Government and Crypto

Bill discussed the current macro outlook and crypto government related issues including updates on the Tornado Cash and Ripple lawsuits. Some of the key highlights of the session are below: 

• Macro Update - The markets reacted to the latest CPI data release resulting in a volatile day for both crypto and equity markets. Bill discussed some of the political and economic factors that are contributing to inflation. 
• Crypto and Government - Bill provided updates on the major lawsuits surrounding Tornado Cash, Ripple and the SEC investigation into Yuga Labs (Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs).  
• BTC & ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) -  Bitcoin’s use of energy consumption has come under scrutiny in recent years, with some critics arguing that it is not sustainable. Bill discussed how this has become a major theme and debate within the crypto industry.  Many funds, platforms, and corporations are developing ESG policies which govern their business.
