Episode 344

Golf has a remarkable ability to shape our lives in unexpected ways. In this heartfelt episode, we take a moment to reflect on our six-year journey with the Chasing Daylight Podcast and share the deeply personal stories of how golf brought us together.

Each host reveals their unique path through the game. Dan recounts his early start at age three, his professional aspirations on mini-tours, and his current goals for USGA events. Joe describes his 20-year hiatus from golf before that one magical shot at Desert Willow rekindled his passion at age 33. Jeremy shares his evolution from Titleist loyalist to equipment explorer, while Matt traces his journey from casual player to blogger, club builder, and Callaway fitter.

What emerges through these stories is golf's power to connect people across time and geography. As Joe eloquently puts it, "Golf is the never-ending quest" that opens doors to experiences and friendships that would otherwise never exist. From discussing course conditions at Coyote Springs to debating dream destinations like Sand Valley and Gamble Sands, the conversation showcases how this game creates bonds that transcend competition.

Whether you're a lifelong player or new to golf, this episode reminds us that the true value of the game lies not in perfect scores but in the relationships formed along the way. As we continue chasing daylight together, we invite you to reflect on your own golf journey and the ways this remarkable game has enriched your life.

Speaker 1:

what is up everybody? Welcome to another episode of the Chasing Daylight Podcast.

Speaker 3:

Feed the ducks. Feed the ducks. Feed the ducks. They're not bitches.

Speaker 1:

Hey everybody, thanks so much for tuning into this week's show. Hey everybody, thanks so much for tuning into this week's show. Yeah, I pretty much have a blank sheet over here. Not a whole lot going on in the golf world. You know, there was a golf tournament, we played a golf tournament. We can talk about the VGN event.

Speaker 3:

Joe had himself a good day out there, decent, day, decent day he was rolling the.

Speaker 4:

Aurelia yeah.

Speaker 3:

Scotty boy, How's it Got paint? Yeah, that's got paint right.

Speaker 1:

Love it Rolling it really well too. Congrats to you on your second place. Finish out there.

Speaker 4:

Are you going to keep that butter in the bag for a bit?

Speaker 3:

Potentially yeah On Sunday. I want to see it on Sunday. I might have to. Yeah, it rolled really well. I need to get it cleaned up though.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it needs a little TLC, it needs a little work. It needs a little work.

Speaker 3:

Shut up, cosby, let's go.

Speaker 1:

You were rolling a great 30 years old Right?

Speaker 3:

yeah, I mean, what is that 96, 97? Yeah, Dude, I loved it. It was great. It feels great.

Speaker 1:

Fantastic, he was rolling it great, I got a new Goodwood. New Goodwood arrives tomorrow. For me it's a mallet, one of their mallets, so I'm looking forward to that Going to bring that out on this coming up Sunday. We got Mitch's Revenge. If anybody is not aware of what Mitch's Revenge is, it's one of the superintendent challenge things. Greenskeeper's revenge, greenskeeper's revenge, yeah, so they just set the course up really, really difficult.

Speaker 4:

And a very hard golf course.

Speaker 1:

From the back of the back tees stretches it out to 7,600 yards. Yeah, very difficult. Golf course, that is made even harder with stupid pin locations, and ian out there was telling me that their goal was to get the greens to 13 and a half.

Speaker 3:

So that's, that's pretty amazing love it, yours, love fast greens dan you remember?

Speaker 1:

what happened on number four last year oh yeah, oh yeah uh yeah, first hole of the day yeah, that was insane, so I'm sure we're gonna see a lot more of that. Uh, the course was. We played our vg and event as our final major of the year out there this past weekend, on saturday, and the course was in fantastic shape.

Speaker 3:

It was looking good honestly, they're doing so much like it's crazy. I've never even seen people working out there, yeah, on the grass, or like even the putting green cutting it away, like you know, like, and they've cleared so many things. My thought is that they are trying to clean it up to bring investors in to play the course and be like hey, we're going to build this second course soon. Do you want in? That was my thought, cause it looked way cleaner, way nicer, cleaned up, tightened up a lot, a lot better than it's looked. I mean, it's always been a great course and it's always looked great, but, like they're, they're detailing that place.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so I think I like. I like all the cleanup that they've done, All the overgrowth around the tee boxes on some of the tee box like 13 is is like a lot more appealing when you're standing on the tee box now with all the brush down and gone. Appealing when you're standing on the tee box now with all the brush down and gone.

Speaker 3:

Um, how they're letting the rough grow around the greens and the the bunkering. I think that bunker rough is nasty so nasty we had, um, uh nasty.

Speaker 1:

It was andrew cohen in our group. He he came up and shortened the bunker on three, the par three, and his bunker shot because it was a back pin, so he flew it all the way back. It bounced on the green, bounced in the fringe and then bounced into the rough.

Speaker 3:

And I was like 12 feet away. Took three hacks at it.

Speaker 1:

We couldn't find it. There was like three of us looking for it, trying to find it, in that I mean it was thick, thick, thick fescue I to find it in that I mean it was thick, thick, thick fescue and I love that.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I mean it was brutal really people, people think it's unfair but like don't go there. Hey, uh, pimpin fails in the house. Green leaves in the house, let's go I mean it's just like don't hit it there. Yeah, it's a whole trey's motto to play better. You know what I mean. It's a whole Trey's motto play better. You know what I mean hey, you guys.

Speaker 1:

We need to get a sloth soundbite for Greenlee when he pops in also happy birthday Greenlee happy belated birthday to Mr Greenlee so. James Fights had a birthday, my mom had a birthday. A bunch of birthdays going on, so happy birthday to everybody that we may have missed this.

Speaker 3:

Last week I tried facetiming greenlee from the uh golf course to wish him happy birthday and he was like not talking to that guy uh so he did love the video we sent him though yeah, like five takes yeah no two, it was two it was just two, I know don't tell don't tell eric that I go.

Speaker 1:

Hey, happy birthday homie, and and matt's like happy birthday hey I had a total brain aneurysm Like who are we talking to?

Speaker 3:

That's right oh yeah, valley of the flips in the house, oh my god, justin, appreciate you homie. Oh yeah, we gotta do that one. Everybody ready To the side. Guys Clap Go follow. Valley of the flips On Instagram. Alright.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 3:

I mean that's a win-win.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 3:

Sounds like a you, you, you, you.

Speaker 1:

You, you you.

Speaker 2:

Dan, how was C coyote for you? Uh, coyote was good. I actually for 16 holes I played really well. For two holes I played very bad um which two.

Speaker 2:

I started off with a double on the first hole, just completely pulled it right into the shit and lost it. And then, um, same thing happened on eight pulled it right into the shit and lost it. And then same thing happened on eight pulled it right into the shit, had to take an unplayable and it was damn near impossible up and down. So I had a double, a triple and then went one under for 16 holes. So I had it, man, I played. Okay, just just those two holes did me in.

Speaker 3:

Congrats to Trey the three the three, band three P three.

Speaker 1:

Congrats to Trey the three banger 3P for Trey Three majors in a row at Coyote. It's now Coyote Trey Springs.

Speaker 4:

Trey is the mayor of Coyote Springs.

Speaker 1:

Coyote Springs, yeah.

Speaker 3:

He loves that place, dude. And also, if you guys have never played golf in Vegas, there are three courses that we typically Recommend to you if you're coming into town. It's Paiute, Boulder Creek and Coyote Springs. I mean, it's one of our top three that we'll recommend. It's fantastic course.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely, and it's, it's, it's I mean, it's always in great shape and and it was good as fast.

Speaker 3:

So it's fun man, and it was good this past week. It's fun man, Fun play it's hard as fuck it doesn't matter what team you play.

Speaker 1:

It doesn't matter what team you play.

Speaker 2:

Of course we'll kick you in the fucking teeth, yeah absolutely.

Speaker 3:

I miss Royal Lynx too. Yeah, we all miss Royal Lynx man.

Speaker 1:

God, it's so sad I got my ass kicked. I couldn't find a flat lie and just wrecked me.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, you started like shit, honestly, well, no, I parred the first hole.

Speaker 1:

I hit fairway. And then it was disaster after that, and then I well, just that second hole was shit. Two really bad swings. You just could not find it, just could not find it, could not find it. And then the only hole I get a stroke on I parred. So I'm like, okay, that's okay, did good there, and just a couple here and there, and then that fucking four putt on.

Speaker 3:

Let's take a second and like some yeah you, I could tell you were like frustrated and you lost it. You were, you were about, you were slamming your clubs a little softly yeah softly on the ground. Yeah, so the better players in this show. Like what happens in your thought process. When you have a bad hole, do you just forget it? Dan jeremy, like what happens in your head.

Speaker 4:

You have like, you have to. Yeah, it's the only way to like turn it around. Like I tripled nine. I air mailed my second shot over the green and tripled it. I don't know where I was playing, great. And then you just, you just have to like forget it. It's the only way you can continue with your round, otherwise it's all gonna go to shit.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I wasn't I don't think I was. I was upset with the bad play, I was just frustrated with my poor execution. You know, it's not like I was doing things that you know was wrong, I just wasn't, I just wasn't executing it and uh, then then you get the poor execution on it lies, it's like it just compounds and and then I was died. I that I had a whole that horrible read on the sixth hole that I had I thought was a great, you know, chance to make a birdie and get back into it, and then it just went sideways from there and I was like but but I drove the ball great, I missed two fairways all day, drove the ball great, you know I'm not a big hitter.

Speaker 1:

So, uh, you know, uh, 67, 6800 yards, what we're playing out there at those blue tees, it's, it's not, it's not my wheelhouse. So you know, I gotta require, I gotta to depend on the long shots and the and the short game and my chipping was just trash, just absolute trash, and that's what saved me so much and when that, you know, driving's good approach game was okay, but normally the chipping and putting is what saves me and and I didn't give my any chance because the chipping was trash out at coyote. You cannot rely on chipping, and putting is what saves me and and I didn't give my putting any chance because the chipping was trash out at coyote.

Speaker 3:

You cannot rely on chipping and putting out there either you know, no, no this is crazy, just moving around there's a few.

Speaker 4:

There's only a few greens where you can't putt defensive, especially when the greens are fast oh yeah like most of the time, you're trying not to run it by four or five, six feet I mean I had.

Speaker 1:

So I had some fantastic shots ends out.

Speaker 3:

There too.

Speaker 1:

There was some nasty boys out there I had some just absolutely fantastic bunker shots that just you know, nowhere near the hole where I thought it was going to be, except for on nine. That one was good, but just you know, when you get in that situation then the greens are fast and the unrelated greens out there and you have to be defensive for par or to save bogey. It can get away from you really quick I had a nasty, nasty, nasty chip skinner that we're gonna give something away we'll give something.

Speaker 3:

We got paint.

Speaker 1:

Uh, I played new wedges too, because that was in the bunker, if it wouldn't hit the flag, I mean I played new wedges too, and they're the shafts are not good for me.

Speaker 3:

I need to. I need to go on golf works and get shafts for those or something, because they're they just feel like wet noodles. But that on 10, and it won me some money too, which I liked.

Speaker 1:

Did you get the same lofts, yep?

Speaker 4:

Same lofts, same grinds.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, but when it's an OEM manufacturer we should probably check those lofts. And I already sold my last set, so we can't compare because I sold them on whatnot the other night. But like anybody that knows, like Greenlee, just because it says 54 on the club doesn't mean it's a 54. So I'd be curious to check them because they are brand new, they feel fantastic. Shafts are not for me but uh, yeah, like I was talking to matt and I was like I just don't feel with my 54. 54 is like my little feely club where I can just like hit 40 yards, 50 yards, 60, 80, you know little drosky cutter boys, but I just I couldn't feel it like I like I had no, I I mean I just felt like it was doing this when I was swinging. So that's the shaft, obviously, but um, it's stock shafts. Uh, tour issue, dynamic gold wedge tour issue on you know. But uh, nobody on tour is playing, that I would guarantee you it's a wimpy noodle they're probably too light for you.

Speaker 2:

They're probably too light s200s right no, they're.

Speaker 3:

They're well supposedly s300s. So dynamic, gold, wedge, flex, 115 tour issue. Oh, they're 115s yeah, so there's, they're too light and I don't mind it in my 60, because I don't. I don't usually do full swings in those, um, but dude, the 50 and the 54 just like. I mean, I lost so much you hit some great shots.

Speaker 1:

Did that, though? I mean on what did you hit? On 18, because that was a great approach from the rough uh, I was 54.

Speaker 3:

That it was probably because it was in the rough. It probably helped me because it probably kicked it out of the rough, you know, because it probably bent and like, kicked it and lifted it up out of the rough. That was a great shot. I missed the putt, unfortunately, but, um, I I you know my gap wedge was 115. I hit it, I hit it full and it went. It went 98 yards. I think on on my full shot that I hit with it first time out and obviously with fresh grooves. Everything was like stopping super quick and spinning a bit like dude. I was hitting some checker boys, like some chubby checkers and uh, it was fun. But uh, I need new shafts in those and I also need custom ferrules, which are over here somewhere, because you gotta have custom ferrules on your wedges.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm gonna draw stuff in the in the garage dan, what shafts do you play in your wedges?

Speaker 4:

s400 okay, I've never played anything but the stock voki shafts, s200s. Never even tried another wedge shaft.

Speaker 2:

I like to go a little heavier but softer, like I don't do the x 100s. I have an x 100 in my 50 degree, but the 54 and 58 are as 400 um, just for a little softer right there, softer flex in there, but they're still heavy because I think that's 400s way, like 128 or 130 or some shit.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think I fucked up because I wanted to put these on my wedges. These Albatross ferals, let's do that.

Speaker 1:

There, you go Instagram, what not?

Speaker 3:

what not, what not, what not. But I think I gave one away on what not and I have to find another one. These are dumb Albatross ferals BB&F Co. Put custom Ferrells on your stuff. That's all there, there you go.

Speaker 2:

Send your wedges to Greenlee.

Speaker 3:

Greenlee, I will gladly send them to you. I just need to find the shafts. Dude, what's the pink shaft? Whitney is playing on his driver. I have no idea. Hey Vic Sanchez in the house, Big old sandbagger Kidding bro.

Speaker 1:

Start duck hooking again.

Speaker 3:

You caused Matt a lot of drama.

Speaker 1:

So much fucking grief you son of a bitch. God, I just tried to have a peaceful Sunday sitting on the couch watching some football, hanging with the fam.

Speaker 3:

Vic, it's getting to the point. I can't stick up for you anymore, bro.

Speaker 1:

All I'm doing is fighting with people.

Speaker 2:

Everybody wants Vic out of his flight.

Speaker 1:

Next year, everybody else is going to decide how the league is ran, and I'm just going to play Jesus Christ, good God, you know, hey, and I've said this to everybody that has questioned it, I've played with Vic.

Speaker 2:

I have too, not lately 96, 97 any day.

Speaker 1:

But he'll also drop a 72, 74 any day he's been doing. Drop a 72-74 any day he's been doing it a lot lately. When his driver's on the guy is good.

Speaker 3:

No the thing is is he took his driver out of play. He plays a mini driver now, and he's bar none with one, sorry. No mini driver off the tee. He's bar none with it.

Speaker 2:

So are you saying Vic needs to be up in the diamonds?

Speaker 3:

No Mini driver off the tees, bar, none with it.

Speaker 2:

So are you saying Vic needs to?

Speaker 4:

be up in the diamonds no, Come on Vic.

Speaker 2:

Come on.

Speaker 3:

Vic Come on up bro.

Speaker 1:

He gets no strokes.

Speaker 3:

the next two events he's about to be a plus in the spades is what's going to happen? He's going to get bad strokes Come on.

Speaker 1:

Vic.

Speaker 2:

Come on to the back tee box.

Speaker 1:

That's what will happen. We'll put Vic there. He'll get plus four strokes and beat you guys and then I'll hear it all from you guys.

Speaker 2:

Hell, no, I'm going to go back and do this.

Speaker 3:

No, he gets plus in our division. No, he doesn't get plus in diamonds, he gets plus in our division. I've been sticking up for Victor a long time.

Speaker 1:

Dude.

Speaker 3:

I'm getting a little tired of it, Vic. So much unnecessary stress in my life I've seen him duck hook so many times, guess you ain't duck hooking much, no more dog.

Speaker 1:

I always tell the same story. It happened at Prim Valley. He was behind me and Alessandro and AG and I were tied with Vic and we had three holes left to go and he air mailed his tee shot from 15 into the 16 fairway and I was like, yes, and he made birdie. And that's when I was like, all right, vic can play it can play.

Speaker 3:

It can definitely play, hey, but that's the thing, dude. I mean even like chris from um torres fame always hits me up. He's like like how do you do, how do you deal with that? Because he gets hit up all the time, you know oh, I'm sure the tropicana guys love him but that's, I mean, that's every league, every league deals with it, like even like you even dealt with with me, you know like oh yeah you know, it just it's it's.

Speaker 3:

It's the way it is. Golf is a man. Sometimes you play good, sometimes you play very shitty. Most of the time you play shitty and then you play good once and you're like, oh, that fool's a sandbag.

Speaker 1:

I've learned anytime Vic wins, I just need to turn my phone off for 24 hours.

Speaker 3:

There you go, put your chanclas on and go eat some tacos.

Speaker 1:

Just respond to every message. If this is about Vic Chan says don't, don't at me, at me later. So yeah, All right. So hey, we got a bunch of people in the chat. Thank you so much for being here. You know we don't have a lot scheduled this week. There's not a whole lot going on. Like I said at the beginning of the show, there is. You know, Scotty Scheffler won shockingly again. Another uh arrow in the phil was wrong. Uh, about uh him not winning until the writer cup. Uh, he's done that five times five. Is it his fifth win this year?

Speaker 2:

six, yeah, six yeah just absolutely ridiculous.

Speaker 1:

Um, so congrats, scotty. Um, but I wanted to uh, you know, maybe maybe some of the people that are new that are listening don't know a lot about us and are, you know, a lot of them have come over from whatnot. Uh, they may not know a lot about us. So, uh, if anybody has any questions you have for us, throw, throw them out there. I was doing a little throwback tonight earlier, looking because Joe's always saying on what night? Hey, we've been doing the podcast for six years and I was like no, it hasn't been six years and I'm thinking it's only been like five, but you're right, it was six years and four months ago.

Speaker 1:

the very first episode was out. That was may 21st of 2019, so we're a pre-covid podcast yeah, those don't exist.

Speaker 3:

There's not many of those that exist not many of those out there.

Speaker 1:

There's a bunch post-covid or during covid but not pre-covid. Yeah, yeah, that's crazy. Then let's see on episode 48 is when Joe officially joined the show. He was on for three episodes prior to that. I think four episodes because we had when Roden and Brian.

Speaker 1:

Goff and Julian were all hanging out in the backyard for one night, but he did the Vegas rankings with me and then came on the show officially when ryan moved away. Yeah and uh then, and jeremy was even surprised at this uh, it was, it was only uh. Three months later, jeremy joined I thought it was like a year later yeah, jeremy thought it was like a year later was he on time for his first show.

Speaker 2:

Uh, probably he used to come up here.

Speaker 1:

He used to have to come up here and it was pre-recorded yeah, that's right yeah episode 48 was the beginning of the downfall that's where it all began, austin uh uh yeah, so september september 30th of 2020, when Jormie joined.

Speaker 3:

Austin, we have an email. The homie has an email in to Franchise Runzas in Las Vegas. I'll just say that go ahead.

Speaker 1:

Cliff, god bless him. And yeah, then. Episode 233 is when Mr Hodges joined the foursome. That was two years, one month and two days ago, wow. Jamar, I see you Almost five years, jeremy, almost five years.

Speaker 3:

These are so good.

Speaker 1:

I love these. Oh, I thought you were cheers. I'm sorry, no, we were, because.

Speaker 3:

Jeremy likes the topo chico, shout out topo chico you know almost, uh.

Speaker 1:

So six years and four months is how long we've been doing this, for which is insane if you think about it.

Speaker 3:

It's kind of wild. It really is. How old is theo? Yeah, theo is five and a half ish pre-theo that was. I mean, I remember like, yeah, I remember katie was gonna give birth to theo and I was like I think I played with you hardenbrook, and who else was it reed? At prim print at prim and I was like guys, this is in the end of my golf career they were gonna golf again, he thought. And we walked it, which was crazy.

Speaker 1:

We walked it. We walked yeah. Ryan left after 15 holes.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, because 15 coming into the yeah. And I was like that's my last round ever.

Speaker 4:

Then you played again. You played again with me at Cram Before.

Speaker 1:

Theo was born. That's the first time I met you guys.

Speaker 3:

And then I got abandoned.

Speaker 2:

Three times Cause of golf trips Every three months.

Speaker 4:

I played more golf after I had kids Than before Shut up my wife.

Speaker 1:

Shut up all the wives. All right, dan? Um, so yeah, if anybody's got any, any questions, throw them out there. You know, when we started doing this, uh, youtube live wasn't an option for us. We were just recording and then throwing them out there. But the guys would come up to the house and we'd all sit around a table and just shoot the shit and record it.

Speaker 1:

Crazy. So much, so much has changed since then. The remote side of this is awesome now, because now we can sit at home, we don't have to drive up to california to yeah yeah fucking arizona yeah and and come hang out um, so at least I get to see you guys. It was nice when you're here, but a lot of changes throughout the years. Uh, the the live thing we started doing. I have to look and see when that first live show was where we started doing them on tuesdays.

Speaker 3:

It's about a year and a half, I have to think well, when I'm doing it this way, I mean it sounds like episode 1000, like we're. We're like looking back at the days when we where we began. But when I started I was like like, if we're going to do this, we have to go. We have to have a day a time every single week and no exceptions. We got to be consistent.

Speaker 1:

And that's what was exciting for me, because that's what I wanted to do and Ryan was a busy man and just couldn't make that happen. So Joe came in at the perfect time because it was probably not gonna go much further than what it did.

Speaker 3:

um, but we had some good you can't record in like honda civics with a, like a audio recorder and just have a podcast that makes it. But hey, I appreciate all you guys. Ask her questions please.

Speaker 1:

Questions, questions, questions bring them, bring them on, bring them on.

Speaker 3:

It sounds like an episode 350 thing, but uh, hey, I got paint.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, take your driver out, get a mini we should talk about our history, each of our history of golf. That would be interesting oh, you do that I think we've done that. We've done that before I think a lot I mean a lot of there's new. There's new on right now, though I don't know will jeremy start what's?

Speaker 3:

what's how did you get involved in so jeremy was gonna sell me his landman red hat and he's like I'm kind of like dude I've heard.

Speaker 4:

I'll start it, I put it on. I put it on joy's, like that. Actually looks really good on you.

Speaker 3:

I think I'll text you so, yeah, my uh, my dad got me in the golf.

Speaker 4:

My, my whole. Yeah, my dad got me into golf. My whole side of my dad's family plays golf, so it's always. We've always, that's the thing we've always done. But I started when I was like two or three years old, just going out with my dad and then, off and on until I was a teenager, played in high school and then stopped playing altogether till like 2014 and then started up again and took it serious and tournaments and yeah, I mean it's been crazy.

Speaker 3:

Thinking back, what a story. Yeah, I mean, I've always been a tight list.

Speaker 4:

I've always been a titleist whore the whole the whole career until recently, until recently. Now I have like three titleist clubs in my bag. Great, that is pretty. So it's very diverse, it's true, and it's all the all blaming on you guys, because before I moved here and met you guys, my bag was very high list and there was no changing. There was nothing like that. There was no hitting on the, on the sims to get numbers and all that stuff and uh, so you guys have done all that damage to me. So now I'm a tinkerer, I try new brands, I find new, new thing, like new level irons, like who would ever thought that I would love new level irons? Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 4:

And a Callaway driver Utah.

Speaker 1:

Jeremy is not happy with Vegas. Jeremy.

Speaker 4:

No, and it's funny because some of my Utah friends every time you'll say something about Jeremy getting fitted for a Callaway driver, or Jeremy's playing new level irons, it's like he's not going to play that driver. He playing new level irons, it's like he's not gonna play that driver and he's only titleist. That's all he ever plays.

Speaker 3:

But yeah I, I would say that that's one of the great things and that's that's like a testament, right like. I feel like I mean, I don't want to tout us, but we've made you better in a way, right like.

Speaker 4:

I agree. I think I'm better than I've ever been currently. Sometimes my low score hasn't been for a long time, but overall, like with each club in my bag, I feel like I'm better than I've ever played.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, as Eric says, you're broadening your horizons, like do not be closed minded, like be open to the possibilities of other things and try things and figure it out. And that's what we always say play what works for you and you were, you were a loyalist to titleist, no issues with that. Got the desk caddy, yeah that's a, that's a skinny can koozie skinny, skinny, can koozies, but it's like you know, like don't be locked down to one thing, no, Did you see my post about Alex Noren's driver? Yes.

Speaker 1:

So he plays a Max D Benny Farrell's. Oh yeah, max D.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, I can't believe that yeah.

Speaker 1:

You know, at negative two is an eight degree, at nine degree head and he's playing it at seven degrees. But it's, it's a super draw by a super forgiving head and I was like just blew me away that a player of that caliber would have that head in their bag. But just goes to show you. You know, not everything is only for one type of swing or one type of player.

Speaker 3:

If you got it, you have to mess with shit to find out if something is going to get you what you want, you know get you that window that you want to see I I try and stop myself from saying things like this, but I'll say it like it's like there's hype around clubs and things and seven woods and zero torques and uh things like that. It's like it doesn't matter what the pros play. Okay, like scotty can play his shit, and uh, he can. That dude can play a max d fucking off the rack. Like what was that story three years ago where the dude played a ping that was off the rack and he's like I'm not, and and he was sponsored or he was a player, tour player. He's like no, this works for me, play what works for you. Okay, at the end of the day, play the shit that works for you and I will always. If you love a lab, if you love a spider zt, if you play 1970s uh, ben hogan's or persimmons, if that works for you to play that game, go.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, play what works for you boyd, I hope you enjoy hobble creek. That's my favorite place on earth where I'm sorry, hobble creek in springville, where I grew up. Yeah, if there was one place. I could play forever. That would be really high on the list, I thought landman was number one I mean, it's my favorite course, but if I'm gonna have to stay one course forever that I can play and I can walk it, I know that course like the back of my hand.

Speaker 1:

That's the place yeah that's the ditch for me. I'm just the ditch.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I was gonna say wow no, I just grew up.

Speaker 1:

I grew up by that course. So it's, it's, you know, got a little nostalgic nostalgic got a little place in the heart for me, so dan, I want to hear your story jordy going to hobble in a couple weeks.

Speaker 3:

Shout out, shout out, the flavor wizards in the house. I love to see it oh, here we go.

Speaker 1:

You got a question before dan gets to his. Do you guys have any big goals down the road regarding personal or show oriented? Uh, I mean it would be nice to get paid to do this, but you know we got to be better. Um, that would be fun. I, I would like. Uh, you know we got garson. We got garson on board with us right now. We love garson. It was a great deal we you have with them. Uh, would love to get some more brands that we love to represent involved in the show. This is a hobby for us. We're not trying to make a fortune doing this.

Speaker 3:

Joe Rogan money Joe Rogan money.

Speaker 1:

If we can cover the cost to put this show out and maybe get a perk here and there to help bring better content to you guys, absolutely that's a goal. More CDP merch Okay.

Speaker 3:

We'll get there. We'll get there.

Speaker 1:

I can make that happen. I can make that happen. We have a store. We do have a store. Yeah, there's not a lot of stuff in there right now. It's so finicky because what people want and what people like, and then they tell you they want it and then you put it in there right now. And it's so finicky because what, what people want and what people like, and then they tell you they want it and then you put it in there and nobody buys it. So, personally, um gosh, that's a. That's a big open-ended question. Um, in my personal life or my golf life. So personal life life I'm on this weight loss goal right now that I'm working on. That's me my golf life. I've actually played more consistent in the past year and a half than I have in a long time.

Speaker 2:

But well, that's me. He's got the title as bad as his koozie.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, there we go.

Speaker 1:

It's a skinny can koozie I sold mine perfect uh, I just want to. I just want to keep going with this consistent golf that I've been playing and and playing a little bit better, 8 am birdie juice joint.

Speaker 4:

I mean you guys, you're doing great with it, matt getting there it's kind of a long way in the last like oh it's, it's come a long way.

Speaker 1:

In the last, like oh it's come a long ways, you know I got to the you know, had a bad round of Coyote. It didn't get me down. I was more disappointed in my mental preparation. But you know I kind of fucked up and had the wrong time, and you know anybody that runs a golf league and then you have to go play in the golf league that you're running when shit hits the fan before you tee off.

Speaker 3:

It is not enjoyable is that david dues in it? Sorry, I think I might have missed that anyway. So, uh, long-term goals.

Speaker 3:

I was gonna say this, like what nothing uh, favorite favorite golf shoe brand true links where? But? Um, I think, I think, uh, I could say that. I mean, maybe I might be wrong, but speaking for the collective, I think the long-term goal for the podcast is educating new golfers to have fun, play well, respect the course, respect the people behind you, enjoy the moments of golf. Right, you guys are, a lot of new golfers are here and there is a huge world out there, like I'm talking about the entire world, like the golf world is still huge.

Speaker 3:

Connect with people that appreciate the game, because that's what I enjoy the most. I love connecting with people that truly love this game, because I truly do, and I know you guys truly love this game, because I truly do, and I know you guys truly love this game, whether you're a stat nerd, a gear nerd, a architecture nerd or you just got to get away to play some G with the homies. Connect with people. That's my goal. Connect with the people in this world that truly love this game, because it 100% is for real, my favorite thing to do and taking golf trips with the homies to land man or where, wherever it is.

Speaker 3:

You know what I mean. Like I want to. I want to connect with more people that love it the way that I do and are willing to play in the rain, willing to play in the 40 mile an hour winds, because that's, honestly, when you have the most fun, because score doesn't matter at the end of the day. Personally, that's my opinion, but I want to create experiences that I'll remember in the moments that when I'm on my deathbed, that I am like oh, you know that that ace on sheep, ranch number seven that Dan hit, I'll remember that for my entire life, like that's. That's the things, man.

Speaker 1:

Not mine, though, so Well we didn't't see it.

Speaker 3:

I saw that. We saw dan's going, I saw it. I saw it matt, it was very, it was dust, I mean. But I'll remember that as well, I'll remember that as well you know, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3:

it's like. It's like there's so many moments, you know like I'll probably remember that little chip ski inner on number 10 at Coyote for the rest of my life. Oh, I had new clubs. I had a little toe-down chip ski, open-faced, stand-up, 60-degree, and it would have blew past the hole but it went in and I made $150 off that. But it's like that's what it is for me. It's the moments.

Speaker 1:

I was going to hold half of his winnings because I've been trying to tell him for months to get into net skins and he's like nah, nah, nah. So he finally does it and he wins the net skins hey.

Speaker 3:

But hey, I didn't get into ctp. So yeah, and I'm glad I didn't who won ctp on that one, by the way?

Speaker 1:

uh, jason burnett, I believe it's a nine feet I think what a player. Yeah, fellow utah in, but so here, I'll, I'll, uh, let me bring up this. Share my screen. There it boom, there it is. It's up there. Guys see, we have one item. It's got the. Uh, it's up there. Guys See, we have one item. It's got the On the back side, it's the no Vowels.

Speaker 3:

I think what we need to do is make some of those and we'll sell them on the what Not Show.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, there, that's all the colors and sizes that are available. That's what it looks like on the back.

Speaker 3:

That's what we need to do. We need to get some of those and just sell them on the show. Well, not show 100% ring-spun cotton.

Speaker 1:

It says inspired by Hattie and Greens Does it really yeah, oh, okay, inspired by. Hattie and Greens.

Speaker 3:

Hey, also shout out the homie Melter Wave in Cambodia. He's not in Cambodia, I forget where he lives, but that's the designer. He does all my stuff and he did the chasing daylight podcast logo. So shout out, melter wave so we got one.

Speaker 1:

We got one item, but we also have some shirts that are whatnot exclusive, that you can only get on whatnot so, and ball markers yeah, so follow joe show for that stuff. So all right, let's hear your story um got started real young.

Speaker 2:

I was about three or four. My, my father and my grandfather got me swinging clubs and then they got me into junior golf. So I grew up playing junior golf all my life high school golf. Shortly after high school, uh decided to turn pro. I figured that was what I was gonna do and uh, um did the pat, did all that shit and then kind of got sidetracked with doing the pga portion, doing the golf shop stuff, and I just said, fuck it, I'm, I'm getting better at golf than I am wanting to be in the golf shop. So I was lucky enough to play in a few tournaments and get a get a little bit of a recognition through a sponsor and from there I was able to travel the country a little bit and play some mini tour events, did that for about three years and then reality set in and realized I needed to get a real job, because being a professional golfer on tour is very, very freaking hard to do. Um, very yeah.

Speaker 2:

So came back to vegas and uh just continued golfing and caddying and you know, still kind of, still kind of uh want to play um some big events. Um, I need to work on my game a little bit, but, uh, I definitely want to play some big events. I need to work on my game a little bit, but I definitely want to get in some USGA events, some mid-am events, some US Open qualifiers next year. Yes, yeah, I'm going to try. Definitely need to get better, because shooting a 75 or 76 at Coyote Spring is not going to do it.

Speaker 3:

Hang on, cut it.

Speaker 2:

But yeah, I still have a few goals for myself, golf-wise Personal goals. Continuing on getting healthier I'm currently down about almost 65 pounds from the start of the year. That's impressive. So yeah, other than that, just kind of work on getting healthier and get more fit, and hopefully that will translate into getting my golf swing better and uh can continue, uh, playing this game I love yeah, did you see your youtube hater I did not know you're.

Speaker 1:

You're a pretty average, below average golfer according to your youtube right on my god man, uh no, you, just you hit this beautiful cut off the tee at coyote that I shared and sliced it. Sliced it oh, that was jeremy's one. Yeah, but, dan comment, I mean you just hit this beautiful cut over the left corner, right in the middle of the fairway. You look like a below average golfer to me.

Speaker 2:

I do look like a below average golfer. I do dress kind of shabby out there Shabby, shabby, shabby golfer. You want to see the game? Bring your ass out to the course and we'll see. Let's go.

Speaker 1:

There you go. Yeah, let's go, there you go. Oh Joe, what do you?

Speaker 3:

We can Ready.

Speaker 1:

Are we good for it? Are we ready?

Speaker 3:

Give me like an intro song.

Speaker 1:

Hang on, I got it right here.

Speaker 3:

It all started as a young child in Germany, in Germany, in Germany. So, okay, when I was a kid, my dad played golf. He bought me a set of dance hands. I used to play. My dad used to play golf. He never broke 80. And I'll always remember the day when I called him. I said, hey, I shot a 79. He's like dope. I never did that, but I used to play when I was a kid with my uncle and my dad and my cousin and there was a ravine at angel park, number 17. Palm chorus could never clear it because I had shitty ass big five clubs and my uncle had a big bertha, uh, driver three wood. Whatever he handed me. I cleared the ravine first time and I was like dad I need new clubs.

Speaker 3:

He's like, no, you're good with what you have. And then I I didn't play again until I was 33, I think whoa uh, because this is the. You know what I mean. So it's 20 years later, yeah exactly. That's 100% what it is, it's exactly what it is.

Speaker 3:

I was like Dad, if you're not going to give me the tools to do it, then hey, what's the point? You know what I mean? It's like play what works for you. That one worked for me, it didn't work for me, the others didn't work for me. So, hey, what am I going to do this for? Always enjoyed riding the cart. I have. You should do it Absolutely.

Speaker 1:

I still hold that I really took that no and held a grudge.

Speaker 3:

What could have been?

Speaker 1:

guys.

Speaker 3:

What could have been you?

Speaker 3:

never, know, you never know, dan could have been my physio. Uh, you know, jeremy could have been my putting coach, matt could have been my fitter I'm kidding, but um, yeah, it took a long time and I worked with the guy and top golf was a big thing, big, big, big big thing, and I was like he's like, let's go. So I went, I went to a birthday party, started hitting balls, slicing everything, straight up into Swenson Ave and I liked it, went to go play with him and I'll never forget the shot, that, that, that, that that got me Desert Willow, desert Willow, number six to nine, I think, over water to five feet. That's the shot Hooked, hooked. Everybody's got that shot Hooks you. And uh, yeah, it's been full throttle ever since.

Speaker 3:

Love this game, love all the people I've met because of it. I feel like I am a better person because of golf and uh, yeah, I went to met any of you guys and you guys are my best friends. And it's like, just because of golf, you know, it's, it's wild, like it's amazing that the amount of people I know, like in different areas also, instagram, instagram connects you with other people that it's just crazy, man, it's the, it's the best. And, uh, I broke par one time. I got really good and I was like I found myself fighting to break par every time and ever since then I was like fuck that, I want to enjoy my time out here because we don't get to play golf all the time.

Speaker 3:

You know like if you're a cyclist, you get on your bike at night, go, go ride your cycle, go do what you want. If you're a painter, you can do it at home, but if the lights aren't on or the sun's not out, you can't play golf. And it's my favorite shit in the world. And then I we took the golf trip, me and Matt went to abandoned abandoned solstice. That was like my first real golf trip and, uh, it's the best go experience the world. I never went anywhere. I think the only place I've ever been was California and Tijuana, and I've seen more of TJ baby when I was five.

Speaker 1:

When you were five. When you were five.

Speaker 3:

My uncle was in the Navy. They lived in San Diego, but it's like Golf has. That's a high school rite of passage in the navy. So it was like they. They lived in san diego, but it's like hell yeah, golf has uh like that's a high school rite of passage, but five no, yeah, it was five or six.

Speaker 3:

I mean this is back in what? 1991, 92, somewhere around there, um. But it's like golf will open so many doors for you and I appreciate the game so much because it's brought me to so many dope people, it's given me so many experiences, it's showed me so much more of the great country of the United States of America I never would have ever in my life imagined I'd be in Nebraska. And it's all because of golf and I appreciate every shot I get to hit and I appreciate every moment, every shot I get to hit and good or bad, triple bogey, birdie, eagle, quad, bogey, pickup, whatever it is, I just love being out there because it's given me so much. And I know they always say you'll never be able to repay the game, but game's given me so much and it's given me you guys, and I'm crying, you're crying it's so funny, the on on six.

Speaker 1:

I made that that putt. That just ended up in a absolutely horrible spot. And I know andrew and chris know we're friends but I don't think they know how close we are. Joe goes, nice putt. They were like nice friend you have there.

Speaker 3:

Yeah Well, Andrew was like I know that's one of those things, bro. Your good friends will talk shit to you always.

Speaker 1:

Oh, absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker 3:

That's because of golf shout out the game of golf great game ever created.

Speaker 4:

That was the shit.

Speaker 2:

Follow the bookmark shows that's funny that you mentioned instagram, though, joe, because, like, literally, that's the only reason why I even met matt you know, right, yeah yeah, the vgm, or even to knowing you guys, just following his Breakfast Ball account and seeing the tournament at Paiute what was it called?

Speaker 3:

again Legends, legends.

Speaker 2:

Never Die yeah.

Speaker 3:

The Hidden Green started because I was trying to post pictures of the golf courses and the conditions they were in. Every time I would play it, post pictures so you could see what the greens or fairways looked like, and then I would tag it with vegas. And then matt found me because he was a social media sniper just trying to grow the breakfast ball golf, uh, blog and uh, and then we met at shriners.

Speaker 3:

but Instagram has helped golf communities form, which is so cool. It totally does, and that's why I don't even go on. I haven't been on my personal Instagram in six years. I haven't even been on Facebook in six years. My golf page Instagram is curated to hip-hop, golf and the occasional twerk situation.

Speaker 1:

Zero, twerk, twerk, twerk. Did you say twerk?

Speaker 2:

Zero twerk, twerking. Got new title as driver and fucking ass cheeks.

Speaker 3:

Zero twerk. I'm trying to get zero twerk, I mean nobody can escape it, nobody can escape it it's impossible.

Speaker 1:

Oh, alright, so my story. It's a long one, but I'll condense it down. I started playing golf when I was young. My granddad used to take me when he would play and ride in the cart. I never got to play, but I got to be out there with him and just being outside and seeing the different courses and seeing the being out in the air and seeing the animals on the course, it was just always something that I wanted to do. And seeing the animals on the course, it was just always something that I wanted to do.

Speaker 1:

As I got older, my friends in middle school and high school played golf, and I'm a natural lefty and I wanted to play golf with them. But I didn't have any clubs, so I had to swing right-handed if I wanted to play. So we used to. We used to ride our bikes down to um the ditch back then it was called desert Rose, uh, and you know they'd let us walk for three bucks, and so that's how I played I, that's how I was introduced to the game and and that's uh, you know I never took lessons or anything. My dad was a big baseball guy and I'm like, hey, will you buy me some golf clubs. He's like nope, not happening. So never really had any new equipment. Had some of my granddad's old Nicholas Persimmons clubs that we'd mess around with. But once I got a job and I was making money I bought some left-handed clubs the Prima or the Kenworth or something I can't remember what they're called but, they sold them at Sports Authority.

Speaker 1:

You could buy individual clubs left-handed, and so I bought a driver, some irons putter and played left-handed for a little while. But I was hitting the ball better right-handed, so went, started playing right-handed again. Uh, and then life, career, work, all happened and didn't really play, except for the occasional hey buddies were going out to go play, bachelor party gonna go play type situation, um, and then when most of my, my good friend, pat, moved away, and when he'd come back in town we'd go play with some of the guys we all grew up with and they always had side bets, always had side bets, and I was like I suck, you know. So after one year playing with them, I was like man, I really want to get in those games. I gotta get better at golf. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna take this serious. I the photography thing was kind of going away.

Speaker 1:

I found bloggercom because blogs were just 2008, 2009, I think it was, yeah, um, and so I I created, uh, the breakfast ball. My, my buddy, randy, is a big. Every time we play, he's like I, he's like I'm taking a breakfast ball, I'm taking a breakfast ball. And so I called it the breakfast ball and just started writing. That landed me after doing that for a while. That landed me some opportunities to write for some review sites. That really gave me a lot of golf insider knowledge about how product works. And you know I went to the PGA show and and the guy that ran, uh, three guys golf still consider a friend and a mentor. He helped me so much learn about seo and and uh, creating websites and and how to properly reach and talk to brands.

Speaker 1:

Um, but one thing that really set me back and it's it's funny to hear me say this now because I do switch stuff quite a bit, but testing equipment for reviews is not a great way to enhance a golf game. Some things just are not for you, but you got to play it if you want to do an honest review about things. And then, when Three Guys Golf kind of went in a different direction and I wanted to go in a different direction, I started turning the Breakfast Ball into a review site, did that for a while and you know that's how I met you guys through a lot of that and uh, I just want to say hi and thank you boys, thank you, tradition maddie, appreciate you. Uh, it's my passion for golf has just taken off from there. Uh started the podcast with ryan, the Vegas Golf Network. After that, covid got me into building clubs because I went into Golf Galaxy to get new grips and they told me it was going to be a week and a half and I was like not happening.

Speaker 1:

So just Ryan had some club gear so he let me borrow some stuff until I got my own and just have been teaching myself that side of it. I love the club building aspect. I wish I had all the fancy tools that all the great club builders have, because it does make it a little bit easier. But I think I'm doing pretty good with the club building stuff and the VGN sprouted from all that. My life is encapsulated in the golf game, with the podcast, the blog, the VGN playing with you guys now fitting for Callaway, doing fittings for Callaway. It's been a whirlwind of golf. So what are you grinning at?

Speaker 3:

crazy uh, austin said, right on the shitter, shout out tradition golf. Go follow that man, let's go the next golf trip oh man, there's so many on the list. There's so many on the list it's it's hard my number one is still gamble sands.

Speaker 1:

Right now I want to get to gamble sands and I want to get to wisconsin those. Those are two really big spots that I want to get to with everybody I would say that my number one is sand valley, no question yeah yeah, no question, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4:

Valley. I just want to go to Landman with Dan, I do kind of want to go to.

Speaker 3:

I do. I mean, that is up there and Bob and Trey.

Speaker 1:

I would love to see Bob at Landman, you guys were talking about it and I was like man, I just went. I don't know if I want to go back, but I was like you know it would be a completely different experience this time, because we wouldn't do the same thing. The only same thing we would do is landmine, you know, because there's other things that we can do. You know there's other places we can play, that we can go a different direction. You know we can go east from Nebraska instead of west. So there's all kinds of different things that we could do.

Speaker 3:

So yeah, we could go play one of your favorite courses is prairie dunes.

Speaker 4:

Very, it's, it's very close. You know prairie dunes, top 100, the one that you always prairie club, dunes, the dunes club.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I thought we were going to. Yeah, the one you thought we were going to yeah, is that in kansas?

Speaker 1:

it's in kansas. That's in the middle of nowhere as well all good, matt I'm a real volleyball player

Speaker 3:

I'm a real, what not her?

Speaker 1:

uh, short people's asses and beach volleyball. That's hilarious no and if you guys don't love the short people of tradition golf, either like go back listen to that episode go follow tradition Tradition Golf on Instagram. We had him on a show recently and we were in Alabama, austin says east of Nebraska takes you to Iowa. Stay away from that place.

Speaker 3:

Dude, the res, the res. That's so funny. I would love to take Dude. I want to play Bally Neal, so bad Shout out Tom Jones.

Speaker 1:

It looks amazing. So many places to go, so many places to go.

Speaker 3:

That's the thing, bro. I call golf the never-ending quest. You'll never play all the golf courses in the entire world like it's not possible. And that's what's so cool about it. It's like a real life quest. To just just throw everything in your pocket, like you know, like I collect logo balls and I I don know what I'm going to do with all these. They're overflowing, my balls are overflowing and it's just crazy. But it's like it's the never-ending quest. They're overflowing, bro. My balls are overflowing.

Speaker 2:

It's a family show, joe, yeah.

Speaker 3:

But I just want to. I just want to figure out what to do with.

Speaker 1:

I just want to figure out what to do with all of them, you know think about this right, because this is something that I've been trying to get my mom to understand is think about theo, when, when you're you're old and in the home and you're like here's my logo golf ball collection son, here you go and what do you think he's going to do with it.

Speaker 3:

He's going to be like this shit is dope as fuck because Theo does love golf, he's going to take it to Goodwill and someone's going to sell it on whatnot I mean really, you guys are correct I know I know that, I know you guys are right, but like it's just one of those things, bro, it's like the, the golf balls are a check mark for me, like I've been there, I played that and don't mean shit, doesn't matter, it's a fucking golf ball, it's a pinnacle with a logo and like who cares at the end of the day?

Speaker 1:

I know this answer because we've gone on so many golf trips together with everybody. But what for the listeners out there, what is something that if you go to a golf course, you have to get a new golf course? I know, joe, you're the logo ball. I used to do poker chips, but not every course does poker chips. Is there something that you guys like you have to? If you go to a place, you're leaving with this no matter what here.

Speaker 3:

Here's my thing, though. So like I don't even want these logo balls, I don't want them. But when I started playing golf, my buddy was like, hey, you should get like we should get logo balls at each place we go to. I was like, yeah, you're right.

Speaker 1:

To signify. We were there to check it off the list, and what would you get? Five, 10, 20.

Speaker 3:

But now you got like I started doing it and I'm like, fuck, I wish I would have just done the pencils man. Like pencils are free, pencils are easy to display, and I wish I did that. Pencils are easy to display and, uh, I wish I did that. So now I gotta come up with a fucking epoxy coffee table or some shit, you know, just to cement them in my legacy you need to figure out a way where you can display your balls on the wall.

Speaker 3:

Joe, exactly, yeah so everybody well a lot of them are displayed right there, everybody can enjoy your balls yeah, so you can see most of them right there, right, but there's a box right here with about 40 more, and it's like I never even imagined I would play more than 60 golf courses in my life, you know, and that's what's so cool about the game like send them to coach kane. He'll make bottle openers for you see, but then you got to store 120 ballpark. Uh, bottle bottle openers.

Speaker 3:

You know like I want to hang them on the wall I want to be able to trust somebody to cut them in half and create like an epoxy golf table, but like I don't know, we gotta trust somebody. We could do that, that's easy. I got a bandsaw.

Speaker 2:

I got a bandsaw at work, just slide them right through, yeah, but but you gotta, you gotta cut them perfectly, perfectly I will be 90 degrees I will sanding this for and I will. It'd be's so many golf balls.

Speaker 3:

Tradition, Golf says Squire Creek and Chasing Daylight this fall. Can you make it happen?

Speaker 1:

Can you make that?

Speaker 4:

happen, he can.

Speaker 1:

Say less.

Speaker 4:

I think so yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, if there's. Direct flights.

Speaker 3:

I definitely can. A little two-dayer. I could do a two-dayer probably. I got to go to Maryland in like two weeks I got to go to New York in a couple weeks.

Speaker 3:

Also Matt Tradition, Matt Burning Tree. Let me know, Text me, I'll be right there. One of the greatest logos in the world. Burning Tree logo is so fire. He just wants to play it so he can wear a shirt. Exactly, I have a shirt. I need to figure it out. I need to figure out how to do that so I can wear it. I don't wear logos If I haven't played it. All the stuff I've bought from tradition golfer, like sitting right here just waiting to play it I'm just waiting to play the golf course I can wear it.

Speaker 1:

I know.

Speaker 3:

I know it is. That's. That's a I know, I know.

Speaker 1:

Here. Let's do this. Let's draw the the winner for this. Let me bring that up, Pull it up over here, so I can do it separately.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, we do, we need to go. We should go to dallas and go visit eric and then we can all go get fit at artisan for wedges that sounds like a great idea.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 3:

Speaker 1:

Dude, you have to experience this.

Speaker 2:

You got like a 38-inch putter coming. No, no, no.

Speaker 1:

I've been messing me and Julian have been messing with some stuff.

Speaker 3:

Belly boys, belly boys.

Speaker 1:

I was talking with Roars about this earlier. I think there's more to just counterbalancing than having a long grip on a putter and uh-oh, I just got a text message from Boyd to just counterbalancing than having a long grip on a putter. Uh-oh, I just got a text message from Boyd, uh-oh, oh, okay, never mind, unrelated.

Speaker 3:

You may want to put my laminate on.

Speaker 1:

And I've been messing with it on the jailbird, and it's a trip. It's a trip. I'll have it Sunday at Coyote. You'll be able to tell Dan, you'll see what I'm talking about. It's very interesting, to say the least.

Speaker 2:

I might have a different putter in the bag for Coyote too. I'm not going away from my gamer. My gamer is going putter in the bag for Coyote too. Ooh, ooh.

Speaker 1:

I'm not going away.

Speaker 2:

I'm not going away from my gamer. My gamer's going to be in my bag for every tournament. But I've got you know a few putter purchases from whatnot, so I've got some to choose.

Speaker 3:

I know what you mean. That's what's so funny about whatnot. Like I like to try the clubs out first, so like I've had 20 clubs in my bag at one point just to try things out on the course. I had two putters this weekend. I did not use the other one. Thankfully there is no rules official out there. Hey, you got.

Speaker 1:

I started needing to do bag checks. What the fuck.

Speaker 3:

Joe, that's what I'm saying. I didn't use it.

Speaker 2:

I didn't use it. That's what I'm saying. Dq.

Speaker 3:

Send me the money back. I didn't use it, but it's like that's what's cool, it doesn't matter, I didn't use it at all it was just in my bag.

Speaker 2:

I shot 76, Matty. It didn't play very well.

Speaker 3:

Coyote, though I try and use it on the green, how am I going to take my other putter back?

Speaker 1:

If I didn? And I try and use it on the green like how am I going to?

Speaker 3:

take my other putter is 24 inches guys. It is not, he's a midgie. It is not 34. Every time he hands me a club he's like hey, try this out, see what you think I'm like. This feels like it's a Toothpick.

Speaker 4:

No thanks, frodo.

Speaker 1:

Frodo, so short, it's only a half inch shorter, I'm like a half inch makes a big difference, y'all.

Speaker 3:

No thanks, frodo. Frodo, that's so short and he's like it's only a half inch shorter. I'm like a half inch makes a big difference, y'all.

Speaker 4:

The thing is it's 34 inches right, but it's so flat that it feels like 30.

Speaker 1:

Exactly. That's what's different about it. It's so flat. Yeah yeah, all right, too funny. Wrap this up, joe, let's get the hell out of here you guys, thank you.
