Jesus’ ministry continues to grow. He calls a new disciple and controversy ensues because of who Jesus is reclining and eating with. More altercations follow as Jesus seems (at least to the religious leaders) to violate the Sabbath—the heart of orthodox observance. Enemies become friends in order to destroy Jesus. A "rule of life" or "rhythm of life" is simply a set of practices or a structure we create to help us consistently create space in our busy lives to experience God's presence and love. In a perfect world, we would all have the self-control to maintain deep relationship with Jesus all the time, but unfortunately we lose our way fairly often. A rule of life is like a trellis in a vineyard guiding the vine to growth - the guidance assists you in practicing the Way of Jesus and growing in relationship with Him.
Join us for a series of conversations discussing the practicalities of creating and maintaining a rule of life!
