A greenskeeper from Indiana just won a Callaway driver in our biggest giveaway yet, and we couldn't be more thrilled about who took home the prize. When you hear Hesherhack's story—documenting his daily hole-in-one attempts while maintaining golf courses for all of us to enjoy—you'll understand why this outcome feels so right.

The US Open provided plenty of drama this year, and JJ Spahn's victory had us analyzing the two shots that defined his championship run. Was it the clutch drive on 17 that put him in position to win, or the spectacular 64-foot tournament-clinching putt on 18 that we'll remember forever? The hosts break down why the drive was the true tournament-winning shot while acknowledging that the final putt created the perfect ending to his story.

Vegas locals will appreciate our detailed course condition updates, with several under-the-radar gems currently offering exceptional experiences. Paiute, Boulder Creek, and Rhodes Ranch are in phenomenal shape right now—carpets of green that rival any premium course in the valley but without the premium price tag. We discuss why these courses deserve more attention and why you should venture beyond your regular rotation.

Our new segment "All In or Fold" debuts with hosts sharing what they're embracing and rejecting right now. From golf trips and club fitting to rising green fees and internet keyboard warriors, this candid discussion reveals how the modern golf landscape is evolving.

Speaker 1:

What is up everybody? Hey, welcome to another episode of the Chasing Daylight Podcast. Kind of got a big show going on tonight, but I want to thank everybody for joining us here.

Speaker 1:

We are live on YouTube. Well, we're also on Facebook but, like I said, who knows if anybody watches Facebook stuff anymore? So, thank you, everybody that is hopping on Facebook but, like I said, who knows if anybody watches Facebook stuff anymore? So, thank you, everybody that is hopping on YouTube. If you're there, throw us a what's up so we know. It just shows us how many people are watching. It doesn't tell us who is watching. So if you're in the chat, chat, chat us up, let us know you're there. I got it scrolling on the bottom. We're going to announce the winner at 9 o'clock. I've got the wheel of names all ready to go right here. So once we get to 9 o'clock, I have an alarm set on my phone so we don't forget, because sometimes we can get a little long-winded. Hey what's up Colby.

Speaker 1:

Thanks for tuning in, Colby was at the chat.

Speaker 4:

Hold up, Colby.

Speaker 5:

Earlier, earlier, that was already up there when I got in, so uh, thank you, everybody we really appreciate. Yeah, eagle buff, shout out, eagle buff, let's go.

Speaker 1:

We have a lot of new listeners to the show, hopefully. Uh, I want to give some much, much ado, some much love to mike from beautiful golf courses. He was the one that helped us get rolling with this. So, mike, I know you're watching. Thank you so much for your support. We do appreciate it. You're an amazing fella and you know this was. We threw this together on a whim and a wisp and a just do it and the response was pretty crazy. You know he has a huge following. You know not everybody's going to do what they ask, but we did pretty good. We did pretty good.

Speaker 5:

We have 396 entries.

Speaker 1:

You know there were a lot of people that. You know we had over 600 comments, actually over 700 with the other thing, but I took any doubles out because I don't want people getting an advantage because they decided to post more. So, mr Tafajian, how are you doing tonight? Sir, thank you so much for tuning in. Your name is in there as well. So yeah, if you're watching the show and you got your name in the drawing, go ahead and throw up how you doing. Fellas, let us know that you're there and we will get to that at the top of the hour at 9 o'clock. In other news, how are you guys doing tonight?

Speaker 4:

Good, doing good.

Speaker 1:

Doing good. Joe's out jumping on the trampoline. It's only 108 outside. He's outside jumping on a trampoline right before the show. That's pretty brutal.

Speaker 5:

I haven't ran out of breath in a long time and I just did so. I ran out of breath in a long time and I just did so, getting all right it was a hot one today, man, very hot it's it's, it's been hot uh and we got lucky at

Speaker 1:

high ute yesterday because the wind kicked up in the afternoon. I knew a couple people that were out there after us that it was bad. So, yeah, uh, yeah, uh, so, uh. Things on the docket for tonight, of course, the giveaway that's going to happen at nine o'clock. Um, then we got some US Open talk. We'll be talking about that.

Speaker 1:

Matty G is going to chime in with the weather for this weekend because we have a VGN event, a major at TPC Vegas on Sunday, so we'll have that. Then we can chat about some of the courses in town, some of the conditions, because we have played some courses that are in some absolutely fantastic shape right now. That's not getting any recognition. I've been posting it on our page just trying to get a little love out there, to get some people to maybe venture outside their area of where they're golfing at, uh, so we'll be talking about that. And then we have a. We have a new segment. You know we've we've had quite a few segments. We've had segments. We've had segments over the years. Uh, you know, for those that have been around a long time, uh, you may remember this is going way back yeah, yeah, yeah, it's a while ago yeah, rat farts was a recap of all the fuck-ups we made on the week before.

Speaker 1:

Um, so we we stopped doing that. I don't know why we stopped doing that, but, uh, you know that that's what jeremy started, coming in and keeping track of all the all the mistakes we were making, because, you know, we like to own up to our hey oh hey, there we go, shout out birdie.

Speaker 5:

Appreciate you, brother. Uh, that's awesome. Uh, let's see.

Speaker 1:

And then after that, let's see uh, what did we?

Speaker 5:

oh, here's it yeah, look at this instagram yep I think that was such a good segment like we were putting people on game on like just the underground up and coming like golf brands you know I I still get comments from people about it and we we need to do it more why did we stop that?

Speaker 1:

just because with the four of us on the show and conversations next thing, you know, an hour and 10 has gone by and okay for the newcomers here.

Speaker 5:

Look at the look at that. Instagram was a segment we used to do where all of us picked a brand or a course or a profile on instagram that we thought was up and coming right like we called out. So many dope brands and they're and they're doing good. Now, like a lot of those brands we called out are like killing it.

Speaker 1:

Now you know what I mean yeah, so, uh, if I think I do, I still have it on the archives under the ig page. Let me, let me see. I thought I kept everything there. Let's see if it's still in the stories. Yeah, l-a-t-i. If you look at the highlights on our Instagram page, you can see all going. I mean, this goes back to August 2020. It's when, joe started. Yeah, when Joe came on the show and the very first one was Golf Creative and Moxie Sticks, Moxie.

Speaker 5:

Sticks Shout out Moxie Sticks Still doing his things. He's building shit for private courses up there. Golf Creative is a you know gone. Yeah, I don't remember. It's so long't know then I, I had the winston collection.

Speaker 1:

Joe had golf ball gallery for one uh, jacob, adams who's? Now famous for um country club. Adjacent that podcast, I mean, there's some really fun ones to go back and and look at.

Speaker 1:

So uh, if you, you know care to do so, do that. And so we have a new segment coming up. We'll do that after the giveaway. Uh see, if we can't everybody stick around for that, what are dan's odds to win the major this weekend? Well, we've had a little change in the field. Uh, julian, unfortunately, is not going to be able to play. His wrist is not good, um, and so I sent an email out to all the guys in the top flight saying hey, I know you couldn't play before, but if something's changed and we have a new player, that uh is going to take julian's, but not a new player. We have a player taking julian spot. So, uh, that's uh Mr Kowalik. He uh is going to play. So, uh, that just amplified, uh the field. So it's going to be good. But Dan is those that are new here?

Speaker 5:

uh, we run a hundred person golf league in Las Vegas, and that's what he's referring to yeah, the Vegas Golf Network is the league that we, that we run here in town. 110 don't sell it short.

Speaker 1:

Joe, oh sorry.

Speaker 5:

Sorry, my bad, that's my fault. That's my fault. I'll leave. I'll see you guys later, all right.

Speaker 1:

Dan went Tonya Harding on Julian's wrist. I did that would have been Trey. Trey may have done that to Julian's wrist, okay, so let's, like I said, we'll get into that segment later on after the giveaway. Hopefully you guys stick around for that See if you enjoy it. I'm not going to tell you what it's about. You'll have to just hang out and watch and see. But let's get into some US Open talk. It's one of my favorite majors. They're all my favorite majors. I love the major golf tournaments, as do the other fellas and jeremy, hopefully, will be here shortly. For those of you wondering um, but it was, it was. There was some carnage, there was, um, there was some a lot of blood being spilled in the middle of the fairways amazing the golf course played incredibly tough and then it got wet and

Speaker 1:

played Incredibly tougher. There were some people that shined Much credit to JJ Spahn. You know, I know I've been getting a ton of messages From the lab fanboys. I do need to clear the air here. I have no beef With lab putters. My beef is with the lab revealer. All right, sam knows this. We talked about it on the show. I don't care if you use a lab putter. I care what kind of human being you are, and JJ spawn is a damn good human being, damn good human being that guy.

Speaker 1:

I mean, did you hear the story about him up at three in the morning to go to cbs?

Speaker 5:

I love it. I mean just tugging at the heartstrings oh, oh awesome guy. I was rooting for him all week man yeah that dad first that putt.

Speaker 1:

I mean what a way to win. You know, what a way to just drop in the longest putt made the whole week on the on his final hole after starting horrible yeah and uh, couldn't write, couldn't write a better ending.

Speaker 4:

Incredible. And that putt was. That putt was perfect too. I mean I was right in the throat. I mean, if I mean, if you miss, it wasn't going that far past, but it was, yeah, it was just perfect. And and what a way to end a great US Open. Congrats, jj Spahn. That was, that was awesome. I'm going to remember that one for a while.

Speaker 5:

That was, that was sick so all time like at least top 10 moments, at least probably probably five, clearly maybe I mean I mean that's pretty awesome.

Speaker 1:

It's just that big of a putt is huge. It's massive. Yeah, that that goodness. So, um, how, what, what? What's your thoughts on? Who was it? Sam Burns?

Speaker 2:

No, not Sam.

Speaker 1:

Was it Hovland's shot on 18, hitting it a foot or not even a foot behind where JJ was and and giving him the perfect read? I mean the perfect read anywhere else on the green and that's not a small green anywhere else on that green, yeah, the chances of him making that putt drop dramatically.

Speaker 5:

Not that he wouldn't have two putted in one, but I mean when well, he's more likely to three putt that than one putt.

Speaker 1:

Yes, exactly, and I was like, oh shit, this could be some drama. And now I mean, he's like I'm going to stick this right behind where you are, I'm going to give you the perfect read and let you walk away.

Speaker 5:

I mean. So you're thinking. You're thinking that victor hovland wasn't in the running and he hit it, uh, two feet behind no, no, to give him the read.

Speaker 1:

I don't think that at all that's what you're saying no I just think it's crazy.

Speaker 4:

Let me give this guy a chance okay, okay, okay, okay.

Speaker 3:

He's like I like his story let me, yeah, let me help my playing brother out let me see if I can help him seal this win up here.

Speaker 1:

But I would love to have been. You know, a fly on Victor's brain when he walked up there and saw where that ball was and I'm sure he had to go. How the hell does that end up there? You know, because they're competitors. He doesn't want to give him any kind of advantage at all nobody ever wants to do that, I mean all jj needed was a two putt.

Speaker 5:

Correct, and yeah, I mean.

Speaker 1:

But it would have been. It would have been fun to watch that putt without the help, to see how well he did if he got it within range. And you know I mean a knee knocker, a little five, six footer to win the us open. That's some pressure you know. But then we went to a playoff on monday morning oh there was no playoffs that night no, it would have been interesting, it would have been interesting alternate reality not saying I didn't enjoy how it ended up.

Speaker 5:

I did it was amazing, amazing finish yeah but my whole thing about jj spawn like when he lost at the mat or players, like the way he took that hit was so graceful and like I became a fan of jj spawn after he lost at the players, I was rooting for him all week. Also, he's the only person on tour that we know of that can uh skateboarded and can land backside flips, which I used to skate, so I appreciate that. Uh, I thought that was really cool and uh, yeah, I mean he and he led for three days, right, or two days. He wasn't leading on Saturday, but I love it.

Speaker 4:

He opened up with that 66 and just kind of just hung in there.

Speaker 5:

Good question, sorry, go ahead, great question.

Speaker 1:

Bigger shot the putt on 18 or the drive on 17? Drive on 17.

Speaker 4:

The drive on 17.

Speaker 1:

100% 17.

Speaker 5:

Drive on 17 means to drive on 17. 100%.

Speaker 1:

Bigger than winning the Open.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, because he didn't need to make that putt. He did not need to make that putt.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, he needed to birdie 17 to get to where he was at. Yeah, exactly that freed him up to two putt on 18. It's just the cherry on top that I went in on one.

Speaker 5:

You build your foundation and then you can build up from there.

Speaker 1:

I know, but if you're JJ's- on and you're thinking about the moment. Is your moment for that tournament?

Speaker 5:

The moment's the whole Pac-9.

Speaker 3:

Or is it the putt on 18?

Speaker 1:

That wasn't the question.

Speaker 5:

The moment whole pack nine, or is it in?

Speaker 4:

his head the whole. That wasn't the question. The moment was 17, 17, because he knew he had to make a move there.

Speaker 1:

That was the whole that, yeah, but that's the whole that he know he needed to birdie though he didn't have to make the putt the, the whole entire gallery, didn't lose their shit when he hit the drive on 17.

Speaker 5:

Screw the gallery, bro. Screw the gallery, Are you crazy? He set himself up to where he had a lead and he afforded himself the opportunity to putt. And he made the putt, which is the moment that everybody's going to remember. But since he birdied that, which he had a chance to eagle because he drove the green, he afforded himself that moment to start him all right. He could have two-putted that he still would have won here's.

Speaker 4:

Here's the thing I think. Here's my thinking. If he doesn't hit that drive on 17, he's fucked. He has a tough time even making par, and 18 doesn't even fucking matter. Exactly.

Speaker 1:

I don't know, victor got up and down from some nasty shit the day before on 17.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, you were tripping. I'm not saying you can't, I'm not taking away the guarantee. You can't guarantee an up and down in that rough. You know you really can't. If he would have hit it in the rough he probably would have made par at best.

Speaker 5:

He would have choked up I mean, he's like understanding the moment in the rough right Like he probably could have left it too.

Speaker 4:

Right. He would have made par at best, could have made bogey, could have made double and then put himself completely out of the tournament. Like I said, 18 didn't matter, but because he hit that drive, all he had to do was just send it down the hill for a tap in birdie, put him up by one and then 18 played out like it did.

Speaker 4:

If he would have made the 64 footer for birdie on 18 after bogey on 17, it still wouldn't have mattered, you know. So I think I think 17 was huge. Um, I think that was the, the clincher that got him the tournament and, like I said, the putt on 18 was just, you know, just the cherry on top, uh, yeah yeah, I was driving to my dad's house okay, and I saw him hit that, that shot on 17 and I was like he won it.

Speaker 5:

That was the moment yeah that locked it up for sure I, uh, the guys that, uh, please let us play.

Speaker 1:

We're talking about how Morikawa at Harding park Um, you know, a lot of big hitters didn't hit driver on that hole because it was too much of a club and they were too erratic, but it was the perfect distance for him. Jj, very accurate off the team, not a huge hitter, but he dug down for that one. He hit that well, had a little red ass in it and damn good execution. It was a hell of a shot. Both shots were absolutely incredible.

Speaker 4:

Yes, absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker 5:

I agree with Colby right here, so much I loved that moment, that video that we saw, when, when jj made that putt and and he's clapping mcintyre was just like yeah, I loved that.

Speaker 1:

That was so well hatton just sitting there going, wow, wow yeah yeah that was amazing incredible.

Speaker 4:

What a putt to win I still.

Speaker 1:

I still would have. I love that dude paid some pay-per-view dollars to follow his mic up the whole entire time. Absolutely, yeah he. Oh that lie. He got that downhill bunker. Lie in that wet, thick oh part. You just knew nothing good was going to come out of that. Nothing good was going to come out of that. Nothing good was going to come out of that.

Speaker 5:

I mean, what were you guys's thoughts like overall on this us open?

Speaker 1:

it's oak. I loved it, I loved it, I I loved it.

Speaker 5:

I have zero complaints about any of it oh, so the the thing, the thing, so it's, it's so funny, right? Because, like, uh, like me, I, katie, came home, or on on Sunday, father's day, us open final round. She's like, wow, nobody, no, nobody's under par, nobody. And I'm like it's, it's so, it's relative, okay, they're all playing the same golf course, and that's what people don't really understand. Get rid of the number.

Speaker 5:

They're all playing the same golf course. You look back like you know, think about uh, us open tiger minus 12, everybody else over par, everybody's playing the same golf course. It's the same test for all of them. So, under par, over par, it doesn't matter if you win, that's what matters. And uh, everybody had to play the same rough. And on the final day, like with the stoppages and everything and jj being there, like that's tough mid-round shirt switch rejuvenation they probably got the short end of the stick right like adam scott, sam burns, you know, because they they got out of their groove. But everybody, everybody plays the same golf course. So I I disagree with anybody saying it's too hard or this or that.

Speaker 1:

Everybody plays the same course yeah and if it's a hard course, it's going to be hard. Exactly it's going to be hard. It's going to be challenging and you have to hit fairways and you have to hit greens. Battle through, Battle through. You have to know how to hit the ball out of five-inch wet rough. There's some. I mean. Scototty scheffler, arguably the best ball striker on the planet right now, played some of the worst golf of his life and was t7 everybody's pick.

Speaker 5:

Bryson missed the cut.

Speaker 1:

I mean well, we had our our picks. Uh, I had scotty scheffler. I was the only one, I was the only one who made the cut, had our picks. I had Scotty. Shepard I was the only one. I was the only one who made the cut for our picks.

Speaker 5:

He shot 73-71, 70-70. Chalk, chalk.

Speaker 1:

Yep, hey, you know what Chalk wins sometimes. Hey, you know what he's the best full striker on the planet playing a really hard golf course.

Speaker 5:

Anybody that's in the Matt Beebe golf pool for the majors. I got last. I got my money back. All right, I got my money back. Matt bb, send me my money back today. I got last.

Speaker 1:

I was so surprised wow, that's proud of, but okay it was, it was hard, hard to call. Joe had Aberg who shot 72-76. He was 8 over. Dan had Cantley he was 76-72. 8 over. Jeremy had Bryson who shot 73-77. He was 10 over.

Speaker 4:

Terrible picks. Terrible picks the.

Speaker 1:

OWGR did not show up the top 10. They did not. Oh, the top 10 and the oh my god, they all got smoked McIntyre Burns, adam Scott, jj, like in the top.

Speaker 1:

You know it wasn't a star studded event at the end of the day, but it was Mike said here in hindsight I'm not surprised, but it seemed like the course got harder after the rain delay, including the greens that with it being softer, they scored well. But it was, mike said here in hindsight I'm not surprised, but it seemed like the course got harder after the rain delay, including the greens that with it being softer, they scored well, but it was the opposite. Yeah, what? What was your thoughts on burns not getting the casual water relief?

Speaker 4:

oh, I think he got fucked there I think a little bit.

Speaker 1:

I think he got fucked there, for sure. And that shows you how much pressure those guys are on when you're playing well and you're leading a tournament on Sunday, and he did not mentally recover from not getting relief and you could see it.

Speaker 3:

You could see it in the way he walked.

Speaker 1:

You could see it in his face. You could see his reactions. It just mentally kicked him in the nuts.

Speaker 4:

He went way left on that shot too, didn't he?

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, After he hit the shot.

Speaker 4:

he went way left After he hit it out of the pool.

Speaker 1:

It looked like my backyard on that video I posted with me putting it in the rain.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, that was wild that he didn't get that relief.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, that was pretty crazy to me, honestly, mean that was wild and he didn't get that relief. Yeah, that was pretty crazy to me honestly. That's pretty wild. There was so much water up there.

Speaker 4:

Oh, it was I'm.

Speaker 1:

I mean the course dried out kind of quick, considering how much water came down and how fast it came down but I mean that's you gotta go. No, okay, this, this is ridiculous, ridiculous. His practice swing looked like he hit it out of a kiddie pool.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, I mean it's splashed. Welcome to Splash at the Riviera. Thanks for buying tickets.

Speaker 2:

Throwback.

Speaker 1:

You said Splash at the Riviera.

Speaker 5:

It was at Riviera.

Speaker 1:

Okay, wait a second. Yeah, Splash, so you're going way back with the river this, this is bringing me back to your di hat last week, right?

Speaker 5:

so shout out thrifty golf. On what?

Speaker 1:

you. You don't wear a polo for from a course you haven't played right, yeah, but you'll wear a hat from a course you haven't played, right, but you'll wear a hat from a course you haven't played.

Speaker 5:

I've played. Well, that doesn't exist anymore. You have?

Speaker 1:

never played the Wynn.

Speaker 5:

I've played Wynn.

Speaker 1:

I mean, you've never played the DI A completely different golf course. It's not even remotely.

Speaker 5:

I know, but the DI bridge is still on the course. It doesn't matter he played the Desert and Burial Grounds golf course it also does not say Desert Inn Golf Club or Country Club or Desert Inn Hat Just a retro hotel hat. Yeah, I've been in the DI Get out of here, bro, don't test me.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I can test you because you're a lot younger than me and that wasn't open for very long of your life. What?

Speaker 5:

up Juju.

Speaker 4:

Maybe it's a hat named after the street, maybe it has nothing to do with the hotel or the golf course.

Speaker 2:

It'd just be a street hat.

Speaker 5:

I'll put that on right now. Let's go Right there. Hat change Mid-round.

Speaker 1:

Hey guys.

Speaker 5:

Go tell Chiruzu, all right.

Speaker 1:

All right, I'm going to do this. We've been holding onto this. All right. This is the ice cream sandwich from last year's Masters that Atomic Golf did Yep, nobody ever claimed it.

Speaker 5:

Oh, wow.

Speaker 1:

So if you know how much Joe paid for his lid, oh geez, leave it in the chat and I'll get in touch with you and I'll send this to you. You can't, yeah. So if somebody knows, this is I don't want to get rid of this, but I'm willing to part with you.

Speaker 5:

Just send me a sob story on whatnot I'll tell you, okay, so let's see, I'll tell you Okay.

Speaker 1:

So let's see, we had our picks the bizarre, the carnage, JJ's fun, JJ congratulations. That was amazing. He's made a lot of money. Jeremy said he's leaving the airport right now, so he'll be here shortly. Is Mr Tafasian right?

Speaker 5:

He is right.

Speaker 1:

Congratulations, sir. I will bring this Sunday and you'll have it $115.

Speaker 5:

I feel, bad about it, but hey.

Speaker 4:

Nice hit, Nice hit Dan Nice hit yeah.

Speaker 1:

Thanks for being a listener.

Speaker 5:

Dan was lurking in the shadows on Thrifty Golf's show that day. I don't think I told you.

Speaker 1:

What's that?

Speaker 5:

I don't think I told Dan how much I paid for it. That's what I'm saying. He was lurking in the whatnot shows that day. That's funny. What up Easton?

Speaker 1:

Came for the IG giveaway. We're about to do it. It is, what time? Is it right now? What time? We got 858. All right, so I'll go ahead and take this banner down.

Speaker 5:

By that, I will bring up to the stage this we're going to make sure you're following the Chasing Daylight podcast and Beautiful Golf Courses before you are awarded.

Speaker 1:

Yes, so we're going to draw like five names, just because shit goes awry sometimes. And you know people don't like to be honest, and you know.

Speaker 1:

And they're not following the rules. So you can see, let me bring this up on here so I can mess with it. Uh, here's all the names. There's 396 entries. This is all in alphabetical order. There's quite a few on there, everything is spinning on there and so the way we do this, the way we've done it in the past, and it has worked, um, just so everybody knows that this is on the up and up and we're not, you know, picking, picking names. Uh, for us, uh, I need somebody on there to please give me a number between one and five and that will tell us how many times we will shuffle this list. So, first person to throw a number in there between one and five, and, uh, I will do do, do, do do do, do, nobody want guys throw a number out there a number up there, but okay, four, there we go

Speaker 1:

thank you very much all right, so we'll shuffle it ready here.

Speaker 4:

Go one time, two times, three times, four times, all right it has a lady it has been shuffled let's spin this wheel and see what happens good luck everybody, good luck who we got, who we got who we got.

Speaker 5:

Who we got this is who is it going?

I'm sure there's things out there too. I just don't trust. I don't trust stuff.

Speaker 1:

So I went ahead and did that to make sure that everybody fairly got in there. So again, thank you so much everybody. Hopefully you found a new show, a new program. Speaker 1:

Joe, I need a box. I got you all my box. I got you, I got you last banger divot tool.

Speaker 5:

Eagle buff made for me a hit up. Eagle buff shot out Eagle buff out of Southern California.

Speaker 4:

It makes great tools yeah, dude, I got a couple pieces from him tonight. He killed all that. I saw that.

Speaker 1:

Dan has turned into a whatnot. He's a whatnot guy. Now I'm so what?

Speaker 4:

Speaker 1:

Uh, I've only played golf twice and I found my new thing love, yeah, bro welcome to the game. Welcome to the game welcome to golf man it is we've been around in a long time it's.

Speaker 5:

Uh, you know you hit that one shot and you are a part of get ready, get ready to go broke on golf it's totally better get a second job just for golf.

Speaker 1:

Oh, let's see, hang on a second. There was a comment back somebody. I gotta go back and find this real quick, right here it is uh. What are your guys brand choice?

Speaker 5:

oh no, oh no, a bunch. I know there's a lot of new people here this evening. Well, if you guys didn't know, this guy, matt, works for what up? Ag? Oh, greenlee. No, that's not AG, that's Greenlee that's what I said.

Speaker 1:

AG is Alessandro this is.

Speaker 4:

AA, that's AA AA.

Speaker 1:

AA. Is that Mr Greenlee? I go by his. That's A-A-A-A-A-Rick, a-a-a-a-a-rick. Is that Mr Greenlee? Here we go.

Speaker 5:

Okay, I got this earlier on whatnot and he came here. I said listen to the podcast and we will talk about it. And he's here. Gage Saylor, as an 11 handicap, is it worth breaking the bank for a tailor-made ZT counterbalance? Thank you for coming, gage. I know I messaged you and said come to the show and we have to talk about this one. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

I want to hear what you have to say, Joe.

Speaker 5:

I mean, if you go back in the catalog we will say what play, what works for you? Okay, if it works for you, play it. We are not, uh, promoting anything that we are just going to say, buy this. We would say, if it works for you, play it. Okay, I play blade putters. I shouldn't most likely, but that's what I like. Looking down at when I putt, I think you roll your putter pretty well. I roll my putter well, but I could probably benefit from a mallet a little bit. But I don't like putting and looking down at a big piece of metal behind it. Putting and looking down at a big piece of metal behind it. Or and if you've listened to the show, I don't like mallet putter covers in my bag because it looks ugly to me. But if that works for you, play that shit all day. If you like it and it works for you, you play it all day and I, I, these guys will see the same thing.

Speaker 4:

Let's see, hang on, I totally agree if you like, if you if you like looking down at it and it gives you confidence and you're seeing results.

Speaker 1:

Stick with it roll it, but you do. You do not need to break the bank on something new. Never break the bank.

Speaker 5:

You do not need to break the bank on something new. Never break the bank. You do not need to break the bank. I'm sorry, I missed that part.

Speaker 1:

Four hundred dollars, that's for us. That's four rounds of golf out here in vegas right now. Uh, so I mean, it depends on you know what you value that four hundred dollars. I mean, if're if you're averaging 45 putts around, is a $400 putter going to get you to 30 putts? Probably not. No, if you're averaging 28 to 30 putts around and you think you can improve your putting, maybe it will work.

Speaker 1:

It might, but I mean there's so many putter options out there. There's so many value putter options out there right now. The use bin is an amazing place to go, but find something that works for you. Find something you're comfortable with, something that you enjoy looking down at yeah, exactly, we're going to get overwhelmed here.

Speaker 5:

uh, someone said I slice more than a pizza slicer. Help your brother out. Eric Greenlee says Tim Flote.

Speaker 1:

Tim Flote on Instagram. Coach Tim. It's who I'm working with. He's helped me tremendously. He's an online coach. I do recommend coaching. If you're slicing the ball, speak out professional advice.

Speaker 5:

Yep Also, most importantly, work at it. Find advice wherever you find. Importantly, work at it. Find advice wherever you find it and work at it.

Speaker 1:

I do not recommend watching countless YouTube videos, because I understand that I'm saying I don't recommend it. I don't recommend it. I would much rather somebody go find a professional that is willing to work with you and teach you based on your swing, not. What a YouTube channel does?

Speaker 5:

I also worked at it and I am a how would you say? How do you say I dive in deep and I take all everything in, in, and then I find the way that works for me I would like to know how you guys good woodcutters are working.

Speaker 1:

I'm jealous because I want one uh we know a guy I am on fire with mine, so so I am very happy with it.

Speaker 5:

I love mine too.

Speaker 4:

I just got to figure out the way a little bit Just get, one Greenlee Just get one Just, get one Greenlee Just get one, you will love it.

Speaker 1:

Why aren't you rolling a paradox right now? That's what I want to know.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's what I want to know the company man.

Speaker 1:

Joe, I did that, matt, I understand that I wouldn't recommend it no, I think it's not for everybody, right?

Speaker 5:

I'm like a data guy and when I go deep into something, I go deep and I like to figure things out for myself. So it's, you know, it's not for everybody, that's for sure if cali will break, drop and left.

Speaker 1:

I would stay loyal to callaway dude. Lefties get no love. Julian is a lefty, that's true, he. This is how much lefties don't get love. With special putter releases julian is putting right-handed right now.

Speaker 5:

Yeah. Because, If you don't know, julian, he's the homie. That also fits with Matt. He fits with.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean Julian and I are Oops, wrong, one, sorry, got to clip that. And Greenlee says Blair says he doesn't need it. Okay, all right, maybe you're a damn good putter, I don't know, yeah, um, all right, let's see where are we at. Did the drive away? Oh, let's do this real quick and then we'll get into the new segment. Uh, we have a golf tournament this weekend and anytime we have a special event our friend meteorologist Matt Gontaric from Fox 5 in the morning. If you're not watching Fox 5 in the morning, what are you even doing?

Speaker 5:

KBVU let's go.

Speaker 1:

He is the guy that lets us know what to expect for the forecast. Hey everybody.

Speaker 3:

It's Fox 5 meteorologist Matt Gontaric with the Chasing Daylight Podcast, the guy that lets us know what to expect for the forecast. Hey everybody, it's Fox 5 meteorologist Matt Contarga with the Chasing Daylight Podcast. Big one at TPC Las Vegas this weekend. On Sunday Shotguns start at 8 am. We're looking really good for the forecast. We'll start off in those mid-70s around 6 am. So if you're getting there early, definitely noticing some cooler conditions, but daytime highs only at 95 degrees. On Sunday we should have some wind gusts upwards of 20 miles per hour on the max for the afternoon. But overall a beautiful forecast with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-90s. That's well below average for this time of year. So enjoy it and have a great round.

Speaker 5:

Good luck we're not talking many drivers. We did that like two episodes ago. We might, we might. I want one honestly.

Speaker 1:

I don't need it but I want one. I think everybody will be able to see this on the screen, do you guys like?

Speaker 3:

that.

Speaker 1:

BGC logo or that BGC logo.

Speaker 5:

No, the other one, that one, that's how they're known, that's BGC, that's BGC Golf, that's Beautiful Golf Courses. But look at that epic, that's AI.

Speaker 1:

I know it's so amazing I can't read the bottom. Beautiful Golf Courses no.

Speaker 5:

Don't do it.

Speaker 1:

Mike oh no, he's not going to do it. I was just messing with it earlier.

Speaker 5:

I'm like.

Speaker 3:

I say to their AI everybody don't trust AI.

Speaker 5:

This guy is. This guy is a nutso for.

Speaker 1:

AI currently dude, dude dude, yeah, so, yeah, all right. So I want to let everybody know our update. We said we're going to be continuing to give stuff away once we hit some milestones. Then Mike at beautiful golf courses that hell, no, we're doing it now. So he had really kicked the, you know, kicked a fire in or put a fire in our pants, and got us some new followers, a lot of you watching tonight. We thank you for that, but we are up to what is it now? 517 on YouTube. Thank you very much. That's plus 37 this last week thank you so much and we are up to uh 21 81 on instagram.

Speaker 1:

So we are getting closer to that 5 000 number, uh, plus 450 followers because of this little uh giveaway and uh, what we've been doing. So thank you so much. I'm gonna start trying to post a little bit more activity of us on the golf course People seem to enjoy those and I'm going to start spending a little bit more time making a little bit more clips for everybody that can't sit here and watch the whole show. So we'll have some of those hopefully coming to Instagram as well. But if there's things that you want to see out there, let us know.

Speaker 1:

We do play a lot of our golf in Vegas. Dan and Trey just went on a trip to Michigan, joe was in Scottsdale, jeremy was in New York. I'm getting ready to head to Hawaii here soon, so you know we're going to Nebraska. We're going to Nebraska. Later this year got a trip to pace in Arizona to play some courses. So you know, there's definitely some golf content that we'll be having out there for everybody and gear talk.

Speaker 1:

We love gear talk. All right, so I want to give some love to four golf courses right now. Our rankings I'm still bitter about all the heat we took for for our rankings because I stand by them, especially after playing these places recently. Um, but piute is in impeccable shape. It dan right. How, how was it?

Speaker 4:

yesterday. It's so great always. It's always in impeccable shape it.

Speaker 5:

It was absolutely fantastic yesterday Also guys, for those guys that are new here, when you come to Vegas, you hit one of us up. We will tell you the best place to play. Don't book a tee time blindly. Hit one of us up. We will tell you where you should go, based on budget or whatever it is.

Speaker 1:

Just letting you guys know that go ahead sorry, and I don't think anybody that we have ever recommended go play here and they actually did has come back and said fuck you guys, because we wouldn't do that to you. But we played piute yesterday morning. We were one of the early groups out. It was absolutely gorgeous out there. The course was in phenomenal shape. They've added some sand to the bunkers because the bunkers were flawless. I mean, probably the best bunkers I've played in in a long time.

Speaker 4:

Oh yeah, there you go Tomorrow and reflection on Thursday. So Paiute is in fantastic and we said we finished in three and a half hours.

Speaker 1:

Paiute is in fantastic and we said we finished in three and a half hours. And I said there's no way going to Wolf Creek and spending six hours at that place is better than what we just did. There's no way. I'm sorry, there's no way. I don't care how visually stunning the place is. We played some amazing golf yesterday on an amazing golf course in phenomenal conditions, and I just can't tout it enough. But then Boulder Creek the day before Hesher.

Speaker 5:

Hack. Hesher Hack's out.

Speaker 4:

He's here.

Speaker 5:

I'm trying to bell him. He's here. He's here. I messaged him, yes.

Speaker 1:

This is what's new. This is what's new. It's coming to balance. He's here. He's here. I messaged him. Yes, this is what's new. This is what's new. It's coming to you A new driver. Guys, go follow.

Speaker 5:

HesherHack on Instagram.

Speaker 1:

He's the man, a new driver. Your name was selected, sir. Congrats, congrats, congrats, congrats, awesome. Hey, what driver are you playing right now?

Speaker 5:

it's not the bad driver gotta work at three hours here he's the what a true guy he's gotta wake up in the morning to get those greens right for you, man well, you want I love it go to bed tomorrow.

Speaker 1:

Send me a message. We'll get your address and we'll get that sent out to you don't worry about get those greens right bro he knows, yes company man. All right, um, but uh, okay, boulder creek the day before. Holy crap. I just posted a video earlier today of jeremy hitting his approach shot on one that joe even comment. Video earlier today of Jeremy hitting his approach shot on one that Joey even comment unbelievable, how amazing that course is carpets out there right now carpet.

Speaker 5:

We were driving me and Dan were driving down the fairway and I was like, look at this fairway right now. This is incredible.

Speaker 1:

I stood up there and I looked back and I went, oh shit, I need to get this on video. It is oh. And then even the Eldorado course, which is kind of the, the red-headed stepchild of the three nines out there. It was in outstanding shape, awesome shape. That picture I shared of the nine fairway on El Dorado, oh my God. So that's another gem that doesn't get a lot of talking about. That. We want to say that's another gem that doesn't get a lot of talking about. That. We want to say and Rhodes Ranch played.

Speaker 1:

Rhodes Ranch, jeremy and I did, and with Woody and Steven Jackson, I mean I'm seriously going to have to reevaluate that course because it has to be the greenest golf course in town, has to be. I mean, there is not. I didn't see a brown spot that I can remember. It is lush. The greens were great, the sand was good. They're doing some good things out there. I hate what, how they chopped it up and that's one of the reasons it's, you know, kind of down in my book, but they're making some enhancements to the range and it is, it is very good out there. That's another one.

Speaker 5:

So I'm curious, right, we got a lot of new viewers here, right? So what is your like situation or moment where you won't go play another golf course, like I mean, we're talking about the good golf courses, right. So I'm just curious, like there's a lot of new golfers that that are tuning in and they have local munis that they go play and, uh, you know, there's course ratings, there's slopes, like they probably don't know about that, right? I'm just curious. What is my question is is like should you keep playing the golf course that's cheap or should you venture out and experience new golf? Because I'm a firm believer that when you experience new golf, you become a better player.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, a handicap that travels, I think, is more valuable than 40 rounds of the same course Totally. You know, when we had Patrick Koenig on, the guy that did the RV all across country, I mean he played how many golf courses, I don't remember it was 300. How many golf courses? I don't remember it's 300 something. Golf courses in a year. Yeah, and his handicap was a two. That that's a two.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's a two full, two full on two, because you're playing all these different courses all across the country. Um, yeah, so I, when you're ready, when you're ready to venture out, when you want to go try something new. But yeah, gage is right, price is a huge deterrent, totally I mean, there's I I would. I would play rio seiko once a week, if you know, it. It wasn't so damn expensive. I play piute all the time, but it wasn't so damn far yeah, that's the thing, man.

Speaker 5:

Price is such a deterrent yeah, see, uh adrian commented.

Speaker 1:

I've made a point to play a different course every week and I 100 feel that I'm getting better, without a doubt. Yeah, it brings in a variety of things. You and that's something that you can take with you to the practice range don't do the same thing on the range over and over and over again. Don't rake balls and hit your seven iron 47 times. You know, try to. You know hit your seven iron 100 yards. Hit your, you know, driver. Try to hit draws. Try to hit draws let's go 90s nice.

Speaker 5:

That's a big improvement, good job also, everybody needs to understand everyone else that plays golf started at the same point. Okay, you grind and you work towards the lower scores okay, everybody started at the same spot. Now, maybe some people are more athletic than you or they digest information better than you, but that's amazing, adrian, I love it. Love to see it.

Speaker 1:

Gage says in South Dakota $800 is usually the norm for memberships. Not terrible, we're spoiled here.

Speaker 5:

That'll get you around a golf and win. Yeah, playing Shadow Creek next Thursday for $623.

Speaker 1:

Oh geez, that's yeah, but how long is your? Season, because yeah, that's true how far south and south dakota are you, which hasher say, coming back to your local after playing somewhere new and tough will do wonders to your game.

Speaker 5:

Yeah I bet yeah, yeah, exactly, you played cog hill man.

Speaker 1:

Cog hill looks dude, I figured the West Brother would get excited about a little SODAC shout-out.

Speaker 5:

There we go, bro. Check out what's the dispensary name.

Speaker 1:

Oh, look, at this Is this a burner account.

Speaker 5:

Yes, that was the first text message I sent Matt Stevie. That's the first text.

Speaker 1:

I think that's a burner account, sam, is that you?

Speaker 5:

Go listen to the Lab Golf Putters episode. Dice in the chat Later, Mike.

Speaker 4:

Later, Mike, Thank you bro.

Speaker 5:

Thank you brother.

Speaker 1:

Looking forward to you getting out here and playing some golf with us again. Oh too funny, said I'm Northern hobby. This year we're going to end in April. Walking cards by mid May, usually golf through October. Oh, that's not bad, that's not terrible In Vegas.

Speaker 5:

Play all year.

Speaker 1:

I heard cog Hill, that's my neck of the woods. Yeah, yeah, I heard. Cog Hill, that's my neck of the woods, yeah my daughter was just out of Watertown yeah, watertown, watertown, that's it.

Speaker 4:

Bob West and dispensary Watertown Gage. There you go, tell them the chasing daylight podcast sent you you get a little extra you get a little extra pre-roll okay, so we're gonna see how this goes.

Speaker 1:

All right, this, this may be the only time we do this, and uh he says, he lives right there there oh, that's my boy bobby go see bobby.

Speaker 5:

Go see bobby. There's Jeremy. Jeremy, you missed a lot bro.

Speaker 2:

I know, I know, welcome home.

Speaker 5:

Joy, yeah, she's home, I just kept getting delayed, so it's like yeah, the airport's been a nightmare.

Speaker 1:

My kid was flying home today from uh, texas, from dallas, and it was a shit show. So, uh, not not excited about the, uh, the traveling of late. That we'll see. All right, jeremy, so you're just in time for our newest segment, um, I hope you're prepared.

Speaker 1:

we talked about it a little bit earlier today. This is this off the cuff kind of and new. So Mike was letting us know that he really loves our banter and he said we need to do some things to spark some conversations. A lot of people have been doing this buy and sell. So we're going to do it, but we're going to do it with our version of it. We're not going to do buy and sell, we're calling it all in or fold.

Speaker 1:

Yeah and that needs some work. Clearly, it's not my best work, but we'll see. So this is things that we're hot on right now and things that we're definitely cold on. So we're all in, we're throwing all the chips in the pot, or, uh, we're throwing the cards down and folding. So let's see, who should we start with. Let's start with dan, dan, let's. Let's get your, your all in.

Speaker 4:

we'll go all in first and this does not have to be golf related well, it's golf related, for sure, but my easy all in right now is is golf trips. Easily all in on golf trips. If you guys, if you guys out there, haven't done a boys trip in a minute, you need to do it. The last few years I've been lucky enough to travel with these guys here in this group. We did, we did. What were we? Four days at band and dunes, four days, five days, yeah, and in dunes, five.

Speaker 4:

I mean I mean you guys got. You guys got to do a boy's trip. There's nothing that compares to it. I mean, I know wives and kids and jobs and all that shit get in the way, but you got to make a point at least once a year to do this for your own sanity. And there's just so there's so many great companies out there that can help you, uh, with packages, uh, you could do it on your own and book all the cart, which is what we usually do. Um, we usually try to find an airbnb and book around a golf, a bunch of golf courses around a certain area that we pick. But it, it's, it's, it's good for your soul, it's good for your heart, you need to de-stress and if you are a serious golfer and enjoy traveling. You need to do a boy's trip, you really do know a sick Airbnb near Macklemore so yeah, yeah, all right.

Speaker 5:

Uh, and that's part of the fun. It's part of the fun, the roadside airbnbs. Bro, you'll never forget an adventure I will never forget that caribbean b.

Speaker 1:

I was so scared, jesus christ but did you die? Oh no, I didn't die, I did not I just thought for sure someone in the burlap sack over their head was going to be pointing a shotgun in my face telling me to get out.

Speaker 5:

That's the thing, bro, you got to like for sure, when you were a kid you went out and ventured into the world and things like that, and then that was an adventure and it brings you back to being a kid Like 100%. No doubt about it. I thought I was going to die too. We didn't, but it's memorable. You know what I mean. Very memorable.

Speaker 1:

All right, Jeremy, what's your all-in?

Speaker 2:

I think I'm going to go all-in on getting fit Because I've never been a person that gets fit for clubs. I've always been a Titleist, just by default because of my dad, and so my whole golfing life I've just played what I want to play and whether it worked the best for me or not. But now that Matt fit me, matt Julian fit me, for that driver I'm a believer. There's maybe one club in the bag that I probably would never get fitted for and it's probably a putter, because I'm holding out on the putter thing. But for sure irons, woods, wedges, when it comes time we'll be getting fitted. For sure, because I've seen such a difference in the driver is such a drastic change in my game dude, it's ridiculous what you're doing.

Speaker 5:

It's absolutely insane, oh dude your driver's insane now.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean I was just telling Matt when we were at Paiute I never was able to attack those par fives. I just didn't hit it far enough off the tee, and having 280 to 300 into greens is just. But now it's like I hit irons into the greens because I'm able to just smash that driver. Keep it in the fairway. So yeah, fitting is my all-in driver keep it in the fairway.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, fitting, fitting is my all-in a healthy julian. And then jeremy right now is like leader in the clubhouse for off the tee because I mean dan's no slouch and, uh, you know trey can get it out there, but jeremy yesterday was bombing it. Yeah, bombing it. It's fun to see. It's been fun. All right, joe.

Speaker 5:

I've battled with this so much.

Speaker 1:

What am?

Speaker 5:

I doing. You went off camera. I didn't want to show my face, but I'm going to go for the layup at this moment. The layup. Because I didn't understand the concept before, but now I understand the concept, so I'm going to go all in 100% floppers all day, bro. All in on floppers 62, 58, 60, 79, 80 degrees aloft. It doesn't matter.

Speaker 4:

All the time jeremy had a nice one yesterday and I'm like you know, joe would be minimum 58 minimum 60.

Speaker 5:

Bro fuck, 58s did 60 minimum. I can't look at it. 58's not open enough.

Speaker 1:

It's not open enough. Well, you can open it, but there's not enough loft there.

Speaker 5:

The bounce is too much. 60 minimum Floppers. When they go low, we go high. I'll go all in on that. That's true, I'm not lying, it is true.

Speaker 1:

True, mine is going to mine's non-golf related. But something that I'm all in on right now is those Bigfoot and Yeti AI videos that are blowing up Instagram. I am absolutely loving those things. I have no idea why, but I cannot stop watching them. They are fucking hilarious you and ai bro. Oh, he loves it there's some bad the the one with with moses.

Speaker 5:

You know when, when he's they're pretty good with that I mean that was hilarious.

Speaker 1:

but the, the yeti and bigfoot ones, oh, the one where he found the thing of Coke, oh my God, it's absolutely hilarious. I can't stop watching them. Whoever did it, please continue it.

Speaker 5:

Keep making them. I'm going to be watching them. He is addicted they're hilarious.

Speaker 1:

All right, that was our all-ins. We got the.

Speaker 5:

What is this Golden Knights game? What's?

Speaker 1:

going on. Yeah, all right. So I'll start with this one. What I'm folding on? I'm sick of ads. I'm sick of ads. They're everywhere, everywhere. You can't get rid of them. They're the, the hockey boards and the in the stanley cup playoffs, it's. It's absolutely ridiculous. I understand it, I get it. You need the ad revenue. It's why hockey is more on tv now than it ever has been. But I'm sick of it.

Speaker 1:

This is what I was going to complain about the US Open. There was more commercials ran in the US Open. It's like Rolex finally stepped up and said we'll do ad-free for the last hour. Well, could you do ad-free for the last five and just give them more money or search for other people that are willing to do that for longer periods of time Watch while the ad's running? It's like, hey, I got a really nice big screen TV. Now I got this little small TV that I have to watch golf on. I'm sick of it. The subscription-based TV now, where you have ads or you don't. I said screw it with Hulu and Apple or whatever. Did the no commercials? Uh, then paramount comes. You know, jeremy recommends a show on paramount, so I get the pen and then it's nothing but ads. It's like jesus christ, I can't stand it, so that's I'm done. I I hate ads as done with ads.

Speaker 5:

Guys done with me.

Speaker 1:

I can't with that I mean, I still have to watch him.

Speaker 1:

But my god, he's done though can we find some other way for these people to get money? Because I'm, oh, it runs a good thing. And you know, mob mobland, is it what it's called? Right, jay mobland fantastic show. Tom hardy is one of my favorite actors, absolutely really good tv. And at the like the segment the show ends, it cuts away and there's an ad and I'm like what the fuck you know? So I'm like, oh, what's coming up? It runs the whole minute and a half ad and then it's credits and I'm like you mother made me watch a minute and a half.

Speaker 1:

Show me the credits. That is a dick move, yeah, so that that's what's got me fired up.

Speaker 5:

All right, uh, we'll go the other way, joe, something you're uh, uh for me on the whatnot show. I am done with people asking for lefties, den caddies in caddies. Uh, what else is there I can't remember uh any drivers, lab scotty drivers.

Speaker 5:

I got what I got. All right, guys, it's not easy to go out there and hunt for things. If you want to come hang out, I appreciate you being there and I will deliver the best stuff I can at that moment. But like I don't even have a den caddy, I don't understand where this like love of Dan den caddies came from. It's like I don't get it. Do you guys have den caddies? You sold your only one, I had, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5:

And that was just holding in the garage, I know I, just I don't understand where it came from, jeremy you don't have a Den Caddy, you have to have a tight one, I don't.

Speaker 2:

I don't have one, I have extra golf bags.

Speaker 1:

Surprising.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's just crazy man.

Speaker 1:

Dan, are you hoarding Den Caddies? Fuck no.

Speaker 5:

I just don't understand where it came from.

Speaker 4:

I mean den caddies are cool, right no?

Speaker 5:

they're not I don't. I mean if you have a spot for it, like if a designated spot.

Speaker 1:

If you have like a den and you are a caddy, maybe there's a spot in your den to place the den caddy. When, what? When clayton was working for wilson and uh, the breakfast ball was, you know, the wilson was the official golf ball of the blog and and we were doing a lot of stuff with them he, he sent me that den caddy and I was like, oh, this is sick.

Speaker 5:

And then it's like I, I never put it anywhere, it's in the garage just collecting dirt and the thing is, I don't knock lefties but lefties you're part of a conglomerate that is hard to find.

Speaker 1:

You have 50 people watching the show and there's two lefties in there that are going to bid on something I'm not even talking about whatnot Right and it's like how so?

Speaker 5:

Phil Mickelson is a lefty. How many lefty PM grinds from Callaway do you think they sold, compared to right-handed PM grinds in your company?

Speaker 1:

man, you should know, I mean I wasn't with them then, but uh way more right exactly and that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 5:

And that's what I'm saying. It's just, I feel for you, I I'm happy I'm not left-handed, because it's hard and I understand that, but uh, just wild man, but yeah all right, all right, jeremy you know, what's your, what's your?

Speaker 2:

I am pulling on keyboard warriors online. It could be any topic. It could be car related, it could be lab putters, it could be golf course rankings, dude. Just it's okay for people to have other opinions. There's no need to get personal to get crazy threats. Dude, everyone's an extremist. It's either extreme against or extreme, for there's no in between anymore, it's all yeah one or the other.

Speaker 5:

I will say I am an extreme like a motherfucker I am an extreme band and lover so I will defend that to my death.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, for sure I'll say that like the post that matt would the comments, matt would the comments matt would get overlap. It's like come on, let's let's put some thought into what this is about, instead of just spitting out just crap that just is completely inaccurate. It's like you know on, it's just everywhere topic real quick.

Speaker 1:

So the the post that I made with the calloway uh putter, that's that looks like the lab putter. I posted that in the in the video. I say, let's see who I can piss off with this video, you know, and then I make the putt with it and it was just because so many people lost their shit about the lab putter, you know, uh, me saying that it. Oh, let's see if I can piss these people off because this is not a lab putter, what are you doing? It looks like a gorilla AI.

Speaker 1:

It's a Yeti Yeti AI.

Speaker 5:

Oh, colt sent it to me.

Speaker 1:

Who oh Colt Callaway?

Speaker 5:

hat.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yes, yes, send it to me who, okay, halloween hat? Yeah, yes, yes, uh. But the comments are like well, if you want to spend six hundred dollars on an ugly putter, that's up to you, and it's like that. That is not even what this is about. So many people go right to the money. You know, first off, they're not that expensive but second off.

Speaker 1:

Who cares? Who cares? If somebody wants to spend a thousand dollars on a driver, who cares? If somebody wants to spend six hundred dollars on a putter, they like it. Who cares? Okay, sorry?

Speaker 5:

I mean they're not that I mean compared to the the environment. But I mean, yeah, let people have free options and choice. Well, don't shit on somebody.

Speaker 1:

Because they decide something, you can disagree with them. Hey, that putter's not going to fix your game, you know. Maybe take a lesson, you know not. You fucking suck at putting you jesus christ. All right, dan, what are you folding in on?

Speaker 4:

I'm folding in on rising green fees.

Speaker 4:

Yes, amen I mean, it is not even a big w anymore because I mean, it is like there's literally only about three or four courses I want to play now in town, like I've eliminated the rest of them. Yeah, you are. There is no way your courses worth that much. I don't care. I don't care what fucking greenskeeper you have, like it's Paiute, it's Boulder Creek, it's national right now, and I haven't been to Rhodes, you know whatever but I mean $100 plus to play some of these tracks and they fucking suck, they're brown as shit. Six hour fucking rounds it. I'm, I'm out.

Speaker 1:

I'm out on that yeah, I mean it was. It was uh nice to see that coyote spending some money on the bunkers, and then you told me it was just the range yeah well, that's yeah, I saw that video I was like it looks like the range well, that's what I asked the guy I go you guys getting?

Speaker 4:

uh, I saw a video you posted yesterday about getting new sand. He's like, yeah, they're just, it's in the range right now.

Speaker 5:

I go what's the fucking point?

Speaker 4:

yeah, I go. What the fuck is? Why range gonna benefit from new sand? Put it on the course, he said eventually they're going to do it and shit.

Speaker 1:

We don't.

Speaker 4:

I'm thinking probably when they close for.

Speaker 1:

No, that's why our tournament's there in September.

Speaker 4:

There you go. They're going to have to get that shit in before September, that'd be sick.

Speaker 1:

Hey, another Coy go, you're going to have to get that shit in before September, mm-hmm. Mm-hmm, that'd be sick. Yeah, oh hey, another Coyote thing related. Congrats to Joseph Bramlett. Went out there and got the new course record.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, that was sick. Love to see Joey B do it, and then did you see some of the shit people were talking about.

Speaker 1:

That it's like good.

Speaker 4:

God.

Speaker 1:

Jeremy good god, jeremy. Same thing. Keyboard warriors. Oh yeah, if I went out there and kept score by myself and played by myself, I'd shoot a course record too. It's like, seriously, you think that's the scorecard he was using when he yes like if I was brambling.

Speaker 5:

I'd want to be like yo.

Speaker 1:

You go out there, you do that let's go, I would love to see that happen Do you know how hard it is to shoot that score on that course.

Speaker 5:

It's so hard, yeah, good Lord.

Speaker 1:

It's the.

Speaker 5:

Oakmont of Vegas. Man, the Oakmont of Vegas, I love it.

Speaker 1:

I mean name a harder course in.

Speaker 4:

Vegas.

Speaker 1:

I don't think there is one. It's the hardest course ingas, maybe in vegas, but you know, maybe one of the boulder creek routings from the tippy tips, because I mean, we don't ever play you guys, don't even play the backy back tees I, I still don't think it's.

Speaker 4:

I still don't think it's harder.

Speaker 1:

Yeah no, I mean because the run out is so generous, there. So not only that too.

Speaker 4:

But but coyote like, if you miss a fairway, the desert sucks. The rough is like six inches long in certain areas now. So crazy, you know. So they are making it super tough yeah, but that's the thing. Coyote greens are just impossible to even drop putts so yeah, yeah, you won't get a straight putt out there at all no, never never, so much, it's an ass kicker, that's for sure, but I love it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, all right, so we'll have to we'll have to uh gage, we'll have to dig into this, uh, a boy's trip to vegas for, strictly golf run a dude, um, gotta know like how many people, how many rounds? You know what, uh what you're planning on doing there. I'll tell you this. So, uh, I was talking with cyrus last week. He's in china right now, by the way, but I was chatting with him last week and he has a friend that uh does an event.

Speaker 1:

They're bringing in a bunch of very wealthy gentlemen to come play in vegas and he was like, where would you suggest they want to get in 36 uh, one day. And um, you know they had bally high listed. I'm like don't go to bally high, no, uh. So I said 30, 36, go out to piute, 36, go out to piute all day long. Um, so I mean, there's there's different ways about doing it. It all depends on what uh. You know how long you're going to be here, for how much golf you want to play and how far you're willing to venture off of the strip.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, yeah, totally all right, thanks, uh, everybody for all the comments. Man, that's a lot of comments. I love that tonight. Thank you so much, sweet. I don't know what do you guys think? Should we stop doing the IG, because the interactions on YouTube when we just do YouTube is so much better?

Speaker 5:

It is true, I have to monitor when we're on IG. Yeah, I don't know. I mean I have to monitor when we're on IG, you know, and yeah.

Speaker 1:

I don't know. I don't know, maybe I'll just start posting some clips there.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, we'll chat about it. We'll talk Congregate, we'll Congregate.

Speaker 4:

We'll have a board of directors meeting.

Speaker 1:

We'll get legal involved. We'll get legal involved.

Speaker 2:

Um, okay, so next week I will not be here.

Speaker 1:

Uh, joe will have the keys. Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah, joe will have the keys to the house. Um, and uh, trey said he's wanted to come on, so I told him next week might be a good time for that, or we can wait to have trey back on and joe can uh have a whatnot show.

Speaker 5:

Oh man they didn't even know that yeah, so yeah, I'm who knows? Yeah we have to congregate on that one, we have to have another meeting about that one as well.

Speaker 1:

So, uh, but I do want to say thank you to everybody who's tuned in. We really do appreciate it. Uh, we're trying to do some fun things here on the show and get more people involved and get you guys, uh, some gear for participating. Congrats to hesher hack. Um, you know of all the people's names, not to, you know, downplay anybody else. That one brought a lot of joy to my heart Me too. Yeah, that was awesome. If you're not following Hedgerack, please go do so. He's up to 198 days in a row of trying to make more money.

Speaker 5:

He's coming in on 200.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and you can see his game is getting a lot better. His short game is really good and he's a company man. He does play a square-to-square jailbird, yeah, and now he's got a new driver coming, dan Tafajan, if you're still watching, I'll have this with me at the tournament. Come see me for that. We got fittings in Laughlin this week and Boulderoulder creek and then our tournament sunday. So if y'all want to get fit, sign up for the fitting at boulder creek on friday and, uh, come on out, hit some of the new stuff. Joe, take it away thank you guys.

Speaker 5:
