Anti-Shounen: Chainsaw Man and Attack on Titan
In this episode, Rex and Alex discuss the insanely popular anime series, Attack on Titan and the most recent 2022 anime Chainsaw Man. Specifically, Rex takes this opportunity to explain how he views these two shows as sort of "Anti-Shounen" in that they maintain many of the same aspects of typical shounen but they put those tried and tested shounen tropes on their heads in a satisfying way. Warning: The following episode may contain several minor spoilers for Attack on Titan and Chainsaw Man.
