Thomas Doerig / Michael Gooch

Today's guest is Michael Gooch, an avid conservationist and birder based in the Mallee region of northwest Victoria where he runs an eco-tourism business called Explore the Mallee with his partner, Louise. He is also the National Coordinator of the National Malleefowl Recovery Group. We discuss the Mallee itself as a habitat, and the amazing birding that it offers. Michael and I also talk about the state of the ecotourism industry post-COVID, eBird, the Malleefowl, and, of course, the ins and outs of his business, Explore The Mallee!
