Speaker 1:

In today's podcast episode I wanted to share a really interesting discovery call that just provided me with so much insight and perspective that I knew I had to share it here on the podcast. I think this is going to be a beautiful opportunity to open your eyes at what areas of your business you can start shifting to make big leaps and strides. Welcome back, my name is Adrienne and I am the CEO and founder of ambitious and caffeinated. I help moms start and grow a widely profitable online business while putting motherhood first. Ambitious and caffeinated helps our clients go from struggling solo printers to thriving empires. I started my entrepreneur journey as a team mom who just wanted to be home with my babies and custom create my career. I knew that the nine to five lifestyle was never meant for me. The business model I designed and created allows me to get pay daily, stabilize my income while working part-time hours as a stay-at-home mom. Now I help other moms turn into online CEOs, get paid daily and own their power in motherhood. Not only do I cover all the things marketing and business, we get deep here and we don't shy away from the vulnerable chats. You can find me on Instagram at ambitious and caffeinated, or head over to our site at ambitious and caffeinatedcom and you can check out the free resource vault and all of the courses and programs I have available. I'm so grateful that you're here.

Speaker 1:

Let's dive into the episode. So I'm just going to dive into this because the backstory is that she was a leading well currently is a leader in her very unique industry and has been for over a decade now. Even during COVID, their sales increased and they were able to sustain during that whole situation, which is phenomenal because a lot of businesses didn't have the opportunity. But unfortunately, her sales have dropped by almost 50% since 2023, so in the last year and they're noticing the industry is becoming saturated. And these were the two biggest things that she noted from me. Number one the competition was starting to reach out to her for advice on how to grow, and the undertone of this conversation was that she was really nervous that she was going to be replaced, and this allowed me to really come up with some interesting strategies around this. I'm going to show them in a minute. The second thing that she wrote down or had a conversation she had this written down. She was reading to me. Her audience was growing, but most of her leads already bought from her. She only had one signature course. It was under $1,000. So once they bought from her, there was basically no next steps, and so, from my perspective, I was really grateful for these problems because, in fact, they were exactly how we were going to bring her sales back up to quota and also beyond. So here are the two reasons and ways that we are going to bring her sales up and explode her business once and for all.

Speaker 1:

Number two these competitors. I told her straight up why don't we play with the competition? Are they really competition if they're constantly reaching out for advice and support? Because, like, the simple answer is no. So I told her it was time to create an offer ASAP on serving this super unique demographic. I brought up masterminds, one-on-one calls, courses, etc. The sky was really the limit here, and there was no one else who was a mentor in her industry. It's not a thing. I'm not going to disclose any of that out of respect for her information, but we, I told her, we may as well develop an offer for this section of your audience, because it's quite obvious that they are looking up to you as a leader and we should play with it.

Speaker 1:

The second thing is her audience already bought her one offer, and this is great because we know that they've been loyal followers for years, even after purchasing, and they were very happy with their investment, which is like amazing, because that's not always the case. I told her it was time that we opened up a high touch membership or mastermind to provide them that next level support. There really needed to be those next steps because people were looking for it, and so I told her a moderate launch not even like a full sweat, blood and tears launch, but like a moderate launch would bring her back over the six figure sales benchmark that she was reaching for for the year to come, because they'd be on a payment plan as well. So I just was providing all of these insights and, lastly, I proposed that she started introducing an affiliate program for those who are in the similar industry, but also ensuring that there was a juicy compensation plan. So her affiliates were actually motivated to sell, motivated and excited to sell, because they got to keep a large percentage of the sales.

Speaker 1:

So the reason that this would have worked in the first place with her is because, well, number one, if we are providing anywhere, I definitely recommend, if you're wanting to do affiliates for specifically courses, more passive things or scalable programs like masterminds, having a really good kickback anywhere from 30 to 70 percent. 70 percent is extremely steep and that totally depends on what type of course you're providing, and only makes sense if you have the next steps available. So, as I mentioned, if we are going to be opening up let's just say, an open ended mastermind, so people can always enroll If they come into that course, they can clearly see that there's an next step available for them. So, essentially, we are being paid for new leads for our new offer to come in. So it's kind of a win-win. And so in this instance, I recommend her to keep the affiliate kickback at least at minimum 30 percent, because the people we are proposing to be an affiliate for her, they have large followings and if at least five people in her audience bought from her, that would mean an incredible pocket change for that influencer. Slash collaboration, slash partnership, whatever you want to call it. So what this looked like for her is that number one with the affiliate, she was hitting a completely new audience altogether and that person who was marketing her courses were, in fact, getting paid a beautiful compensation.

Speaker 1:

The second thing is we're creating next steps for her entire bank of leads. She had hundreds of people who already came through her course. She just had never thought to make those next steps. And the third is she was creating new income generation streams just from all of these offers. So, just from having the affiliates, from having the next step for her course enrollments and being able to provide mentorship for the competitors, she just opened up two to three new income streams that would completely stabilize the game. And the most insane part is this all happened in 30 minutes. I think it actually was closer to the 25 minute mark, because at the end she's like how can I work with you? From time to time, I open up different, started completely free strategy calls and, of course, my discovery calls do look like how I can support people, but this was specifically on a strategy call on how we could grow someone's business and they were completely free. But this is why it's so important for you to invest in someone who is an expert in their industry and I do not mess around when it comes to growing someone's business, when it comes to looking at the gaps in their business and the holes and ensuring that I can support them indefinitely.

Speaker 1:

The goal of walking out of my private mentorship container is always for my clients to be able to look back and say I believed in myself, I did the work and I made it to my goal, because I don't just tell you what to do. It's a co-creation. I look at what you've already done and we look at ways to make it work better. And we really look into your personality. So what you like doing, what you don't like doing, how you enjoy showing up your bandwidth, everything so we can custom create the most beautiful strategy that's sustainable. And they empower you and educate you along the way so that if our container you know the end of our five months comes up, you don't have to resign. It gets to be like I get to invest in this mentorship and the space and the support. It's not I have to or my business is going to crumble, and I think that's so important to note. One of the most powerful things I do for my clients as soon as they come into my container is we actually look at the gaps in the holes in their industry so that we can effortlessly serve and sell out in the most authentic way.

Speaker 1:

It is so wild to me how these little pocket checks, like, for example, playing with a competition doing the affiliate marketing and you know the next course she was so in her business, she could not see that those were even opportunities. So these quick pocket checks have made my clients literally thousands, some of them overnight, some of them in a course of a week and some of them in the course of a couple months, and that's they're all. Okay, one is not wrong, One is not better than the other and oftentimes it exploded their business. I remember this one client I was working with. She we did a quick pocket check. It was she paid for a 35 minute call or 30 minute call and we went through it and I was like this is the hole that you need to be focusing on, and that day she gained 300 Instagram followers literally from making that tweak and shift, and I was just blown away, absolutely blown away.

Speaker 1:

I think it's also important to note that we don't all have the same 24 hours, and so this is why it's so important that we maximize every pocket of time available to you and ensure we have a sustainable strategy that allows you to feel supported while reaching these goals. This is a huge reason why we decided to introduce affiliate marketing for her because it allowed her to still have complete autonomy over the amount of time that she had in her schedule while still increasing visibility and sales and all of the things that she desired. So this was like cherry on top for her. And I just also want to note the importance of rinse and repeat. We start with a digestible, proven to work strategy and we build off of that once we've mastered the first piece of the puzzle. That is how it should be. Whether you are hiring someone to support you with your strategy or if you're doing it yourself, you need to have that first piece of the puzzle or lay down a solid foundation so the whole thing doesn't come crashing down.

Speaker 1:

And I cannot emphasize the importance of having a strategy that can be done again and again and again. It should be a system, because if you're always on to the next strategy on 30 different platforms, half-assing it, everything you implement is going to be so limited and not have that compound effect that we're all looking for. So, for example, I've talked about in previous episodes, like the Facebook group strategy. If you are networking in Facebook groups, if you only give it a couple weeks, you're not going to see the results of that. But if you are networking in Facebook groups for let's just say, three months, you are going to start getting very visible, very noticed. People are going to start remembering your name and they're going to start silence, stalking you. That's what you want.

Speaker 1:

If you are, have only posted four reels and you're like yep, it's not going well for me, it's not doing good, I'm not getting the results that I'm desiring. This is just not working for me. That's actually not true. You did not give that strategy a real try and, unfortunately, when you hire someone else out to support you with your strategy, you can't even look at them and actually say that you gave that strategy your 100% and so kind of. In essence, by you not following through with your strategies, you are setting back your business so much because now you have to retest the waters. So following through on a strategy at least for 30 days, going full force into it, is how you're going to see your results. That was a complete side. Don't totally didn't even mean to get into that a little ramble, but it's so true. It is so true.

Speaker 1:

If you're wanting the compound effect to be on your side, you need to be consistent. You need to find your rinse and repeat strategies and stay strong with that. And the most beautiful thing is, once you master the rinse and repeat, this is when you can start outsourcing. So, for example I talked to in a previous episode Facebook groups have been working really well for me for like three years now. It made sense for me to outsource some support there. I know that oh my goodness, stories are doing so well for me, so I schedule out a lot of stories to provide high quality content because I know they work well for my business. I know that my podcasts work well for me, so I prioritize it in different seasons of my business because it works well for me and I outsource the support there. Once you know something works really well, you can see that it makes sense to invest in support, because if it's already working really well, you can have support with that and stack on your strategy.

Speaker 1:

Um, anywho, I just want to have a quick conversation. I always go on these rambles, but it just kind of goes to show that I have so much to say. I was actually intentionally making all these podcast episodes closer to 10, 15 minutes and I feel like I just always go over because I can't stop rambling, but I just want to emphasize the fact that you are enough. Less can be more and you are completely capable of reaching your goals. We just need to clean things up and be more strategic. And I just want to note if you're looking for support and you feel like your sales and your marketing and social media is just really messy, don't shy away from reaching out to someone who can support you.

Speaker 1:

I always tell my clients that cleaning up their sales and marketing strategy mess is the equivalent of playing Tetris to me. I love it, I love Tetris, I love Suduko. So if you bring me a mess, I'm going to clean it up and you're gonna love me for it. But it's like. It's like that instant satisfaction of like I see light at the end of the tunnel and I can see it come to life. It's like watching your garden grow. You know, like, when you go out and you're like, oh my gosh, I just I see a green, a green leaf popping out, like I'm so excited it's, it's the equivalent of watching it grow.
