They will be bantering on about their past relationship with booze, why and how they cut out booze, and how good life really is without booze. The girls will educate you, shock you, and humour you as they share their stories and those of others who are living a sober life. What they won’t do is lecture you like your parents would have when you snuck out of home at the age of 15 and had a skinful of passion pop. They don't come more gruff and burly than Jimmy Buckley, but at his core, he is a big softie, with a deep and infectious belly chuckle.

Jimmy played in the Victoria Football League from 1976 - 1990. What a time to be alive! His week consisted of playing footy with his mates, winning games, then frothing on with the boys to celebrate. Jimmy has many fond memories of these years.

But what happens next when your footy career ends, you have no job and the boredom kicks in? In Jimmy's case, his drinking increased to the point of it becoming a daily habit, and at times it wasn't with 'the boys', he was drinking on his own.

Fast forward to 2023, Jimmy hasn't had any booze for over 2 years. In his words, he has 'rebooted' himself, and it's like he can 'see the ball better.' In this ep, you will hear about the courageous conversation that was started by Jimmy's son Dylan, to address his Dads drinking, and to help him on his road to recovery.

The girls think they have met their match when it comes to bantering. Jimmy is a storyteller, he loves reminiscing about the good old days and now he is sharing his story to help others. Buckle up with Jimmy Buckley!
