350: Milestone Roundtable On Golf’s Wild Week

CHASING DAYLIGHT

Send us a text

A milestone show with real meat on the bone: we toast 350 and dive headfirst into the most interesting week golf has seen in a while. We start on home turf—Boulder Creek running lightning fast, Legacy’s greens turning to velvet, and the eternal enemy of good golf: slow play. With new GPS carts, engaged marshals, and some tough love for multi-tee offenders, we break down how a course can nudge pace back to enjoyable without alienating players.

Then we head to the Internet Invitational, a rare YouTube series that earns the hype. The magic isn’t perfect golf; it’s format and edit. Scramble into alternate shot, teams reshuffled, real stakes, and enough personality to make you care without drowning in forced drama. We unpack what worked, what seemed manufactured, and why structure beats spectacle if creator golf wants staying power.

Gearheads get their segment too. We debate Scotty Cameron’s “low torque” designs—one thoughtful, one looking suspiciously like a welded workaround—and contrast them with Odyssey’s tech-forward ZT lineup. Forward CG, tungsten-heavy fronts, and AI-informed faces promise straighter starts and better energy transfer. But we ask the only question that matters on a putting green: does it help you start the ball on line at your speed, more often, under pressure?

Finally, the big shift: LIV moving to 72 holes. No rule-bending here; they met the OWGR standard. That’s a step toward legitimacy, not a cure-all. Shotgun starts still confuse viewers, team branding still lacks soul, and broadcasts still need a cleaner story. The upside? More meaningful leaderboards and a path to points. The downside? Fans still get split fields when they want the best playing the best more often.

Tap play to hear the whole ride—course intel, creator golf that’s actually smart, honest gear talk, and what LIV’s pivot really means. If you enjoy the show, share it with a golf friend, hit subscribe, and drop your take: Which putter tech would you trust, and are you watching more or less now that LIV is 72 holes?

SPEAKER_01:

SPEAKER_04:

Guys would have done it and Dan to celebrate. For those of you tuning in live on YouTube, look at the backdrop from this guy. I mean, come on. Look at this. It's gorgeous.

SPEAKER_01:

Full champion mode.

SPEAKER_04:

Look at that.

SPEAKER_00:

Trophy. All it is is VGN trophy. Trophy boys.

SPEAKER_04:

Trophy boys.

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, it's all cleaning trophy boys.

SPEAKER_04:

Many, many trophy boys right there from Dan.

SPEAKER_01:

Scotty Cam Grip. Signed hat. Who signed that hat?

SPEAKER_02:

That is the hat from Arizona. Um, Bob and I put Trey and Glenn. And the vet is a hat. And I remember the right. We had a right and date that they lost to us. That's awesome. So every time Trey checks in, he has he gets a little reminder.

SPEAKER_04:

I got a couple people joining us live in the chat. Thank you so much for being here. First thing you do when you hop in the chat, hit that like button, please. Hit that like button. It don't cost a thing. Help us out, help us out, help us out. Uh so uh we got we got so much to talk about tonight. It's it's nice having some news in the golf space. Uh there's a lot going on. Uh so the internet invitational is blowing up. Uh that has been I've actually enjoyed it, and I never thought I would enjoy watching YouTube golfers play golf, but it's been a hell of a fun time watching that. Um Scotty Cameron came out with a new uh new putter uh that's uh you know the zero torque way things are going. Uh LiveGolf has decided fuck it, let's do 72 hauls now. Um they're garnering for world ranking points. Um so we can chat about that. Uh Jeremy and I played Legacy today. It's in fantastic shape. Really, really happy with what they're going they got going on there. Played Lexington earlier in the week. Uh Joe and Dan were out at Boulder Creek. Uh, so you guys can talk about that. We got the VGN finals coming up in 11 days.

SPEAKER_02:

By who Joe beat me straight up, first off. Yeah, right. Who would have thought? And then uh we did a three versus one, those three guys against me, and I was down the first five or six holes. It was yeah, it was five or six holes. That was five down five five down after five. I started off shooting six, I was seven over after the first six holes with three lost balls. That's how that's how my round started. Wow.

SPEAKER_01:

Wow, why can't you save that for the finals?

SPEAKER_04:

Uh, and then a whole bunch of uh new equipment's hitting the conformity list for USGA, and people are going gaga over that. So uh lots to talk about. What do you guys want to get into? Well, you know, first hang on a second, before we do anything, let's give uh a little bit of love to Garson. Garson Golf is one of our sponsors of the show. Please use our code Daylight15, save yourself some money and check out some of the best putting grips on the market, if not the best putting grip on the market. Use our code, save some money. Sum up.

SPEAKER_01:

It is the best.

SPEAKER_04:

That's why I just I corrected myself. So we'll leave that up for everybody uh to to write it down, jot it down. There's links in the show notes, everything you need to do. Um, some still, some cool stuff coming up from Garzon here shortly. So keep your eyes out for that. All right, so what would you guys like to get into first?

SPEAKER_02:

Go, Dan. I want to hear about Boulder Creek. I thought Dan. Oh, you want to hear about Boulder Creek? All right, yeah. Well, Boulder Creek is in fantastic shape. The Greens are fucking lightning fast right now. They're great. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

Um, oh Jeremy played out there earlier than the week too. So yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

And yeah, here's got my ass whooped right away, right out the gate. Um, Joe played really good. Joe played great. Uh out of nowhere. Joe was flagging everything. Like his ball was not far off the flags on to in his approach to the green. So that was a lot of fun to watch. Um made two bombs from like well, the first off, first hole, he had like a 30-footer bomb. Um that's one down right away. And then later, I think it was uh our 16th or 7th hole or something like that. He had another maybe 35, 40 footer bomb and pulled out a couple times.

SPEAKER_01:

We were rolling the rock, shut on shout out, Roars, as always.

SPEAKER_04:

Still rolling it, huh?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, that's what I did. That's what I Joe played great. Yeah, I think that's one of those things, though. It's like I mean, I haven't played in three months, so it was one of those things where it was just like I haven't played since 22. I did not expect anything, you know. Like I I I mean, like, I mean it and it was what what I really loved about I've been playing tournament rounds mostly, right? All year, you know, with with uh rounds speckled in here and there, but it was it was cool to just be out there and like not worry and just have fun and like totally let loose. And uh yeah, right off the bat, uh I made birdie on the first one. I was like, fuck, did not see that coming. And then you know, I think I think I shot three or four over. I didn't keep score, but I yeah, I would say about that. You have four or five birdies and didn't have any bogies, which is absolutely crazy. I had one double and then like four or five birdies. So who'd you guys play with the golf homie? Golf homie and someone else, and a co-worker, yeah. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_03:

Cool, cabin.

SPEAKER_01:

What up, kill? What a birdie in a can in the house. Let's go. Yeah, but yeah, dude, Boulder Creek is fantastic.

SPEAKER_04:

I mean did you do uh hawk and run?

SPEAKER_01:

Uh hawk was an eldo.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, and it was in good shape.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, yeah. Eldo Eldo's great. Oh yeah, they're excellent. Fairways are so smooth. I mean, anyone coming to Vegas, like we always we always recommend Boulder Creek, Pai, or Coyote Springs, and you know, still stands true after today as well. Firm, fast, greens are rolling great. I mean greens are rolling really good.

SPEAKER_04:

We'll have our first major of the year for next season at uh Boulder Creek. So you can't go wrong there. Yeah, so that'll be nice. All right, so uh Legacy, Jeremy and I were at Legacy today with uh Jeremy's Pops and Stevie Jacks. Happy birthday, Mr. Jackson.

SPEAKER_01:

Yep, oh Stevie Jackson's birthday. Damn, yeah. I wish I could have delivered on that. Oh, Stevie Jacks, I wish I could have delivered for you.

SPEAKER_04:

That the the birthday round for him, uh Legacy, it's getting better. It's getting better. Yeah, like just like the greens are getting so much better. And when the weather cools down here next week, hopefully, uh, well, not hopefully, I love it right now. It's absolutely stunning outside. Uh, it's uh it's gonna be really, really good. So they've done a great job. Um, you can tell how much the the irrigation systems has changed. Uh, even the 13th green, which is arguably one of the worst greens out there that they've had problems with, looked fantastic. It was like putting on velvet. And and they have the back box on 13 that's across the kit, so you have to hit over the cavern. Uh it's not the straight box, yeah. The back, because there's the black one that's by that palm tree, but then to the left of that one, they they've opened up that box, and that's where they have the blue tees. So there's no longer three T's on that one box and it just getting destroyed. Yeah, it's just the white T's now. They have the blue T's on that back box, and that was fun because for me, I got the hit driver, uh, you know, from back there, and and it really made it a fun hole. Um, so kudos, kudos to them for the work they're doing.

SPEAKER_01:

Yep, yeah. Shout out Velvet Greens at Legacy. Good to hear. Yeah, they're getting dude, they're actually rolling their they're decently quick.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, and it was it wasn't like stopping and coming back to you like it was at the tournament.

SPEAKER_01:

So so you played Jeremy today? Yeah, you played today, yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, it was me, uh Stevie Jacks, Jeremy, and his dad.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, and it was so slow though. My gosh. Uh for Tuesday afternoon round, it was so slow.

SPEAKER_04:

And and they have uh a new they have GPS on the carts now. Oh what's it called? Golf tracker, uh Marshall, something I can't remember. So yeah, it was nice though. It's it's pretty nice, uh, a little glitchy because I think it's new and they're still learning a couple things. The the distances sometimes were off, but it was nice. It told you your pace, it showed where the carts were in front of you. Um, and there was a group not ahead of us, not ahead of them, but the group ahead of that one. So two groups ahead of us, uh three groups. The third group ahead of us was like terribly slow. They were a hole and a half behind. Um, and we even, as we were coming off the practice range, we heard them complaining about that group already that they took too long in the first hole. And so they're gonna say something to him. They uh Trey was out there, he came out to chat with us, and he told them Trey's back from the Philippines. No, different Trey. Trey at least. I know. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Come on, dude. He told that group to skip the 10th hole. He's like, You're playing too slow, good skip the 10th hole, go to the election. Which we were like, fuck yes, it's about time. Yeah, and and then slow, do not play slow. And then they were already they were already backed up by the time we got to to 13, it was already backed up again and just took forever.

SPEAKER_01:

So payment failed in the house. Let's go. Shout out to you, Austin. Appreciate you, homie. Enjoy tomorrow's episode.

SPEAKER_04:

Nice. Payment failed. Awesome. Thank you, sir. Thank you, sir. Thanks for listening. Hit that like button before you leave. Thank you. Um, so uh yeah, it it we played the front in 210, and we played the back in three.

SPEAKER_01:

So three three hours, yeah. Yeah, it got it got fast. Damn, it took longer, like we would play the hole faster than we waited to play the hole.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, we would play the hole and then wait, and the wait to play the next hole was longer than it took us to play the previous hole.

SPEAKER_01:

That's brutal, man. Yeah, yeah. So yeah, but it wasn't.

SPEAKER_04:

I mean, they were trying, they were trying, they just the course was trying, the players weren't trying. Yeah, the marshals told the marshall said he told the guy, look, that's the last time you're hitting three balls off the tee. Stop it. And uh oh wow, yeah, that was going on. Oh fuck.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, if you're playing slow, do not take two off the tee, drop it by your homie, drop it where you went out, fucking pick it up. Okay, easy said and done. Don't don't fucking be one of those guys doozing it all around the place. Just do it and then does it.

SPEAKER_04:

Uh, this is the worst right here. Hate what time change does to golf. Yes, yes, it's dark at 4 30 now. It's lame. I hate it. Yep. You need to figure out a way to just, hey, when the sun goes down, that's eight o'clock. End of story. Yeah, that's eight p.m. when the sun goes down.

SPEAKER_00:

No, you can't you can't do you can't do that.

SPEAKER_04:

Yes, yes, no, you cannot.

SPEAKER_00:

No, if I get elected, you would change the time if I get elected based on the sun's rotation.

SPEAKER_04:

When you can't see the sun, it drops out of the sky, that's eight p.m.

SPEAKER_01:

Not 7 49. Like we're gonna we gotta have sun dials. We gotta have sun dials. It's eight p.m. Everybody get a sun dial. 8 p.m. That's it.

SPEAKER_00:

Sun rises at who cares. 8 p.m.

SPEAKER_04:

That's how we know you gotta be at work till 8. Sun goes down, then you can leave.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I don't think that'll work.

SPEAKER_04:

I don't think that'll work. That's in my golf, my my uh when I'm the commissioner of golf. Yes, eight o'clock.

SPEAKER_00:

Nothing else matters, nothing else matters, just it goes down at eight every day.

SPEAKER_04:

Oh, it's terrible. We got done playing, and it's sun's coming up at 10 a.m.

SPEAKER_01:

message.

SPEAKER_04:

It was a five-hour round, so it took long, and then for some reason there was like massive traffic today. It took me forever to get home. It took normally takes me 20 20 minutes to get to legacy, it took me 45 minutes to get home, and then I had to go to the grocery store afterwards, get down to the grocery store, and it's dark. I'm like, what the hell?

SPEAKER_01:

I I played golf at 10 and I'm done and it's dark. I'll tell you what. We I mean we teed off at 11:46, we finished at 410, maybe. Yeah, right. And then we took JP and TJ uh to their hotel on the strip, which is absolutely fucked. Don't go to the strip. F1 is coming.

SPEAKER_04:

F1 SEMA.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, yeah, no, dude. We dropped them off at dark. I don't drive in the dark anymore, very rarely. And I was like, what am I doing up so late? And it's only 5 15. And I'm like, Yeah, that anti-glare coating on the glasses.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, yeah, it was crazy. I don't like it, I don't like it at all.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, it's traffic is fucked down there right now, especially with all this bad with all those F1 bullshit.

SPEAKER_04:

Oh, and then you got the Knights have a game tonight, the Rebels have a game tonight. There's so much stuff going down on the strip. Just stop. Are you an old man, Joe?

SPEAKER_01:

I'm getting there, I am definitely getting there. I like I want to be at my house at 5 p.m. And if if it's past 5 p.m., I'm like, it's getting too late. Like, I want to be home by home by 5 p.m. Like every like it's it's so weird, like, and it's you guys I might be getting more OCD. I might be getting more OCD than old.

SPEAKER_04:

Honestly, you guys used to make fun of me. I say I don't like going north of Tropicana, but you're you're starting to get there, you're getting old.

SPEAKER_00:

At night, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

I want to be inside. Well, it's just it's just grown beyond its limits. That's one of the things that really sucks. And our infrastructure in in the city is just not developed with the influx, so no, but the the eight billion dollar train is gonna help.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, it's gonna be gonna help.

SPEAKER_04:

Can't wait for the eight billion dollar train to save our problems.

SPEAKER_01:

I do have a question for you. Have you guys ever heard the um hey geordy's in the house? Shout out, Geordie. Have you ever heard anyone call UNLV unlove?

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, of course.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, okay. All right, I I just heard someone say that for the first time in my life, and I've said it before, but so UNLV, unlove. Yeah, no, I know. I I've just said it. I've never heard any of it.

SPEAKER_04:

All right, we're good. Move on. Yeah, the Vegas to LA transformation is real, sadly. Sadly, it is true.

SPEAKER_01:

The egg salad sando backbreaker geordy in the house. That's the homie. I need to get my Divot Store shirt from you.

SPEAKER_04:

Hey, uh, so who did you guys all watch the invitational, the internet invitational so far?

SPEAKER_01:

I didn't finish it. Watched like the first hour of the first episode, but that's it. I got like 20 minutes of the third episode left.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, it's uh Boyd's in the house. What's up, Boydy?

SPEAKER_01:

Shut up, Boyd. What's up, Matt? Shut up, Matt Boyd. Given giving Matt shit all the time. Love it, love to see it, Boyd.

SPEAKER_04:

Boyd will probably win the drawing tonight.

SPEAKER_01:

So yeah, and then we're gonna and then we're gonna kick him. We're gonna kick him. I'm gonna deny him his win. I can't wait to try uh the new Scotty no torque when he gets one.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, after he buys it and then trades it in, or he buys the Odyssey and then trades it in on the Scotty. Yeah, I'll take it off his hands. Yeah, we're all old people. We're all old people. It was so it was so funny about old people. I was talking with Steven today, and I said uh we we were leaving the the T-box on 13, and it was like a drop down, like a foot and a half drop down, and I stopped and then walked around to the step, and he saw me, and I'm like, it's coming, bro. It's coming.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, you've had knee replacements. You have full you have like a bionic knee.

SPEAKER_04:

I wish I had a bionic knee, it wouldn't hurt.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, I'm I I mean, I think I think we all become old when we start really like getting into golf. Like, if you're into golf, you're you're getting there, guys. You gotta be careful. Like, if you're a golfer, you have to be careful of everything you outdo outside of golf, or else you might not be able to golf. Right? Right, yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

I stabbed myself in the thumb the other day, and I was like, you idiot. Fuck, I can't grip my gonna exactly gotta be careful, all right. So the internet invitational. Uh, this is something that I didn't know was gonna be as good. Joe hyped it up last week. He said, you know, the production was really good, and uh, so I watched it and he was right, it was it was entertaining, it was good. Um, the golf, not so much good, but the the interactions and the commentary and everybody all being out there was pretty good. Now, there was some good golf, don't get me wrong. There's some good players out there, and there's some good golf. Yeah, for sure. But the the scenery, the the the way they're doing the formats and the picks and everything, it was it was fun to watch, and it was good to see everybody's interactions. Uh, not the biggest Dave Portnoy fan, but he is hilarious on this. He is pretty good on there. He is absolutely hilarious. He talks so much shit, and it's it's fun because he's he knows he's just fucking with these guys, right? Yeah, and and some of the stuff that happens in this latest episode. Uh, if you have not watched it and you don't want to be spoiled by what's going to be said in the next 30 seconds, just pause it or hit mute for a few minutes. Um, but the when they had those players win a match and they had 28,000 in skins, and he said, I'll double it if you guys go back and play the hole again, and if you win the hole. But I haven't even gotten there yet.

SPEAKER_01:

What the fuck's going on here? You haven't no, I told you I got 40 minutes left on the last you said 20.

SPEAKER_04:

You said 20.

SPEAKER_01:

Hey, double it. You said they're doubling skins, I'm doubling minutes. Yeah, so 20 to 40.

SPEAKER_04:

So it was fifty-six thousand dollars, but if you lose, you lose the point for the team. And uh, it was pretty interesting what happened. But then the next time it happened, it was for a hundred grand.

SPEAKER_00:

Great, he just dives right into it.

SPEAKER_04:

No, I'm not I'm trying to.

SPEAKER_02:

I hate I said in case you haven't seen it, that's why I wanted it. In case you haven't seen it, you don't need to watch it anymore. No, no, no, no, I'm not gonna play it.

SPEAKER_01:

It's the same teams through the whole thing. No, no, they've swapped it. Yeah, yeah. So every day they the first two days, yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

It was it was two days. Uh, or the first day they played nine holes, uh uh scramble, then nine holes alternate shot. Who and that was rider cup format. The losing team got eliminated, gone, they're gone, the win, they're gone, they're out. The winning 12 players then got split up, they voted for captains again, okay, and did the same thing scramble, then alternate shot. So they they just got done with a scramble for this episode three.

SPEAKER_01:

So the so that's what's so dope about like that's why like I was hyping it up mostly because of the format. I think they did a really great job with the format. Shout out Liquid Death, Liquid Death, tune in to Chasing the Live Podcast every Tuesday night, waiting for your call. Liquid Death is the way one of the best of the re sparkling water flavored, uh Arnold Dead Billionaires. Well, we can't say that anymore. Liquid Death, I'm sorry, but great stuff, great stuff from Liquid Death. Um, but I think that's one of the things they did really uh well was the format. I think they controlled the format.

SPEAKER_05:

Yep, it was fantastic really well.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And also the editing, storylines. Uh, I don't understand the I mean, I mean, me and Dan talked about it a little bit today. We can go more into Luquon today, but I think uh I think they're trying to push those storylines to bring to bring viewers in, like the whole Roger Steele thing. I don't know if you guys saw that, like Roger Steele's a bad guy. And did you guys see that? Yeah, I didn't think that it didn't catch like the Luquan thing, but like they I think there's people out there pushing the storylines, and and and also in in the newest episode, Roger Steele is solid, like he's he's he seems like a good guy. I think uh, like I mentioned to Dan today, the biggest winner of the internet invitational is Domi Jared's homie, Chazzy Chazzy is Chazzy's the man baller.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, that dude just did shots. Yeah, he just did shots.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, dude, he's just he's killing it.

SPEAKER_04:

Killing killing it. And so here's the real question whose putter is shorter, Melosi's or Chazzies?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, that was funny. I love like that. Dude, the storylines they're providing are are very good, and it keeps you wanting to watch.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, this is the this is the problem with content creators and YouTube golfers on a big scale like this. Is the stuff fabricated to get views?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

Because their their whole persona is based on getting views. You know, if you're famous on YouTube, it's because you can get clicks and you can get views and you can sell advice advertisements. So um you you kind of wonder, and I think that they they think they went over the top with the quant thing. Umbe they just dialed it back in editing for the the next ones because it didn't it didn't feel like there was such a direct hit on one person to try and push for the last one.

SPEAKER_01:

They were trying to hit they were trying to hit Roger Steele with that, and Roger I don't think it worked though. That's but that's how well Roger Steele handles things, also. Yeah, Roger Steele is a uh dude, he you can you can talk shit to him and he'll he's a he's a he can finagle his way out of it. He's a smooth talker, man.

SPEAKER_04:

I thought it was hilarious on the the the one putt where the guy missed it, and he's like, You you just saw what was going on. Why did you aim out there?

SPEAKER_01:

And he's like so but did you see the the background story of all that? Do you see that did you see the whole thing with uh what's his name? Jake from Country Club Adjacent. So they they filmed a video back in 2020 where they were like you know playing against each other and they were talking shit to each other the whole time, and then Jake lost the audio files or they were corrupted. So that that that goes back like five years. So it's like one of those things like people not knowing what's actually happening, like seeing something now, but they don't know the backstory, yeah. Which is with everything, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_04:

A lot of stuff, inside jokes outside, so exactly. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he didn't, you know, Kevin's saying right here, I think Kwan made it easy by oversleeping and the not caring attitude, yeah, completely, you know.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, it was the not caring attitude, like he didn't he didn't seem sorry. That's that's the problem.

SPEAKER_04:

Did not seem sorry whatsoever, and for everybody being there, and you know, the fact that other people could have been there in his place very easily, that would have given up a lot to do it.

SPEAKER_01:

Uh yeah, like us or the golf or the golf fathers, you know. I mean mostly us, mostly mostly us.

SPEAKER_00:

Mostly us.

SPEAKER_04:

Sorry, Rocky. Uh all right. So uh the next episode, not sure when it's gonna come out, but it should take care of the Thursday.

SPEAKER_01:

I think it comes out Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tuesdays and Thursdays?

SPEAKER_04:

Okay, so that that will take care of the uh um alternate shot on the second round of what's going on.

SPEAKER_01:

I'll tell you what, I'm rooting for whatever team Chassie is on because Chassie is the winner of this entire thing.

SPEAKER_04:

So far, by far. And what's crazy is the the men and the women's and the little people are all playing from the same tease. Yeah. It's if you're a big hitter, big advantage. So um, I mean, like Berkshire just blasting it down there, and I didn't realize Peter Finch hits the ball 350 yards.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, Peter Finch is looking like a gosh, yeah. Peter Finch is on top of us, too.

SPEAKER_04:

So but I'm learning who all these people are. I'm not a big YouTube golfer, but I don't follow a lot of these accounts, but I know who some of the people were, um, just from the history of social media and stuff. Uh it's been fun, it's been a fun watch. It's been a fun watch. They did good. So congrats, Portnoy and Barstool.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm happy that the uh the um the episodes have gotten shorter as it's gone on, thankfully.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, three hours was the first one, wasn't it?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, 341.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Did you see um did you see that um David Portnoy podcast? I saw a clip, but he was talking about how they have a group chat and you know, like fat Perez was like said something and he and sent his text like 30 minutes later. So he said, like they were talking about the shows and how the how the episodes doing well, and fat Perez said something like, Hey, uh, see, aren't you glad we fought for the first episode? I don't know if they're like putting it on each each other's podcast or pages, but uh he unsent it like 30 minutes later, and Port Noy episode was like why'd you say that? But that it's in the world of YouTube golf and creating content and storylines could be all fabricated. Don't believe everything you see.

SPEAKER_04:

Don't believe everything. Kevin makes a good point too here. I'm surprised they didn't have more alternates on site. Yeah, true. And I'm but I'm pretty sure they're like, hey, you're playing for 1.7 million dollars in prize money, you're gonna be here. If you if we invite you, you're gonna come to this. So but J.R. Smith was the one that didn't make it, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Late, yeah, for the Lacey girl.

SPEAKER_04:

And the Lacey girl filled in for him. So yeah, she had an opportunity, yeah, you know, to be a star.

SPEAKER_01:

So here's the whole thing. Don't believe everything you see. Just because people like Putnam labs doesn't mean you need a lab.

SPEAKER_04:

Unless you're watching this, believe us. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

Believe this.

SPEAKER_04:

All right, Jeremy, you're our resident Scotty Cameron, aficionado.

SPEAKER_01:

He's a he's a big Scotty guy. This guy, this guy.

SPEAKER_04:

He is the big mallet, the big mallet, big Scotty guy. Didn't have an issue with the big mallet, but the smaller one, the mid-mallet, where they they took that that nut and like welded on the back and stuck a shaft in it and said, This is a Scotty Cameron.

SPEAKER_00:

He's a big fan of that one. Let's actually that's the one I would get for sure, but I don't know what I would do about that welded nut on the back of it. But yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01:

The other one, the other one looks like the typical zero torque style putter, but I do like that they repurposed an existing putter and made it zero torque. That's probably the one I would get. I don't know if I will buy one. They're 550, I think, is what they're gonna be. But this is the one we're talking about.

SPEAKER_04:

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00:

It just it this one feels I do like that head. It is a welded nut. Thank you. This just doesn't look they should work.

SPEAKER_01:

It looks like someone just did that in their garage. Why didn't they round it? They should have rounded it. They should have rounded it, they could have made the top line thicker.

SPEAKER_04:

They yeah, they could have just made it haven't sold as many of these versions as we thought. How can we make this center shafted and offset? They're like, let's weld a nut.

SPEAKER_02:

It's like they just plugged that nut into that. They plug the nut. Yeah, right into that little cherry bomb on the back. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

What? Uh yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01:

I do love the face on that putter though, but I just I don't think I could not look at that. Like it would have been much better. You guys can't see what I'm pointing out, but they could have kept the three cherry bombs and then built something, welded something to the middle of that chain. But and also I saw on Foley. Um what's the guy that used to work for golf uh WRX? Went to Callaway and now he left Callaway.

SPEAKER_04:

Johnny Wonder?

SPEAKER_01:

Johnny Wonder. He was saying they're not zero torque, they're minimal torque. Because he they sent him too. So low torque. Yeah, yeah, low torque.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, Jake from Age for the Range was talking about it today too. So I mean they're they're all over the place. They're seeing them. I I don't know. I just I what I said to Jeremy was that doesn't look like a Scotty Cameron produced product, right? Yeah, that looks like one of the small putter companies took a Scotty Cameron, welded a bolt on the back of it, and stuck a shaft in it. That's that's what that looks like, and to me, that is not like the level of work that should come out of Escondito. That's you know, yeah, yeah. I think that one agreed. And that was Jad's.

SPEAKER_01:

That's Jeremy's favorite, though. I prefer that one over like that shape of the other one.

SPEAKER_04:

No, I didn't care, dude. It looks like an aircraft.

SPEAKER_02:

The other one's different because it's like that shaft is almost like a half an inch or three-quarters of an inch behind the fucking face, and it just looks super weird.

SPEAKER_01:

Yep, yeah. I I mean, I mean, I think Scotty might have missed that one for sure. I mean, you don't he's he's led in the industry by doing his own thing, and then he's falling behind trying to like catch a wave and like shouldn't have should have just left it there. Yeah, you don't need it right now. You could have done you could have you could have thought it out a bit more and next year maybe release something that was better.

SPEAKER_04:

So earlier today, I was chatting with guys from Please Let Us Golf, and and they said a suit made that decision. That wasn't Scotty Cameron that made this yeah, it was a that was a titles decision, not a Scotty decision.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER_04:

Because it just does not seem like yeah, very weird.

SPEAKER_01:

So that if that doesn't make sense to you, Scotty doesn't make the decisions anymore. There's a conglomerate above Scotty that makes a lot of the decisions for Scotty, yeah. Older Scotties, mature Scotties over newer Scotties, in my opinion, which I'm coming to learn because I've never been a big Scotty guy.

SPEAKER_04:

Oh, Joe's got like four of them now, so yeah, just want another one from Mr.

SPEAKER_01:

Ambush. Did you really? What'd you do in this time? Got a Del Mar coming. Del Mar select. Oh, okay. Look at you.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah. Scotty Collector's new whatnot show.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah. I I I keep the ones I want and I'll give away the ones I don't.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah. True question is does Scotty ever design that one? No, I don't think he did.

SPEAKER_01:

I just again I think they had I don't even think Scotty designs it the shit anymore, really.

SPEAKER_04:

They had that model, and they're like, uh, we have way too many of these in stock. What can we do? And they're like, Yeah, that's sounds that sounds plausible. Put a nut on the back of it and stick a shaft back there. Fucking brilliant. Do it. Give that man a raise. Yep.

SPEAKER_01:

Nori in the house. Let's go. Chef.

SPEAKER_04:

Never late, man. Never late.

SPEAKER_01:

Never late.

SPEAKER_04:

So then so the other putters that came out this week, uh, Odyssey Company man, they they came out with their new ZT Zero Zero Torque. I hate saying zero torque. It's a toe-up putter, but they like to call it zero torque. So um they come out with their new line. Uh, tons of tech in this. Uh, what they have done is moved that shaft a lot more forward. It's not, you know, an inch behind now. Uh, they took a lot of weight out of the fangs and the back end of the jailbird, moved it all up front, added some tungsten, really heavy front weighted that thing, and uh have changed the face. They've put AI more more AI in the face, changed the angles of the the teeth on the face, new materials. It's crazy soft. And uh it's their new, it's the the tri-hot line of uh zero torque putters three versions the Rossi, the jailbird, and the seven. And uh you'll start seeing those in stores very, very, very soon. And they come at a hefty price. I mean, this is$550. And the cruiser, the cruiser's six bills. So yeah, I mean, it's it's wild what I mean. I'm sure everybody's going if lab can sell an ugly putter, sorry, sorry, Sam, uh, for$600, why can't we? So why can't we sell a good looking one for$600?

SPEAKER_01:

What's gonna be interesting is is like I think Callaway did a great job with the AI, like one milled, right? In in the AI face, and they were using AI before anyone else in the in the golf industry, and it was like, oh, that's AI, it knows what it's doing, and then like if you go on social media and it's like yo, AI, go on to this website, build a website, build this, and AI will do everything for you. And AI is not always correct. I just want to throw this out there just because it is AI or it has AI in the name doesn't mean it's better. No, and you know, I think I think it's do your research and figure out what works for you. AI doesn't mean it's better. Look, I just want to throw that out there.

SPEAKER_04:

I don't think it means it's better, but I think what Callaway is doing is they're using the AI to help them design based on feedback, so and that's that's yeah, I get that. Yeah, they're not going to hey design a design a you know face for us. You know, they're they're saying here's all these data points, I help us pinpoint absolutely, yes, 100%.

SPEAKER_01:

But I I don't care to see people throwing the AI name out there all the time. You don't need to, you don't need it. AI exists now, guys. AI is out there, and we know everyone's using AI. My company's using AI. We're not changing our name to AI.mycompany, you know, like AI does not does not need to be the name.

SPEAKER_02:

Yet it's artificial insemination because inseminating your brain that AI is good for you or better.

SPEAKER_01:

Now, if it kevin is right, if it is a reebox shoe and there's an AI on it, it might get crossed up, you know what I'm saying? Irison is always better.

SPEAKER_04:

Practice, talking about practice. I agree. All right, so that was that. All right, this will be a fun one. Live golf.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, I saw this one coming.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, and it's it's amaz. I saw so many live fanboys posting PGA tour and OWGR, where are you gonna hide now? It's like, what the fuck are you talking about? Um and and uh there was the the guy from I'm terrible with names. Anyways, uh, he had a great post today where he's talking about now. We basically have two of the same leagues. Two leagues. This is great for the players because now they have options. You can go make money over here, you can go make money over here. You got 14 live events where you get big payouts. You got 12 events on the PGA tour that are uh you know, elevated events, four majors, you make your money there. So, where do you want to go? Great for them. Horrible for the fans because the best players are still split up. Um but they said how how much longer tell the shotgun stocks starts are gone now.

SPEAKER_01:

You know, Phil's out of here.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, and it's so it's just gonna be a net. What is the difference now? What is the difference? Because you know, Phil and all these guys, big thing that they were took. Hey, it's only 54 holes, it's only only playing three days. It's it's not as many tournaments. Well, now it is. Uh, it's it's you know, only 54 holes. Well, now you gotta play four days. Yeah, you know, it's shotgun start. Well, that's probably gonna go away next.

SPEAKER_02:

And you know, yeah, but they have shorts and music, so oh that's right.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, god damn it, damn. I'm clue glad you're here.

SPEAKER_02:

That makes it that takes it over the door and music.

SPEAKER_04:

That's not about the shorts and music.

SPEAKER_02:

Got it.

SPEAKER_01:

So now that they're playing 72 holes, they're gonna have to change their name, right?

SPEAKER_04:

Well, it's it's now uh it's no longer live golf, it's it's Lexi Golf. L X XII. Yeah, 72, Lexi Golf.

SPEAKER_02:

Live another 18. Let's see.

SPEAKER_04:

Yes, yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Live plus live plus live another shotgun.

SPEAKER_01:

Live another shotgun. Live plus one.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, maxi tour. This is we're real close to the maxi tour and in happy gilmore, too.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, also if you like if you like shotguns, you shouldn't. I'm just say that. If you like shotguns, you should for for pro golf or just in general for pro for golf tournaments. If you enjoy shotguns, you shouldn't.

SPEAKER_04:

The VGN, we do shotguns the majority of the time because easy is to do them, and I hate it. I wish all of it would be times, but unfortunately, we can't do that.

SPEAKER_01:

I love them because I start on hole one every single time. Yeah, exactly. It's almost like the same for you guys. Yeah, I'm out here starting on a par three, and I didn't even get to warm up and show it up as well. I was on what not too late.

SPEAKER_04:

Uh oh, yeah. So this this will be interesting to see how this goes out. Uh, you know, now their value for holes played per contract has been depleted a little bit. Yeah. Uh, you know, you got more more, you gotta play more golf now. Dustin Johnson, uh, is he gonna stop now? Yeah, yeah. I don't want to play that many holes, but I don't want to play. So we will see how this pans out. And you know what? I don't care if they get official world golf rankings if they're playing by the rules. Yeah, the OWGR did not go, oh, live, it's coming out, they're only playing 54 holes. Let's create a new rule. The rule was already there in place. You have to play 72 holes golf competition.

SPEAKER_01:

So I can tell you one thing. Even though they're going to 72 holes for the tournaments, I'm probably not gonna watch them still because the podcast is boring.

SPEAKER_04:

That's another day of horrible television.

SPEAKER_01:

Now, in person, it's it's okay. In person, it's alright. But watching on TV, can't keep up. No, it's just more to keep up with. It's another day to like what's going on.

SPEAKER_04:

And I mean, I I really enjoy listening to Faraday. I loved his TV show when he had his TV show because it was awesome. But there's like there's small amounts of Faraday that you you need. You just need like a Faradity drop here, a Ferity drop there. Like three hours of Ferry, it's too much Faradie. It's it's just too much. And I think that's one of the issues that they have is you know, that's fairity fatigue. Yeah, fairity fatigue.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, got that double F.

SPEAKER_04:

You know, you just there's a there's just there's just you need just a little bit of him. You just need a bit, a little bit of him to mix it up and have fun. It's like you're giving him the stage for too long.

SPEAKER_02:

Is McCord still out there or is he done?

SPEAKER_04:

No, he's he when CBS booted him, I think he was done. He's fantastic though. I love him.

SPEAKER_02:

I didn't mind me some Gary McCord. Yeah, I know him and David Faraday together were great.

SPEAKER_04:

Oh, they were fantastic. I I can't wait.

SPEAKER_01:

What was that situation with Gary McCord where he like he like got kicked? Do you remember that? He made a comment about the uh greens at Augusta being like a big like they were waxed or something, like a they were bikini waxed, something like that, and then they that's the live golf we need. That's the live golf we need, yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

That's right, yeah. We need some of that. It's more for the casual golf fans, ones that are non-traditional golfers. Is then you're talking about live golf?

SPEAKER_01:

I uh yeah, that's probably what I was talking about. I could see that, but like it's still like it's confusing people, it's not it's not easy to keep up with, you know. He's got five holes left, but he started on two, so it's like you don't know what holes he has to play left, you know. So that's it the sh the whole shotgun situation sucks.

SPEAKER_04:

Kevin, I don't know if you heard this story before, but one of the casual golf fans that was at the Live Vegas event called Threll Hatton Shane Lowry, and it was absolutely hilarious. We're standing right next to him, he's like, That's Shane Lowry. It's like when did he move to live? When did he move to live?

SPEAKER_01:

That was Terrell Hatton, yeah, yeah. No issues, no issues with casual golf fans, but yeah, it's uh it's one of those things, man. It's like no know your role, know your role. Kind of thing, know your role, you know what I mean? All right, also don't don't enjoy shotguns, shotguns are not fun. Play it the way the course was intended to play from one the original routing, that's how they were built for, yeah. Yeah, they were built that way, or maybe ten. Ten is okay, but rather one. Yeah, don't enjoy shotguns. Play them when you want to, but don't support them. No, sorry, but please play in the VGN.

SPEAKER_04:

You can wear shorts in the VGN and you can play music.

SPEAKER_00:

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_04:

There you go. And and it's a shotgun. And you can sometimes you want to too, I don't care, as long as it doesn't bother the other people. And you can drink, just don't get record video, record videos. We we're we're we're casual.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, look at Vic throwing a little curveball. This love the team play.

SPEAKER_04:

Oh, that's right, they have teams and live. I forgot about that.

SPEAKER_01:

That's what the rider cup's for.

SPEAKER_04:

President's Cup, team play. When you have no idea who four of the five members are, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

I don't even know what the teams are. And I don't know how many holes they have left.

SPEAKER_02:

The thing is, though, the thing about the teams, not only is it like also distracting because they keep they keep tracks of that shit on the on the scoreboard on the on the screen, but they have the name lamest fucking names. Oh, that's so bad. The fucking crutchers, the bashers, or the hackers, whatever the fuck it is. Are you serious? The nibblets serious right now and time shouldn't be for Bogon.

SPEAKER_01:

And time and time. Yes, yeah. I agree. I agree with you, Dan. Yeah, fucking lame. They're not good. The cliques. I mean, the worst part about it is they're just all split up. I mean, if they could just play together, that'd be great.

SPEAKER_03:

Right.

SPEAKER_01:

Right. If if they did it right, it would be it, it could be good.

SPEAKER_04:

There's there's a structure there where it could be really good, but well, it it pretty soon it's just gonna be two exactly same leagues. Two exactly the same leagues.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, yeah. Yeah, they're they're trying to come after their world ranking points for sure. I mean, that's what that's what's gonna happen.

SPEAKER_04:

And you can have them fine, but I can't wait till they do that first event and their world ranking points, and they get them, and they're like, nothing because your field is trash, and you know the the high dollar players that you played uh finished at the bottom because that's where they've been finishing.

SPEAKER_01:

They're also gonna have to create a tour where they're like breeding new stars, and like that they're doing that thing, they are it's a bit hard hard for them, I think.

SPEAKER_04:

It's but they're just they're just they should look at the VGN.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, they should.

SPEAKER_01:

There's a player out there, he's he's plus three, he's plus three right now. They could pay his ass whooped today.

SPEAKER_03:

What's that, Jeremy?

SPEAKER_02:

You could pay Dan nine digits to plan live. I would totally fuck yeah. Are you kidding me? I would sell the fuck out for nine digits. I'm a hofer golf.

SPEAKER_00:

Dan would probably sell out for live tattoos or no yeah, four digits nine nine G's.

SPEAKER_04:

You had me at six, all right.

SPEAKER_01:

So just pay my rent.

SPEAKER_04:

Uh just pay my rent. You give me a tea time at LBCC? Okay, that's good.

SPEAKER_01:

Pay my rent, give me a ribeye every night with some eggs, and uh pay my entry fees into VGN, and you're good.

SPEAKER_04:

You're good. That's it. Ah, all right. So this was kind of uh a good one for us for 350 episodes. Uh so before we hopped on here tonight, I wrote down uh all the little milestone episodes as far as in the 50s go. So episode 50 uh took place August 2nd of 2020.

SPEAKER_00:

That's great.

SPEAKER_02:

That's great. Five over five minutes. We're in the middle of COVID.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah. Um episode 100 took place May 12th of 2021. Uh episode 150 was uh March 9th of 2022. Episode 200 took place on January 18th of 2023. 250 took place uh 1129 of 2023, 300 took place 1115 of 2024, and episode 350, which is today, November 4th, 2025. So that's pretty nice. Hats off to everybody that's stuck around listening to all these episodes. Uh, it's it's been a blast doing this. Don't have any intentions of going anywhere anytime soon. Uh, love what's happening with Garson. Uh we get these fellers to listen to us. Yeah, go spam liquid death on Instagram. Liquid death if you're listening. Go hit up Liquid Death and let them know that we're we're trying. Yeah, it's uh well it if these guys make it easy because I I can ramble and then they can fill in. Uh Joe's good at rambling too. Uh we're we're talkers. Am I? Oh, well, we just we we don't shut up. Joe and I could be we we could do six hours of just yapping.

SPEAKER_01:

Probably, yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, so it's been a good run. Uh we're having a blast with it. And uh everybody is is liking the new yellow, the new yellow, uh, it's bright on YouTube. Um, I I've been doing these little pop-up lives, and I'm having a blast doing them. And what's crazy is the the view, I don't know what why it is. We'll get you know 250 to 300 views on a 10-minute live on a you know on my phone, but a scheduled live like this, and there's nine people watching, so gotta figure out, gotta figure that out.

SPEAKER_01:

But I saw last week we had uh 457 downloads uh for the podcast. So that's good. It's we're trending the week before we're trending, guys. Continue sharing the show, guys. Hell yeah, we're here for you. We I mean, we're we're not gonna not cut you in if you have a question. I mean, as always, we're here for you. We're we're gonna do this with or without you, obviously. Nobody would nobody was around back in the day. We're gonna do it with or without you. So if you got anything to say, fucking shoot that shit out.

SPEAKER_04:

Vertical live shows up an algorithm different than this style. Okay, it's it's crazy. I mean, it it's I I scroll on YouTube at night watching the live streams, and it's I never see this format. So, Kevin, you're right. I only just see the the uh the portrait um feeds, and but just the it's amazing what some people are watching and how many people are watching some things.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, like we also just started doing this. What when did we start going doing the live show on YouTube? That was like a year ago, a year and a half ago.

SPEAKER_04:

Nah, it was longer than that. Um we just started doing it recently, but I can probably bring it up on my phone when the it's been like years.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

I think we started right after Dan uh joined.

SPEAKER_01:

Um because we were a year and a half for Dan to get a backdrop. How long is it gonna take for you, Jeremy? I know. Seriously, Dan and VGN.

SPEAKER_02:

I did accumulate some trophies, Joe. I was waiting for this moment.

SPEAKER_00:

VGN month do it, do it for the moment.

SPEAKER_04:

So let's see. That was live. That was live, that was 11 months ago.

SPEAKER_01:

I thought hey, you YouTube's girl, you're doing great. So continue sharing and uh telling people to like and subscribe as well, you know. Might have a huge opportunity tomorrow. We'll see. I'm not gonna push it, but there's potential.

SPEAKER_04:

There's potential, there is potential. So, yeah, it it's uh I guess it I guess we haven't been doing it that long. I thought it was longer than that.

SPEAKER_02:

Joe's playing golf with Michael Jordan tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, me and MJ, we're gonna be crossing up AI together. He's gonna teach me his ways. There's a there's a chance Tiger shows up.

SPEAKER_04:

So, yeah, I think our 300th uh the the Vegas golf course was one of the first ones that we did. Yeah, so that was that was almost a year ago.

SPEAKER_01:

So I I am very stoked tomorrow. We've all agreed that we'll pay for the fee at Desert Pines and we're going to L Vcc. That's what it looks like currently. What a wild day for tea time booking planning.

SPEAKER_02:

So somebody in the group that you were gonna play with booked that Desert Pines time. Yeah, I that's what it looks like to me. So you guys are on the hook for that money for the for those green vs.

SPEAKER_01:

currently to play L Vcc. So what I told him is is like, hey, you need to call in the morning and just give a sob story. Yeah, 20 bucks. Don't be able to do that. And I said if I said if that does this is this is the funny, this is the funny part.

SPEAKER_00:

This is the funny part. I told him this is the funny part, guys.

SPEAKER_01:

I told him if that doesn't work, I can go down there on my way to LVC and slip the$20 to the Pro Job guy. Yep.

SPEAKER_02:

That's the Joe's golden ticket for the answer for everything in life. Just slip that 20 bucks.

SPEAKER_04:

I can't wait till Theo gets in trouble at school.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, my business card.

SPEAKER_01:

Hey, but a pro shop, a pro shop guy, which golf professionals, pro shop golf course attendance, and all those people don't get paid enough as it is. And if you show up and be like, hey, here's 20 for you, not to charge me for the tea time, which you're not even full anyway. Bada bang, bada boom. I said, let me know. I'll slide through, I'll slip them a 20.

SPEAKER_02:

You should here's a little odd discount. If you ever get pulled over, Joe, should try it. Put that in your lead in between your notes. Yeah, see how that works out.

SPEAKER_01:

Uh, I did not, I I would not try that, but I did tell uh on our drives taking those guys back to horseshoe. I said, Hey, here's a tip.

SPEAKER_00:

I was like, have you checked in yet? And he's like, No, here's a tip, here's a tip.

SPEAKER_03:

Here's a tip.

SPEAKER_01:

I said did you ask him if it worked all the time? Not yet. No, I said it doesn't work all the time.

SPEAKER_03:

But so I would do that. I would do that, and the guy would go, what's this?

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, right. Where at uh what is did you drop this? Those guys don't make any tips, they they don't make any tips, but they make good money. Who the the front front desk 20 bucks?

SPEAKER_02:

Hey, worse comes the worst, he's gonna get an extra towel or two. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01:

Worst comes the worst, you tip 20 bucks. And it's it's not even a fucking cheeseburger on the strip.

SPEAKER_02:

From cheeseburger at McDonald's barely that barely covers a beer and a tip with a tip, exactly.

SPEAKER_01:

And and it and if if you gotta cancel a tea time because you're playing somewhere better, and the guy behind the desk wishes he could go play that golf course. Uh hey man, I came down here.

SPEAKER_04:

You know, I'm sorry, all the way from Spring Valley.

SPEAKER_01:

Exactly. I drove I dude. I wanted to come down here. Uh, I apologize for missing our tea time. Here's a 20 for you. Uh hopefully you don't charge us fully for our tea times. We found a better course to play. We were in within the 25 years, we you guys are voting anyway.

SPEAKER_04:

The chasing daylight podcast, this course sucks.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, but not me. I'd be like, Chasing the daylight, they hate it. I love this place, it's one of my favorites. Here's 20 for you. Go across the street, get yourself a Big Mac, and enjoy your day. And uh, I wish you were out there playing with us at LVC.

SPEAKER_04:

Nobody should cross the street at Desert Pine in their pocket.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, that's the thing. Get yourself a tropical. There's a tropical smoothie right there. There's a taco shop on the corner at the gas station.

SPEAKER_04:

Yep, that's a that's a tropical savi.

SPEAKER_01:

No, but I think that goes a long way. Is like when we when we stayed, we canceled our uh our uh breakfast reservation, and I was like, I'm gonna go down there. It's downstairs, it's downstairs. I'm gonna I went up to the guy, I was like, hey man, we're locals. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_04:

UNLB just lost to you UT Martin. I thought you were gonna talk shit about it for going downstairs. Shit. I think they were a 40-point favorite tonight.

SPEAKER_02:

Unlove 40 point favorite.

SPEAKER_04:

Something like that. It was ridiculous.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh, the Josh Pashnar era is not off to a hot start.

SPEAKER_04:

It did not start well for him. I didn't know D Don Thomas left and went to LSU.

SPEAKER_01:

This is now an NCAA podcast.

SPEAKER_04:

Hey, breaking breaking news. Sorry, breaking news. Breaking news, the rebels suck again. Breaking news, the rebels suck again, and the nights are up one with six minutes left.

SPEAKER_01:

So but no, I think it goes a long way to to like you know say hey, I fucked up, my bad. This is for you. Yeah, phone call should handle that, or you know, like I appreciate you, and that's that's what Vegas was based on from the beginning, and that's what's missing a lot nowadays, as well. Bring the mob back. What do you what do you what do you smirk it at?

SPEAKER_04:

You think Vegas was based on people being honest?

SPEAKER_01:

No, no, no, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_04:

Take taking care of people that take care of you, uh, or you'll get taken care of town was built on raping people over and over again.

SPEAKER_01:

I know, but it was it was also built on getting free drinks to people that were spending money, so they would spend money, exactly. Yeah, but you're take they're taking care of you and you're taking care of them in a different way.

SPEAKER_02:

It was a raping with excellent customer service, yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

Exactly.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, exactly. Thank you for letting us rape you. Here's a drink and a buffet, each or fill.

SPEAKER_01:

Here's a dollar ninety nine primary raping, and those those ways are lost. Like you give something, you get something, kind of thing. That's what I'm saying. You give something, you get something.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, not anymore. Then you win, and like exactly now it's now it's parking fees and resort fees and fee fees and spend, spend, spend, spend, spend fee fees, and dude. Now the automatic kiosks are like the first three things are 20, 30, and 40 on the gratuity. It's like why is the custom button so small? Yeah, 20 auto tip on a Starbucks. I was like, what is wrong with this world?

SPEAKER_05:

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

I did like uh I don't know if you guys saw that where uh there was a dude who was like, My new rule not tipping if I'm standing up. Yeah, you see that makes sense to me. Yeah, if I'm standing up, not tipping.

SPEAKER_04:

The the worst tip ever is like at the frozen yogurt places where you serve yourself and you throw it on a scale, and they go, it pops up for tips like what the fuck did you do? Oh, we could probably talk about this in the next five minutes.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04:

Uh tipping, tipping is ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.

SPEAKER_01:

So, anyways, I always owe a dollar to the guy making my bean and cheese, though. I will say that. Oh, yeah, for sure. Then they'll remember you 100%. There's uh when I go to Faustos around the corner, there's four guys usually at the cash register, three of them never flip it for me. One guy that I see all the time. He's like this fool's gonna tip every time. I like to see him because I know he's gonna take care of me. He's gonna he's gonna make sure I I'm in and out. I'm good.

SPEAKER_02:

Slide him at 20.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, slide him at 20.

SPEAKER_02:

Next next 20 visits, bro. My burrito is$25.

SPEAKER_04:

So we uh uh my wife and I unlocked a uh a life code cheat hack uh on Halloween. So you know, our our oldest is gone to college, and our youngest is uh she's about to be 17, and she's just I mean, Halloween's not her jam, right? And so we've always had something going on for the last 18 years as far as Halloween and going taking the kids trick-or-treating or going to events or you know, whatever. And like this year, we had nothing to do, and we had to go pick up the car at the dealership because it had some work done because some rats at the airport ate through my wife's transmission harness. And so we pick up the car and we're like, hey, let's go to dinner. And so we went to BJ's, and um, there was nobody there, nobody there, and the people that were there didn't have kids. And I'm like, Yeah, this is something I was not aware of for the past 18 years that a restaurant is empty on Halloween, it's void of kids. So next year, if anybody wants to go to a play, go any kind of restaurant, the kids are out trick-or-treating with families, so the restaurants are not happy. It was, I was like, I feel like I've you know what I love something here.

SPEAKER_01:

What's such a curb your enthusiasm moment is like that's your first thought. It's not like, damn, I miss spending Halloween trick-or-treating with my kids. Oh no, I don't like it.

SPEAKER_00:

He's like, nope, nobody's here, nobody's here, it's all mine. This is awesome. I don't miss my kids being young. Um Larry David, full on Larry David moment.

SPEAKER_04:

I love it. I'll take it. I'll take it, man, because it was nice. I was like, This is so nice, so nice.

SPEAKER_02:

So I remind me when he goes to when he goes and he's listening in on the golf lesson. Uh yeah, getting free lessons. And then he hits somebody.

SPEAKER_04:

The vertical drop in the horizontal. He didn't yell four. He's deaf. I'm not gonna hit that guy.

SPEAKER_01:

Great, greatest, greatest show of all time.

SPEAKER_04:

It's the vertical drop in the horizontal tug.

SPEAKER_01:

Larry David.

SPEAKER_02:

It's the vertical drop in the horizontal tug.

SPEAKER_00:

It's the vertical drop in the horizontal tug.

SPEAKER_02:

Oh fuck.

SPEAKER_04:

Uh Christmas morning might be similar.

SPEAKER_01:

If you ever looked, uh, if you come into my house, there's a frame picture of Larry David on our bookshelf. One of the family members.

SPEAKER_04:

Yeah, exactly. First year trick-or-treating with the kids. Oh, yeah, you got a long way to go. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Joe's Joe is all in it right now, too.

SPEAKER_01:

He is just I'm six deep on the first. You're absorbed. Yeah. We're we're in this. That's why I'm playing golf. But today was great. It was it was good to be out there. Really, really, really good to be out there.

SPEAKER_04:

It's good for your soul. Absolutely. 100%. I played pretty well. I've got two really good back-to-back rounds. So I'm I'm grooving it right now. I'm ready, getting ready for the finals, got my shit all dialed in. A nice little uh four over today. A couple birds, stayed out of trouble.

SPEAKER_02:

Well done.

SPEAKER_04:

Lex is uh or legacy's in good shape.

SPEAKER_02:

So I'm Jay, did you go low today?

SPEAKER_01:

I was two under, and then I had to leave to go pick up Zavy from school. Uh school pick up. I was 17, so yeah, I was playing well. He was playing. So you're three under, he was three under three under for the finishing the ball. Yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER_04:

On on 11, probably would have hold out from the fairway, honestly.

SPEAKER_01:

Definitely. On 11 high percentage.

SPEAKER_04:

On 11, Jeremy had 80 yards in. On 11.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh wow.

SPEAKER_04:

I almost got my fourth double eagle on uh oh yeah, on 15 from the right rough or five, he hit it to six inches. Five. Yeah. Really? Yeah. On the rough on the right, hit it to six inches. Ridiculous shot.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Tis the season. It's a good year to do it.

SPEAKER_01:

Thought it was going to do it. Tis the tis.

SPEAKER_04:

Dan had a good eagle look at at Lexington Sunday morning.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. I had another one today. I had 303 hit driver off the deck to like 20s. DOD, huh?

SPEAKER_01:

Fun fact me and Dan both hit DODs today.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah. Nice. Joe hit one good too. Uh the one that I have at albatross on five. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01:

SPEAKER_01:

SPEAKER_02:

SPEAKER_04:

Oh, yeah. If you get on that top left of that ridge and bounce down, oh, get so much more roll out of that. And you guys fly that, so I I'm I hope to land on it. You guys land way past it and get the kick. There's a ridge there.

SPEAKER_01:
