As a subscriber you'll gain access to podcast features not available to everyoneWhat’s your real limit on a putter you’d actually game? We start with a jaw-dropping $7,500 listing and dig into the psychology behind gear lust, buyer’s remorse, and the thin line between a gamer and a shelf queen. From there, the conversation gets personal—quick hits about stolen clubs, the nostalgia of old Titleist woods, and why a retro round can sharpen your swing faster than most practice sessions.
We make a hard case that coaching outperforms consumerism. A targeted putting lesson can transform pace control and start lines without adding a single gram to your bag. Meanwhile, that $350 impulse buy might feel magic for a week and end up gathering dust. You’ll hear where each of us draws the line on price, what we’d risk bringing to the course, and why confidence should be earned with reps and feedback, not just milled faces and rare stamps.
Community matters just as much. We revisit a favorite event with an all-time swag bag and talk honestly about why organizing local tournaments is tougher now—tight tee sheets, tourist rates, and shrinking availability. So we’re pivoting: building a cleaner website hub, leaning into short-form video, and planning a Midwest golf trip we’ll film from airport pickup to final putt. Expect simple, useful clips, gear walk-throughs, and real moments that show golf the way we live it—no staged cart flips, just the good stuff.
If you’ve ever weighed a lesson against a new wand, or wondered how to grow a golf community without losing the soul, this one’s for you. Hit play, tell us your putter price ceiling, and share the smartest investment you’ve made in your game. Subscribe, leave a review, and send this to a golf friend who’s one click away from another “fix.”

Welcome to the darkness, motherfucker.
unknown:Welcome.
SPEAKER_02:That's such a killer point. I love that.
SPEAKER_04:I'm sorry. You're dying. Good news. Congratulations. You got the potion. Oh man. Where are these guys at? I don't know. They did they know that to refresh the screen? Uh I don't know. Uh repress. There we go. There's Jeremy. There's Jeremy.
SPEAKER_01:Sorry, my that sound you were hearing when we were recording earlier, the thump thump thump, was my deck lowering automatically?
SPEAKER_04:Oh, whoa.
SPEAKER_01:Because I didn't realize I put my water bottle on the button. I don't know if you could see it in the camera, but I was like panicking trying to like fix it without looking like I'm trying to fix something.
SPEAKER_02:And it was just like oh I was wondering what that was. I go, it sounds like so weird.
Matt:I was like, who is going to town on themselves during the show? No, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:No cranking down mid-show.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Just yeah, that was a new one a little bit longer.
SPEAKER_01:Usually I put my all my stuff on this foam mat under my laptop, but it was tonight. It I didn't do that. So yes.
Matt:Well, now since I have the extra day, I've been able to go in and like delete all the yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, the dumping the mic sounds.
Matt:Yeah, so it's uh it's good. Yeah, you gotta we gotta get to to get the mic off the table. So anytime you touch your desk, it it makes a noise. Yeah, mine mine's on the table.
SPEAKER_05:You're fucking out of the audio tomorrow.
SPEAKER_04:Oh man.
SPEAKER_01:So I got a question for you guys. So I was scouring Epic Scotties, of course. Yep, and that putter I sent you,$7,500, which is really steep for that, but it's they always jack prices up. What's the limit on price for a putter that you would game? Like I know you want the Napa, Dan, and I don't know if it's be you wouldn't play it because it's expensive or because it's just not an easy putter to use.
SPEAKER_02:I wouldn't play it because for to for two reasons. Yeah, for those are two reasons. Um, and besides, those are hard to find in great shape. And when you do, yeah, I'm not gonna game it. I'm just gonna keep it and keep it in good shape. But other than that, I would say probably$500 is the most I'm gonna put I'm gonna put really on putter.
unknown:Okay.
SPEAKER_02:That I would game.
Matt:Yeah. Um shit. That's that's any putter nowadays.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, I was like that's the custom goodwood, so we're almost 500.
Matt:That's what Odysseys are going for now.
SPEAKER_01:So yeah, that's normal putter price.
Matt:600 bucks for the cruiser, the new trihot cruiser.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, it's insane. I I would game a circle T for sure, 100%. It would go straight in the bag. But the 7500, that is crazy. I think I would enjoy it, but I would regret it later.
Matt:But that's once I mean you you would like have to bring that inside with you when you eat. You'd have to, you know. That's I'm taking my clubs to the car, and I'm gonna keep my putter with me in case my car gets stolen.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, well, I've had a putter stolen out of my bag at the golf course before, so Scotty. Uh it was uh Taylor-made Rossi or Rosa Rossa, I can't remember the name.
SPEAKER_02:It had that red insert on the face. Remember the Rossa putters, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, it was it was sick, but that was like the first putter I bought that was it's like 200 bucks back then, I think. Yeah, yeah, I got stolen right out of my bag at Hobo Creek.
Matt:In Utah, yeah, in Utah.
SPEAKER_01:What damn tourists? No, it wasn't that yeah.
SPEAKER_02:I uh was that um Angia Park, and this was early 2000s, maybe 2001, before I was catting at Bears Best, and I get done with a round of golf, and I put my clubs in the back of my truck, and I had a ton of cover, so I threw the tonne of cover down a fiberglass one. My fault, I didn't lock it, but I was like, I'm gonna go inside the clubhouse real quick, uh grab a Gatorade and a snack, and then leaf. I was gone five minutes. If that I came back, my fucking tunnel cover was up, and I go, What the fuck? And I look back there and they took they didn't they left my irons and everything else, but they took my brand new uh I think I had nine. It was when the 980, the 975 J's came out. Do you remember that driver, Jeremy? Yeah, I had a I had a 975 J and then I had a 973 wood and a PT 175 wood, and those were gone.
SPEAKER_05:Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_02:That's still all my stole all my three woods, all my uh that's all very woods.
SPEAKER_01:I might have it. I bought a 975 J on whatnot. That might be yours. Check that serial. What shaft did you have in it?
SPEAKER_02:Did you have the I had the EI70, bro?
SPEAKER_01:Yep, yep.
SPEAKER_02:EI70 60X.
SPEAKER_01:Yep, the classic. Wow. Yeah, we need to go play around with some like retro-ish clubs. I don't have any really old irons. I think my oldest iron set that's like legit is like 2014.
Matt:Yeah, I have those atoms that are they're actually really nice to hit. I just man, they're not forgiving at all.
SPEAKER_01:They're not. Yeah, but man, they're pretty.
Matt:Oh god, they're pretty.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I need to find it. I still want to set a 962s. Those that'll happen at some point.
Matt:Jeremy, what's so do you have a limit like the most you'll spend and game something?
SPEAKER_01:Uh most I will comfortably spend. Like if it came down to it and I won one of those Wednesday morning auction things on Scotty, I would probably pay$3,500 for a putter.
Matt:And and game it?
SPEAKER_01:I would game it. I think it'd be tough after above that. And it for even like$2,500, it's I have a little more variance in what I would accept, but for$35, it would have to be the perfect one. After that, I'm selling it probably. What about you, Jim?
Joe:Buy it and selling it. I mean, what is the most I spent was for the Strokes gain, which was$800 from Roars, but I mean that was I I got that off a ten dollar off a ten dollar bet. So yeah, I don't even know. It's I mean, I I guess I'd have to say 800. I mean, I don't know, because I mean the Logan. Shout out Cliff. Subscribing. Thank you. Also appreciate appreciate that. Uh I'll probably never play that because it's a moment in time that was awesome and uh it was a great day.
SPEAKER_01:And uh I'm not sure that's why I don't play my strokes gained.
Joe:Yeah, that's not my I don't play mine, but I know I don't like the way it feels, but personally I was trying to I was trying to hype it up for Olsen, like it's too good.
SPEAKER_02:But yeah, you know what I won for that tournament? Yes, a one-hour lesson with the pro. Did you use it? Out of all those fucking badass gifts, I won a one-hour lesson with a PGA pro. I didn't win anything.
Joe:From the RebelGolf?
SPEAKER_02:No, from Paiute. Oh, I ended up trading that to um I have the trade right here. Yeah, dude, that was trading that to um to um Allen Golf, the people who made the head covers.
Joe:Oh, yeah, yeah. For some head covers, yeah, yep.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, they traded me the lesson thing for the head covers.
Matt:Let's see.
SPEAKER_02:Who did who did you play with, Dan? Do you remember? I played with them, the all and golf. Okay.
Matt:You played with Karen and Nick and Nick's dad. Their dad, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:I think me, Joe, Peeler, and Reed might have played.
Matt:No, it's you're not right. Joe Reed and Joel from uh Atomic Golf. Atomic Golf.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, that's right. Yeah.
Matt:Yeah. I was with my buddy Andrew, Kyle Peeler, and the guy from Goodwalk Coffee. And let's see, who else was in this? Uh we recognize any other names that we still know. Miles was with Travis Sessler and Scott Volmuler. Miles Gallegos? No, Brown, Miles Brown. Oh. Cliff played with Robbie Nick, Matt Pizarski, and Brian Brown. Um, Gary Tobin played with Mike McKelpin, Rodney Lopez, and Sean Smith, Casey Merch.
Joe:Yeah, Casey.
Matt:King of uh Sunrays. Let's see. Greenley played with Robert Winnig, Mark DeRosa, and Daniel Bacora.
SPEAKER_02:I remember when I got there, I was like, the last to show up. Yeah. And Matt goes, Are you Dan? I go, yep. He goes, Awesome. Here you go. See ya. Oh, here's your car. See ya. Oh I was like, later, thanks for having me.
SPEAKER_04:Do you know what's crazy?
Matt:Is there was because we were supposed to play three rounds of golf. We had 60 players. So three rounds of golf was$175.
Joe:That's crazy.
Matt:That's what the contract is.
Joe:Yeah.
Matt:Wow, have times changed.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, that's that's really that's 18 holes now.
Matt:There I had the list of what everybody won around here somewhere.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, what was there two putters or was there more?
SPEAKER_04:Oh, there was uh there's all kinds of shit.
Matt:There was yeah, there was the Olsen, there was the uh Wood Putter from uh oh yeah, from Hadley from Bradley Putters, the Strokes Gain Putter. There was some Wilson Reggie. Yeah, um I had some US T Mamiya Shafts, I had a Wilson bag.
SPEAKER_02:Um Nick won the Wilson bag, the guy I played with, and then his girl won the Kraken Crayon tool.
Matt:Oh, yeah, there was that.
SPEAKER_02:I remember all that shit holistic.
Matt:Yeah, god, there was so much stuff, so much stuff. I find that I just saw it the other day, and I'm like, whoa, that's cool.
SPEAKER_01:Was that June of 2020? Yeah, yeah, that's like two months after I moved here.
Matt:Really?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, it's crazy. Yeah, that was two months after I moved here, and it's crazy that Dan was there and we didn't know him until like a few months after that, I think.
SPEAKER_02:Yep. I remember Jay, the first time I met you was at National. Yep, and then Joe, the first time I met you was at uh TPC Vegas when you and Mikey, you and Mikey Bushuno won that second place or whatever it was in that event.
Joe:I I got paired with Cliff it was me and Adam, right? Oh, it was you and Adam. That's who I was.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, you and Adam. And me and Cliff got paired together. Okay, we played with Jeremy in that event. I remember Jeremy. I forgot Jeremy. Who did you play with in that event, Jay? Crazy.
Matt:I can't remember.
SPEAKER_02:I don't remember either.
Matt:So in the swag bag, we had the grinding golf head cover, the Legends Never Die head cover, the atomic golf ball marker, a dozen Wilson balls, the Goodwalk Coffee Tumblr, Goodwalk Coffee mug, um, the the Legends Never Die golf tees, the Legends Never Die Towel from Eagle Par Birdie Golf, the glove from Northwest Golf, head cover from KC Golf, stickers, and the cigars.
SPEAKER_02:You had the best, you had the best swag bag of any tournament I've ever been a part of, Matt. It was really good.
Matt:It was pretty good. It was pretty good. And then so the raffle items. We had a closest to the pen was a tailor-made wedge, um, a print of the 15th hole from Brian Orr, and a Strokes Gain ball marker. Um, and then let's see. So the Strokes gain putter went to Jeremy. Uh, the Fat Choi Cafe$25 gift certificate went to Joe.
Joe:I don't even remember, I don't even remember using that.
Matt:We gave away four of those. I'm sure I traded that to somebody. There was uh ball marker and divot tools from 310 golf. Um Brian Brown won. Stymie Golf head cover and valuable pouch was Cadwell Collins. Uh 18 Birdie Premium for a year was Peeler. Uh Kraken was Karen Lassnow. Karen Lesnow. Yeah, Karen Lesnow. Wilson Golf Wedge was Kyle Peeler. Uh, we had three Wilson bags. Nick, Cadwell, and Jeff Baker won those. Um Brickley Golf. It was just I just have your swag. So I don't know what it was, but some guy named Eric won that. Sneaker head cover company, head cover, t-shirt, and a print. Uh Gary won that. True Linkswear was a bag, a shirt, hat, and some shoes. Daniel Pakor won that. Travis Matthews was a$250 gift card. Robert Camper won that. Two uh UST Mamia Link shafts. That was Michael Vasegas, Michael Villigus, and Nick Lastnow Sr. Oh, Sean Rowe. That's who your lesson was from. Oh golf instruction, Daniel Hodges. All in golf company covers. Uh VA golf shaft. Uh my buddy Randy won that. Carbon putters. That's right. There was uh guy carbon putters, Derek Jones won that. A set of Haywood wedges.
Joe:Haywood golf of my dad. Brian Brown won that.
Matt:Yeah, golf of my dead BGT golf shaft. Scott V won that. Uh True Tech Putter. That was one of the um BGT brands. Um True Tech Putter. The Jason Burnett, he was in it. He won that. Ricky Johnson putter, Orhe as Liligus won that. Bradley Putter, Gary Tobin won that. The Olsen Putter, Cliff. I have Cliff Friedman, that's what Erica wrote down. Uh and then there was a Hanma driver, a drone. Uh, I remember Miles won the drone, didn't he? I don't remember. And uh Pete Dye. It says Pete Guy Dice Staff Reed won that. Pete Dice Staff. I can't Erica wrote it down. It Pete Dice stuff. I think that guy that sent me that flag for you, he sent some other things as well. Pete Dice Ashes. Pete Dice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Shes from Cabo del Sol or uh Casa de Congo.
Matt:Yeah, and we were charging, what were we charging? 250 bucks to play. 250. 250. Yeah, because it was 350. And when we lost one of the courses, it went down to 250.
SPEAKER_01:I know that was a lot of work, but that was such a good time.
Matt:That was a fun event because it wasn't what I liked. What I liked about it is it wasn't a tournament. It was just let's go have let's just go golf.
SPEAKER_01:And it was hot. I just remember it's hot. That was like my welcome to Vegas play in the summer afternoon round heat.
Matt:It's like I would take 175 to play in a tournament at Paiute, you know, for 18 holes right now. God.
SPEAKER_02:Would it be would it be uh uh a good idea to maybe host a tournament like that to maybe raise funds for either Vegas Golf Network or our podcast? Would it be worth our time? Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Probably not at Pio Charge.
SPEAKER_02:No, probably not at PyO. Maybe Boulder Creek's Boulder Creek. I'm just saying if there's like a way where you know we could host a tournament and do try to get you know the VGN guys to play in it and maybe you know make us a thousand bucks so we can fucking take a couple days and go play somewhere or put that towards uh put that towards a uh for Hadley auction.
Joe:That would be cool to play all three at Boulder Creek. That would be awesome.
Matt:Yeah, maybe we're gonna think about well. I uh I told Jeremy that um more than likely, it's like 90% that 26 is gonna be the last year for the VGN of me running.
Joe:Buying the van. Buying the van.
Matt:Well, I it it's 27 is gonna be chaotic for me. I got Brooklyn graduating high school, Emma graduating college, don't know where Brooklyn's gonna go, so I'm sure we're gonna be going on trips where she's gonna go. I get it. I want to go, you know, I want to do more with you guys, you know. I I mean I love the VGN and I love everything that we've done. And but it's just it's getting so hard to book courses now. And you know, after hearing some of the staffers talking about local tournaments and and how they hate them, you know, and me sitting there and them not knowing that I run local tournaments and hearing these guys just yeah, dog shit us, you know, it's like, well, fuck, no wonder no one wants to work with us, you know. Yeah, yeah, because nobody wants to work with us.
Joe:So yeah, they're chasing those uh those tourists trying to get that extra buck.
Matt:I get it. They were like, uh no, I'm not gonna book you for 30 players on a Saturday morning in prime rate, uh, at a local rate. Because as soon as I hang up the phone, those spots are filled at 10 times that price.
Joe:Well, it's it's the it's the whatnot versus eBay. It's you know, take a sure thing, make some money, know what you're bringing in, or uh wait it out. Maybe the economy dies, maybe maybe nothing, you know, maybe people quick golf and you throw it on eBay and it doesn't sell. So it's I live it on a cloud. So
SPEAKER_02:But I do like your idea about playing more golf with us, Matt. That's nice.
Matt:Yeah. You know, it's just it's going more trips. I mean, Erica said to me, he goes, you know, if if you made minimum wage, you'd actually have a really good salary for as much time as you put into this.
unknown:Yeah.
Matt:Thanks.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, yeah. Shit.
Matt:Uh oh. I just realized I didn't plug something in, but it still worked. Interesting. That's good to know. That's good to know.
Joe:Ghosts.
Matt:Well, the the USB C connected to the computer powers the road streamer. So I just didn't have the power from the plug plugged in. So I freaked out. I thought that wasn't connected to the computer, but it wouldn't have shown up. So we're good. Freaked out there for a minute. I get it. Okay, so we're gonna we're gonna put out the episode. I'll put the episode out Friday. So I'll schedule that. Uh won't be a private episode. Um what's sad. I oh I forgot to mention this during the show. You know, I put out on Instagram, uh, hey, if you have any questions for Preston, send them in. Kyle, Kyle motherfucker. Uh he sent in two questions.
Joe:So it during he loves it. He loves it.
Matt:During the podcast, I said, uh, apparently our listeners. Apparently, our listeners are really good at golf and don't need to get better at putting, so that's good to know. But no, he didn't say he had a he had a couple questions. He had a couple questions you have to listen to. I don't remember that my notes are over there.
Joe:But he knew what he was talking about.
Matt:Oh, yeah, he asked legit questions. Yeah, okay, yeah. I just was shocked that nobody else had any question. I mean, oh okay, I see what you're saying. Yeah, only only one person submitted two questions. You know, I was but again, it's so funny. Nobody knows who Preston is. So I was hoping that me showing his picture and his you know top coach in America accolade would have uh sparked maybe some interest.
Joe:Yeah, I mean, I think a lot of people don't really care much anymore. I don't know. I mean, it's virality, it's not accolades, you know, or something, whatever it is. I don't know.
Matt:Yeah, well, I mean, he his focus is people that play for paychecks. That's who that's who he helps, you know. He's he works with professional golfers, yeah. You know, his his clientele is not the weekend hacker, right? You know, so but it's amazing that if you know he was like get an online lesson or go buy a$350 putter, you know, you could you could get the lesson and improve your putting with your current gamer, or you can go buy a$350 putter and think it's gonna fix your problems and it's not.
Joe:Yeah, maybe for one day, maybe, but oh yeah, not a lot, not a lot because I did that.
SPEAKER_01:Oh yeah, we've all done it. Yeah, it's just some shiny, feel confident, shiny, and then you just put it in your closet and let dust collect on it, just like the rest of them.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, I get so many things, like a mushroom's growing on it.
Matt:Yeah, uh oh, what's he getting now?
SPEAKER_02:I will say though that it's got a camera collection bag. That's the mill spec. Nice.
unknown:He shows it.
SPEAKER_02:Find me a 350.
Joe:So it's got so this has just got to be like age right here. You see that that oh yeah, it's yeah, yeah, it is.
SPEAKER_01:It's that's a carbon.
SPEAKER_04:It's carbon. That's a carbon.
Matt:Oh you need to roll that, Joe. You should. You need to bring that Saturday.
Joe:Does it feel light? Uh no, it feels pretty similar to my strokes game, honestly.
Matt:It's yeah, it's the same design. Dude, that's it's very nice.
SPEAKER_02:That is a gem of a putter, bro.
Joe:Yeah, it's growing. Got this one, the terrarium, the champs choice back here. Scotty Order.
SPEAKER_01:What's is your terrarium uh Santa Fe?
Joe:I think so. It's a flow neck.
SPEAKER_02:Yes, he does have the Santa Fe. It's also very Santa Fe's only came on the flow neck, I think, back then. Yeah, I think the new ports were uh stuffed.
Joe:Yeah, so pack dad pack dad bought this for me. I sold it at Pac Dad.
SPEAKER_01:Who is it?
Joe:Oh Wilson St. Andrew Edition to Iron.
SPEAKER_02:It's a big five special.
Joe:Yeah, but it's I was like, I kind of wanted to keep this pack dad bodies like keep it. So I did, and then David bought me that.
SPEAKER_02:But I what did you buy then?
Joe:I don't I don't remember, I don't know. You know, it was something. No, I no, I don't think I've ever said keep it to somebody. Because I usually say, like, I wasn't gonna run this because like I almost I kind of wanted to keep this, you know, and it's just like hey, we'll just run it because we gotta run something, right? So and then one of those guys will be like, keep it okay, because I'm just looking for stuff to yeah, run, you know. But that's why it gets it gets thrown on the wall. Not to be sold again, never to be instead of saying like instead of saying like rerun, you know, which is a tip, but if they tell me to keep it, it's a gift.
Matt:Hey, look at that. Look at our subscriber count right now. Can you see it?
Joe:Uh over 800. Oh, 777.
Matt:Crib seven crib sevens.
Joe:Dude, Jason, the slice has found his way. I love it. He's killing it, he's doing really good. He he says throw sevens in the chat because we're from Vegas.
SPEAKER_04:Yeah, he's he's on almost every day. I know he's still doing breaks and stuff.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, that's all he does. Yeah, hey, why not? These people are dumb enough to pay$30 for a sleeve of balls and a fucking four pack of teas.
Joe:Yeah, I don't do it very often.
SPEAKER_02:I do it too.
Joe:It's crazy.
Matt:It's wild, but people do it. Yeah, yeah, how long it lasts, but yeah. I mean, he's got what six, seven putters and a bag and some other shit up there. I mean, plenty of stuff for people to choose from. So it's like, oh, you didn't win today, come back tomorrow. Yeah, he usually has some pretty good stuff for the book.
Joe:He has really good stuff, yeah.
Matt:Oh, yeah, fantastic stuff, but I don't know, the sleevable. I did it, I but I did one, I bought one entry just to just to see. And uh I mean, if you're all still in the mailbox.
Joe:Problem is, is if you're a gambler and you have like that a gambling addiction. Ooh, that's bad. If you can do it, I mean, if if you're the type of person like, hey, I'm gonna go to the casino and throw 40 down, maybe 80 down a day and gamble, like that's kind of my style, right? So, like maybe once a week I'll be like, Oh, I'll throw 40 bucks down on a long shot, you know. Yeah, especially if I'm modded and I I've been commenting a lot because you I think it's engagement helps you win or first-time purchases.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, but you getting that button back was huge, though, too.
Joe:Oh, yeah, made it all worth it. Yeah, yeah. But I mean, I didn't won shit.
Matt:I did win one thing and I gave it away on the show.
Joe:Yeah, I mean, there's people that I mean, you didn't win a buyer's, you wanted followers, yeah. But I'm just I won something, it doesn't matter what it's real, it's real because people are out there that have addictions and it's just feeding.
Matt:Oh, yeah, another way, it's yeah, it's a different way to see your pornography.
SPEAKER_04:A new unique way, yeah.
Joe:It's an expensive porno. When you're like when you win, you're like, whoa, whoa, you know, it's a dopamine hit for sure. 100%.
Matt:Hey, eight subscribers now on stage and chasing daylight clips.
Joe:There's the four of us, and then four more. Nice, yeah, yeah. I was already thinking it's so weird.
Matt:This this video is of Joe laying on the ground recording me abandoned got what oops, hang on, damn it. That view or that video got 1700 views, and then Joe teen off at uh Black Mountain or Black Desert got four.
Joe:That's so weird.
SPEAKER_04:Four.
SPEAKER_01:Can you auto-post to Twitter or uh to TikTok? Uh auto post like yeah, like schedule post or so you don't actually have to use it, you can just like send your post to TikTok.
Matt:Um I don't know. I'd have to I I think I can share to TikTok. Let's see. Let's just try this one to see what happens.
SPEAKER_01:We still have a we still have a page on there, right?
Matt:Yeah. Uh TikTok doesn't come up on the other things. I'd have to look and see.
SPEAKER_01:As much as I hate TikTok, I just think that they're crushing all the other shorts anyway. It's wild because it's just a different demographic, too. It's young, teenagers, yeah.
Matt:It yeah, it's a lot of a lot of young kids. It comes from China. Dan's putting at uh LBCC uh was the last one that I put on there, and that did well. I got 900. I was testing out the uh the show clips on there, and I mean they're getting some views, but it's the dance, it's the air hump that brought him in. The air hump brought him in.
SPEAKER_01:I got this guy's pelvic thrust.
Matt:But this guy has ribs like you're almost all one Dan at Popstroke got 3,000 on TikTok. Us at Atomic Golf got like 3,500. Uh the choke that I got got 6,900.
SPEAKER_02:We're just gonna have to be lame and get on TikTok if we want some exposure. That's pretty much what it comes down to.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I just think like like we're just we're not the guys that are rolling golf carts and like we're happy Gilmoring, and you know.
SPEAKER_02:But the thing is though, we play with guys that do roll golf cards today.
SPEAKER_01:That's very true.
SPEAKER_02:We need to keep we need to keep those cards ready to go.
SPEAKER_01:We need that GoPro running it all together.
SPEAKER_02:I wish we could have been, I wish we could have recorded what we saw that one time. Oh, that would have definitely got over fucking a million views.
Joe:Oh, for sure. If you're one of our subscribers and still listening to this, you can send us a message on your thoughts, and that's how we'll know that you're listening. What do we do? What do we do to grow?
Matt:Uh, I think we're doing the right thing. Well, uh, I told uh Jeremy was helping me earlier today get it going. Um, I forgot that I had bought the chasing daylight podcast.com domain a while ago when I had it routed to that uh what was it called? Uh pod something. Yeah, but it was a page or whatever. Pod page, yeah. Um so I have redone that and I I'm I started um building that web page now. Oh yeah. Um bring it up and I'll show you.
SPEAKER_01:We can when I get done with the ranking sheet, we can embed that on the site somewhere. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Let's see, where is share, share, share, share.
Matt:Window tab share.
Joe:So oops. What if we did what if we did a video, like a real video, like have someone film it? And then we did like a video where it's like uh you know, full house intro. Yeah, like and it's like it's like I hit a shot and I'm like whatever happened to the milkman and the paperboy, like Dan hits a little stinger and he's like turns around. I turn around and give it like a Mentos fucking mentos commercial with you have leave up in your bag, you hit the shot and you like hit it real tight, and then you just pop another ball like uh that's good at video, and we think of a few of those things.
Matt:Um here's what the website looks like right now. Um, so I'll slowly start pulling this off of 1440 so that doesn't get any more traffic going to it. Uh but the main page, I've got our most recent episode. I've got five. So this has uh 20 episodes, I think. 20, yeah, 20 episodes will be right there. The most recent 20. Then I got five campus episodes there. Uh our social channels and a contact us. Um, the about page, I got a build. Um, I've got the show host here. Dan, I need a bio from you, so write something up.
SPEAKER_02:I was gonna say, geez.
Matt:Uh this is uh all the episodes.
SPEAKER_02:I piss excellence. I piss we can make that bigger if you want.
Matt:Yeah, I the the code only allowed me to uh add depth to the page. It didn't allow me to add depth to this, so I'll let you get in there and and rework that because I'd like that to fill up down here with all the episodes. Uh so that's that. Uh there's a blog page I just put, I don't know if we'll ever do anything. Um, I'm gonna move the store over and then the contact page I'll build. So but then I'm gonna I'm gonna build a guest page uh and we'll have that with all the links to the episodes.
SPEAKER_01:So do you have our banner for Garson on there?
Matt:They must have missed it if you didn't uh yeah, when I I let's see, I had it on on something that I have a uh a side panel on, it it'll have it.
SPEAKER_01:So if I do this to yes, you know what would be cool, and I was thinking about this after you were showing me all the grips the other night. Is if we have one of every grip, maybe going through each grip, talking about it, just posting a video about it. I think like when the people that are you know on the podcast or whatnot, they might not know which kind of grip they want or what each grip the difference is.
Matt:Yeah, we could totally do that.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah.
Matt:I'll get with them and and make sure we have all the verbiage right and and uh you know make sure that we don't uh leave anything out. Leave anything out. So that we got stickers, we've got the new website. So um no, the the guy from Think Media, uh, he was he had something that he posted the other day, and it was uh is your business struggling? I know it is. You know why I know because you have a link tree in your bio. And um I was like, I was like interesting, you know, because I don't know if you've ever seen what's on ours. Um hi Quinn.
SPEAKER_02:Hi, little Katie.
Matt:Right? Bring this up and I will show you guys again. Share screen.
Joe:No, no, how about that?
Matt:No so on IG, if you click on this right here, it takes you to the uh bio page, and this is what it goes to. Uh so it's got why is that delaying? Come on. There, okay, yeah. So here's the page. Uh so it's got all the links to the website, podcast, Spotify, all this. Here you can subscribe to premium, the latest episodes, clicks to all our Instagram pages, Garson with the code, golf stop, RogerGolf.
Joe:All right, they're going to bed, and I'm gonna run to the store. So I'll catch y'all later. Tootles, TFN.
Matt:Uh, and then I got the Vegas rankings down at the bottom. So uh I've always thought this was nice, you know, it looks professional. Um, we don't get a ton of clicks on it, we get some, but not a ton. And so uh after watching uh him talk about, you know, if you have I know you're struggling because you have a link tree, um, you're you're giving people too many choices. If you if you have a link tree, then they open up the link tree, and then you have options and you're giving people choices where you have one link, everything is on that page that you send them to, you're gonna have a better response rate. So uh that's what made me go, okay. We need to get the website going again.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Then you can also control, like if you want to change info on there all the time or yeah, put the latest post, the latest uh episode.
Matt:Well, and I and I go and I update that every week. It's like when the episode goes live, I go in, I add the link, I change the title, I add the link, I change the title, you know. So it's it's just another step that I won't have to worry about because it's on the website now, you know. And if you click the link on our profile, it takes you. The website, everything is right there. So why pay for that service? We don't need it. So the powder, liquid death? Not as good. I don't even know they had powder. Yeah, they have powder packets. A little gritty.
SPEAKER_04:A little gritty, but uh, what flavor do they make in the powder?
Matt:Uh all the same ones, I believe. That was the cherry one.
SPEAKER_02:Cherry obituary.
Matt:Yeah, it's it's okay. Not great. But get you through. Get you through. Yeah, so I I think we're doing good. I think we're doing good. I think we're doing good.
SPEAKER_02:Word.
SPEAKER_01:We when we go to landman, we should uh I don't have any equipment, cameras, mics, stuff like that, but maybe we should get a couple things. Or like even just like phone like phone mount things that we can easily just haul around with us when people are hitting and dude.
Matt:The cameras on these new phones are we oh my god. So we can totally do it with that.
SPEAKER_01:And the mics that you have connect to them, right? Bluetooth.
Matt:Yep, yep. I've got I've got the road, I've got a couple different wireless mics. I've got the road, the really good road ones, and I've got the small one too.
SPEAKER_02:We should do that. We should do some mic depth footage out there.
SPEAKER_01:We should do some vlog like getting to the airport and getting in the Omaha or wherever we land and driving and stopping it. Dude, we gotta do it right from the get-go.
SPEAKER_02:Like when we pick each other up and go.
SPEAKER_01:Yep.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. Get all the behind the scenes shit. I agree.
Matt:I'm weird. Instagram trip.
SPEAKER_02:I'm looking forward to that trip. Yeah, yeah. So how did we decide where we're gonna fly into? Do we want to do Omaha? Do we want to do Minneapolis?
Matt:Were we seriously considering going up to South Dakota and playing with Bob?
SPEAKER_02:Is it gonna be that sounds great to me, but I mean, we're gonna be able to get five out somewhere? We gotta think about that. Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_01:He might have connected. Is he a member of the Watertown Country Club? I have no idea. I thought he was, but we should have well, maybe we should just all we can do is talk to him. Reach out to him and ask him. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Well, actually, too, by that time, Colby will be living out there because Colby's going out there in March. So maybe we should have Colby meet us, then we'll have a group of six.
Matt:Yeah. Yep. We can totally make that happen. Yeah.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:I'm going to start looking at flights and stuff soon, maybe after.
SPEAKER_02:But if we go to Bob's house, what's the closest airport up there? Are we going to have to fly right into Watertown? That's going to probably be two flights.
SPEAKER_04:In a biplane.
Matt:Yeah, the prop duster is going to pick you guys up.
SPEAKER_01:Arriving a stagecoach. Watertown.
SPEAKER_02:Regionally accessible by horseback.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. Let's find out what we're looking at here. Maybe we'll do 20. 26 through 29th-ish?
Matt:Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:26th through 30th? We'll do that.
Matt:We're going to start north and go south, or start south and go north? I don't think we want to do south-north-south.
SPEAKER_01:I don't think so.
Matt:Yeah, that's too that's too much.
SPEAKER_01:19 hours.
Matt:What?
SPEAKER_01:19 hours for what? That's awful. It's uh you fly to Denver, have a long layover, fly to Watertown Regional.
Matt:Right into Watertown, huh?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, from Denver. I'm kind of wondering if there's an Omaha to Watertown.
Matt:Well, if there's a if there's a flight from Denver to there, we can catch a different flight and get to Denver and not have.
SPEAKER_02:I'll tell you what. Last last summer, me, Bob, Colby, and Trey were planning on doing a trip at fell through, but those guys were picking out courses in the Minneapolis area. And Bob laid out like four or five courses that were like pretty sick looking. Deacon's Lodge and some other courses and stuff that were out there. So I bet you they would be willing to meet us out there if we were to set something up.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, yeah, we should do that.
SPEAKER_02:So it happened in the overwater town. I bet you Bob and Colby would come out and meet us for a couple of days and then go back.
Matt:Yeah. Well, and that Mike too said he could that Fox Hollow, he said he could help us get there. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:So I mean that's maybe he'd even go down.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. And we could that'd be awesome. Mike come too. Bring one of his homies, I'll make eight.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah. We should do that for sure. Maybe I think we should do Minneapolis.
unknown:All right.
Matt:Let's option reach out to Bobby. I'll reach out to Bob and Colb. See what he thinks. Um if that's good for him. If that's something they could do, it you know, it all depends on the I'm sure it depends on the flowering season. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. I'm sure Bobby can do it. He's got a staff. Colby might be different because he's gonna be paying for a fucking wedding and uh and uh and you know honeymoon and all that shit. I don't know exactly when they're planning on getting married, but I know that's coming up.
SPEAKER_04:September, wow June, July, August, September, yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Because he said he wants to take her to uh they're gonna go to uh Italy and Greece and shit like that. They're gonna be gone for a couple weeks doing that shit. So I was like, oh that's gonna be a nice trip. That's also but either way, like I said, we'll make it work. Bob joins us, Mike come up. That'd be fun.
Matt:Dan, you froze. Oh, everybody froze. Everybody froze. All right, sounds good to me. Hell yeah. We'll wrap this up.
unknown:Yeah.
Matt:Uh Dan, you're working Saturday, right?
SPEAKER_02:Um, yes. Yeah. Jeremy. The 18th, 19th, 20th, whatever those dates were that boy dad. I should be down for those. I should be the 19th and 20th.
SPEAKER_01:I think I mean off. Yeah, Friday and Saturday, right?
Matt:I told him to. I yeah, what my MRI says, but I'm not gonna find out until the 23rd. So two weeks.
SPEAKER_04:Fingers crossed, homie.
Matt:Yeah, I want that thing replaced. Just get it out. Give me some new shit.
SPEAKER_04:I want some uh what's what's titanium means the uh Wolverine feel Adamantium.
Matt:Adamantium. I want some adamantium. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I'll be good.
