Show Notes

In this episode I talk to Dr Honor Carroll, head of student counseling in MTU. We talk about why counseling is about doing what is right for you and not focusing on what is wrong with you. Honor discusses how to engage with the counseling service in MTU and what it might look like for you as a student when you do so. Honor also shares with us 3 golden nuggets for all students to consider to support their mental health. We finish off the podcast by discussing 2 important initiatives for students to be aware of in MTU, the Speak Out Campaign and the 24 hour student helpline crisis number. This podcast will hopefully give you a sense of the supports that are available to you in MTU. Honors positive and humerus approach in this podcast will brighten your day.

Thanks for your interest in health and wellbeing and remember it is your journey so you chose.
