And I just"},{"startTime":380.879,"endTime":389.669,"body":"sort of fell into blogging as a hobby to begin."},{"startTime":380.879,"endTime":389.669,"body":"And my digital marketing business grew from there."},{"startTime":389.669,"endTime":394.979,"body":"And I started working with clients, I was building"},{"startTime":389.669,"endTime":394.979,"body":"their sites, and I was also growing their social"},{"startTime":394.979,"endTime":400.049,"body":"media content and growing their business through"},{"startTime":394.979,"endTime":400.049,"body":"content marketing, that's like, you know, writing"},{"startTime":400.049,"endTime":406.559,"body":"and creating cool graphics and just sort of"},{"startTime":400.049,"endTime":406.559,"body":"getting people's brands out there, online. But"},{"startTime":406.559,"endTime":414.689,"body":"really, it was blogging, and specifically blog"},{"startTime":406.559,"endTime":414.689,"body":"monetization. That really lit me up. So I started"},{"startTime":414.689,"endTime":420.809,"body":"building sites, I would monetize them with"},{"startTime":414.689,"endTime":420.809,"body":"affiliate marketing or create digital products, or"},{"startTime":420.809,"endTime":426.209,"body":"even add revenue if I was getting a lot of traffic"},{"startTime":420.809,"endTime":426.209,"body":"to a certain site, and then I would sell it so I'd"},{"startTime":426.209,"endTime":432.629,"body":"actually just sell the blog, and I was able to"},{"startTime":426.209,"endTime":432.629,"body":"grow them quickly build them, sell them over and"},{"startTime":432.629,"endTime":437.609,"body":"over again and then that developed and into the"},{"startTime":432.629,"endTime":437.609,"body":"business where I'm at right now, where I do that"},{"startTime":437.609,"endTime":444.479,"body":"full time. And I also help people buy and sell"},{"startTime":437.609,"endTime":444.479,"body":"online businesses websites. And you know, having a"},{"startTime":444.479,"endTime":450.689,"body":"website for your podcast is so important because"},{"startTime":444.479,"endTime":450.689,"body":"we all use all of these great tools. And, you"},{"startTime":450.689,"endTime":456.029,"body":"know, for syndication, we have our shows all over"},{"startTime":450.689,"endTime":456.029,"body":"the place. But we really need a home, for our"},{"startTime":456.029,"endTime":462.629,"body":"episodes at home for our website and our brand. So"},{"startTime":456.029,"endTime":462.629,"body":"creating your own website, it's not that hard. I"},{"startTime":462.629,"endTime":467.42900000000003,"body":"know. Like, if you're just getting started, it can"},{"startTime":462.629,"endTime":467.42900000000003,"body":"feel really overwhelming. But there's so many"},{"startTime":467.42900000000003,"endTime":472.889,"body":"great tools nowadays that just make it so easy. So"},{"startTime":467.42900000000003,"endTime":472.889,"body":"that's how I got my start. Oh, my goodness, well, when I started"},{"startTime":523.2,"endTime":529.47,"body":"building websites, it was on like Dreamweaver,"},{"startTime":529.5,"endTime":536.25,"body":"where you really had to build every little bit of"},{"startTime":529.5,"endTime":536.25,"body":"code offline, and then bring it like upload it"},{"startTime":536.28,"endTime":541.53,"body":"online and sort of see if it looks okay, online,"},{"startTime":536.28,"endTime":541.53,"body":"and then go back offline and tweak things. And it"},{"startTime":541.53,"endTime":548.22,"body":"was so time consuming, and visible. And nowadays,"},{"startTime":541.53,"endTime":548.22,"body":"it's like there's just there's WordPress, or"},{"startTime":548.22,"endTime":552.45,"body":"there's site builders, there's things that you can"},{"startTime":548.22,"endTime":552.45,"body":"just go in with a couple clicks, you can drag"},{"startTime":552.45,"endTime":558.9300000000001,"body":"pictures around. You don't have to do any coding,"},{"startTime":552.45,"endTime":558.9300000000001,"body":"or anything that may be a block. getting in your"},{"startTime":558.9300000000001,"endTime":562.89,"body":"way of starting, you can really just jump in"},{"startTime":558.9300000000001,"endTime":562.89,"body":"decide, I'm going to create a website and then"},{"startTime":562.9200000000001,"endTime":566.76,"body":"that day, you can be up and running with your"},{"startTime":562.9200000000001,"endTime":566.76,"body":"website. Oh my gosh, yeah, I've I've heard of"},{"startTime":567.269,"endTime":574.319,"body":"Dreamweaver, I've never done that. Actually, it's"},{"startTime":574.319,"endTime":578.249,"body":"funny, because I don't know how much how many"},{"startTime":574.319,"endTime":578.249,"body":"people in my audience know this about me. And I did. And so I switch to marketing,"},{"startTime":597.569,"endTime":601.289,"body":"and I'm like, you know what, I don't regret my"},{"startTime":601.289,"endTime":608.969,"body":"decisions. So much. I love to hear the backstory"},{"startTime":601.289,"endTime":608.969,"body":"of I mean, like, you know, the ins and outs of"},{"startTime":608.969,"endTime":615.239,"body":"website building. And you've been doing this for a"},{"startTime":608.969,"endTime":615.239,"body":"long time. So I want to ask you, what is it"},{"startTime":615.239,"endTime":621.899,"body":"actually like to create and sell websites? like is"},{"startTime":615.239,"endTime":621.899,"body":"this a I feel like this is like a black market"},{"startTime":621.899,"endTime":625.499,"body":"world that I don't even know about? These are all things that if you"},{"startTime":646.3199999999999,"endTime":651.15,"body":"decided down the road, you might want to sell it."},{"startTime":651.39,"endTime":656.34,"body":"These are things that buyers will be looking for."},{"startTime":651.39,"endTime":656.34,"body":"And it's really no different. When you're starting"},{"startTime":656.34,"endTime":660.66,"body":"a site with the intention to sell it right away,"},{"startTime":656.34,"endTime":660.66,"body":"you're thinking about the same things, you want to"},{"startTime":660.66,"endTime":665.94,"body":"create some sort of really cool digital product as"},{"startTime":660.66,"endTime":665.94,"body":"a lead magnet to get people to grow your list. You"},{"startTime":665.94,"endTime":671.82,"body":"want to create a digital product to sell or a"},{"startTime":665.94,"endTime":671.82,"body":"different way that you have your podcast monetized"},{"startTime":671.85,"endTime":676.65,"body":"even be that you're creating a podcast for the"},{"startTime":671.85,"endTime":676.65,"body":"purpose of selling it, I've seen that happen too,"},{"startTime":677.04,"endTime":683.67,"body":"you can really do so much with it. And when you"},{"startTime":677.04,"endTime":683.67,"body":"want to sell it, you're thinking about Okay,"},{"startTime":683.7,"endTime":688.02,"body":"buyers are going to be looking at how much it's"},{"startTime":683.7,"endTime":688.02,"body":"earning. So you're definitely going to want to"},{"startTime":688.02,"endTime":694.17,"body":"track your profit and loss from the get go if you"},{"startTime":688.02,"endTime":694.17,"body":"can, or start doing it now. And so that way you"},{"startTime":694.17,"endTime":699.51,"body":"can really see what money is coming in and where"},{"startTime":694.17,"endTime":699.51,"body":"you're spending it. It's the same things that buyers want"},{"startTime":719.67,"endTime":724.86,"body":"to see too. So you'll want to have blog posts that"},{"startTime":724.86,"endTime":732.12,"body":"are written with great SEO in mind, you know,"},{"startTime":724.86,"endTime":732.12,"body":"really high value content, and it's a podcast"},{"startTime":732.12,"endTime":735.99,"body":"website, you'll probably want to have your show"},{"startTime":732.12,"endTime":735.99,"body":"notes. notes which I know we'll we'll dig into a"},{"startTime":735.99,"endTime":742.44,"body":"little deeper, but having some sort of text and"},{"startTime":735.99,"endTime":742.44,"body":"image based resources, in addition to your audio"},{"startTime":742.44,"endTime":748.17,"body":"podcasts, you're just putting together a really"},{"startTime":742.44,"endTime":748.17,"body":"great package for a buyer to take on. I was"},{"startTime":779.28,"endTime":785.82,"body":"not a great blogger, because it feels like death"},{"startTime":779.28,"endTime":785.82,"body":"by 1000. paper cuts, anytime I have down and write"},{"startTime":785.82,"endTime":791.25,"body":"something, I'm much better at speaking about it,"},{"startTime":785.82,"endTime":791.25,"body":"grabbing that transcript, and then I can work with"},{"startTime":791.67,"endTime":796.89,"body":"the actual text that way. But oh, my gosh,"},{"startTime":791.67,"endTime":796.89,"body":"blogging, it was just, it was so overwhelming for"},{"startTime":796.89,"endTime":801.54,"body":"me. So I actually want to go back to what you were"},{"startTime":796.89,"endTime":801.54,"body":"saying about SEO, because I know that this is a"},{"startTime":801.54,"endTime":808.62,"body":"big mystery to a lot of my listeners. And it was a"},{"startTime":801.54,"endTime":808.62,"body":"huge mystery for me as well. When I got started. I"},{"startTime":809.22,"endTime":815.34,"body":"I think my problem was I was just stubborn. I'm just going to do my own thing. And"},{"startTime":820.68,"endTime":831.63,"body":"guess what happens? Yeah, they happen. So can you"},{"startTime":820.68,"endTime":831.63,"body":"give us some tips as podcasters is how we can use"},{"startTime":831.69,"endTime":839.4,"body":"SEO, to maybe title our episodes better, or some"},{"startTime":831.69,"endTime":839.4,"body":"of the tools that we can use to kind of even get"},{"startTime":839.4,"endTime":842.49,"body":"us started with understanding SEO."},{"startTime":843.09,"endTime":849.93,"body":"Definitely. But it takes time. And I didn't know about duplicate content at"},{"startTime":2326.17,"endTime":2331.93,"body":"the time.
