And the reason why it came up out is"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":431.04,"endTime":438.09000000000003,"body":"because I started noticing a lot of conversations"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":438.12,"endTime":444.45,"body":"around visibility to be purely on the logical"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":438.12,"endTime":444.45,"body":"side. And that's not a problem in the grand scheme"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":444.45,"endTime":448.38,"body":"of things. Of course, we need to know things step"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":444.45,"endTime":448.38,"body":"by step. And we need to know the strategy."},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":449.43,"endTime":456.9,"body":"However, for the people who genuinely find it a"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":449.43,"endTime":456.9,"body":"struggle to follow the step by step, not because"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":456.9,"endTime":462.93,"body":"the steps aren't clear, and it's not because"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":456.9,"endTime":462.93,"body":"they're incapable or anything like that, is"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":462.93,"endTime":469.86,"body":"because there is a layer of consideration that is"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":462.93,"endTime":469.86,"body":"just not there. And to this day is still not"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":482.19,"endTime":487.59000000000003,"body":"talked about enough. And so I really started to"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":487.59000000000003,"endTime":492.72,"body":"have these underground conversations at first,"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":487.59000000000003,"endTime":492.72,"body":"just to see if anyone else felt the same, or was"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":492.72,"endTime":497.88,"body":"it just a pure projection on my part? Because"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":492.72,"endTime":497.88,"body":"that's one thing that I'm always aware of is like,"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":497.88,"endTime":503.37,"body":"Okay, I know, I feel this way. And it's not that"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":497.88,"endTime":503.37,"body":"it's not enough for me to feel a certain way. And I chose to, to really go through this"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":599.729,"endTime":608.639,"body":"huge undertaking, and it was really huge. And"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":599.729,"endTime":608.639,"body":"honestly, the work is far from done in the grand"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":608.639,"endTime":616.529,"body":"scheme of things. I don't think it can be done in"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":608.639,"endTime":616.529,"body":"my lifetime. But something happened. During the"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":616.529,"endTime":624.539,"body":"Black Lives Matter movement in 2020. It was a huge"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":616.529,"endTime":624.539,"body":"wake up call for me. And I realize how much of my"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":624.539,"endTime":632.6089999999999,"body":"life I was I've spent in ignorance, and the things"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":624.539,"endTime":632.6089999999999,"body":"that I didn't know that I didn't know, you know,"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":632.639,"endTime":640.559,"body":"and then I realized that any conversation around"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":632.639,"endTime":640.559,"body":"race, I could not contribute to because I was so"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":640.5889999999999,"endTime":649.109,"body":"spending so long, trying to be neutral. And I"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":640.5889999999999,"endTime":649.109,"body":"realized that being neutral only, like enables the"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":649.319,"endTime":655.349,"body":"oppressor to continue. Do you know and I just"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":649.319,"endTime":655.349,"body":"thought, oh, gosh, there's so much that I need to"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":656.219,"endTime":666.329,"body":"unlearn and learn. And I knew that just talking"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":656.219,"endTime":666.329,"body":"about what it's like to feel safe in one's skin. I"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":666.329,"endTime":671.999,"body":"didn't want my own trauma to be what qualified."},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":666.329,"endTime":671.999,"body":"We've talked about it because it's not. Yes, I"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":671.999,"endTime":677.039,"body":"have lived experience with it. But there's a very"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":671.999,"endTime":677.039,"body":"fine line between sharing one's lived experiences,"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":677.549,"endTime":682.829,"body":"and projecting those experiences as if it's true"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":677.549,"endTime":682.829,"body":"for other people. So for me taking on that"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":682.829,"endTime":690.9590000000001,"body":"certification allowed me to become more and more"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":682.829,"endTime":690.9590000000001,"body":"impartial, when it came to that and to know how to"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":690.9590000000001,"endTime":696.809,"body":"hold a space that is trauma sensitive. And I am"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":690.9590000000001,"endTime":696.809,"body":"really being mindful of language here that there's"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":696.809,"endTime":704.159,"body":"a lot of misrepresentation on the internet, I"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":696.809,"endTime":704.159,"body":"guess around being trauma informed. You see trauma"},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":704.159,"endTime":711.119,"body":"informed a lot more, because it sounds better."},{"speaker":"Mai-kee Tsang","startTime":704.159,"endTime":711.119,"body":"Right?
