In this episode, we interview artist Lyjah Vaatete an up-and-coming tattoo artist from the renowned tattoo studio "Vatican Studios" in Lake Forest, California, owned by black and grey legend & founder of "Bishop Tattoo Supply" Franco Vescovi. Lyjah has spent three years in his apprenticeship under his father and legendary freehand tattoo artist better known as "OwlKing" Alexis Vaatete. Who is known for his amazing freehand owl tattoo designs. Lyjah has spent the last two years working as a full-time artist out of Vatican Studio, where he has the honor to work alongside well-known tattoo artists; his ability to learn from many great artists has helped him find his place in the tattoo industry with only two years as a working artist, he's been able to understand composition and depth a talent in which many artists tend to struggle with even after many years of tattooing. Lyjah discusses what it's like being a part of a refinery culture and where he wants to be as a tattoo artist.
