The first sightings of the notorious Spring-Heeled Jack took place in London in 1837. This “devil-like” entity was said to have a bizarre appearance and had the ability to make extraordinary leaps in a single bound. Citizens of London were terrified when they were met with gaze that resembled eyes of “red balls of fire.” With sharp, metallic claws at his fingertips, this lecherous beast, that could breathe out blue and white flames, would strike fear in the generations to come.
