317: Under The Cover, What Your Putter Choice Says About Your Golf Soul

CHASING DAYLIGHT

Send us a text

The eternal golf equipment debate takes center stage as Joe abandons his trusted Strokes Gained putter pre tournament, comparing it to putting a misbehaving child in "timeout." This sparks a fascinating conversation about the psychology behind our club choices and when to make changes.

Meanwhile, Jeremy delivers perhaps the most shocking equipment news imaginable - his conversion from a die-hard Titleist devotee to a new Callaway driver owner. The team jokes that Jeremy must have "a Titleist serial number engraved on an artery connected to his heart," making this change comparable to a religious conversion. His tournament victory with the new driver suggests that performance ultimately trumps brand loyalty.

The discussion evolves into memorable analogies when comparing golf equipment preferences to face wash and Mexican food, culminating in the instant-classic line: "Lab is the menudo of golf." This perfectly captures how equipment choice remains deeply personal despite what others might think.

We break down Tiger Woods' devastating Achilles rupture (describing "minimally invasive surgery" as perhaps the kindest description ever of such a brutal injury), preview The Players Championship with odds and sleeper picks, and discuss the surprising restoration of TPC Sawgrass to Pete Dye's original strategic design intent.

The VGN Boulder City Municipal tournament recap reveals the challenges of adapting to dormant course conditions, while the upcoming Creator Classic at TPC Sawgrass promises entertainment from golf's content community. Join us for this equipment-focused episode that reveals how our club choices reflect our golfing souls.

Speaker 1:

What is up everybody? Where did everybody go? There they are. Hey, what is up everybody? Welcome to another episode of the Chasing Daylight podcast, episode 317. Let me just keep on knocking these bad boys out. Joe is here. How you doing tonight, sir.

Speaker 2:

I'm good. How are you?

Speaker 1:

Good man, Good Jeremy, is here fresh off his victory over the weekend. How you doing.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, doing great.

Speaker 1:

All right, and Dan is here as well. Good evening, sir. How's it going? Hey, it's baseball season. I like seeing the Dodger hat on you.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, and it's baseball season, baby, let's go.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, good news from the Yankees Gary Cole out Tommy John surgery. So right on.

Speaker 2:

Good news.

Speaker 1:

Way to have that surgery. What A couple weeks before the season starts. Good timing, great timing, great timing. So baseball season's already on a downer for me, but you never know, we still got hockey season, we still got a ton of golf. You're gonna become an ace fan anyway, so it's fine, uh, well, I mean, I'm always going to the yankees, but, hell yeah, I'm gonna be an ace fan. Why not right raiders fan?

Speaker 3:

now someone needs to be that is true.

Speaker 1:

That is true now. I loved that. I love the old a's from the the early 90s. I mean, gosh, there, that was just some some fun baseball back then. Um, all right. So, uh, I want to give uh some love, of course, to the people that show their support and sponsor us for the show. Uh, the golf stop, the indoor track man facility on saint rose here in west henderson love that place. Jeremy's been going there a lot, taking his son now that he's got the bug for golf again and they just have I don't know if it's still signups are available, but they have their spring golf league going on right now. So if you want to get some indoor golf in, competitively wise, go check them out.

Speaker 2:

I think you sell. I think you're selling that a little short. Jeremy's son has now got the bug.

Speaker 1:

He's, like now a collegiate golfer, basically a future collegiate.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's a company scholarship he yeah, got on that, he got on the golf team yeah, middle school team, he's got a.

Speaker 3:

He's got a qualifier tomorrow for the first tournament.

Speaker 2:

So yeah, he doesn't have the bug, he's basically professional I forgot it.

Speaker 3:

I think it might be palm valley oh, wow so I might need to go play palm valley with him um, uh, let's see who else we got.

Speaker 1:

Uh, las vegas golf superstore. Thank you for your support. Uh, roars golf, as always. Love roars golf and scott russo from un Unwritten Law for allowing us to use harmonic as our intro still. So, thank you everybody for that.

Speaker 1:

If you're watching the show live on YouTube, thank you for joining us. We do this every week on YouTube. We also are live on Instagram. The feed on Instagram isn't always as great as it is on YouTube. You know quality issues and such, but we get a lot of people joining us on Instagram. So if you want to get in the chat over there, great place to do it, youtube is a place you can do that as well, and also on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Speaker 1:

So, uh, thanks everybody for who is joining us. You got anything you want to chime in on, feel free. We love, we love the comments. We love the interaction. We love getting everybody's thoughts on things. Um, you know, we we have our opinions and we share them, but uh, we, we love hearing what everybody else has to say as well. So, uh, let's see, let's start off with uh, oh, we'll go right to joe not using uh strokes game putter at the tournament this past weekend yeah, that was kind of a surprise for everybody, and I mean he was showing it off and and you know, letting everybody know how uh disappointed he was in in the what he's been putting with.

Speaker 1:

So I think, yeah, not the fact last time I saw anything besides that, stroke gains was three years ago at national.

Speaker 2:

I'm pretty sure you tried out at olsen then yeah, I bring it out every once in a while when I'm the person at fault, just to let you know like it's like a mind game. You know, putters have a mind of their own you gotta put them in the corner every now and then every once in a while, right.

Speaker 2:

So that's what I did and uh, it did not work for me. So everything within like six feet I felt very uncomfortable with. I felt like I couldn't make anything inside six feet. So it was just, it was a time to get a little uncomfortable with what I was doing and then now I can go back to comfort and just put my ass off. Strokes, game, wars. Golf is uh where I belong and that's where I stay. Sometimes I take a little vacation every, every once in a round, and uh, yeah, it was. It just happened to be the round and it was a tournament and it's probably not the best place to do it, but I figured, uh, I was walking out the door, I was it. I didn't put very well last week, so I'm just going to swap this real quick just to give next week a better opportunity to put better. That's all it was.

Speaker 1:

Look at, look at Boyd coming in firing. I'll let the people who are watching see this. If you're listening right now on on the podcast, you're going to have to hop on YouTube and watch to see what that says. Uh, that's too funny. Um, yeah, that was. That was a short-lived experiment for, uh, mr boyd. Uh, he is. He is back with an odyssey putter and back with a callaway driver. Um, jeremy did a hell of a job, uh, sellingaway drivers for us by just bombing it all over Boulder City, muni. And then everybody was coming up talking about when can I get fit for a driver?

Speaker 5:

I think Zach is interested in it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but so, jeremy, now that you've played it for a little bit, you've got a tournament win under your belt with it. Let's get the skinny.

Speaker 2:

I think what's so unexpected is like title is tattooed on your heart Like oh yeah, it always has been and for you to make the switch to Callaway driver is pretty drastic. Switch to Callaway driver is pretty drastic and I think a lot of people that saw it and maybe were interested in fittings don't understand like the depth of your love of Titleist and for you to make the switch is massive.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it is. It is huge. I mean, I've always had an eye for a Titleist driver. Even though it's it's, it wasn't the best one for me, like my experiment with the TSR4 that lasted a couple weeks. I just buy a driver because I like the look of it, but whether it performs or not was a low priority for me. So I just thought you know what Two buddies they're fitters I might as well take advantage. Let's actually go and get fitted. And I didn't even end up in the driver. I expected I mean, it's, it's sort of a difference it's.

Speaker 3:

It's sort of an odd combination um with the you know higher, I mean you probably have like a.

Speaker 2:

Like a title is serial number at the I have a tramp stamp.

Speaker 5:

I have a title is no, it's engraved on an artery that connects to your heart, like you were born with a serial number in your heart.

Speaker 3:

So it's massive. Yeah, I kind of pass that on to Zane. Now he's the Titleist guy in the family, because you're getting rid of all of it, right? Yeah, exactly the irons woods putter. Yeah, I mean this guy's playing Callaway driver.

Speaker 2:

He's playing new level irons. Look out.

Speaker 1:

He almost bought some wedges. He almost bought some wedges.

Speaker 3:

It's true, I do need new wedges, and it's the toss-up right now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he'll forever roll a Scotty though.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's not going to change for sure that's.

Speaker 1:

That's never going to change correct.

Speaker 2:

Just don't go get fit, and then you know, then you're, no, I won't I'm not never doing a putter fitting because I know for sure I'll be like

Speaker 1:

a mallet of some kind uh, I want, joe, I want you to come over and and not trying to get you into an odyssey putter, but I want you to because I have so many different varieties right now what kind of putter covers do you have for them? Got putter covers, don't worry about that. But I want, I want you to come just to to feel all the different types of putters that there are. You know, because when you go to the Look, I'll play a mallet putter.

Speaker 2:

If it fits into a blade putter cover, we can make that happen. We need a mid-mallet putter, collapsible mallet putter.

Speaker 1:

We can make that happen.

Speaker 2:

I will tell you for the first time in my life.

Speaker 1:

No, I don't want you to play a mallet. I want you to play what you want, but there's, there's different variants you and you just cut me off, it's fine.

Speaker 2:

No, so there's different variants.

Speaker 1:

No, you cut me off, we're done no, I, I think we were both kind of speaking at the same time no, I was, I was what were you gonna say?

Speaker 2:

I want, I want to hear the, the open-heartedness for the first time in like three, three years, like I felt like I had to search for something on the greens because, like I haven't been playing well, okay, so, and that doesn't bother me, right, it doesn't bother me, I'm driving it very well, my irons are great and the. The thing that's really killing me is like I feel like I am the world's greatest chipper, flopper, runner, creative person around the greens and I'm not feeling that and I'm not putting very well currently. So like I went to the Las Vegas Golf Superstore, shout out Las Vegas Golf Superstore and rolled some stuff and I hated all of them. I hated all the mallets. I was like trying to find there was.

Speaker 1:

There was one you actually rolled some mallets, yeah, of course. Um, yeah, I try everything, if I go, of course, like, like it, I'm not.

Speaker 2:

It doesn't mean I'm gonna play it doesn't mean I'm gonna play it. I mean there's no putter cover on them when you roll them on the green. So, um, this is true, but there was one about a year and a half ago I wish I had bought. It was like 80, it was like a. It's like a rossi or something like it was a rossi or it was a tailor-made, uh, equivalent of a rossi, and uh, I wish I had bought it just to have. I did it. But uh, yeah, they all felt like trash when I went down there. That's probably because I'm not putting well right now. So that's not the putter's fault or my fault, it's just, you know, life's fault. Uh, it's not the putter cover's fault either, but uh, yeah, I was, and that's that led to me bringing out the olsen just to switch it up a little bit.

Speaker 1:

What were you rolling before the Strokes Game Putter.

Speaker 2:

I had the Bettinardi Remember we went and bought it after Cristiano.

Speaker 1:

That's right. I couldn't remember if that was the one you had.

Speaker 2:

SMGA Tournament.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Cascada, I put it like shit with shit. I don't even know what I had before the veterinary. I don't remember.

Speaker 1:

Well, you had you know you had the stroke lab odyssey that you sold to Mike.

Speaker 2:

That's right. Yeah, I had the stroke lab odyssey before that and then, probably before that, I had the two ball thing. Oh works Wow.

Speaker 3:

I can't picture that at all.

Speaker 2:

No, I'd never do that again, but you know it was there. Yeah, wow, heffy from, uh devro, shout out, heffy, uh, I'd rather putt worse than putt with a round lab putter. I feel the same exact way, brother. Hey, and I'll be out there in june, so I want to play grass clippings.

Speaker 2:

I'm gonna hit you up, june, june but, yeah, I mean I was, I was, I, I you know I'm great off the tee, I'm great with the irons currently, but I just cannot chip and putt. So I think I need I think I need more bounce on my 60, because I'm digging a bit Well, the ground isn't exactly great right now for conditions.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I was caught off guard Not necessarily caught off guard, but I had a week where we practiced at the Summit, rio Seco and Southern Highlands and then just some of the best practicing conditions you can get in town and then we go play Boulder City, muni, where there's tufts of grass, you know, and and dirt and and just dormant, very, very dormant, ragged conditions and uh, you know, I I'm like I haven't hit off a tight, dormant lie in a long time I don't mind.

Speaker 2:

I don't mind dormant lies. I just think that the turf is, uh, I don't know it's. Uh, it's slicing. It's like you know, it's a little sliced toast, it's white bread right now it's. If you don't have a lot of bounce, you're just cutting right under it. It's not going to work for you, um, but I'm also coming from playing every three weeks to. I played like the last three weeks in a row and I'm playing again friday, so like it's four weeks in a row that I'm playing, which is awesome oh, where are you playing?

Speaker 2:

friday uh legacy with uh woody um, but I wasn't playing a lot. There was like three months there where I was playing every two or three weeks.

Speaker 1:

Did he fill all the spots Because I told him I couldn't. I have no idea, I'll have to ask him.

Speaker 2:

Because we're probably concerned with anyone else I know I know, you know Woody puts those like random things together and you know some talent just works. But you know, yeah, I, you know Woody puts those random things together and sometimes it just works.

Speaker 2:

Yep, yeah, I'd like to play better. I don't really care if I play better, but I think I need more bounce on my 60. At least I need a 60 with bounce instead of 8, because I'm just fucking. I'm cutting little locks, I'm cutting locks for bagels and I'm just stacking salmon on bagels. I should open up a deli. You know what I mean joe.

Speaker 2:

So how do you wish you played better, more than you wish you would just have a great time every time you play no, I just want to hit good shots, I want to have fun and, uh, I want to be out there, because I can't be out there all the time. So, but when it, when it comes to chipping, because I feel in my heart like I'm so sick of chipping and if I'm not chipping, well then that fucking might eat at my heart.

Speaker 1:

A little bit because I feel like I I saw you what it is. I watched you hit a chip shot.

Speaker 3:

That was bad and it just I just heard the air that might have been the second one, yeah.

Speaker 2:

I cut a little salmon off the skin. You know, I just laid it on a bagel, real quick that's what hurts.

Speaker 2:

I could care less if I fucking blow it in the trees, but if I can't hit a good chip and then I hit a bad chip again after the first one that I sucked at, that might eat at my heart a little bit. But the weather's nicer, so I've been grilling in the backyard and I've been picking up the 60 that Jeremy snapped, which has a new shaft in it that I use for my backyard wedge.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, I'm working on it. Dan, what did you think of Muni and the VGN outing that we had out there?

Speaker 4:

I thought it was a lot of fun. I enjoy playing Muni. I actually like Muni better than I like Las Vegas Muni Boulder City Muni better than I like Las Vegas Muni.

Speaker 2:

I think that's accurate. Me too, I agree.

Speaker 4:

I thought the course was. The greens were set up a little tough. They had some questions about hole locations.

Speaker 2:

That's William Bell. Isn't Boulder Muni? William Bell Same as Torrey, I think. Let me look.

Speaker 1:

I have it on the VGN website. On the pages the attorney page I'm listing all the architects and everything.

Speaker 4:

There was a couple of holes where I mean it was tough to get close to a few of those pins where you'd hit a good shot and all of a sudden it just trickles and trickles and trickles and trickles and your six foot shot is now 19, 20 feet away from the hole, like I've seen that a couple of times, and the 15 green, two-tier, 15th green Holy crap, I love this, designed by Billy Casper and David Rainville back in 1973, boulder City Municipal is a golf course where you are treated like an old friend.

Speaker 4:

I got the old part right. That's ridiculous. Yeah, a golf course that is not forgotten.

Speaker 2:

I got the old part right. That's ridiculous. A golf course that has not forgotten that golf is a game that should be played for fun and not be overcharged. I like that.

Speaker 3:

Amen.

Speaker 1:

Their salads come on Dixie plates.

Speaker 4:

That salad was pretty though.

Speaker 1:

I think it was fiber green it was. The chicken looked fucking perfect they picked that, that salad, up at the, the, the food mart, and you know the street vendor just an hour beforehand I think muni courses are very slept on like eat, like food places.

Speaker 2:

they'll come at you with like a amazing burger, you know what I mean, and they'll just be like, yeah, it's on a Dixie plate and here's a fucking tissue for a napkin, but it's a good burger.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's a good burger. That's like the best part getting the Dixie shit. You know, absolutely. It's part of the experience. It's charming.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 4:

It treats you like an old friend.

Speaker 1:

It's like an old friend. It's like an old friend, yeah, if you will, yeah. So here's the uh, here's our winners. Look at that guy right there, jeremy martin won the diamonds division, victor sanchez won the spades division, danielle to phasian won the hearts division and chris phillips won the club's division. Wasn. Wasn't any real shockers, score-wise, vic played really well, but I think everybody for the most part played in their flight well. Sick hoodie. Oh, we must be talking about Jeremy. Do you have a sick?

Speaker 3:

thing, of course I do.

Speaker 1:

He's got his cloud hoodie on. Oh yeah, there, it is right there. Oh yeah, that's also Travis.

Speaker 3:

I'm unofficially sponsored. That's what I like to say.

Speaker 1:

Unofficially sponsored.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, keep playing like you did this weekend, you might get it. You might start a YouTube channel and just blow it up. Maybe I will.

Speaker 1:

So I'm happy that everybody had a really good time. We had half the field finish in four hours and 15 minutes, which was amazing. I don't think we've ever had that many people finish that fast.

Speaker 2:

Then the other half we had some issues and had some little we had some issues and, you know, had some little conversations with some people. This is the biggest issues in golf. It is it is.

Speaker 1:

And you know, like I said, but the lead, the front half of the tournament finishing in four hours and 15 minutes, was. I was excited about that Because normally you'll get like one or two groups in the lead that just take off. But I mean, everybody held court all the way through. I think our first eight groups, eight or nine groups and, uh, then we had a little little bump in the road and and had some struggles coming in. But you know, that's that course. If you're not off the tee straight and you're in the trees, it can be a long day. So, um, uh, you know a lot of people struggle out there. I was really happy with the way I started and then I shit the bed really quick on the back, uh, after a couple bad breaks that I just couldn't recover from, and then I checked out and uh, uh and oh, I was just, I was birdie or better, like after six holes.

Speaker 1:

Basically, yeah, it's not a birdie and it doesn't matter yeah, I I was four over through nine and uh I I made it some. Really I I threw. I made three putts in a row to save par on uh six, seven and eight and I had a couple really you know good putts to save bogeys that it could have gotten a lot worse and uh was really happy with the way I was playing. Then I put one in the water and on nine and uh it made a good recovery but then botched it around the green and I got a terrible break on 10, um, made a par on 11, felt like I was coming back um but you lived to fight another day, that's that's the

Speaker 2:

moral of the story. You live to fight another day. You were here now. You're still alive oh, you know a couple years ago and, uh, if you five and a half like, you'll still live another day. Speed it up, speed it up.

Speaker 1:

Speed it up, speed it up, but we got the field is filling up. The field is filling up for Boulder Creek. We have 56 in right now. There's 16 spots left. There's still 34 guys that haven't responded to the invite, so I have a feeling that one's going to get up to 72, so we'll be happy about that. That's going to be a fun one, um. So yeah, bg is off and running about what you know.

Speaker 2:

What's great about vgn is all it takes is one shot, right, one opportunity mom's spaghetti. I played like shit. I hit a great shot on our closest to the pin which you played. Your own hole in your division on the par threes is the closest to the pin. I hit the best shot of the day. Now I get to play golf for free or not free, free, but my money.

Speaker 1:

Can you got your entry there we?

Speaker 2:

go. It takes one shot and you're golden. Yep, see you at boulder creek. I'm gonna have both strokes gained in the bag and watch out now we're gonna do a putter fitting I'm gonna have to go get a wedge with 10 degrees of bounce and, uh, look out you know, I I I have a couple strokes gained wedges that are 60 degrees, but they're made 58s right and they're bent.

Speaker 1:

I can't do a bent wedge. It has even more bounce.

Speaker 2:

So it's a 58.8?.

Speaker 1:

No, but when you bend it to 60, they it adds bounce right, so it should get more bounce.

Speaker 2:

Well, I don't know what they're not. There we go. I mean, I'll play with it, of course yeah, we'll have to work on it super jake life coming to vegas in june. Let us know what you need Info.

Speaker 1:

Nice Good time to come. Hot, hot, hot. Bring the sunscreen, yes. Or your arm sleeves and leg warmers, ah, floatation. Leg warmers For summer Warm your legs in summer, dude, come on, you know Leg protectors.

Speaker 2:

Leg protectors maybe.

Speaker 4:

Comments from his videos.

Speaker 1:

Yes, some of the comments from my videos. Oh hey, we'll talk about that real quick. So, yeah, had some fun with the gentleman today. Good Lord.

Speaker 2:

Best friends.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we were trying hard to you know, be stepbrothers People just don't be an ass. All right, yeah, just don't be an ass.

Speaker 2:

Look, I know you want to be famous, matt. I mean, you can't always post. Oh, that's my goal. You're looking to go viral, so I guess, yes, yes, you got to deal with these guys.

Speaker 1:

I'm a butt-hurt pussy because I respond to comments.

Speaker 2:

How do you have time in your day?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, because I'm a stay-at-home dad, of course I have time to comment on every comment you post, I'm sitting in my mansion from all my Callaway-sponsored money, you know, jesus. Anyways, aside from that, that, whatever that was today, uh, the, the video is approaching a million views now. Shocked, honestly shocked. Uh, I know a lot of it took off from people, uh, from from the lab fandom that got on there and were spewing shit back and forth, but you know there's a lot of there's. Aside from what jerk off said today, there are a lot of people on there that agree with what I was trying to do in the video. So, um, for those people, thank you. Um, but so what I've done? Uh, I I've decided that once it gets to a million views which it's going to happen eventually I mean just just based on what's it's been doing over the past couple past week it's going to eventually get there.

Speaker 1:

So, uh, I'm going to have a giveaway on 1440 golf. Uh, I'm going to give away a putter. Uh, I have obtained a putter for this. It's a, it's a brand new Odyssey putter that I'll be giving away. More than likely will be the Jailbird, hopefully. I'm trying to see if I can get the slant neck like the one I have in the video. So I'll do a post where I'll give that away. And then I'm also going to send the winner one of these hats, and then I'm also going to send them one of these shirts. I made this. 1440 can't afford a lap putter, which is funny. And then I also have a swag mallet putter cover that I'm going to put in there. So it's going to be a nice giveaway how we'll figure it all out. Will come as put in there. So it's it's going to be a nice giveaway how we'll figure it all out. We'll come as the as it gets there.

Speaker 2:

I think one thing guaranteed is you're gonna have to be a subscriber on YouTube to chase and daylight podcast and Instagram, so do that now. That's automatic right.

Speaker 1:

I am not a lab hater BJ calm down.

Speaker 2:

But I think that's automatic. Automatic. So if you're not, if you're not subscribed to youtube or chasing daylight podcast on instagram, do that now and you could win a putter at some point, because I think that should be an automatic thing for the giveaway I'm gonna have to talk to some of these people that have big YouTube accounts and see if they've done shit.

Speaker 1:

I still have this marker from last year from Atomic Golf, the peach ice cream sandwich marker. The person that commented never responded to any of the comments, and so another person that commented never responded to any of the comments, and so another person that commented, I. They never responded. So, um, this is still. I mean, we will do this for masters Probably give it away again. Um, that was my. That was me knocking on the wood, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Funny. It's like the world of like, uh, giveaways has changed so much, like, because social media is like do you remember I mean long time ago probably, probably before dan or jeremy were even here like you and ryan would try and give stuff away, you'd have this little synopsis where, like this is not affiliated with instagram.

Speaker 1:

Blah, blah, blah oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, remember that I still have that saved?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm sure. And now it's just like it's a giveaway, Like tag this fool and tag your friends and yeah, put you up, yeah.

Speaker 1:

We did that royalty golf Vegas wedge that we went down on the strip drew the numbers. It was fun at the Vegas sign Cyrus actually won that wedge when he was still in Canada. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Hey, speaking of Cyrus PGA, his little clip the other day where he short-sighted himself. That was a good little clip with him and Danson. Did you see that?

Speaker 1:

I didn't see it.

Speaker 2:

It was a good little clip.

Speaker 1:

He's got an IA.

Speaker 2:

Cyrus.

Speaker 5:

Teachable Moments. It was a good little clip. He's got an MIA, cyrus.

Speaker 2:

Teachable Moments. It was a good little video. Go back and watch that. Cyrus Teachable Moments. I like that little clip. That was good, but yeah, he has MIA'd a little bit.

Speaker 1:

Mr Regala says I wasn't a fan of Lab but it has definitely helped me. It's ugly, but affection. Hey, if, like I, like I have said, if it works for you, rock that shit. Don't listen to me, don't listen to anybody else. If you roll it and you're confident and you make putts with it, rock that shit.

Speaker 2:

You know, like I love a. I love washing my face with apricot scrub, but so it's too rough for some people. But I like it so I'm gonna use it. You know what I mean?

Speaker 1:

that has to be one of the best transitions ever.

Speaker 2:

Lab putter to apricot scrub do you guys use apricot scrub? It's great, I love it, makes your skin feel soft. But some people don't like it. I like it, so I'll use it. That's basically the point. If it works for you and you like it and use it, it's all that matters, do it? Some people don't like mexican food and now I would agree that they're stupid, because it's the best food in town anywhere in the globe. But some people don't like it. They don't like, it't force them.

Speaker 1:

I'm more of a mango body butter guy. After a layer of almond body butter, nice.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, there you go. Yeah, yeah, there we go. I'm going to shut out Jordy.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to have to write that down. Lab to apricot.

Speaker 2:

Great analogyj.

Speaker 5:

Yes, I know oh, I don't like menudo I saw you eat menudo.

Speaker 2:

If you enjoy menudo, eat menudo. I don't like menudo, so I'm not gonna eat menudo. The same thing lab butters, so it's better, that should be there.

Speaker 4:

Pozole is better.

Speaker 2:

Pasole is better, but that should be. That's a great marketing idea for them. Lab is the menudo of golf, like it helps you with a hangover right yeah it does if you're shitty at putting it. Helps you if you're drunk, and putting it helps you If you're drunk and you go the next morning.

Speaker 4:

You get a Modelo and a Pasole. You are good.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, there you go, the Menudo of golf that's funny.

Speaker 1:

Steven Jackson has a problem.

Speaker 5:

He just sends me this, these, these look good, you know, some new mirror irons.

Speaker 2:

It's like oh yeah, they just dropped those today. I saw, yeah, right I'm a child.

Speaker 1:

Oh man, that guy is hilarious. All right, uh, let's see Tiger.

Speaker 4:

We'll do Tiger.

Speaker 1:

Woods right now Ruptured body.

Speaker 2:

Little moment of silence for Tiger Woods.

Speaker 1:

I will say, one of my deepest fears in life is getting out of the car and like somebody sitting under my car with a knife and just slash my achilles, little little pet cemetery action.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't want my achilles to die. I feel like you know, like I, my achilles should last longer than I do.

Speaker 1:

You know what I mean yeah, and I and I loved how they said a. They said minimally invasive surgery. Yeah, no, hard disagree, hard disagree on a ruptured Achilles.

Speaker 4:

That just means the scar is going to be small.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, mm-hmm, that means he's getting some Cyberdyine new robotics installed to support the weight from his robot leg fucking.

Speaker 3:

Cpu is a neural net processor yes, you think it's impressive that he's had all of these injuries and surgeries that he's like. Is that something that you're impressed by, or do you feel like there's a point where maybe we wrap it up for Tiger? I don't know. What do you think about that?

Speaker 1:

He's got nothing to prove. In my opinion, he's arguably one of the greatest. Him and Jack are, you know, the greatest golfers we've ever seen. You know you could always add to Mount Rushmore with Hogan and Palmer and you know Bobby Jones. But okay, you've done it, you've got nothing left to prove.

Speaker 3:

That's your.

Speaker 1:

Mount Rushmore, it's not yours.

Speaker 2:

I didn't say it was mine was just curious, if that, if that's where we're going, I mean well, wouldn't you?

Speaker 1:

wouldn't you consider that the mount rushmore of golf? Tiger jack are up there, yeah I mean there's four heads, so you know you got to leave somebody out but, I think for golf you can put a fifth and it'd be okay, Chi-Chi Rodriguez.

Speaker 5:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I think Min Woo Lee's got to be up there and I think Matt Wolfe automatically.

Speaker 1:

Are you talking? Content creator Matt Rushmore.

Speaker 4:

No.

Speaker 2:

No, you'd be up there, right. I mean, there's so many people you can put up there, I'd be up there, right I mean, there's so many people you can put up there.

Speaker 1:

You know, I'd be up there chiseling my own, I think everybody's could be very different.

Speaker 2:

Right like sam sneed could be up there dan what's yours? Like you said, bobby arnold, of course yeah, tiger jack bobby johns ben hogan very respectable I mean it just. It just depends on how funky you want to get with it. I might, I'd probably go like tiger jack arnold trevino, well savvy. Uh yeah, that's the hard part, man.

Speaker 2:

Anyway, I just made the biggest mount rushmore ever everybody's mountain is going to be different the thing is is everybody's is going to be jack tiger and it's the two you can fill it. I just I. You sounded like you solidified that and I was just like no, it's just I.

Speaker 1:

I was saying because everybody like, when you hear top five golfers ever, it doesn't matter what order, but typically you're going to have those five names on average. On average, I would say that that's where I was going at. But so, like I said, tiger's got nothing left, left, left to prove. Um, I mean, he's doing tGL, he's spending time with.

Speaker 2:

Charlie. I want to know how it happened. There's no news on what happened to that, because I want to avoid all that at every cost. You know what I mean.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, as the body ages, things happen, things happen.

Speaker 2:

We've done it working out, he'll play Masters. It'll be fine we're good 2027?

Speaker 1:

He ain't playing in 2025, I'll tell you that that is, yeah, minimally invasive is the kindest words I've ever heard anybody ever say about Achilles rupture surgery.

Speaker 3:

Do you think the tiger feels like he has more to prove, though? Like do you think that's why he keeps keeps it going, like after these major injuries? Like do you feel like he thinks he's not done or?

Speaker 2:

I think he'd like to get to Jack. I mean yeah, I think he thinks he can. That's the only thing. I mean yeah.

Speaker 1:

I think he thinks he only thing.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I think he thinks he can win the Augusta one more time, or the open or yeah, if just one more victory would just give him the all time wins. Yeah he's tied right now with it, so I think he'd even take that just one more win in anything. Yeah, he's got what for to catch Jack in the majors.

Speaker 2:

I mean yeah, yeah, yeah, it's not happening yeah, yeah, tigers ago.

Speaker 1:

He's one of them yeah, yeah sucks a lot like that, with all these bad injuries.

Speaker 5:

But yeah, I mean the car accident is a rough one yeah the car accident really set him back other arrests where he was high as shit.

Speaker 4:

The last 10 years have been a little rough for Tiger it hasn't been a great run.

Speaker 2:

I mean it's crazy, though. Imagine yourself in his shoes. I mean I can't blame him at all. That's got to be a tough life to live.

Speaker 5:

It's crazy.

Speaker 2:

It's work man. That's a tough life to live. He probably doesn't have the same passion about golf that we do I don't know.

Speaker 1:

He's really into the course design and he's got Charlie and I would say Charlie is his spark.

Speaker 2:

now I don't think it's golf course design, I really don't think. Tiger.

Speaker 1:

That's part of his life. He enjoys it.

Speaker 2:

I think he enjoys it, but not to the. He was groomed for this. You know what I mean. He was groomed for this, you know what I mean. Oh yeah, he was groomed for all this. But I think Charlie is the spark. He wants to show Charlie that he still has it. I think that's the one thing that really keeps him going.

Speaker 1:

I mean the shots he's hitting at TGL. Yes, it is indoors, but it's still. I mean they're hitting on real grass and he is hitting the golf ball, hitting at tgl. Yes, it is indoors, but it's still. I mean they're hitting on real grass and he is hitting the golf ball. So it's it's. You know he's not walking the course and and doesn't have the the. You know the stress of moving that much during a round or practice rounds, but I mean his swing still looks great, he's still throwing up solid numbers and the people that were at the Seminole they said that he looked fantastic.

Speaker 2:

That's the thing, though, with the reps he's accumulated. He's accumulated so many reps Like it's not going to disappear. I'm just wondering if he has the spark.

Speaker 1:

I think as long as he thinks he can win, the spark will still be there as soon as he, soon as he gets to the point what's that?

Speaker 2:

I think it's going to shift to charlie, like the charlie spark is going to be more more of a spark for him than his own spark, because I mean that's, I mean a ruptured achilles is massive fuck.

Speaker 1:

I don't even want to do that ever like.

Speaker 3:

That's worse fear on a tendon in my body, like I don't want to deal with that shit I mean, I can't imagine, like the therapy and everything that he does, the working out to build the strength again, to even have confidence, to even walk a golf course or swing.

Speaker 2:

He probably spends hours every day just to get ready for a round of golf.

Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm. You know, oh, the pregame for him is probably more stressful than the game.

Speaker 2:

It probably takes longer than the round of golf. I mean literally.

Speaker 1:

All right, so we got. Tomorrow.

Speaker 2:

He's going to win the players this year, though he's going to enter tomorrow night, he's going to win the players On one foot. It's going to be a lab putter. They're going to screw a lab putter into his foot and he's going to be playing on a lab putter with his foot and he's going to be playing on a lab putting with his foot.

Speaker 3:

It's got to be a lab, or else his foot will just be flopping around everywhere.

Speaker 2:

The lab takes up so much space it's like a foot.

Speaker 4:

His foot won't be able to rotate, though it's perfect lie angle balance for his leg.

Speaker 1:

Leg angle balance.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, leg angle balance wow, it's gonna go right into one of those screws that he already has in his leg from the genesis. You know it's gonna, it's just a quick disconnect, Pop pop, oh we are terrible humans.

Speaker 1:

It changes out to a wedge real quick.

Speaker 2:

Stop, guys. No, we need to repent, repent, repent.

Speaker 4:

All right.

Speaker 1:

So tomorrow is the eve of the players and so the Creator Classic is returning. The same folks that put it on at Eastlake last year are doing it again. They're playing the course tomorrow. They have a spot on the PGA website. It's ranking the field for the Creator Classic at TPC Sawgrass. It's Wednesday, march 12th at 4.10 pm. That's 1.10. Our time In the field George Bryan, roger Steele, grant Horvat, and these are ranked by how they think they're going to finish Grant Horvat, wesley, bryan Kyle, berkshire, fat Perez, gabby, golf Girl, chris Solomon that's Solly from no Laying Up. Tisha Allen and Trent Ryan those are the 10 players playing in it. So I mean I'm going to tune in because it's golf, it's Sawgrass and, you know, let's see if it does better than what the good good debacle was.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. Beds said that Aaron Rodgers did it less than five months right Same injury. I don't think so. I think it was the knee.

Speaker 1:

I don't think so I think it was an Achilles. I don't think it was a tear.

Speaker 2:

Yeah it was a tear, not a rupture.

Speaker 4:

Aaron Rodgers was like I'm high at ayahuasca and fucking, darkness deprived and oxygen deprived and you fucking name it. That's a weirdo bro.

Speaker 1:

He had leeches suturing his Achilles back together.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but at what time is that? What time is the creator thing at?

Speaker 1:

1.10 our time, if they have it at 4 10, so I'm sure they're doing it as the the evening comes on I think it'll be better than the good.

Speaker 2:

Good for sure, I mean. Yeah, well, the the east lake one was really trash oh man, they played so fucking bad.

Speaker 4:

I mean, it was like really bad the east lake one.

Speaker 2:

I thought the east lake one was decent no, the east lake one was good.

Speaker 4:

We're talking about the good, good, good, good one grass clippings grass clippings.

Speaker 2:

Oh, grass clippings. I thought you said he's like yeah, yeah, the grass clippings one wasn't good and roger steel like I think it's. It's a lot of different characters that add to it and you have to have the right characters. Like roger steel is a solid like add to it and you have to have the right characters. Roger Steele is a solid add to that lineup. He'll add some character to it. But it's like, yeah, that good good one sucked, but last year's Eastlake was great. I'm expecting this one to be decent, if not better than the Eastlake one.

Speaker 1:

Yes, nice to see Sully out there so we can see how he does.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think he's going to shit the bed. He's a good player, but I think he succumbs to pressure. If you've watched his Gasparilla videos where he's got to play. He's playing the gasparilla jacksonville and he just you can't handle it. But maybe with him being on tv more and more lately, like no laying up's getting a lot of love for commentary on espn and nbc and maybe that's helped. We'll see, see, I hope to watch it. We'll see if we can make it happen.

Speaker 1:

All right, let's bring in a Maddie G to get the this weekend's forecast.

Speaker 5:

What's going on everybody? First their meteorologist, matt Contar, here at Fox five, we're looking pretty good for this weekend If you're getting some practice in at the range after that Boulder city Muni tournament, hopefully everybody did pretty good. But if you've got to work on some things Saturday at 65 degrees and then we're up to about 71 degrees on Sunday so looking at a jump in temperatures. Overall, though, pretty dry this weekend, a little breezy on Saturday. Sunday once again looking like the better day in the lower 70s. We're some golf here in Las Vegas.

Speaker 1:

Have fun. Nice weather's coming. Boulder Creek's going to be amazing, yeah, yeah, so yeah, I'm playing some golf. It's going to be raining Thursday, so that's going to be nice.

Speaker 2:

Hey, shout out, jordy man. That's a tough situation. I'm glad you're doing all right.

Speaker 5:

Oh yeah, let's see what else we got going on.

Speaker 1:

Players I'm glad you're doing, all right. Yeah, let's see what else we got going on. Players oh yeah, we got Jeremy talking about the new driver. We got that. We got down here Lab and Apricots. We're good there. All right, hey Joe, why don't you bring up the odds? We'll go over the odds. Actually, I have them here. You want me to do it or you want to do your thing? Go ahead, go, yeah, go for it. Well, they're not in order.

Speaker 2:

So you, you bring up william hill we'll give william hill a little bit of love because, uh, shout out william hill, we haven't been shouting out fantastic sports betting opportunity in las vegas. Uh, william hill still waiting for the call, but we still support you every single week. Uh, it's going to take me a second, but if you're not joined in with William Hill and you're in Las Vegas and you bet on sports, william Hill is your best option. So give me one second and I'll pull this up for you.

Speaker 1:

Here we'll do a quick. People who are watching. Would you pay $145 for a coffee mug? It's gorgeous, it's beautiful. I clicked on the link because I was like damn, that's sick. Then I saw the price whoo and it's sold out and it's sold out and a lot of them on the site are sold out. Hamiley ceramics checkics Check it out. It's an amazing website. His videos are incredible. Stuff is really, really sick. What's your top line budget for a coffee? A 16-ounce coffee mug, Let us know, $10.

Speaker 2:

$7.

Speaker 1:

$7. It better say Dodgers on it.

Speaker 2:

Or free, if you can have your friend, friend talking the Pinehurst track restaurant, snagging one because they didn't sell them.

Speaker 1:

But I drink all the time Waffle House mugs free because you just leave with it. I don't even care.

Speaker 2:

I don't know, I do not know that, right, uh, sawgrass, we're in jacksonville this weekend. Um, for those that are not in the matt bb pool, did you get in it, matt? I know, oh, I haven't. I haven't even seen yeah, I always.

Speaker 1:

I always get into them. I haven't seen it.

Speaker 2:

I did get the email today. I am in the player's pool for that, so that's $30. But your tournament winner, scotty Scheffler no surprise there 5-1. Colin Morikawa second 10-1, along with Rory 11-1. Ludwig 12-1. That's probably a good bet, ludwig's a good bet. Uh, fleetwood 18 to 1 probably won't win but it's possible. Um. Justin thomas 22 to 1. Hideki 25 to 1 uh got snuffed a few years ago if you remember. Zander 25 to 1. Sep stracca 28 to 1. Can't lay no smile. 33 to one. Shane lowry 35 to one, along with daniel berger and russell henley, who just won. Cory connors, canada 40 to one. Jason day 45 to one.

Speaker 2:

Keegan, upcoming captain of the rider cup at beth page, which I played, uh is 50-1, along with Wyndham Clark Sungjae 55-1. Jordan Spieth playing a lab putter this weekend, it's confirmed 55-1. Tom Kim 60-1, along with Aaron Rye, the double glover. Taylor Pendrous 65-1. Will Zalatouris 70-1. Hope your back is doing well. Tony Finau 75-1. Jt Postman 80-1. Hope your back is doing well, tony Finau 75-1. Jt Postman 80-1. Doug Gimm, Vegas resident, 90-1. Sahith Tagala 100-1. I like that bet. Jake Knapp smoothest, smooth, smooth, swing 100-1. Chris Kirk shout out, true Linksware 150-1. Billy Horschel 175-1.

Speaker 1:

Bo Hosslerser eating fucking pastries in texas.

Speaker 2:

I saw 175 to 1 I saw, I saw, uh, he posted a pastries in texas. I saw that, uh, peter malnati, peter malnati 300 to 1. David Skins 500 to 1. There's any players? I skipped a lot.

Speaker 1:

Harry's in the field. He tees off at 1113 our time. He is plus 25 thousand, so he's down there. So we want to make some money. He's down here, he pulls it out.

Speaker 2:

Five on him right now. There you go.

Speaker 1:

But it should be a great tournament. Did you see? I don't know if you're watching live from today. They were talking about the tree is back on the sixth hole. Did you watch that story?

Speaker 1:

that's crazy what they did? A 500 000 pound tree they moved and put back where the old one was. And so now that that window that you have to hit under the tree on the 6t, they moved the tee back uh, like 70 yards or 60 yards and put the tree there. So now you have a longer shot and you have to keep it low. They said that the last couple of years players have just been able to bomb it down there over the bunker about 285. Can't do that anymore. So it's going to bring back a style of play that Pete Dye envisioned, which I am always glad to see. Love it when these guys have to force to hit shots. You know it is kind of a tricky thing that you have this tree in the way, but hey, it's like a tight shoot Instead of narrow and long.

Speaker 1:

it's short, so that should be, yeah, dan, did you see that story? Did you watch that at all? You have to you'll have to.

Speaker 4:

What story was that? It's on uh live at uh on uh golf channel uh of the tree yeah, well, I didn't see the story, but I saw a video of actually I think it was bo hostler, now that joe mentioned that, um, he hit driver and smoked the tree today oh did he oh yeah, so you're definitely gonna have to do something.

Speaker 4:

Um, uh, rory hit three wood, went over it. Whoa went over it. Wow, three wood. Yeah, so I don't know how those guys are gonna plan plan to play that hole, but, uh, I think, off the tee. That just got a lot harder a lot harder.

Speaker 1:

They said it was the easiest par four the last two years since the tree has been gone. Yeah and uh. They expected to play a lot more challenging this year, so did they show them actually moving it in the video?

Speaker 1:

yeah, I gotta go watch that well and they showed a little bit of it. But on Instagram there's a slide, a carousel where it's got a different video for each time, and they show the process where they just take these huge air bladders and they dig underneath the tree and then put these bladders in and then blow them up and then they just roll it. An amazing engineering feat to be able to do that, because that tree looks like it's been there 100 years. You know, did you guys?

Speaker 4:

happen to see that little thing that the fried egg did about sawgrass. How they talked about how it's trying to. It pretty much went away from um the original design and became more of a resort golf and they talked about how they showed, like all the old pictures of how the greens it was way rugged.

Speaker 2:

It was super rugged back in the day.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I was like, wow, what a difference like night and day, like if they could restore the greens back to original. Those guys don't have a chance yeah, you know it's.

Speaker 2:

It's crazy, but um yeah, you know it's, it's crazy. But um, yeah, those like quotes from all the players. They're like this is the joke, this is mini golf yeah, that'd be sick.

Speaker 4:

I love it. Yeah, they shut down and just restore back to what the original designs were the original contouring.

Speaker 2:

That'd be fucking ridiculous I think it might happen one day maybe I think to there and maybe pebble, like I mean.

Speaker 4:

I know but look at, look at the look at the success, look at the success that you know um pine, pinehurst number two, yeah, you know, after they redid that, look how good fucking southern pine looks. Joe, remember, yeah, and they shall have seen the pictures of it before and then after.

Speaker 5:

Sometimes, you restore things to original designs, it does.

Speaker 1:

It does of course a lot better speaking of restoring, joe was was dan, uh, herrera, messing around about the north latin vegas, part three, getting restored? Are they actually doing?

Speaker 2:

something I think he was messing around okay it's like nobody dumping money into that place yeah, gil hance, jim wagner coming out there they're just gonna dig everything up.

Speaker 1:

Joke is gonna use some of the contours of the trash dump and uh yeah, I don't think that's open.

Speaker 2:

I mean it's not a terrible piece of land where they could do something special out there no, they, they totally could. I mean, it could be a hill type the city of north las vegas is not paying anybody oh hell any type of, like it would take us and timu tracker tractors to go do that and you know a bunch of tacos for free or something.

Speaker 1:

We have to figure out another way to say TEMU, because ever since we said that on the golf course the other day, all I get is fucking ads from them on my phone. Now it's just absolutely ridiculous. Can't go five looking at five different things without a Teemu ad popping up. Yeah, all right, so does Scotty get three in a row? No?

Speaker 2:

I don't think so, but he has a better shot at Rory, I think. Better shot than Rory Than Rory, yeah, better shot than Rory Than Rory, yeah, I mean because if you're in the pool the top box is Scottie or Rory. You can only pick either.

Speaker 1:

I'll go Scottie over Rory all day.

Speaker 2:

I would too here, yes, yeah, just because he's a much more accurate player off the tee. I think Saheeth Tagala at 101 is such a sleeper pick. I mean he might not win, but I feel like he has a chance.

Speaker 1:

I mean a $5, $10 bet. Finau's trending right now too. He played really well. Finau's not winning. Yeah, I like Finau, but he's not going to win.

Speaker 2:

He's not going to win Wow Finau. I like Fino, but he's not going to win. He's not going to win Wow Fino you don't win. This just in Joe hates Tony Fino. I'm going to have to make a fucking reel that says when you hate Tony Fino and I got to throw out like a honey.

Speaker 1:

He hates family.

Speaker 4:

He hates Utah.

Speaker 1:

He hates everything.

Speaker 2:

Tony's dancing, I got to go to a Maverick and be like no, I go to 7-Eleven.

Speaker 1:

This is what 7-Eleven is selling you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, I think Saheeth is a really good bet at 101. He might not win, but I mean at 101, he for sure has a chance to win Sawgrass.

Speaker 1:

It's going to be good. Yeah, it's going to be good. So you got the Creator Classic. Then we got Sawgrass. We don't, our fittings are going to get canceled this week because rain on Thursday and bad weather on Friday. It's not my call. I don't want to go stand out in the rain and have nobody show up. So I respect the fact that you know we will not be out there, but then we'll pick up back next week with more. I will be at Anthem on Saturday because the weather is supposed to be good for that. So I'll be out there. But yeah, anybody else got anything going on? No, I'm playing golf.

Speaker 2:

Friday.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I sent Sean a message to see if that spot's still there, because Friday got canceled.

Speaker 2:

He has a surgery at like 1 o'clock on friday so I was like I'll just take it off and play in the morning and get home by 11, 11, 30, take her and then go get the kids afterwards and we'll be home all weekend. I'm happy it's the players, because I'm gonna be home all weekend.

Speaker 1:

So spring break is uh coming up. Uh, everybody's got school off and uh, next week weather is looks absolutely fantastic. Um, I don't know if we're gonna try and get out of town, but don't know if that's gonna happen, so we will see. Dan, how's the T&M going? Mountain West?

Speaker 4:

is wrapping up Well, not really wrapping up, we're just kind of right in the middle of it. We got the men tip off tomorrow, women's championship game tomorrow, and then I'll be working Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Speaker 1:

They lost tonight If I'm not mistaken. The ladies lost tonight. Oh did they. Yeah, san Diego beat them pretty good. That was a surprise. They're going to get in the tournament anyway. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4:

But to not win four in a row for Lindy kind of stinks, but it's all good yeah.

Speaker 1:

All right, joe, you got anything. Jeremy, you got anything. No, joe, you got anything. Jeremy, you got anything.

Speaker 5:

No.

Speaker 2:

I did get some flags shipped in from Bannon. If you don't follow on Instagram.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we saw this. They're nice. Sure Dan, you going to get yours framed.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, but I want to get it signed first by Joe. Jeremy and Trey.

Speaker 1:

Joe, I saw something that was amazing and since you've got a little flag collection going and I'm starting to get one going as well, Somebody showed they have them hanging on their garage door. Oh, yeah, and then they're all hanging when it's open really sick. So I'm thinking about doing that because I think that would be a cool little look when the when I'm out there working in the shop so I've uh typed a message to flag that golf a couple times and I deleted it and didn't send it.

Speaker 2:

So, uh, I think a course flown abandoned flag bag would be pretty spectacular. Yeah, I don't know how much it costs. So even Jared, jared Deanna even sent me. After I posted that he said he sent me a flag bag and I was like, oh, I know, I know, but that'd be sick, but also it'd be sick to have a course phone flag flying in my office.

Speaker 1:

Flying yeah.

Speaker 2:

So it's like I don't know. I don't know Got to do something with them. They're on the floor right now, but I got to figure something out.

Speaker 3:

Make a jacket, make a coat, there you go. That would be really cool too.

Speaker 2:

Or a quilt. I have Katie's friend that does those jackets, Make a coat. There you go. That would be really cool too. Or a quilt.

Speaker 1:

Katie's friend that does those jackets, make you a jacket.

Speaker 2:

Well, she doesn't sew any of that, it comes from China.

Speaker 1:

Never mind. It comes from China, china.

Speaker 2:

I mean, even like head covers would be sick. But I also don't want to ruin them because that was their element. I kind't want to ruin them because that's that, that was their element. I, you know, I kind of want to keep them in their element where they were on the ground. So how many?

Speaker 4:

do you have?

Speaker 2:

um, I have sheep, both old, max, uh pack pack. I think that's it. Oh and preserve. I have preserve number two, which is probably my favorite. No, he's, he doesn't make it down that way very often, but I do have number two preserve which, if you guys remember, at sunset that is one of the sickest pictures you can take on that tee box.

Speaker 4:

Number two.

Speaker 2:

If it's not 13, it's two for me. Photography-wise, yeah, two is so sick.

Speaker 1:

It is good stuff out there. Alright, what you were going to say, something, no, go ahead. I was just going to say that's it. I'm just gonna tell you to wrap it up.

Speaker 2:

We hit the one hour three minute and 51 second mark well, I was gonna say last night I was cooking on the grill and Jacob Jake, the homie who I met out at Goat Hill, accidentally butt dialed me on. Instagram. I was like why is he calling me? And I answered which I typically don't answer random video calls on Instagram.

Speaker 1:

Does that hurt from Jeremy?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I know, if it's Jeremy, I'm like, I know it's a it's not real um, but I answered it. I haven't seen him for two and a half years. He is a caddy out at pebble. Uh, so he knows, scott, he knows god yeah, he's, he's counting on bags with scott and uh, he's going up to abandon for the first time next week.

Speaker 2:

And, um, yeah we, we talked for a few minutes and uh, he's going up to Bannon for the first time next week and um, yeah, we, we talked for a few minutes and, uh, so stoked for him like, uh, yeah, awesome, gave him a full breakdown. I was like I gave him like a 11 tip message go here, do this, make sure you do this. Make sure you get tacos. Make sure you get biscuits, gravy make sure you get biscuits and gravy, make sure you go to the town of Bannon.

Speaker 1:

You need to do a beautiful golf courses type post where it's like must-dos in Bandon while playing Bandon Dunes.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it just would not be able to be put into one post because there's so many things that that area offers. I had to send him four messages because my characters were running out. But he's stoked, so I'm excited for him. He's a really good dude, great caddy. Hopefully we make it up to Pebble and we can have him on the bag one of these days. He said the pasta tiempo restore played the front nine. He said it's incredible. So uh, gotta get gotta get up there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, joe, joe herrera is headed out there tomorrow. He's doing pasta pebbles by glass doing it all.

Speaker 2:

So good for him, man, I really want to go play pasta tiempo again, man, after that restore. That's the greatest back nine I've still ever played in my entire life. That is the greatest back nine you probably will ever play.

Speaker 3:

It's so fucking good let's go there, I concur.

Speaker 2:

Dan. Fucking good, let's go there. I concur. Yeah, let's go down, dan.

Speaker 1:

So greatest back nine you've ever played it's up there, for sure it's yeah, probably that's a, that's a, that's a, maybe it's it's, it's, it's, definitely, it definitely is.

Speaker 4:

I mean, I wish you guys could play Whispering Pines in Texas, because that course is just fucking unreal. And yeah, I would say, for me Paso Tiempo is probably top three best back nines I've ever played. And it hits you right in the mouth at 10, starting at 10.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, it's just one, two, one, two, and the greens are.

Speaker 4:

And then the green at 16 is just that green at 16 is insane, unbelievable.

Speaker 2:

And now it's a McKenzie, it's like a real McKenzie Restore green yeah it's got to get played again here soon. We got to do pasta and a fantastic logo, incredible logo.

Speaker 1:

Passing the time. Bring it home, Joseph.
