And typically the"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":305.13,"endTime":310.29,"body":"appraiser works within their own"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":305.13,"endTime":310.29,"body":"area of specialty, or will"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":310.29,"endTime":314.25,"body":"employ as a kind of"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":310.29,"endTime":314.25,"body":"subcontractor, another appraiser"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":314.55,"endTime":318.78,"body":"is a special because I'm not an"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":314.55,"endTime":318.78,"body":"expert in, let's say, Picasso"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":318.78,"endTime":323.16,"body":"prints. So if I was asked to"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":318.78,"endTime":323.16,"body":"appraise a collection of Picasso"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":323.16,"endTime":326.43,"body":"prints, I could run the"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":323.16,"endTime":326.43,"body":"appraisal, but I would have an"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":326.43,"endTime":332.16,"body":"expert, be the actual appraiser,"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":326.43,"endTime":332.16,"body":"I can do the paperwork, and I"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":332.16,"endTime":336.33,"body":"can present it and so on as a"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":332.16,"endTime":336.33,"body":"qualified appraiser, I have the"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":336.36,"endTime":340.74,"body":"credentials for that"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":336.36,"endTime":340.74,"body":"qualification. If it was"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":340.74,"endTime":343.62,"body":"something within my own area of"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":340.74,"endTime":343.62,"body":"specialty, I could do it to"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":343.62,"endTime":347.58,"body":"myself. But that's one example"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":343.62,"endTime":347.58,"body":"doing an appraisal for insurance"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":347.58,"endTime":351.06,"body":"purposes. And there are several"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":347.58,"endTime":351.06,"body":"others. It's common, for"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":351.06,"endTime":357.06,"body":"instance, someone might want to"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":351.06,"endTime":357.06,"body":"sell property, perhaps as part"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":357.06,"endTime":362.13,"body":"of an estate. But in order to do"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":357.06,"endTime":362.13,"body":"that, legally, they may need to"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":362.13,"endTime":366.87,"body":"have an appraisal done as part"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":362.13,"endTime":366.87,"body":"of the Estate Settlement. This"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":366.87,"endTime":371.22,"body":"is not an insurance appraisal,"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":366.87,"endTime":371.22,"body":"someone selling something, they"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":371.22,"endTime":375.69,"body":"need to find out an idea of what"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":371.22,"endTime":375.69,"body":"they could expect if they sell"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":375.69,"endTime":380.58,"body":"it. And we present what's called"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":375.69,"endTime":380.58,"body":"a fair market value. So this is"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":380.58,"endTime":384.12,"body":"a different level, you can"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":380.58,"endTime":384.12,"body":"appraise the same object for"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":384.12,"endTime":387.84,"body":"insurance, or fair market value."},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":384.12,"endTime":387.84,"body":"And typically the fair market"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":387.84,"endTime":391.74,"body":"value is, is quite a bit less it"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":387.84,"endTime":391.74,"body":"maybe half as much or even less"},{"speaker":"Nick Dawes","startTime":391.74,"endTime":395.88,"body":"than the surance price.
