Dr bodino is a licensed clinical psychologist and a dance movement therapist, and she brings a very unique perspective on how a child's movement is deeply connected to their psychological well being. In this episode, we'll explore how children express themselves through their body language, often in ways that words can't capture. My hope is that when you finish this episode, you'll walk away with a little inspiration to move along with your kids. Now let's get started. Dr Laurie badino, thank you so much for coming on the podcast. I'm so excited to learn more about what you do, and I can't wait for people to know about what you do so that maybe they can think about using your services and integrating it into their family life. So first, tell everybody, what do you do for work? Yeah, thanks for having me. So I'm a licensed clinical psychologist and a board certified dance movement therapist. I work with children, zero to 18, always collaborating with their parents, educators and other medical providers. And I work in private practice in my office setting, as well as going into homes and really collaborating with a full integrative approach with other professionals as well. And I'm also a mom of two, so I'm right there with everybody, navigating these these adventures with our children. And I love doing podcasts and workshops and writing books. And I also work at pediatric hospitals for children with cancer and special needs at bedside. So lots of things. This is my my world, tried and true. Everything I do is all about the Developing Child, the more I've been reading about what you do and learning about your work. I think it's so true that movement and body language are really integrated into our mind. And I think especially when it comes to children, there's so much that we learn and gain just by looking at their body movement. So I think that's really cool, that you are putting the two together, that 1,000% I love.
