Today was talk with Lizzet Suarez. Lizzet identifies as a a "first gen" American, "first gen" college graduate and Latina. We discuss her path post-undergrad and her decision to take a service year and the impacts on her pursuit of graduate school and professional aspirations. She's currently in her first year of studying towards earning her Master's of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. We discuss the importance of investing in your local community, essential nature of representation, and how small moments can lead to a web of impact.
