336: Nobody Cares About Your Golf Score Unless You Break 80
Finding joy in the small moments of golf might be the secret to both happiness and improvement. Our conversation this week explores how the game's greatest champions approach winning, why some players obsess over stats while others reject scorecards entirely, and what makes a community tournament special despite challenging conditions.
When Scottie Scheffler secured another major victory, his subdued celebration sparked a fascinating discussion about competitive mindset. Unlike Tiger's fierce intensity, Scheffler appears almost indifferent to winning—focused more on being a great husband, father and human than collecting trophies. Could this detachment from results actually be his superpower? The contrast between different approaches to competition mirrors our own diverse perspectives on score-keeping, with some hosts tracking every metric while others refuse to even carry a pencil.
We share laughs opening vintage 1991 PGA Tour card packs (complete with $0.10 coupons!), recap the VGN tournament at Chimera where players battled heat, humidity, and mysteriously slow greens, and preview our upcoming adventure to Payson, Arizona to experience two spectacular private courses.
The conversation turns philosophical when we consider what drives our passion for golf. Is it the pursuit of lower scores and technical perfection, or simply the gift of playing each hole, regardless of outcome? As one host reminds us, "Every hole you get to play is a gift" – a perspective worth remembering whether you're competing for millions or just enjoying a weekend round with friends.

what is up? Everybody Tell Jeremy I'm going to phone him so I may be unusually quiet this evening.
Speaker 3:Look out look out Joe's here, though, look out, look out, joking Kerry.
Speaker 1:Coming off a five-hour bender on whatnot. I think he's good. Almost six, almost six.
Speaker 2:Why are you in a funk? What's going on? I don't know.
Speaker 1:I don't know. You need to log out of the CDP and log in to Hidden Green, so people.
Speaker 2:We are all one, we are all one.
Speaker 4:I'm not going to say anything stupid.
Speaker 2:You don't trust me yeah, right here.
Speaker 1:Thank you, kevin, everyone watching. Hit that like button on the way in.
Speaker 2:Yeah, thanks kevin, we're slacking on reviews on uh, apple podcast, spotify, all that stuff. So I found out reviews are appreciated.
Speaker 1:I don't I don't go look on those very often, you know, because it's, it's really crappy the way apple does it as, uh, if you go through the apple software, you have to go, you have to change each country to see if there's any reviews or anything in each country. So you got to log into the canada site, you got to log into the azerbaijan site, you know it's instead of ajan instead of just listing where the reviews are coming from.
Speaker 1:So we have a couple from canada. The most of them are all from the united states, I mean.
Speaker 2:I personally, I don't really care about the reviews, because we're going to do this shit anyway, but like it helps us, you know that's the thing it helps us out of that yeah it's great feedback too, and especially now with the ai generated stuff where it it pops in and and tells you, you know, it gives you a summary.
Speaker 1:You don't have to read you know 50 reviews, you can just get a summary of what everybody's saying. And uh, it was funny, I asked. I asked ai the other day who's the? Oh, just in time, what's up? Dano? What up? Sorry about that. I asked ai the other day who's the best golfer on the chasing day? That podcast and that jeremy was that's misinformed, that's for sure oh, here we go.
Speaker 1:What's this? Uh, cascada is open for our date and they inquired about the cdp info about. We'd love to check in with them and see if there's any way we can get aligned with them let's go, yeah, go back to cabot cliffs.
Speaker 2:Yeah, no, you're starting off very wrong.
Speaker 3:Yeah, you're starting, I'm very one of the greatest golf courses you will ever play ah, that's awesome the official golf course of the cdp they're hoping to get all five of us out checking with management.
Speaker 1:All right, reese jones do it incredible reese jones course spectacular golf courses coming in with the heat. Maybe that'll get me out of my funk. Yeah, you look like.
Speaker 3:You look like you just got lifted up a little, a little perky.
Speaker 1:Now I I'm feeling a little bit better. Thanks, mike. Now I hope he doesn't april fools me in the morning with that, but uh, yeah, right yeah, oh, that was one of the greatest moments oh, oh, you use on cascada.
Speaker 2:Let's go.
Speaker 1:Those double use.
Speaker 2:Hey look, I'm going to, I'm going to do a live open, oh really, Of the followers giveaway.

Speaker 2:I need Micah's net Because that's probably not even around anymore.
Speaker 1:All right, let me, let's see, let's do it this. Oops, how do we do it?
Speaker 2:Oh, is he double camering, oh, oh oh.
Speaker 3:Oh, it didn't. I haven't figured this out yet. There we go, all right, so I have that entire set of that set and the senior PGA Tour at my parents' house.
Speaker 1:Are you serious?
Speaker 3:I have the entire set from 1991. My dad's friend gave me the box back in the day. I just need to dig them out of the boxes storage.
Speaker 2:I know there's a lot of guys chasing this one right here. Oh yeah, the John Daly rookie alright, first poll Larry Mize.

Speaker 2:You want to open one too, and Halderson With the bifocals.
Speaker 3:Look at that Nice.
Speaker 1:Safety goggles. We got here, ray Floyd.
Speaker 4:Man, you got a good pack, you got major winners there, bro, shout out Ray Floyd, ray Floyd. You got a good pack, you got major winners.
Speaker 2:there, bro, shout out Ray Floyd.
Speaker 1:Tom Byram.
Speaker 4:Crickets.
Speaker 1:And my senior player, Larry.
Speaker 3:With the cigar. With the cigar.
Speaker 1:Taylor Bate hat.
Speaker 2:Banger. And a 10% off the 10%.
Speaker 1:My set is growing. My set is growing. I'm getting there Getting those follow-up giveaways.
Speaker 2:Right, what would Kevin say? So many of the card companies are defunct and whoever bought them out will usually send some sort of care package back.
Speaker 3:if they actually receive stuff, oh, okay oh man, let's just onslaught them with money orders from 7-Eleven for $2.50 for a Gazette so the only cards you can get now, I think, are Liv, I've seen the live sets.
Speaker 1:Yeah, like ian polter's been opening them and yeah, but they're like there's.
Speaker 3:I was watching some guy and whatnot today. I know I'm not usually on there, but I was watching some dude opening a box, a case of yeah, yeah, cards I think his name's blanton or something yeah, yeah he doesn't?
Speaker 2:he doesn't get many views, but I've thought about it. But yeah, I think the older ones are way cooler than the new ones. Yeah, the new ones have holograms. I'm not a card guy.
Speaker 1:I just want this again. Just give me this.
Speaker 3:Yeah, that's cool, I don't need holograms.
Speaker 1:I don't need game-worn Adidas from. Yeah, make them two bucks.
Speaker 4:Some of those are fucking high dollar cards, man. Yeah, oh yeah. Yeah, you know you might want them when you realize your card is worth ten thousand dollars yeah, I mean oh yeah, but those sets that they have, those just saying.
Speaker 1:I'm just saying you gotta spend a hundred bucks to get six cards. I, I want the like that you definitely you definitely take the risk for. Yeah, 15 cards for a pack of gum, I mean it's basically a wheel spin on whatnot.
Speaker 4:Yeah, no shit, no shit.
Speaker 1:Supposedly some of those live rookies go for big money.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, can't do it. Let's get back to the normal screen here sorry.
Speaker 2:Yeah, just bring back the norm. Like dude, like I mean everybody that's like a golfer now, like probably mostly 30 to uh 50, if you will and uh, I, I was. Yeah, you know, just like regular cards, and if, if, if they're the checkout stand for two bucks, I am buying one, no doubt absolutely every time prime drink, prime drink.
Speaker 2:A pack of 2006 pga tour pro set cards please yeah, and some handicaps like hot fries or something you know call it a day all right, so um, over the weekend uh scotty scheffler won another major uh.
Speaker 1:We had our vgn tour out at chimera. Uh, big shout out to harry hall. Uh had a nice event, was doing really well second round and then kind of hit a buzzsaw of bogeys and uh really knocked him off. He did tie for the most birdies with uh scotty, so that that was gets rid of some of those bogeys.
Speaker 1:He's right there. Um, he's up to seven. He's up to 73 in the world, he's up to 20th on the rider cup or 24th on the euro team for the rider cup. Uh, our buddy, steven jackson, is in bandon right now.
Speaker 2:I saw that, I'm saw that I sent him a message.
Speaker 1:I'm like you, fucking piece of shit he went by, have fun, have fun he went by the lab facility today oh, he did waiting to hear if Emerald Valley was closed. They couldn't play the course. But he stopped by and my swing coach, tim flote uh, we're gonna have an interview with him. Him and I are gonna record, uh, this end of this week, so we'll have that out next week for everybody. So that's gonna be a fun conversation. Can't wait to talk. Some those people that love to nerd out on the game.
Speaker 1:that'll'll be a great one for you to hang out, and Roars and I haven't done anything in forever, so that needs to happen again too, now that it's slowing down.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:There it is at. People have been learning about Shell Bay recently. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got some new. I showed this earlier on IG. I got some new stamps in. Much love to the guys at Stamp Yours yours. We had them on the podcast and they're eager to get back on. They did not like how their performance was but uh, eli jamal is an awesome guy.
Speaker 1:I love talking golf with him. He is totally obsessed with the game right now, way much more than he was when we had them on, so looking forward to that. But this is just something that I did a little earlier a little hitting greens action. It's clean. Yeah, yeah, I got the.
Speaker 2:I got the I love the way the numbers look.
Speaker 1:I think the numbers are really small, it came out pretty good so that I'm still these are new stamps and I'm still learning. You can see that I'd like the end is a little bit too much in there, got a little box around it and then so I went back out and was messing chasing daylight podcast, did this? Still got to learn these new stamps. You can see a couple areas, but you know so that looks good.
Speaker 4:Probably be on the list soon.
Speaker 1:I like the deep letters. I like how it's deep.
Speaker 2:Me too, me too, me too.
Speaker 1:I have some that are really thin and it just doesn't look good. These, these go deep and wide. Yeah, you could do paint bill I'm gonna have. Uh, yeah, so how, how I do this? This is this is stained. I stained the copper and then brush the stain off with some steel wool and that will never come out, that that is in there forever so yeah, they look awesome in person yeah, I can't uh so somebody tag somebody.
Speaker 4:Tag eagle buff in the chat.
Speaker 2:I was gonna say that. So I literally just opened this up because, like, uh, eagle buff, I mean he stamps live on whatnot, which is cool, and I literally just opened this up and there's a note in here for me, but it's like a one of one eagle buff. When I was talking to him I was about the podcast he was like, damn, you had stamp yours on the show and it's like, yeah, they're probably coming back, but yeah, this is like hand handmade, stamped eagle buff with the ball marker. Note, there's only nine of these, so I got one. That's nice, it's these.
Speaker 1:So I got one. That's nice. It's pretty sick. I got a torch.
Speaker 2:Kevin.
Speaker 1:Really cool.
Speaker 2:Stamp yours, Stamp yours makes some good shit and I'm excited to see them back on the show.
Speaker 1:Yeah, he is so geeked to come back on and you know we don't have to talk about the stamps and stuff. We can talk about golf. He's totally obsessed. He's sending me swing videos and just all in on golf. So that's fun to see when you know, I mean he makes a lot of people happy with the products that they sell to people that stamp do stuff like this. Yeah, yeah, totally, we'll schedule that. And people happy with the products that they sell to people that stamp do stuff like this. So, yeah, yeah, totally, we'll schedule that and have that coming up soon. So, but we got our, we got. Uh, we had the VGN over the weekend. Uh, dan wasn't there. He was still a favorite, uh, even though he wasn't playing and uh, Juju, Juju, Juju had a great outing he did.
Speaker 1:Wow, he did, he played great, they were behind you, right, jeremy? Yeah, because you played with Dan, and who else did you play with?
Speaker 3:Sean and.
Speaker 1:Brandon, brandon, yeah, yeah, we were behind them, they were behind you.
Speaker 4:You played with Foster Jeremy.
Speaker 3:Yeah yep, nice. Yeah, it seems like everybody had a good time. They were behind you, you played with Foster Jeremy.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yep, nice, yeah, it seems like everybody had a good time. It was man, there was no wind and it was fucking hot.
Speaker 2:It was humid, it was foggy.
Speaker 1:God, it was just hot.
Speaker 1:Couldn't man Warm Very warm, sticky, a little sticky sticky ball wasn't going anywhere. Uh, you know, I I'm I'm so just disappointed in myself for me, and that's not why I'm bummed, I don't know. I don't know why I'm bummed. I was, I was over my you know erratic play. By the time I got to the restaurant I was like, uh, you know it happens, shit happens. But I started with four pars in a row and was in an ideal position to birdie the next hole and then just shots didn't start falling. It's like the 15 to 20-foot putts all over the hole, just in the hole down, all all over, just nailing them. Three foot putts, four foot putts, just at the slower speed. Those greens, just god, they just made that ball planko so bad.
Speaker 1:Yeah, like, yeah, they were super slow oh, it's like steven had like a 15 foot putt, like on the exact same line that I had, and he hits his and it curled in nicely. Then I hit mine and it broke six inches. I'm like how the fuck I'm four feet closer, how does that break six inches?
Speaker 4:Was the course in good shape, at least.
Speaker 2:It was decent.
Speaker 3:No, Mike, we do not want that.
Speaker 4:That means a no, that's a no, that's a nice one. It was chimera really, jeremy's nice way of saying not to not so much. No, it was it was decent.
Speaker 2:It was decent, it was slow, it was.
Speaker 1:You know, they were faster than when we played the week before, for sure, but yeah, okay, it was just they had a new water feature on five, which was yeah weird.
Speaker 4:I'll say was it accidental or was it on purpose?
Speaker 1:it. It probably shouldn't have been there, but I mean it was as long it was off the just off the t, so no, they got a fountain in there, bro, they they changed it up there water main and shit.
Speaker 4:No, they changed it up.
Speaker 1:They changed it up dude, it was a legit cesspool.
Speaker 3:Yes, Wow, it was Nickelodeon slime. Honestly, I think I made it.
Speaker 1:I don't think the course. Something happened. Clearly it was a mistake. It's not a cesspool. The course isn't a cesspool, that little body of water.
Speaker 2:You're going to get us kicked out of another course. I know.
Speaker 3:Don't forget, you're downstream from the wetlands and who knows what goes on in there.
Speaker 2:I I think I think it makes it a better hole. I think it does, because I think it makes you think a little bit more like are you gonna, you know? I think it makes you think a bit more if you know the water's there, it makes you think a bit now you're.
Speaker 1:You're thinking of the short par four.
Speaker 3:I'm talking about the par four after the par three which one with the water off the, just off the t, in front of the t yeah, you didn't see it, joe it was like a broken sprinkler yeah, oh no, after the par three like six five five, yeah, six
Speaker 1:whatever between the two par threes, oh yeah that was a broken sprinkler, yeah yeah, oh clearly, yeah, no, I I like the water on the short par four, that's I mean, yeah, I think it makes it a much better hole.
Speaker 3:It makes you think a bit more, for sure, 100 I thought their greens were like after two weeks of being punched.
Speaker 1:I think they're nice, yeah they were. They were just a little long, they were like they they looked way better than we, than they did the week before, for sure yeah, and it's july and it's hot and you know they're down in the swamp in the low valley it's it's, it's hot down there and it's hard to keep those greens nice, but I mean, I think everybody played on the same greens and that's that's the way it was.
Speaker 2:It is, that is what it is, so pretty soon we'll be playing only Revere for every tournament at this rate.
Speaker 1:Wolf Creek. We are struggling and they are struggling.
Speaker 3:Just stop it, matt. We need somewhere to play. Yeah, yeah, all right.
Speaker 1:Reflection Bay.
Speaker 2:Have you been?
Speaker 1:out there lately we're going to be playing at the golf stop soon.
Speaker 2:Shout out to golf stop.
Speaker 4:Shout out to Paiute.
Speaker 3:Yep.
Speaker 1:Paiute, yep Highland Falls looks pretty good. I was at a Paiute this morning.
Speaker 4:It was fucking beautiful. I played the snow course this morning.
Speaker 1:Oh, you did. It was windier than shit, yeah.
Speaker 4:So okay, I'll make this quick. There's a guy at work Really good dude His name's Fred Smith. He's not the greatest golfer, but he has high hopes and ambition. He decided that he wanted to play against me nine holes and wanted six shots. I play from the tips he plays up, so that happened today, and by hole three.
Speaker 1:I was up seven.
Speaker 4:I was already up seven, so yeah, so it was it was rough, but I actually played. I played pretty good too, though. I birdied, I bogeyed the first hole and then I went six under from there in and fucking shot five under on him. So Nice, he kind of ran into a buzzsaw. Today he told me after we were eating lunch he goes, Dan, I will never challenge you again. Hey, Robert.
Speaker 2:Dan is a player bro.
Speaker 4:After the shots were given no, I'm sorry, that came out wrong. I was already up. I cleared those six shots. I was already up. I cleared those six shots. I was up one, sorry after three holes. Sorry, he's the player.
Speaker 2:guys, he's the player.
Speaker 1:Dan's a stick AI doesn't know what it's talking about. No respect Jeremy.
Speaker 4:So yeah, that happened today. But yeah, like I was saying, it's beautiful Always so good. Yeah it's beautiful, always so good, yeah, so good. I wish, I wish we could have tournaments out there yeah, yeah they're pricing us out?
Speaker 2:huh, a little bit, yeah, yeah, it's getting expensive need a buyout to get out there again.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah, that's not happening anytime soon. Yeah, uh, okay, so that was the vgn tournament. Congrats to all the winners. We had juju. He won the diamonds flight. Uh, let's see who won the spades flight. Uh, I'm drawing a blank hang on a second.
Speaker 4:Oh so I started with a triple and I ended with a triple, and in between it was fucking sick yeah, I was every time people sweat in the fucking clubhouse every time I was peeking in on scoreboard I was seeing right there joe keith, birdie, birdie and then par, something like that well yeah, like six or seven birdies.
Speaker 2:No sandwich in there I like three or four maybe isn't that with the?
Speaker 4:is that with the dots?
Speaker 2:oh, probably with the dots probably okay.
Speaker 4:So that's why I thought I was like holy shit, joe made a lot of fucking birdies today no, I barely made it.
Speaker 2:I was like hung over from friday night show and, uh, I just like showed up and I was like what, what happens, happens and it's like that free for all you know, like not really like thinking about it and it just it just came out of me so, uh, juju won the diamond, justin cameron, who we'll just say justin cameron won the diamond.
Speaker 1:Justin Cameron, who We'll just say. Justin Cameron won the spades fight. Ray Heredia got his first win in the VGN Congrats to him. He won the hearts. And William Germain, who's been in the VGN a couple years three years now got his first win.
Speaker 1:So congrats to those guys. And next we head to Highland Falls and we already hey, there's already, I think, 12, 12 players in the diamonds flight, you guys. So yay, nice, yay, uh, yeah, it's gonna be firm, fast, dry, hot, all the above, but we'll be at elevation, you know, we'll be at 3 000 feet up in the hills of summerlin. So yeah, yeah why is joe getting pops? That was a great question. I overheard several people asking that exact same thing because I don't know what I shoot.
Speaker 2:I I never even know what I shoot like, I don't even keep score joe soulgoss himself's 90s on the gin app. No, no I I mean truly and honestly, if if I don't shoot under 80, I don't know what I shot that's your limit.
Speaker 2:Like once you get like more than like, my whole thing is like if I can't keep scoring my head, I'll lose track at like 81, 82. And I just I don't care and I'm just playing. I'm happy to be out there, but I haven't. I haven't broken 80 in probably a year, maybe one time, maybe twice, maybe twice. I just I don't keep twice. I don't keep score. I don't keep score anymore.
Speaker 4:All right, there we go, let's go. Oh, here we go, documented evidence here's Joe's gin Call Yip Strickler. Call Yip Strickler.
Speaker 2:Call Yip Strickler. I didn't even win, who cares the?
Speaker 4:documents have been released.
Speaker 1:I wasn't even the money. Joe still has rounds from June of last year on his gin.
Speaker 2:Yeah, Two kids man.
Speaker 1:No you've played more golf than this. Well, that's the thing, bro.
Speaker 2:I seriously do not even keep score, I really do not. I don't write scores down.
Speaker 4:I can attest to that.
Speaker 2:I really could care less what I shoot.
Speaker 4:I can't attest to this card.
Speaker 2:All my scores are from tournaments, because if I can remember in my head and then I'm at home and putting the kids to bed and if I remember what I shot, I'll put it in. I really could care less what I shoot and putting the kids to bed and if I remember what I shot, I'll put it in. But, like I, I really could care less what I shoot. Hey that's what scorecards are for joe yeah, I don't even, I don't, I don't even grab the pencil no.
Speaker 1:As soon as soon as joe broke par at chimera, his whole golf world changed 100 because he, he was 18 birdies tracking everything, putting his scores. In doing everything, he broke par and went. Y'all don't fucking.
Speaker 2:No, no, no no, I think I, I think the whole thing is is like I broke par one time, right, that was what four years ago now, three years ago now, and then everything became about doing it again and I didn't like that feeling. I didn't like, oh well, if I shoot a 76, it didn't fucking matter, because I broke par and now I should be able to break par every time, and I didn't like that feeling. That's, that's the whole reason. Also, I had, uh, my second kid, my daughter, and I don't get to play as much as I would like to, so I just try and enjoy it while I'm out there. You know, not everything is about score. It's about being with you guys on the course or enjoying the time I have, because we don't get to play golf all the fucking time and I would love to play every day, but we can't all the fucking time. And I would love to play every day, but we can't, you know. So I just I focus my energy on enjoying the moment out there and the time that I get to do it, because I would love to do it all the time and I can't, that's.
Speaker 2:I don't care what. I honestly do not care what I shoot, I care about hitting fucking dope shots through the trees, stingers to the fucking pin, you know I. I care about hitting fucking dope shots through the trees, stingers to the fucking pin. You know I care about holing out, or I mean, that's me but and I'm also, I'm also not. I'm also not a. I would say I'm pretty solid at a seven, eight. I shoot 80, 84, 86, like all the time. I shoot 80, 84, 86, like all the time and I can pull it out of my ass and shoot a 76, 78 occasionally, but most of the time I don't care because I'm not playing smart. Ever when they go low we go high. Call me the Am Scotty emo joint guy.
Speaker 2:Hey, sam, send me a message, just dm me and, and we can chat about nothing fulfills me more than a flop shot getting dunked, and I'm not gonna just chip runner it, I'm gonna fucking flop that shit and try and hold it out every time and doesn't work out every time I was just having a conversation yesterday about how spoiled I was.
Speaker 1:A high school golfer didn't understand the time, the course, the amount of golf played. It'll consume you. It'll consume you and that's why a lot of you see a lot of high school golfers that don't continue playing after they're done or after they're through college. They don't be the pros, they're just done because it's so consuming.
Speaker 2:This is funny. I don't care, unless I broke 80. I heard that man. Yeah, but that's the thing, bro. Like I, I am not writing my score down after every every hole. Okay, if I can keep score in my head, then I played well. If I can't keep score in my head, fuck it. Who cares?
Speaker 1:The new gin app.
Speaker 3:This message.
Speaker 1:No put it in. It's cool.
Speaker 2:Did every, every, every hole you get to play as a gift. Every hole, every fucking hole, every shot you get to hit is a gift. Okay, we don't know how long we're going to be here and I, I love golf truly and fully. So, like, fuck a score.
Speaker 3:I had some really shitty gifts on Saturday.
Speaker 1:Oh dude.
Speaker 3:Yeah, they're gifts. I did not like those gifts.
Speaker 1:I didn't enjoy the return of the return.
Speaker 2:Jeremy getting cold. Jeremy getting cold for Christmas out here.
Speaker 1:Did you see Jeremy's start, Dan? Did you see what he did on the front?
Speaker 4:No. Well wait a minute. Yeah, I saw the birdies, but what happened on the back?
Speaker 3:I shot three under on the front and then I hit it Like on 10, I lost my drive left, didn't find the ball Should have been in the rough, but it was gone. Then I hit one in the houses on 11. Two doubles in a row. After that it was fine.
Speaker 4:Doubles. Suck bro. That's the worst. I'd rather have a fucking eight or a nine than a double. No joke. I'd rather be way the fuck out of the hole than get a double. Those joke. I'd rather be way the fuck out of the hole than get a double, because every time I mean you know those doubles, you're like shit. Now I'm gonna make two more birdies to get it back after you're eight or nine, you're like fuck it, this rounds to shit yeah, you know all the pressure's off because you're not gonna make well most of the time you're not gonna make five or six birdies to get those back I but I.
Speaker 1:I started with a gift because we started on 18. I hit my tee shot in the right rough. I had 165 into the flag, hit my club. It landed in front and hit the rocks. The retaining wall of the lake bounced over the green and I thought it was in the water behind the green. I go back there. It's sitting there. I got a shot. I got to hit it through a bunch of goose shit. Uh, hit it, hit it to two feet and the pin was way up front. So hit it to like two feet, made the putt. I'm like I just like couldn't, could not believe.
Speaker 1:You know that should very easily been a double or triple yeah so, uh, go to the next hole, um, drain a 20 foot putt for par. Uh, the fifth hole, or the third hole, the par five. Uh, my pro shot just came up a little short, chipped it real close, made par, and then, on the short hole, perfect drive. And I just hit my approach a little fat so I had to chip up, missed the putt, bogey. Then the par three. I hit it in the green side bunker, beautiful bunker. Shot to three feet below the hole, missed the putt. Oh shit, same thing happened on the next hole. My approach shot goes right I'm in the back up the ball's like above my feet on a slope, and hit that shot to three feet, missed the putt.
Speaker 4:I'm like god damn it.
Speaker 1:You know and so, but I'm like I'm not, I'm not playing bad, playing good. You know the par, the next hole, the, the uh par three. Get to the t-box on seven or on eight seven, yeah, next to the range, the short hole just air melded into the range.
Speaker 3:Haven't hit a tee shot like that months and just like hey, here's a brand new ball on the range for you guys let's go let's go you can be in heaven, and then you just drop straight to the bottom like, yeah, in a matter of a whole you guys watch Rocky's break apart video.
Speaker 1:Oh it was hilarious. He started bogey, bogey, bogey from the blue tees. He's like we're starting over. That's it, second attempt.
Speaker 4:I'm starting over.
Speaker 1:He goes birdie, birdie, birdie, the next three holes.
Speaker 2:That's what's so funny, bro, like it's just like it's so mental bro, it's so mental it was is funny, so check that out.
Speaker 1:If you're not, I'm the same way.
Speaker 4:I only track fairways and right away screens up and downs and putts yeah, yeah, I track a lot, but I enjoy I.
Speaker 2:I like that part of it, though, for me well, you also love microsoft excel, so you know you're a different breed I don't use excel anymore for my golf stats anymore.
Speaker 1:I used I used to. Oh yeah, I'd show you some of that old shit you guys would like. What the fuck is wrong with you? Like a windows 95 and shit?
Speaker 4:oh yeah, it was well I'm of that old shit you guys would like. What the fuck is wrong with you, like a windows 95 and shit oh yeah, it was well, I'm not that old jeez, damn thanks did you print your stuff?
Speaker 3:on I remember windows 95 do you have a file cabinet full of dot matrix printed out.
Speaker 1:I got you oh yeah, I mean just like matt fitzpatrick does it, you know he's on, he's on tour, yeah, on tour. So. I'm on the VGN tour a little different. Yeah, no, I use the Clipdap now and I and I, I like the data, I like the stats, I like to know where how it helps me understand the areas of my game that I need to work on, the area games that I'm good on um well, I mean looking at where you came from right with that swing, that swing from 2016, like oh my god, dude, I had a little, I had a little chuckle on that video.
Speaker 1:Oh, I may have to find that.
Speaker 4:Let me see if I mean that was like right at the top, god it was so bad that was that was sick nerd alert.
Speaker 1:Let me see if I can find oh my god, it was so bad.
Speaker 2:Go ahead, joe, I mean that's the thing, though, like, even like when I first started, I was I mean, I was so entrenched with it and I was like, literally hitting 50 balls a day minimum right, you know, and now I don't have the time.
Speaker 2:so it's like and I was I was videoing my swing when 18 birdies had the ai like swing thing and it showed you where your hip position was or flexion and all this shit. I mean I was doing that too, but now it's just like Theo was born and I just I can't do that shit all the time Like priorities change man. Totally yeah, so it's. I mean it's, it's, but that's crazy, because golf is life. You know, life is golf. Look at this guy.
Speaker 1:Swipe yeah.
Speaker 2:Four right. How awful was that. That's Rhodes Ranch 10, right.
Speaker 1:No, that's the move right there.
Speaker 4:That's the move Boom.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I think we'll do one more Watch this swipey, swipe this guy's out and throw this guy's asking for $5 to clean your windows in the Walmart parking lot Swipe, swipe, swipe and out and throw this guy's asking for $5 to clean your windows in the Walmart parking lot. Swipe, swipe, swipe, oh yeah.
Speaker 1:You've always come a long way, for sure.
Speaker 2:Brother, can I get a dollar? I'll wipe your windows.
Speaker 1:Swipe, swipe, hey. The Clipped app is pretty freaking sick and you know Rob. You know rob saying too, if you're a stat nerd, it's. I know the tangent app is getting a lot of press right now because they're they're starting to hit up all the influencers and I reached out to clip saying hey, and they're like who are you?
Speaker 1:so um so guys podcast yeah so, guys, well, I know you're not gonna do it. Dan could really give a shit about it. Jeremy's not going to do it, it's just me, the data, it's amazing. I know my guys, it's not going to happen.
Speaker 2:I don't use apps anymore. This is a tournament and nobody wants to fill the scores in on Golf Genius. That's the only app I use for golf now.
Speaker 1:That's me casting like I'm filming a movie, oh dude. That was let's reel in a trout because I'm casting this boy out there.
Speaker 2:You got a great shot there, Scorsese.
Speaker 1:I need to send that to Tim so I can go. Aren't you glad we didn't start working then?
Speaker 2:yeah, that was cool everybody's in different spots in their game, though, which is cool, and everybody has a different perspective, you know, and that's like the diversity in golf is sick yeah, some people want nothing to do with data.
Speaker 1:Some people thrive on it and analytics is actually wanting to get better at golf. No, I, yeah, I would agree with that too.
Speaker 2:100 I would agree with that 100 robert yep, I mean, uh, ball spin, uh, you know, side spin fucking if you and oh, that's a different world. Yeah, but that's the thing, like if thing, like you have the opportunity every week to actually like do it right Because you're a fitter for Callaway, big old company man, and you have the opportunity two times a week, at least three.
Speaker 1:Oh, no, I have the quads at home. Well, I know you have them, but oh, I'm out back more than you know.
Speaker 2:No, I know, well, I know you have them, but I oh, I'm out back more than you know. No, I know, I know, but that's the thing. Like you have the access as well too, and the time because it takes access and time.
Speaker 3:Hey, I've put in the years let me ask you this this is an interesting one that Robert brought up.
Speaker 2:So maybe when I turn 74, I'll have the access in time too.
Speaker 4:Damn 74. That's, that's a, that's a yo. Go ahead, jay. What are we saying?
Speaker 1:Joe hasn't even got to the weekend soccer games yet you got a long way to go boy, you got a long way to go. I'm not doing that.
Speaker 3:You know what take. Get your kids in the golf. That's the way you're going to be able to play golf a lot yeah, just get your totally golf yep, well, he already is.
Speaker 4:Theo's a little golf man. What are we gonna say?
Speaker 3:I was just gonna say do you think that knowing that, like the analytics and the stats, is a requirement for getting better? Like, do you think, like honestly, like, if you took, do you think there's an advantage to knowing those, or do you think?
Speaker 3:that's a great question, maybe a feel person because, honestly, like me, I I'm the only time I get stats is like when you fitted me for my driver. So it's cool to know that stuff, but I don't, could you, can you I don't want to say wing it, but if you know your game and you know your numbers and everything like that from experience, rather than track man or whatever you can, I think in my opinion.
Speaker 4:I think stats and numbers they help, but I think that they are more helpful helpful for somebody who's already at scratch, or better. Yeah, because as you improve from a high handicapper to scratch, your swing is going to change so much and your number is going to change so much that you really can't rely on steady data at that point. Well, it definitely helps. It definitely helps, but I think, like I said, once you get to a certain skill level, then you can hone it in and start making consistent swings.
Speaker 1:Then the numbers will matter a little bit more. Understanding the numbers and the data is huge too.
Speaker 4:That's half the battle.
Speaker 2:I would say that's more.
Speaker 1:You have no idea what you're talking about and it could really mess you up.
Speaker 2:But that's more important to the equipment. Like if you know your yardages and you know you hit a cut every time and you know how far you hit that cut, the data doesn't matter, right, if you can dial in the data to your equipment, then, yes, it matters. But if you know you hit an eight iron with a draw every time to 165, and you know your yardage is on every club and you hit a four, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1:Doesn't help. So that's what I was trying to get to with Eric.
Speaker 3:That's exactly what I was trying to ask was I think at some point it's counterproductive. And maybe it's a skill thing Because obviously, like, if you can repeat a shot and you know the numbers associated with that shot, it's going to be a benefit. But if you're trying to chase swing speed as a higher handicap, when maybe that's not the right place to focus, I think numbers could really stand you in the right direction, for sure.
Speaker 1:Right now, I'm dealing with inconsistencies, with impact at my impact position and, and I have lost yards on my clubs um, mainly because I've, I've, I've just got this flip that I cannot fucking get rid of um, and you know the data that I have gotten, the, the analytics has shown you know you're, even though you're coming in four degrees down, you know you're, you're still adding loft at impact, and so that's really been a focus of me, and what Tim and I have been working on is trying to get the right things in place to help me get that. You know that handle forward and and hit down on the ball with the club face, not just the path. So there's a lot to it.
Speaker 1:there's a lot to it, but there's a lot to it there's a lot I could totally go out there I could totally go out there and play my game with my current game and I could be 100 happy with it, right? I you? Earlier in this year I shot 72 out at Lex is, you know, my lowest, my best round, and you know I I was. I played that round with what I consider a very inadequate, inconsistent golf swing with my current swing that I have. But I also know that if I'm going to get better, I need to work on these areas, and so that's what I'm doing, yeah.
Speaker 4:Yeah, Bottom line, I think, is you know, like you said, the numbers, the data, all this stuff can definitely help you know, but unless you're out there practicing, drilling, putting in the time and grinding and put you know, going to the ring yeah, you got to, you got to put the swings in, Like, like STEM said, you got to practice with purpose. You really do, you absolutely have to if you want to get better at this game. You have, you absolutely have to put in the work.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and we got a. We got a new drill that I was working on last night and I sent him a video and I was like check it out. And he's like, yes, now go do that a thousand times yeah, yeah I'm like nope, a thousand and one coming right up. Uh, yeah, the question is do you understand the data?
Speaker 4:and that's, that's so yeah that's when you get with stems and he'll get you squared away on what you're looking at. Yeah, yeah and buy a polo from stems.
Speaker 2:You know, it doesn't hurt either. Make you look cool out there at least, true got some sick polos all right, so we got that.
Speaker 1:Uh, mr scheffler, mr scheffler did it again Unfulfilled, shocker.
Speaker 2:Shocker I you know after.
Speaker 1:Can I call you sweetheart the genesis. I didn't think he was going to play as well as he did, but dude ripped it 17 under at an open.
Speaker 4:He's just on another level. Man, that's just what that guy does. His iron play is unmatched. You know it doesn't matter if he has a good round off the tee or not, that dude can he hit the ball in the bunker and then had a hard time getting out and had that double.
Speaker 1:They're like love to hear that conversation, because he's probably like, hey, I'm just gonna hit in this bunker, let's see what happens, because I'm bored this bores me so I think, uh, so everybody loved the emo scotty situation, right?
Speaker 2:like, do you think him not really caring about winning helped him win?
Speaker 2:I think he cares about I think he cares, 100, right, but he walked off 18 and he was like, yeah, another one. You know I, he didn't. He does not have the tiger fire where tiger was. Like I'm gonna go out there, I'm gonna get these motherfuckers. You know I'm gonna win this shit. Scotty's. Like, I'm playing golf, I'm good. You know, if I win, I win. Uh, I know my game, like, and he walks off, you know, mike terrico, hey, thanks for the toy for my son, you know it's, it's another win. And I I feel like I kind of can relate to that because, like I played good in the tournament this weekend, because I didn't care if I won, like I was literally out there just not even caring, like I was just playing golf.
Speaker 1:And I think he's at a mindset now where he's just like if I win another one, cool, if I lose another one, cool, it doesn't matter to me either way, because that's how he looks to me now I'll be curious to see if he continues on this run that he's on, if that starts to change, because right now he is all the top player in the world, got a great streak going on, got four majors. He's playing incredibly well and he's very humble. Now, once you start taking on that next step where you get into the 20 wins, the 10 majors, does it you know, legendary?
Speaker 1:I think he doesn't really care that much. I really don't. I don't see that stopping him.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I don't think he cares that much.
Speaker 3:I think it's his mindset. I think you're right, joe. I think he doesn't. He's always been chill, stress-free, I mean on the outside.
Speaker 4:And I think that's an advantage.
Speaker 3:I mean Tiger had the intensity and I think Scottie has that too. I mean he comes from behind by like seven or eight shots in tournaments, comes back and wins by a few strokes. You know, I don't think you do that by being a carefree person. I think he has that intensity, it's just different than Tiger.
Speaker 1:It's just a different way he manages it.
Speaker 4:I think Tiger was raised in a way to he wanted to be the greatest golfer ever, the best golfer ever. He wanted to dominate every event. He wanted to blow everybody out of the water. I think, scott, he's more of like I want to be the best dad ever. I want to be the best dad ever. I want to be the best human ever.
Speaker 4:I want to be the best husband ever, and if I happen to win, then cool, you know, because I like winning golf tournaments too, but I it's just, it's just different. You know, it's kind of like bobby jones. You know, bobby jones was, you know, the greatest golfer of his time and all this stuff, but he was a full-time lawyer, retired, I think, at 29, on top of his game, because he wanted to be a dad and raise his kids.
Speaker 2:So you know it's some people just are blessed, but family is more and I think, I think that's why everybody enjoys tiger a lot more too, because he got, he had flair, you know, scotty doesn't have a ton of flair, you know, was like, okay, I can't cut it around this tree and put it next to the hole.
Speaker 4:Tiger changed the game. Tiger changed the game. He paved the way for Scotty to be there. Look at Scotty. He's fucking head-to-toe. Nike, who's that? Mind you, he's doing the same shit.
Speaker 1:That's a good thought Is he the type of guy.
Speaker 2:Ted Scott has the most majors on him or second most right On the bag for a major.
Speaker 3:Probably yeah.
Speaker 1:He's getting up there. Yeah, I mean Stevie Williams probably has how many does he have, Probably like 10.
Speaker 3:He's got what got 12 with Tiger.
Speaker 2:Something like that.
Speaker 3:Bones has got two. He had two or three with.
Speaker 2:Hormey yeah getting close.
Speaker 1:So do you with his demeanor and his the way he plays. Do you think you'll see anybody like Callaway or Srexon or anybody else? Come and try him and lure him away equipment-wise.
Speaker 2:I don't think he cares. Honestly, I really think he'd give two shits. Somebody will try, yes, but I don't know.
Speaker 1:Mike says still think Tiger should officially retire and restart the Nike golf equipment line.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that would go fire on whatnot.
Speaker 3:That would be amazing, that would kill on whatnot Shit?
Speaker 1:What's him say? That's the key. Scottie gave us his basket of eggs and we ain't got more eggs.
Speaker 2:He's not worried about winning. He's not worried about winning.
Speaker 1:It's going to be interesting because he's got the open to complete the slam.
Speaker 4:George.
Speaker 1:Spiegel needs the Pga championship to get his slam. You know we could have back-to-back years where players you know complete the slam. It's uh champions yeah, yeah, yeah, got rider cup coming up there's. There's still golf tournaments, this you know.
Speaker 3:Memphis now I can't believe we're almost over, though, looking at the schedule there's like four tournaments left, right around the corner 3M and then after that, is it St Jude after 3M, or is there one more? Also Ryder Cup at.
Speaker 2:Beth Page is coming up. I've played there guys. I've played Beth Page.
Speaker 1:That's coming up. When did you do that? How come? You never told us.
Speaker 2:I slept in the car at Bethpage. It was pretty rad dude.
Speaker 1:I can't wait for Rattata Cup.
Speaker 4:We can go back and listen to any episode of Rattata Cup.
Speaker 1:I got homeless guys, I slept in the car.
Speaker 4:Let's see Schedule the 3M 3M, then the Wyndham, then the.
Speaker 1:Wyndham, and then we're in Memphis. Yeah, so there's only two tournaments left for the playoffs.
Speaker 2:Wow, let's see where where's the question? For.
Speaker 3:Jeremy right here. Yes, yes, mike, yes, absolutely. I honestly I think it depends on the course, like if he can get a creativity course, I think that's his best opportunity.
Speaker 1:Harry's up to 45th, so he only needs to improve 15 spots to make the finals.
Speaker 2:They need to move PGA back to August.
Speaker 1:I don't think it really matters. I don't think it really matters. I like Players, masters, pga, us Open Ryder Cup. I think it's a good run.
Speaker 4:The only.
Speaker 2:Thing that sucks about the Open is it's way too early for us on the West Coast.
Speaker 1:It's in Europe.
Speaker 2:I didn't even watch that much man they should move it to the states yeah, no, no, no, just start later and put. Put it under the lights oh, let's see what green is like iceland.
Speaker 1:Yeah, he is under the radar here. Golf course, communities and smu here are no go other than that no one here bothers him. They don't recognize him, never seen him around and lives 15 minutes from me. Yeah, did you hear his interview where he said there's a? There's a chipotle that he can go to near smu that?
Speaker 4:yeah, go to.
Speaker 1:But there's another one. I'm not going to tell you where it's at.
Speaker 2:Nobody knows who I right uh, so that's the scotty, so I mean he's got to be you know rory's going for what?
Speaker 1:his fourth fedex cup, record fourth fedex cup and scotty's up there now. It should be a good playoffs. Should be a good playoffs yeah, that's starting one fedex.
Speaker 2:He hasn't right, has he? No, I don't think so.
Speaker 4:I don't think he's mad check that out, jeremy didn't he win it last year?
Speaker 2:no, rory did yeah, and then the year before that was victor, right I thought he won it last year, because I thought he won like 60 scotty 2024, victor 23.
Speaker 3:Oh, what scotty last year and I thought he won like 60. Scotty 2024, victor 23. Oh, what's got he last year?
Speaker 1:and then rory was 22.
Speaker 3:can't lay. Yeah, terrible, I'm horrible. Rory is going for it.
Speaker 2:I love being right big data guy over here, matt big data guy debbie's in the chat.
Speaker 1:For damn being right oh yeah, because he had the o, the Olympics and everything last year.
Speaker 4:Yeah, he had a fucking crazy-ass year. He's having another crazy year.
Speaker 1:I thought the. Tim keeps on posting every time Scotty wins the Phil Mickelson. I don't think this guy will win until after the Ryder Cup For the fourth time he's been wrong.
Speaker 4:Did you see Keegs already came out and said DeChambeau's going to be on the team.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:I saw the interview where Bryson was like he put something in our lockers. It's very inspirational. Saw that video and then the press is like what is it he's like? It was very nice, it was very inspirational.
Speaker 1:So yeah, Bryson's on the team bag of yayo.
Speaker 2:Very inspirational, nice bag of roids mike's got 60 of those busting out rails no, I just I did not send him all of them. There's something.
Speaker 3:I sent them other things, guys, tech, thumper, tech thumper, every light post in Wisconsin is going to have a sticker on it, right?
Speaker 2:That's hilarious. It sucks dude, it counts as one. That's besides. It sucks dude, it counts as one.
Speaker 1:Joe's just racking up those shipping charges on everybody. Hey, don't buy six at once, buy six separate ones.
Speaker 2:No, after five it's free. It bundles, it bundles, does it really?
Speaker 3:Yeah, I was wondering about that today. Yeah, it bundles. I was going to say, dan, you probably spent, I've got free shipping for life.
Speaker 1:That's funny, dude, and we missed this earlier when Eric said this. This was a really good thing. He said, I only show certain numbers for a reason when a client asks me for other parameters. If they can't tell me why, then I won't show them. I'm gonna use that. I'm going to use that. I'll collect the non-material payment favors when I'm not in vegas.
Speaker 2:There we go no, you get whatnot value, bro. I already sent you whatnot value of all those stickers Credits.
Speaker 1:Whatnot credits? Do you want to get into the match at all? Sure, yeah, we're almost at an hour.
Speaker 2:Thanks, everybody, you might get kicked out.
Speaker 1:Hanging with us.
Speaker 2:No, no, no. Can you talk about it?
Speaker 1:No, hey, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. I watched it. I was rooting for Matt big time, but it was a horrible watch, and no disrespect to them. They threw this together in 10 days. Much respect for being able to pull off what they did, but it was a rough watch.
Speaker 2:It was. I think it was like a case study, if you will. I think there is room to make it a lot better. I obviously was supporting tradition Matt the whole time. I would love to see it done well, I think there's a lot of room for improvement. They got a huge community together to do something great for people that currently do not have a lot and it was for charity and raised like $12,000 for families in the floods, raised like twelve thousand dollars for families, uh, in the floods affected by the floods in texas, central texas.
Speaker 2:Um, I watched the whole time. It was. It was really interesting. I watched all day tradition golf and off tour truck um, it was.
Speaker 2:It was kind of uh, kind of wild to watch the chat when the audio wasn't on. It's like, oh, did they beat him up? Nobody's here did they do this? And it's just like bro and I was on the whole time, so, um, but like, if you stay tuned and understand what happened from the situation, at the end of the day they came together. You know, uh off tour trek uh comes from a boxing background and he is a promoter and he was doing this thing, but like they became friends in the moment and they raised twelve thousand dollars for families affected by floods, which is awesome. Which is amazing, right, like I wish I could have went down there, but the flights sucked so bad. Um, but it was cool. I think it was a case study and I think there is obviously room for improvement. Obviously, the heat fucked up the phones and you know could be done correctly and right. I think it could be huge, I think it could be massive, but they did a great job. They threw it together in two weeks. Shout out to those guys.
Speaker 4:Those e-bikes were sick.
Speaker 2:They were fast. They were going to be fun, shout out EA Carts, ea Carts, ea Carts.
Speaker 4:EA Carts. It's in the game.
Speaker 1:That's what I kept thinking.
Speaker 2:EA Carts Go, hit those greens.
Speaker 1:Yeah. So I don't know, I'm not sure if Whatnot is the right platform to do something like that?
Speaker 2:No, definitely not, but they were filming the whole time. There's going to be a YouTube video.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I know they were filming the whole time.
Speaker 1:That's what they need. I think it would have. I don't know, I was saying this in our group chat. It would have been nice just to watch those guys play golf without all the other shit going on. But I know what they were doing. They were trying to raise money and and I nothing but respect for that. I've done fundraisers in the past, love what they did, the amount of money they raised, everything. But as a viewer it was just it's like fucking phones down again. Okay, oh, it's hot. And yeah, it was just it was they need.
Speaker 2:So they need like a like a cart, like how, I mean like good, good does it, you know. They need a like a production golf cart where you you'd have to run like obs, right, you have like, uh, you know, starlink or whatever you're going to use, and have that going down and people running uh, obs with, uh, like the score, current score, current hole, just like what pga tour, tour does. Really, I mean like that, that would be so sick, but that's probably very far down the road. Um, it could be done better for sure, but I enjoyed it. I, I was out there supporting tradition, uh, homie matt and uh buying up all the tradition hats. Yeah, I just didn't want him to get one. I didn't want him to get one before the match what are you doing?
Speaker 2:yeah, I was just trying to support, support the homie, so uh, but no, I think it was fantastic. I I loved it.
Speaker 1:It could be done better, for sure okay, fantastic is a stretch, joe, fantastic idea, fantastic in the sense of it happening.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, it was tough to watch. Yeah, because the phones and low production value, but the fact that I did it was just awesome, was fantastic right and they did.
Speaker 1:It was fantastic, right, yeah what happened was fantastic, not the what you watched. It was.
Speaker 2:It was not good, it wasn't no, I know that, I know that, but I'm saying I'm sitting there going because I had my laptop up and I was.
Speaker 1:I had matt's feed on the laptop and I had ott's feed on my phone and I was watching both of them and I'm like in my head I'm going this needs to be on one thing, not two things, because it yeah yeah, you know you couldn't hear when matt was talking in his feed. You couldn't hear him when he was talking on matt's feed and it's. If you didn't have both of them up, you couldn't hear a conversation. It was. I don't know.
Speaker 2:Like I said, I don't think that's the right platform. I think I'm not saying that the viewing was fantastic.
Speaker 1:I'm saying what happened was fantastic yeah, okay, as long as you clear that up yeah, I'm not.
Speaker 2:I'm not saying that the production value was fantastic for what they had. It is what it is you know they made it happen they made it happen, made it happen, and I love how they came together at the end. Yeah, I couldn't watch it anymore.
Speaker 4:Yeah, I watched the whole thing yeah, I was logged off and falling asleep already yeah, robert, who, robert?
Speaker 2:what's your whatnot?
Speaker 1:name excellent. Oh wait, robert hance, a different one, sorry. Do I know what's your? Whatnot name?
Speaker 2:Jake Slim, oh, wait, robert Hanson, different one, sorry, what's your what? No, I would say. Off Tour Truck would lose to Bogey 362.
Speaker 1:I'll stand by that all day.
Speaker 4:Oh, texas Wedge, what up, what up, texas Wedge, how you doing.
Speaker 2:Guys, go follow Texas. Wedge 21, 21 or whatnot.
Speaker 1:Bookmark the shows review, comment all that I'm gonna have to start charging you for all. No, bro.

Speaker 1:Yeah, it's amazing, it's awesome.
Speaker 2:Thank, you guys, for being here.

Speaker 2:So I told drop. I told drop, richard, rich, red, drop, right, and uh, I was like we're going to uh pace. And he was like, oh, and that dude's been everywhere, he's never been a pace. And I was like I got one on your ass, bro, let's go. What did he do? You know, I it was drop has played everywhere. He's played sand, valley, valley, valley, neil, everywhere. Oh, and I oh.
Speaker 4:So you're saying he had a good reaction to us going yeah he's like where are you going?
Speaker 2:I was like pacing. He's like, oh, you're playing here, you're playing there.
Speaker 1:He's like dude, that's, that's hard, that's hard, so I can't wait oh yeah, when, when you guys hear us talking about the beautiful golf courses for exactly the auction that's why, that's how we're going. We're playing the Rim and Chaparral Pines, two private clubs that have some spectacular views and reviews.
Speaker 3:So very excited. Can we go to the next one? Beautiful Golf.
Speaker 2:Courses on Instagram runs an event every year where he auctions off courses and you can bid on rounds at the course. Highly, highly rated, highly supreme, highly private golf courses around the country Like the round in Chevrolet.
Speaker 4:When do you do that, march?
Speaker 2:Like March, is that March?
Speaker 4:Top 100 courses, top resorts in the country. It's amazing. Really really, really special spots.
Speaker 2:I mean it had Old Barnwell this year, I can't remember.
Speaker 1:Dan was probably on there every day. There were so many, I was watching all of them.
Speaker 4:The last two days I was on there the most.
Speaker 1:Mike, you're going to have to open up for a show for November. Black Friday, week Black. The last two days I was on there the most, Mike you're going to have to open up for the whatnot show November.
Speaker 2:Black Friday week. Black Friday for a week.
Speaker 1:Beautiful golf courses. Beautiful golf courses hosting Hit and Green's Four Hadley charity auction show on whatnot.
Speaker 2:That would be sick. Let's go. You're going to fly out here, though, Mike. You got to fly out here.
Speaker 4:No reruns, that would be kind of sick actually that would be cool bro.
Speaker 2:That would be cool, it's another way.
Speaker 1:It's another way to get the word out. I mean so many people you know, think about how many people don't know about us. How many people don't know about beautiful golf courses. How many don't know about that? Got that.
Speaker 2:So we're gonna, we're gonna help blow it up that's what's so cool, man, just using platforms to like introduce people to new shit.
Speaker 4:That's all it is, bro, yep and find shit and find cool shit introducing me to some debt. Yeah, all right, I can't go on the trip.
Speaker 1:Now, guys, uh, now guys, credit cards maxed out. No, no, it ain't that bad.
Speaker 4:It ain't that bad, but I'm just like whoo when that bill came in.
Speaker 2:I better shut that card off. Everything I sell is what I owe.
Speaker 3:I just follow Dan around and see what he purchases. Pretty much yeah with beautiful golf courses.
Speaker 2:you are saving a baby. That's what Mike said. You're saving a baby when you bid on yeah love it.
Speaker 4:Yeah, that could be, but I could also be raising a baby with the amount of money. Well, that'll never happen. That'll never happen.
Speaker 2:That'll never, happen save a baby if you're not going to raise a baby.
Speaker 4:That's what I say support what don't raise save, don't raise save, don't raise don't raise your own kids, save some other ones you guys got anything for all interfold anybody.
Speaker 1:You got anything that want to do or we can uh not do it this week it hasn't been a big hit yet, so I don't know I can see the excitement in your voices.
Speaker 2:yes, Save a baby. Swipe on whatnot yeah.
Speaker 1:Oh shit, We'll save it for another time.
Speaker 4:I was going to say I got a fold. If we're going to do this, oh, all in or fold, dan. Yeah, I got a fold, I got a fold on the fucking United States Postal Service. All you motherfuckers suck. All of you. I don't give a fuck what city you're in, what county you're in, what state you're in. Y'all fucking suck. Do better, do better, get better, fuck off. You'll suck All of them, not just UPS.
Speaker 2:UPS.
Speaker 1:FedEx, all of them.
Speaker 2:Hey, shout out my cousin Josh. He's probably listening. He's a postal worker. Hey, Josh.
Speaker 4:Do better Josh. You're probably a dumb dude. But come on, your company sucks, bro, let's get it together.
Speaker 3:The problem is they have no incentive to be better. Yeah.
Speaker 4:None.
Speaker 1:There's no, yeah, I I dealt with it when I when I was working in the auto industry ups. No disrespect to the people who work there, you guys are amazing, but my god, the accountability is like um, we delivered it. What's the fucking problem? Uh, that door panel is folded in half. Okay, you got it. It's like just mind boggling, so why?
Speaker 2:context dan why? Why do you hold on usbs? Because I I know also personally, but why?
Speaker 4:just some of the stupid shit they do like I've had packages sitting in buildings for the last seven days. They haven't moved. Yep, I bought them three weeks ago. One place. I got a message from the seller that they robbed the fucking postal store and my package was in there. I was like what the fuck is going on? So it's just a run of what the fuck is going on. So it's just, you know, it's just a what the fuck is going on, you know. But but seriously, though, there has been quite a few packages that have taken me like three weeks. I mean, you could see the seller shipping them off quickly.
Speaker 4:You could see the case they're getting them something like that, but in the system it's a it's a fuck fest so how long has what not been around?
Speaker 2:I know it's not new, but it's no, it's at least four or five years, I don't know at least four years, minimum, minimum, four years, probably longer. Yeah, the but I do agree is because, dude, I am at the post office at least four times a week. I literally dropped off I went to three different post offices today because I didn't want to be questioned why I'm dropping off so many boxes that are 46 inches by four. You know, you're not shooting guns.
Speaker 1:Who gives a shit?
Speaker 2:I know, but it's like dude, they look at you weird. They they're like why are?
Speaker 1:you doing this to us.
Speaker 4:Why are?
Speaker 2:you doing this to us? Why are you doing this to us?
Speaker 4:Yeah, I was supposed to have a lazy Friday. What happened? I got to work 2019.
Speaker 2:I went to three post offices today to ship like 28 packages just because like they don't make you feel welcome, there's no customer service. You got to stand in a line. You got to stand in a line. I got to scan my barcodes on the like self-help thing just to make sure that they know they're there. You know, because if I don't do that it might not get scanned for five, six days.
Speaker 2:And then the homie Carl don't hate in Texas in two weeks is asking where his packages. You know we take care of people out here and I'm like, bro, I dropped it off, I'll go down to the post office ask questions. I went down there. They're like, oh, we can't do shit for you Should have scanned it in. So now I scan everything. And it's just like they're lazy, they don't scan shit. Sometimes Packages get missed and then it shows up two weeks after your question. I'm like like, bro, just wait out. Bro, just wait a little while, just wait a little while. I promise you I dropped it off and it's just like you're getting, you're getting, do your job.
Speaker 1:Stop telling so many stickers, no problem, no no, bro, those are, those are stamps.
Speaker 2:Those are stamps. Those go in the drop box. Those aren aren't tracked. But you know, like, seriously, like when I first started, dan gave me that blue tease speaker. I checked on it four weeks later, never scanned anywhere, and I promise you I dropped that off and I don't even know if that's gone through. I have no idea.
Speaker 1:Kevin, I have told you this, but he won't listen to me.
Speaker 4:Joe, you know what's funny about that baby t-shirt? I want a fucking blue tees and a buyer's givy thing, and that's the fucking package I got stolen.
Speaker 1:Oh really, Wow they're after the blue tees, they're after the blue tees.
Speaker 4:It's an inside thing. I think they're sending their own employees to rob their shit back. We're struggling, go rob their shit back like we're struggling.
Speaker 2:go rob that shit back and we'll resell it I I do agree with kevin saying like come, have them come to you, but like I I can't pack up 100 boxes and like have them sitting in front of my house to have them come pick up. I don't trust it. You know I'm I'm dropping them off, making sure they get there. I, you know, I can't have them sitting in the front like we've had stuff stolen off our porch, just like I'm sure most people have. I'm not leaving. I'm not leaving stuff out there to get ripped off take five.
Speaker 1:I was talking this morning about how buyers submit refunds and they get to keep the item they bought and get their money back. Is that a big issue? What I see I bought something on his show that it was what got shipped was not what was sold, you know, because it was the the. It said it was an uncut hybrid shaft and it was cut three inches. And so I sent him a message and he's like, yeah, just submit, you know, a return on it. And so I did the return and until it got scanned at ups I didn't get the refund.
Speaker 2:So that's interesting that people are doing that no, I, I mean, I think, if, if you purchase from a uh, like somebody that's reputable, like nobody's trying to get one over on you yeah that happened to me too, they sent me a medium when I, when I ordered a large and the guy's like dude, he goes, oh, we'll give you refund, he goes, don't worry about returning.
Speaker 4:And it's more of a fucking hassle.
Speaker 1:I'm like yeah, that's what a lot of amazon sellers the, the, yeah, like people that sell their stuff through amazon there's like it's worse because I lose money on the returns because I have to, yeah, I have to refund your shipping originally and I gotta take the product back.
Speaker 2:So yeah yeah, I mean dude. Shipping sucks, guys.
Speaker 1:It's a lot of fucking work we have a broken toilet and so I we uh on uh. Sunday we were walking around home dep Depot looking at toilets and I was about ready to drop $600 on a smart toilet. But then you have to have a power outlet in the bathroom and I was like I'm going to have. Dan, come over and do it real quick. Nah, let's just stick to a basic toilet.
Speaker 2:Just reach back into the handle. Just rub your butt and you're toilet. Just reach back into the handle. Yeah, just rub your butt and you're good Just heat your butt, just rub your butt.
Speaker 1:I was like. You know, we buy so much on Amazon. I wonder if they sell toilets on Amazon. Heated seats, heated seats. They sell toilets on Amazon so I checked the prices. It was cheaper than Lowe's, cheaper than Home Depot, even with the free shipping, so I ordered it. It's supposed to be here tomorrow and Amazon says shipped on the way and UPS says seller hasn't picked this up yet. Or UPS hasn't picked this up, yet it's like.
Speaker 2:No, there's something not clicking.
Speaker 1:Yeah, there's a lot of BS going, going on in it they got like built-in, built-in, ai butt wipers in there it's so funny.
Speaker 3:I watched that episode the laser clean you japanese toilets, those mizuno joints?
Speaker 4:yeah, jordan says the mizuno toilets are fire the next gen toilets.
Speaker 1:It's got the hot airflow to dry your butt. It's got the heated seat. It's got a nightlight. It's got a foot tap to flush the toilet, it's. It was bad-ass. I'm like damn.
Speaker 2:But yeah, a little ridiculous.
Speaker 1:And then so I'm like how ridiculous can toilets get? Yeah, there's a $10,000 toilet on the Home Depot website. Wow, that is insane, that is insane, insane.
Speaker 4:You must turn your shit into gold or something. That's fucking insane. I was like wow, imagine that you just fucking take a big old dump and pump it.
Speaker 1:I wanted a $1,000 toilet. Now just to say that I've done it.
Speaker 2:It'd be nice if it turned into golf box shipping boxes. Composed into shipping boxes, just turns into a box that fits a golf club.
Speaker 4:Boom, this box stinks.
Speaker 2:Shout out Uline.
Speaker 1:Starts on his drop on a V-seat throne next year.
Speaker 4:V-seat. V-seat Alright.
