Join Breeza and Maso each week for some booze free banter about life without booze - being sober isn't boring! They will be bantering on about their past relationship with booze, why and how they cut out booze, and how good life really is without booze. The girls will educate you, shock you, and humour you as they share their stories and those of others who are living a sober life. What they won’t do is lecture you like your parents would have when you snuck out of home at the age of 15 and had a skinful of passion pop. Letting Go with Jo

We had overwhelming feedback about our episode with Anthony Hammond (ep 67). Something struck a cord in each and every one of you. A few days after the ep drop we were contacted by his wife Jo. Jo wanted to share her side of the story.

This is a powerful chat with a strong woman. A woman who went on the rollercoaster of addiction with her husband, to support him, to protect her sons, and to keep everything together. As Jo explains, being the supportive wife of an alcoholic is a lonely place. There is so much shame, anger, resentment, exhaustion, and worry that comes with it.

According to the experts, Jo did everything wrong, she gave Anthony ultimatums - 'stop drinking, or you won't see your family again,' in her words, she was a bitch to him. But ultimately she had love and hope for the man she married.

We know Jo's story will give hope to those who are suffering in silence and playing the support role of a loved one in active addiction.
