The Chasing Daylight Podcast: Golf Talk, PGA Tour & Gear

360: Paiute in the Fog, Callaway Chrome Tour & The "Joker" Revealed!

Mathew Wangrycht & Joe Keith Episode 360

Two truths can exist at once: golf is thriving, and some of its boldest experiments still can’t find the right stage. We start the year by proving why the local game matters most—new energy in the Vegas Golf Network, a private Facebook group where real debates live, and our fresh “Joker Low Net” format that rewards players who go low! We also welcomed Relic Body Arts as a sponsor and spun up live giveaways because community isn’t a slogan for us; it’s the point.

Gear lovers get plenty to chew on. Callaway refreshed the Chrome Soft family and teased the Quantum driver, with materials and cover tech designed to add speed without sacrificing feel. We talk about where gains might come from, how fitters will test the claims, and why early-access fittings at private clubs can be a cheat code for smarter buying. Then we press into the TGL problem: elite players, clever tech, but buried time slots and an audience left guessing. Our fix is simple—put it on Golf Channel in prime hours, replay it smartly, and partner with OEMs to explain equipment choices in real time so the product tells a story the average golfer can follow.

The heart of the show is a fog-drenched round at Paiute that reminded us why we play. With visibility down, we moved up a tee box, hit more short irons, tightened dispersion, and tied a personal best. It wasn’t about ego; it was about making the course fit the day and the body. That theme rolls straight into putting: a quick posture reset led to a shorter putter and a better stroke. If you can’t reach a studio, grab a roll-out mat, a mirror, and a yardstick to lock in start line and face control. For newer golfers, we lay out a sane gear path—shop quality used sets or get a fit, and if you’re slicing, buy one lesson and actually do the work.

We finish by spotlighting the LPGA at Shadow Creek, a full-field event at a bucket-list course that most fans will never step on. That’s how you build intrigue the right way. The West Coast swing is loading—Sony, AmEx, Farmers, Phoenix, Pebble, Genesis—and we’ll be ready with takes, gear notes, and more community wins.

If this mix of real-world golf, gear honesty, and smarter practice vibes with you, tap follow, share the show with a golf buddy, and drop a review. Your support helps us grow the community and bring you more fittings, giveaways, and deep-dive episodes all season long.

SPEAKER_00:

What is up, everybody? Happy fucking new year. Woohoo. Okay. Happy New Year. I got that up.

Joe:

Dad's home. Dad's home.

Matt:

Dad is home. Dad's back.

Joe:

Back.

Matt:

No more technical blunderfucks from these twats.

Joe:

They don't. Screw that.

Matt:

No, that wasn't. That had nothing to do with you guys. That that was a horrible internet connection.

Joe:

But shut your mouth.

Matt:

Hell yeah, I was just sitting there. It was so funny when Paperfail said, Matt is stressing out watching this. I was just sitting there just doing this.

SPEAKER_06:

There goes our viewers.

Matt:

There goes our viewers. All this hard work for everything. So everybody, thank you so much for being here. He's bored already. Gosh darn it. I tried to make it exciting. You were bored already last week, so trying to make it exciting for you right afterwards.

Joe:

He's used to being bored though. Shout out to Nebraska.

Matt:

Yeah, there's not a lot for you to do out there right now. Zero excitement. So much going on right now. I know it doesn't seem like it, maybe in the golf space for you, but for us, there is a lot going on. We've got uh the giveaway for the free round for the VGN that's gonna happen here shortly. Um, the Tiger Golf League TGL, that's what it's called, has been on for the past couple weeks. Uh, then they were announced today that there's a ladies' version coming. What's up, James? How you doing? Uh I was in New York. We can talk about that. Uh, have a new in-season league kind of tourney thing that's happening with the VGN this year. Uh, played out at Paiute with Jeremy and Matt Boyd and Trey and tied my personal best. That was fun. Kappaloo is supposed to be happening this weekend, but that's not, even though the golf course looks fantastic. We have revamped our Facebook page. We have a private group on there, and I really kind of want to turn that into a place where we can get into some serious conversations and not worry about the you know commenting uh and and hurting somebody's feelings brand-wise or or you know, some things that you feel like you can't say publicly. We're gonna try and have that go on there. So maybe some debates, some good arguments will take place there. So uh for the Facebook fanboys, please check that out. Uh the website is killing it right now. Uh, I got some data back from it today. Ooh, three weeks now. You're so geeked about it, too. I'm sure. Oh my god, I'm so happy about it. Uh, and also want to give some love to Relic Body Arts, our friend Steven Jackson is is now kind of a sponsor of the show.

Joe:

So he's an additional sponsor to the show. I mean, hey, he doesn't, you know, we'll take care of our boy Stevie.

Matt:

Absolutely. Uh what's it say? You all have the same style, not hate on it, though. Love it. We're golfers.

Joe:

Yeah, we're golfers. This is a golf podcast. Brookie, thank you for tuning in. Uh, yeah. I mean, we wear hats, we have glasses, we have golf stuff behind us, and you know that's what it is.

Matt:

I wore this for a reason. Uh Chickape, Massachusetts. That's where the Callaway golf ball plants are.

Joe:

Yes, you could be. Tidal is right there too, right?

Matt:

A cushnet, isn't that where Tidalus is?

Joe:

But isn't that interesting? They're both in the same like area.

Matt:

Yeah, who knows? Maybe they are maybe maybe it's the same ball, and they just don't nobody knows it. Wouldn't that be a shocker?

SPEAKER_06:

Yeah, national enquirer worthy.

Matt:

Yeah, all the golf balls that come out of Massachusetts come from one facility. No. Uh, but Callaway just launched their ZJ Cambier. Let's go. Yeah, Zach Cambier. That's a new member. He's a new member. He's he's here for the for the giveaway. So we'll uh we'll do that here shortly. I'm gonna let everybody get in here that's that's potentially gonna be watching. But yeah, anyway, Callaway just launched, they just announced today three new golf balls, um, a revamping of a revamping of the Chrome Soft, the Chrome Tour, and the Chrome Tour X. Uh, there also is a new cover on the Triple Diamond ball, but it's basically the same ball as last year, just a new paint scheme. But uh so be looking out for those hitting the shelves shortly. The Quantum Driver full release is coming up soon. Uh that announcement will be out, and we'll be talking more about that. Julie and I are back to work this weekend. And uh that is gonna be that's gonna be fun.

SPEAKER_06:

So where are you doing fittings this weekend?

Matt:

Uh we have Summit this weekend. Nice.

SPEAKER_06:

Oh, of course.

Matt:

Way to start the year.

Joe:

Way to start the year.

Matt:

Yeah, well, it's uh the site is doing some really cool stuff. Uh all the the private clubs that spend a ton of money with Callaway. Uh we're hosting these private fitting events for them, and they'll get they'll the people who order on those days will get the driver before it's so it's kind of a a double perk. Get to see it early, get to play it early.

Joe:

So we got 34 people in here. What up, y'all? Hey, yeah, there is a giveaway tonight, y'all. There is a giveaway.

Matt:

Uh yeah, we'll do as soon as you said that it dropped. Thanks, Joe. Oh, there it's gonna happen. Yeah, I've got the giveaway running in the background. Uh, Joe's got a stack of Garchomp stuff over there, so uh he can do a rando poll and we'll give away a grip tonight uh for one lucky listener. And uh yeah, so what do you what do you guys want to get into first? That's so there's so much good stuff to chat about.

Joe:

Yeah, man. Go ahead, Dan.

Matt:

You guys were chatty last week. I was proud of you. I was like, maybe I just need to shut up more.

Dan:

Well, when there's only two people up on on the podcast, you gotta you kind of you're kind of forced. Yeah, you gotta do what you gotta do. But uh, I don't care. We could start off with uh TGL and the lack of coverage or any footage I've seen of it. How about when today?

Joe:

I had no idea until five when it was over. Yeah.

Dan:

Well, that's the thing. Like today I'm flip, I'm at work and I'm flipping through the channels and it says TGL Live on ESPN and it was like 2 30, 3 o'clock. I'm like, what the fuck? Why is this time stuff?

SPEAKER_06:

They didn't fix that from last year.

Matt:

Yeah, I I don't even I just set it up to auto-records, I don't even know what day it comes on. No clue.

Dan:

Evidently Tuesdays, I guess. Oh, is it? Oh, we're going up against TGL.

SPEAKER_02:

No, it's just early in the day.

Joe:

Yeah, so they should rate us. But I got home at like 5 and you know, I jumped on Instagram and says TGL live today at 2 uh 5 p.m. Eastern time, and I'm like, oh well, I missed that one again.

Dan:

That one, yep. Yeah, so uh and then they got like some new guys in there too, like Chris Godder up's in there this year. He's playing with uh I thought that he's playing with uh Cantley and um and Billy.

Joe:

Um Shane's Gorbjorn's anybody watched. So if you watched it in the chat, I wouldn't if you watched it.

Matt:

Well, I I re I went back and watched the last week's with Rory because I just wanted to see you know what they were doing with him and Keegan because you know the little controversy between those two, and now they're teammates. And I mean, you want to talk about it's just I don't know what it's missing. I don't know what it's missing, but it just doesn't feel like it's good TV, right? I mean, with golf on like a tour event, you know what you're gonna expect. You're gonna see a bunch of golf shots, you're gonna see a bunch of people putting, you're gonna be follow the main cruise, you're gonna see a little bit about the golf course, blah, blah, blah. You know, but I watch it to see the good golf shots and see the good golf. I don't know why I'm watching this yet. I don't know what it what I'm there for.

Joe:

Yeah. I mean, I was it was what time was it last night at like was it last night? Like 11:30 at night. They're they're replaying Shell's Wonderful World of Golf. And I'm watching that. I'm watching that, you know, Jack Nick versus Gary Player. Like, I'm watching that, you know? So I don't know, there's something they gotta do. Don't know what it is, but also they need to like maybe replay it at 8 p.m. for West Coast or something like that.

Matt:

Yeah. Well, it I think it was a bad mistake going to ESPN. Um there's just a lot going on on ESPN at night. There's a lot going on on ESPN.

SPEAKER_02:

Good grief.

Joe:

Sorry. Yeah, they can't find like a spot.

Matt:

Yeah, and here's golf channel, like you know, run and reruns of worldwide golf world golf stuff, and it's a perfect spot for it, you know? It's a perfect spot for it. Me every Tuesday.

Joe:

Ultimate troll, bro.

SPEAKER_00:

Oh man.

Joe:

Oh, what happened? What up, Geordie?

SPEAKER_00:

Is it all the Nebraska hate that Joe gives you? Is that what it is? Good lord.

Joe:

No, he loves the hate. That's the thing. He loves the reaction.

SPEAKER_06:

So don't get it. We're the only channel you get in Nebraska, probably.

Matt:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

Ah, there you go. Yeah.

Matt:

Shannon says, not to change the subject, but I'm in the market for a goodwood putter, steering me in the right direction without breaking the bank. The website says they're not taking customers right now. Yeah. Uh that's because he's moving his shop to Tennessee. So the best way, uh, eBay right now, you can find some really good deals on eBay. And then every week he's throwing two putters up there that he's doing an auction on. And I mean this week's there.

Joe:

Two weeks ago, there was one that I was like, yep. Oh, it's you're talking about that on that one.

Dan:

Or Shannon, if you're looking for a G6 or G7 carbon, you could just hit your boy Bogey free 62 up. I have two collecting dust right now. There you go.

Matt:

Oh, you've fully fully gone to the Scotty, huh?

Dan:

Not fully. I've I mean it's in the bag, but I'm there's I'm still hanging on to one of the good ones.

Matt:

Yeah. Yeah. Do you like one better than the other? Or do you like them both?

Dan:

Um I like them both. I don't know which one I like better. It's like trying to choose between your kids. You like them both, but whatever. Yeah, too many.

SPEAKER_06:

You like the round bumpers or square bumpers more? You like round bumpers?

Dan:

I like I like rounded bumpers more than square bumpers.

SPEAKER_06:

I like rounded bumpers too.

Matt:

Yeah. That's a good deal.

Dan:

I'll beat that, Shannon. Hit me up.

SPEAKER_06:

Jeez, I may hit you up.

Matt:

Oh man. Um, all right, so uh TGL. The women's TGL. Did you see that today?

Joe:

Oh, I didn't see that, no.

Matt:

Yeah, so they're gonna have which they're gonna do it at the end of the LPGA season. Um, I don't I don't know why they're waiting so long or why they announced it so soon. Um, to get, I guess to draw some interest in it. But I'm excited for that. Congratulate. Yeah, that the world needs to see more ladies play. So anything they can do to now, if they do the same thing, ESPN at 2 p.m. Central, it's gonna be Yeah.

Joe:

Oh, it'll die. It'll die. Yeah, it'll be terrible.

Matt:

Gosh darn it. I mean, get on golf channel. Come on, that's what it's there for. It's golf content, get it on there exactly.

Joe:

That would make so much more sense than ESPN. I get what they're trying to do, right? They're trying to bring people into the world of golf, but damn big mill in the house. What's up, big mil? How are you looking at it?

Matt:

I mean, ESPN is losing quite a bit right now. The UFC is gone, it's leaving. Uh the a lot of football games are going to, you know, now Netflix and Prime. There's all these other options now that were before it was ESPN kind of held the all the cards, and now all these other streaming services are like if we can do this. You know, yeah.

Dan:

Yeah. I mean, these are doesn't Disney or A own ABC or whatever, something like that now, and owns ESPN too? Yep. Yeah. You know, that could be a lot of it too. You know, they got too corporatized that some people don't, you know, kind of lost their it's too corporatized, so they can't, you know, do a show without getting too many edits or being told to film it this way or get it produced this way, you know. So maybe it's like, fuck it, we'll just leave and try it on Netflix or something.

Joe:

I haven't been able to watch TV very often because Theo has taken over the TV. I'm watching fucking fish shows and bug shows on replay all day. Uh, my first time watching golf channel in probably three or four weeks was last night, and I saw they had the older logo up there. Did that change? Did they bring back the OG golf channel logo?

Matt:

The golf network, golf channel, the golf channel is was part of NBC Sports, but now it's left, it's not a part of NBC Sports anymore or something. I can't remember exactly what it is, but they they're keeping the name the golf channel.

Joe:

Okay. I liked seeing the old logo. I thought it was yeah.

Matt:

It may have been uh when they ran it on golf channel originally, that replay.

Joe:

Yeah, it could have been, yeah. I yeah, that's what I was curious was that's why I was asking because it was Shell's Wonderful World of Golf, so it could have been the old one. Uh I don't recall when Shell's Wonderful World of Golf died, but I do believe that golf channel premiered in like '95, somewhere around there. Shut out Armin.

Dan:

Yeah, I think it was early 90s, yeah.

SPEAKER_00:

I mean they had one at Pyute.

unknown:

Yeah.

Joe:

Yeah.

Dan:

Didn't they have Red Couples or see it? That's fucking they've had some, they've had some at some of the best courses in the world. They've had Shell's Wonderful World of Golf and Pine Valley and shit. Yeah, I mean, it was a great series back in the day, and I wish they would bring that back and showcase some of the newer, sicker courses. Yeah, you know, yeah. Can you imagine like like Scotty and and and and Rory at like a Hoopie or some shit like that? Tune in for that.

Joe:

Oh, bro, dude. Right.

Matt:

Keegan here's another new VGN member this year. He says no PGA tournament in Vegas again this year, but I heard the LPGA Shadow Creek tournament is worth watching in person. Yeah, yeah, it is. And now they're that's gonna be a full-filled event, not a uh match play event. So that'll that'll be better.

Dan:

Just being out in Shadow Creek in person doesn't matter what tournament it is.

Joe:

I think that's one of the things that's so great about that event is like most people will never step foot on that property, and like it gives you an opportunity to buy a ticket and see the place in person, and then you're like, Oh, I'm gonna pay$1200 one of these days and play here. You know what I mean? So it's that's what it is.

Matt:

So that I'm sure this is in regards to TGL, but give them give them a random bag of old clubs when they play, bring in some OG golfers for certain nights, do individual rankings plus teams. Yeah. I mean, there's there's a bunch of things they could do. I just yeah, I'm just not sure exactly why I am tuning into this. The I mean, there's so many different ways that they could approach it from the gear side to what club they're hitting and and what you know, bring up stats for what they've done. I mean, led led the league last year with 0.56 points per hole. I have that was a Justin Rose stat. I'm like, what the hell does that even mean? Yeah, why do I care about that stat?

Joe:

I I think if they were smart, they would it and they would collaborate with the OEMs and be like, this is the quantum. He's playing the quantum this year. Quantum is designed like this, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, and then play last year's stats, and they'd be like, he increased his ball speed by one mile an hour, whatever it is, like uh and make it more interactive, and like it's I mean, we're moving in the future, right? So it's like you you you gotta move it forward somehow. So like create a way to keep people's attention because in this world that we're living in, it's like and it's you get a 30 you get a 30-second fix every 30 seconds. Yep. So it's like you gotta find a way to get everybody their dopamine hit real quick because that's the way the world's going.

Matt:

All right, let me let me bring up the screen to share the uh giveaway. Let's see, share screen, window, here we go, share it. There we go. There is the old wheel of names. Everybody that entered is good colorway on the wheel there. You like that? This one looks like UNLV-ish. Very, very UNLV-ish. Kind of uh, you know, the card sweets.

unknown:

All right.

Dan:

Well, speaking of UNLV-ish, Matt, don't forget, I got I got tickets to the basketball games if you want to go.

Matt:

Okay. Absolutely. All right, so this is how we this is how we do this. Uh this is the wheel of names. Everybody that is entered is on here. I will let everybody know that Marcus Barfield said there's a good chance he's not gonna make the tournament. So if his name is drawn, I'll draw a second winner. And uh if he can't make it, then you'll get the free entry. But I'll have him make sure to let me know in plenty of time so that player can you know get the free entry and not have to pay. All right, so uh this is how we do it. Uh, somebody out there that uh is in the chat, give us uh uh number between one and five.

Matt:

Dan:

Matt:

So all these people signed up for the the season before the end of the year, and that's how they were in this. So uh, and then also Joe, myself, Jeremy, and Dan are not on this, uh, just because we want to make sure we keep it fair.

Joe:

So I might be in it as someone else.

Matt:

I might be in it as that's bullshit. I'm in there, and also the four people that won the free membership are not in this. So, all right, here we go. Uh, one, two, three shuffles, and spin the wheel.

Joe:

The wheel of Vegas Golf Network.

unknown:

Dan:

Matt:

Yeah, I think so.

unknown:

Yeah.

Matt:

I think so. All right, so he's the second runner up. And we'll do one more.

Joe:

Just took Tommy Pablano. Tommy Pablano in there ones. Jermaine Pablano.

Dan:

Jermaine Pablano. Yeah. Oh, what does that say? Matt Wainwright? Summon score. Oh Mike V.

Joe:

Vas Vegas.

Matt:

SPEAKER_02:

Matt:

I mean I was walking down the street I had never seen fog like that in Vegas we get it up here occasionally just because of the elevation so but it was I mean there wasn't any fog in my house I had to go down the hill to get into the fog. You were above the fog yeah I was above the fog and then all the way till the 15 all the way to 15 it was it was not good visibility it was and I was like oh man this is gonna be this is gonna be wild driving on the 15 but the 15 it was cleared up and then we what was it the third hole yeah it was the the third hole when we yeah we left the two T box or two green and went to the third T box and it was like boom here it is yeah you could see it like coming off the mountains towards the course and it just engulfed the whole property that was so cool. I was I I like no joke very jealous yeah I hope you guys enjoyed it and lived in every single fucking moment and did it for the moment it was so cool and the videos we posted on on the ID Facebook for the moment it was the only time I've ever played in fog like that was at San Clemente Muni and bro like you just hit it and you're like I think I hit a cut so I'm gonna look over this way like that's what we did we hit it and went let's go find it let's go find it and so it's it was uh it was a wild time but the the course was wet and dewy all the way through to the I mean Jeremy that video I posted of Jeremy hidden the fairway wood on on that was on 17 yeah it was still splashing so yeah I was pretty happy even with my bummed up knee uh I did I did old man golf I said fuck it I'm I'm not you know play the red tease not that far not that far I played the white tease and you know right at 6,000 yards and it was so funny because I talked with Preston Combs yesterday shout out Preston Combs go listen to that episode fantastic guy loves putting amazing putting teacher go check out that episode um but I was talking with him yesterday and was telling him how uh you know I don't I don't hit it far uh so it's cold let me just move up try to enjoy the day a little bit more because if I have this surgery I don't know how many more rounds of golf I'm gonna get you know before or after uh so let's just kind of go you know enjoy the moment and I was like this is kind of a different level of golf you know I'm used to hitting hybrids seven woods and you know six irons into into greens out of Paiute and I was hitting you know nine irons and pitching wedges and I'm like you know my dispersion on the greens went from this to this and I'm like no wonder Trey and Dan and Joe are so fucking good because they're all the way down here. I have no it's a completely different game you know and and I was around the green on every approach shot if not on it and I was able to chip really good. I chipped one in had a chip ski inner on 10 birdied 11 and then had a string of pars all the way to the last hole and and uh had a had a par putt for my first underpar round and just didn't make it but yeah that was exciting it it was it was definitely an experience that I haven't had in a long time being playing with a little bit of confidence into the into the greens so what course were you guys playing were you guys playing snow no no no what course were you on in the fog uh snow at Piute Snow snow snow yeah yeah man Piut special I just got a I just got a text from my my my homie surf shack Matt he is playing sim golf right now he's playing number one at Banner Dance said wait till 16 don't hit it right start but no yeah snow and snow and fog too like the probably the third hole is the 4-5 that goes it goes down and then you got the water and Jeremy we couldn't see the green we could just see the people on the green and their carts we could barely make it out and but you couldn't see the flag you had to like stare and then finally catch the little hint of yellow and it was it was fun it was it was definitely different.

Joe:

I hope to see one of those days again I highly recommend it to anybody that can play golf in the fog go do it yes Jeremy and I were out there he uh Jeremy brought Zayn out yeah knocked the dust off the clubs for Zayn and uh we went out there and played we we're gonna posted we played up what's that uh Jeremy posted a video of Zane swinging it was yeah yeah man we were we were we did off at what 1250 Jay yeah and then we got done we squeezed in all 18 before it got dark and we were following a five sum uh for some reason there was a five sum out there good for that five body keeping up the pace let's go yeah I mean we waited on them for probably 13 or 14 of the holes but uh yeah for five some they moved but uh yeah I didn't think I didn't think we were gonna be able to finish I did I didn't either I didn't either but uh Jay was hitting some bombs out there like if what hole was that Jay where you had like you had like 70 yards in that party yeah 15 yeah on the over the right side it's that little dog leg right and I thought he was too far right yeah yeah 70 yards yeah you hit it like 360 it was an absolute bomb but it was a crazy day like I holed out on on our second shot from 107 like I was hole one just a crazy start it was and yeah yeah the very first role I had a I had 170 yards in and I hooped it it was crazy hey James James is saying he played he played wolf the other day was fantastic wish we could get a tournament out there again I have an email into them so fingers crossed yeah I hope so yeah if you're coming to Vegas you cannot go wrong with Pi we say it all the time if you're coming to Vegas and you want to play golf in spectacular conditions as always hit it Matt Boyd he's a big winner on the podcast giveaways but you can hit him up he'll book the tea time for you shout out Matt Boyd five time winner chances are he's got call spots booked right now anyway so uh yeah so we had a group of two dads and their kids and they were young they were probably I don't know what thir twelve thirteen Jeremy and the the boys were playing from the red tees and but we were waiting on them on every shot but they still played in 350.

Matt:

Yeah good so good for them then they apologized when we were in the parking lot yeah they apologized because we were like riding them the whole day yeah Jeremy almost killed one of them on uh well what old is that I don't know maybe oh eight nine nine yeah yeah yeah I mean just just play fast play quick don't hold people up that's all people care about especially if you're first out if you're first out you better be moving you better be moving cooking cooking cooking yeah you're holding up the rest of the day just play fast respect the course I'm on the podcast I'm thirsty baby I don't care he's like I don't care you're dead you're dead right now podcast podcast I'm thirsty thirsty grab the Gatorade get a Gatorade I'm kidding get get one I'll I'll open it go yeah I'll say that's what we call it peyote yeah that's too funny um so I I'll go back to New York real quick I had a great time uh that was Beth page it it was cold it was very cold uh the it was neat scening during Christmas time there's a ton to see I mean we went before and did all the sightseeing wasn't as creative now with all the holiday decorations the you know Rockefeller Plaza and the tree we went and saw the Rockettes their Christmas show and Saxfield Avenue the light show and and all the shops and everything it was it was a lot of fun it was so many damn people I mean like wow so many damn people I couldn't believe how many people at some time but uh yeah it was it was pretty cool got to go into the G4 store uh that's one thing that I've wanted to do uh when we were out there uh bought myself a uh a cashmere beanie that I didn't realize was a cashmere beanie until they rung me up but by then it was too late I was committed even though my wife was staring at me like this when she heard how much it was but I've got a really nice cashmere g4 beanie now and I wore it the rest of the time and it's it's really nice. And then we did some we did some shopping in in Soho which was I'd never been to the Soho area we've been to Washington square and walked around had some pizza but uh we hadn't gone to Soho before so walked around there tons of shops uh it has a little bit more of a New York feel to me without the park park avenue hustle and buzzle and uh went into the golf weighing store saw that that was pretty pretty interesting. You know there's a guard out front that unlocks the door and lets you in uh you know it's it's yeah I wanted to get a t-shirt but it was 50 bucks and I'm like I just bought a$100 uh cashmere beanie I don't think cashmere beanie with my beanie uh so we left but then after that this was a shocker because we don't have one out here we went into a uh unique unique is that how it's pronounced uniqlox that Adam Scott wears and we don't have a store out here so I've never been into one and that stuff is very affordable I I thought it was gonna be like high end super expensive it's not and it's really good quality they have some thermal uh men's tights and uh shirts and it says in negative four degrees I was like oh okay and it was 20 29 dollars and so I bought the tights almost like an HM.

SPEAKER_06:

It's like it's tights kind of like that yeah it is the thermals thermal tights okay like yoga pants you could be walking right in front no no no no the thermal long underwear better okay they used to have a store here they had one here a few years ago unique loaded yeah no I checked it says that they they don't have one well they don't have one here they did they had one but the closest one now is Costa Mesa and yeah I got Joy and the boys love wearing that stuff so we're going there this weekend really I mean that I got the the minus four thermal shirt it is like arguably one of the most comfortable shirts I've ever worn and it is so fucking warm it's like unbelievable toasty he was feeling toasty that's me but you know what I wasn't cold and it was 26 degrees outside so you should get those giant Ug boots the fur really furry ones to go with your yoga pants yeah it's like Tom Brady that'd be sick that'd be sick I'd make good luck make sure get my chasing daylight logo on it hey speaking of Tom Brady who's gonna be our new head coach of the Raiders Tom Brady to be head coach and quarterback like Randall Cunningham Randall Cunningham new head coach of the Raiders did you hear somebody with firefighting skills to put out that dumpster fire.

Matt:

Did you hear Rich Eisen's latest speculation about Indiana's coach? Yes. Yeah, I heard that shit. I mean, we don't need a quarterback. Stop. We don't need a waste of draft pick on a quarterback. Because the same thing's going to happen to him that happened to Genty this year.

Dan:

Offensive line is going to get they're going to get a quarterback for sure. I think. I think there's there's going to be no doubt with that first pick. But I mean you never with the Raiders though, you just don't know. That O-line is trash. It's so bad.

SPEAKER_06:

It's Raiders are Raiders are going to end up trading that first pick for like five like third-round picks.

Dan:

They could. They should. They need all the help they can get.

Matt:

Yeah. They need to draft as many linemen as they can. They need a lot of fucking help. Because it's not good. Or move Max to the O-line and just let him do the beats on the O line.

Dan:

You know, I mean, I I I hate to say it because I've been a Raider fan for a long time, but I I hate to say it, but I I could see them trading Max, you know, getting what they can out of him. It sucks. While he's still valuable, and it sucks to see players like that go, but you know, it is what it is. They're they're so far away from being even remotely competitive.

Matt:

It's fucking ridiculous. And then the did you see the report today about the agent for one of the offensive linemen? Did you see that one?

SPEAKER_03:

Mm-mm.

Matt:

Yeah, one of the agents said that the offensive line, Genty and uh Gino were all meeting privately to discuss blocking schemes because they did not agree with how they were set up to do blocking.

Dan:

Doesn't surprise me. Oh anyway, welcome to the uh Las Vegas Raiders podcast there, ladies and gentlemen.

Matt:

In other Vegas sports news, did you hear the Las Vegas Athletics were denied uh the name? Yeah, they're saying that they're not gonna be allowed to use the name Las Vegas Athletics that they uh or or Vegas Athletics, yeah.

Joe:

Las Vegas Athletic Club fucking blocking it. Somebody is L V A C blocking it. You know what maybe it was funny because uh the good change the fucking name trash name anyway. It's a fucking trash name anyway. Fucking pick something else.

Matt:

The SNGA, the Southern Nevada Golf Association, our golf association, has now merged with the Northern Nevada Golf Association, and we are now Nevada Golf. And my friend Brian Seal, who coaches up in Reno, has the Nevada Golf IG page, and it's like that's hilarious. It's like you guys, I just don't like Nevada because I liked the SNGA. You can't say the Nevada Golf, it just doesn't just doesn't roll off the tongue properly.

Dan:

Yeah.

Matt:

So yeah, settle down. Nevada athletics. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So Clark County Ace. Some uh there's some butthurt Oakland fan that's holding on to the naming rights in Oakland somewhere that bought Las Vegas Athletics domain name.

Joe:

Yeah, that's probably Payment Phil. Probably Payment Phil probably did that, I bet.

Dan:

Stinking ahead.

Joe:

Uh stinking way ahead. He probably tried to find hiddengreens.com when I saw him.

Matt:

Oh, no, no Kappa Lua this year. Do you think Kappa Lua ever comes back as the opening tournament, or do they just need to find a new place?

SPEAKER_06:

I could see it coming back. I could see it coming back.

Dan:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

I could see it coming back for sure.

Matt:

Yeah, I I would like it to watch. It's fun to watch. I mean, that's one of the first tournaments I ever watched. The course is in fantastic shape. And all the stuff that's going on is a lot of plumivity and not reality.

Dan:

It seems to me like there's always um, you know, I know there's usually politics behind every decision over there, but like it always seems to me that there's always like some kind of civil unrest between like natives and people who want to like corporatize certain areas, and unfortunately the golf course, you know, kind of suffers in that aspect. But it wasn't there originally, so yeah, and then and then I think that's if I'm if I'm correct, maybe I'm wrong, but isn't it near where the fires were too?

Matt:

It's not that Lahaina's not that far away, yeah.

Dan:

Yeah, so you know they still you know going through all that stuff too.

Matt:

So yeah. Yeah, but there was there was water rights issues going on, kind of like Coyote Springs.

Dan:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Matt:

We will see. We will see.

Joe:

Yeah. I mean, I would hope to see it back again. Yeah, it'll be a Sony tournament. Great tournament.

Matt:

I kind of want to watch professional golf this weekend, and it sucks because you know Harry was in it again, and uh now we gotta wait for the Sony. Um, not sure how great that field's gonna be. I don't know, we'll see. But the uh so many great courses, though.

Dan:

They could find a spot. Yeah, so many so many great courses out there. Go play Nanea, go show the world some Ninea. Oh my god, can you imagine? Uh yeah, why not? I mean why not? They go they go 30 under at three or four other locations, might as well go 30 under there. Yeah, but show that course, you know.

Joe:

You just got a fucking tear Edie. You're halfway there. You're halfway there. New Zealand swing there. It's New Zealand swing, yeah. Pair it with some Royal Melbourne, where Royal Melbourne? Yep, that'd be cool.

Matt:

So the next I I you know, no professional golf this weekend, unless you're watching TG. Paused, he's frozen.

Joe:

Technology. Oh, giving us shit. Okay, you gotta glitch. You glitched.

Dan:

I didn't, and your face was up as well.

Matt:

That's not good. Come on, Cox, don't do me wrong.

Joe:

Yeah, okay. Look out.

Matt:

All right, so we got the Sony open starts next weekend, and then we got the American Express, Farmers, Phoenix, Pebbles, the first signature event, and then the Genesis. Uh and that's that's the West Coast stuff. So frozen. Let's just go. Uh oh. Is everybody frozen or is it just me?

Joe:

It was just you, you just need to let it go. Let it go. So that's what he's saying. He's he's just let it go. Yeah, there you go. Shout out 13 Brewing.

Matt:

All right, so up next, I want to talk real quickly because I know we maybe still have a few of the VGN people watching in the chat. Uh, I Rob Chapman hit me up about this, and I really liked the idea. So we put this out there. Uh, I announced it earlier today, and it'll be on the tournament pages so everybody can see. We're gonna do uh a tournament within the league this year. Each each event we have, there's gonna be a separate tournament for the low net players. No prize money or anything for this. That's at the end. But each each event, every player that's in the event will be included in the low net, even the gross players. You know, you guys have handicaps, so it this is gonna be a handicapped, the low net. So whoever is the overall low net for each tournament gets added to the field for the final regular season event of the year. Then they are removed from the field for the following or future events, and so we'll have however many regular season events we have up into that. It'll be nine or ten, depending on if May 2nd happens. Uh, so then at Las Vegas National, all those players that earn their spots in from the previous seat or previous tournaments will play for the low net title. And it is called The Joker, the Joker Low Net. Uh, and that'll be a$500 first place prize,$300 second place,$200 uh third place. And that is part of your membership. So no cost to get into this extra one. So this is a little something we're doing, trying to find ways to give back to more players. So yeah.

unknown:

Cool.

SPEAKER_06:

It'll be fine. Dan, we're gonna have to shoot like$59.

Dan:

Yeah, we're gonna have to go, we're gonna have to go real low, Jay. That'll work. You know, you know, Vic's probably gonna come in with a 72 net 67 a few times this year.

Matt:

But he only gets one entry. He only gets in once. Okay, he he goes low once. It doesn't matter if he goes low again. That's that's it.

Joe:

Great, great call by Rob Chapman. I mean, honestly, that's a good great idea.

Matt:

Uh full Monty, James. Full Monty. It's gonna be full index. So uh this is it's a net game, so we're gonna let let the chips fall where they may, and uh let the net the net games shine.

Joe:

I'll show you something. Yeah, that's cool.

Matt:

Yeah, so and then the overall the lowest low net score of the year, I'll have something for them as well.

Joe:

So speaking of chips, I was thinking about ordering these today. See those.

Matt:

Those are records? Oh, yeah.

Joe:

No, they're poker chips, poker chips. We're talking about chips, fall where they may, and I was thinking about ordering some of these today.

SPEAKER_02:

Ah, a little poker chip action for some giveaways.

Joe:

Says, what does it say on this one? It says get out and start hitting greens, play more golf at hitting greens chasing daylight podcast. So we'll see. Expensive, but maybe.

Dan:

Yeah, everything's expensive nowadays. Those are dope, Chubb, but honestly, I think you can do better. They gotta look more like poker chips. Those are they're dope though.

Joe:

Yeah, it looks like a poker chip. Well, it's a picture, it doesn't look like a poker chip.

Dan:

It does look like a playing record for sure. Like it doesn't have like you know, poker chips have like the checkered outside.

Joe:

That makes sense, yeah. Well, I hit green, and that's the option I gave. We'll see.

Matt:

Oh all right, so that is the Joker Low net. We got that. Oh, and I I now have an official beef with pop stroke. Uh oh. Where's the beef? Where's the beef? Let's hear it. Spill the beans. And maybe we'll talk about that in the after show. Teaser.

Joe:

I'll be listening, but I'm gonna have to give the kids a bath during the after show.

Matt:

So okay.

Joe:

Just so you know.

Matt:

So if if you guys that are watching are not aware, we have a feature called CDP Premium, where we do an after show, and then the after show gets sent out to only people who have subscribed to CDP Premium. Other content. It's our OnlyFans, guys.

Joe:

Subscribe to our OnlyFans.

Matt:

Kirby Smart to the Falcons. Is that real? Are you serious, Boyd?

Joe:

No, he's probably fucking with all you guys, bro. It's Boyd.

Dan:

I know he fucks around a lot, but it's you never know right now.

Matt:

Right? It's it's wild what's happening. Black Monday is gone on to Black Tuesday. Check ESPN. Kirby Smart.

Joe:

Shout out, Big Mill. First time in the show. Extremely good noise. Guys, if you guys don't know on whatnot, follow Big Mill. He never wins. Go follow the homie. Legend. Oh Big Mill. Appreciate you, homie.

Matt:

Thank you, Big Mill. Thank you. You got anything there, Dan? Any updates? I don't see anything yet, but hang on. We're calling it OnlyFans. I'm signing up right now. I don't know if you want to see our OnlyFans page. Putters on a pillow.

unknown:

Some Gars.

Matt:

Yeah, Garson Grips on a putter.

SPEAKER_06:

It would definitely be the most disappointing experience for sure.

Matt:

Got a YouTube as well. All right, big.

Joe:

There you go. Yeah, guys, go follow Big Mill on Silver on YouTube as well. If you if you soak it.

Dan:

I think he's fucking around.

Joe:

I told you, bro.

Dan:

Yeah, I know, but still, you never know.

Joe:

I could read people.

Matt:

Grab this little joint earlier today.

Joe:

Yeah, the joint. You just called it a joint. I know. You're getting younger. You're getting younger by the day.

SPEAKER_00:

I like I like joint. It's fun to say.

Matt:

Finalizing a deal. So this was uh picked up earlier today, and uh, I did not think those scratches and everything on there were gonna come out of it. I was uh, but you know, it's it's uh all milled putter, and I'm like, man, that's that's that looks pretty freaking good. So uh grabbed that and then I soaked it in some some 80% vinegar, and boom, all them scratches came out. That was a clear coat that was on there, and uh this thing is it's beautiful now. It is absolutely flawless. Great$30 pickup by me. Who needs whatnot when you got old gift cards and clearance items?

SPEAKER_06:

That's usually how stuff gets to whatnot.

Matt:

Yeah, exactly. Oh no, it's hilarious. I uh I'm in there and and I see a Garson grip, and I'm like, I've never seen a Garson grip on the used rack, right? I said I've never seen a Garson grip on any of the used putters here. And I look and it's a I'm like, hey, I know that putter, so I sent a picture to Vanderslice. I'm like, hmm. Oh, he gave one away. Just playing the lab now.

SPEAKER_00:

It's like wow man, I just put that in there.

Matt:

Brand new grip.

Joe:

That's funny.

Matt:

Yeah, it was too funny.

Joe:

It's uh it's it's I couldn't even jump in Sunday golf show today. I was I was messaging Sunday golf today, and he's like, Oh, I'm I'm gonna run today. I didn't get in there, but yeah, Garson Golf, man. I you know, it's cool to see people talking about Garson as well. Yeah, you know, a lot of people are asking about Garson, and it's cool to see people saying, like, hitting greens is your guy for Garson, but it's Chasing Daylight podcast that is where you get your Garson. Uh, all you gotta do is comment for the giveaway tonight. We're gonna pull something out of the Garson bag. All you gotta do is comment, but um yeah, it's cool to see like the momentum shift of everything happening.

Matt:

Hey, there's only 15 entries in there right now.

Joe:

So yeah, one in 15.

Matt:

Get your ass in there. How how are we doing on the thumbs up, payment? How are we looking okay there?

Joe:

Yeah, payment. How many subscriptions do we get, payment?

Matt:

Hey, we're we're slowly moving up the charts. I'm I'm pretty happy with it.

Dan:

Yeah, we're doing it. Combo focus has a question.

Matt:

Comment what comment whatever you want. All you gotta do is comment. Oops, sorry, sorry. I was meaning to ask, what did you find out with Preston that made you cut your putter down? Uh, so it was my posture. We it we fixed my posture, and that just lowered my hands some. I I was standing a little bit too upright, and uh once we had fixed the posture, my hands came further down, and I was playing 34, and he goes, you know, I think 33 is gonna be right for you. And so I just had been choking down an inch. And uh yeah, I mean, Jeremy, Jeremy, who's a damn good putter, DGP, he can attest I was putting my ass off at Paiute. Yeah, those screens are not the easy screens to putt on, they're they're quick.

SPEAKER_06:

Yeah, your putting is on point.

Matt:

I'm so giddy about it, so giddy about it.

Joe:

Come on, focus. Also, the Garsons I got from whatnot are so good, they are so good. Great.

Matt:

Shout out, shout out, shout out that guy right there.

Joe:

Shout out Garson. If you guys want one of their grips or anything they sell on their uh website, use code daylight 15. All right. I don't have everything on whatnot, we don't give away everything they have on whatnot, but if you want to explore, use code daylight 15. Shout out, Garson, huge supporters.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, daylight 15. And I and I'm I'm looking forward to our chasing daylight grip.

Joe:

Yeah, yeah. There's a chasing daylight podcast grip coming. Sick.

Matt:

That's gonna be fun.

Joe:

You know the details on which model or have you seen have you seen a rendering? Have you seen anything?

Matt:

Nah, it's it's the new year in the holiday season. We said we're gonna table it for now, and we're so that's one of the beginnings of this year that I'm excited about.

Joe:

So you got oh, T Lou, look at this, T Lou. You got any ways to get better at putting without a pudding green? Is one of those strips worth it?

Matt:

Uh the rollout putting mats? Absolutely. Putt view has one that's fantastic. Um, yeah.

SPEAKER_06:

You can even make like a like they they sell those cheap, like even a ruler things you can get to throw down on a mat. Anything to improve your stroke, really on the carpet.

Matt:

An aluminum yardstick is a fantastic way to help to just put the rest of the ball on there and see if you can get it to the the end.

Joe:

Yeah, rulers. Um, also don't get too excited, don't lift up at the end. Like keep your head down and try and just practice your stroke. Understand your toe hang of your putter as well. Understand the arc and make sure you hit it square. You can get stickers too, you can get impact tape. See where you're hitting it on the putter.

Matt:

So, Preston's podcast with us was really good. Uh, also, there's a new episode of The Sweet Spot that's out that they have one of their putting fitting gurus. They talked a lot about Zero Torque, and it was so funny because as I was listening to it today as I was driving around town, I was like, hmm, it's so funny. That was my reaction to the idiots that were commenting on my my lab putter post.

Joe:

Did you see? I think it was uh Coggin. Was it Coggin today? Did you guys see his post today? Coggin. I think it was Coggin, I'm not 100% sure. But he's like, Everybody asks me to make zero torque putters. I don't want to make zero torque putters. You're gonna take a bath after I'm done with the podcast. Coggin, he's like, I'm not gonna make them. You know, if you're a good friend of mine, maybe I'll make it for you. Maybe. I think it was Cogan, I'm not sure, so don't quote me.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

Matt:

Yep, yep, yep. Casa, hey, uh, hey, yeah, hell yeah, man. I was wondering about that. I recently got a mirror to mess with and found out that I wasn't over the ball as I should be. Getting over the ball helped a lot. And it's different for everybody. Don't think there's this is how you must stand. It's, you know, that's one thing that I learned from Preston was I was standing too upright for my stroke, you know, for what I was doing. So once he adjusted my posture, that helped me with my stroke. But that doesn't mean everybody needs to change their posture. It your stroke is so dependent. You know, what's happening in your stroke and how you're delivering the club head back to the ball is so important. So don't think that I have to do this, I have to do this. Um, I recommend getting getting a lesson from somebody that knows what to do.

Joe:

A lot to it, a lot to it. Yeah, also, like the way your alignment is on your putter can change. Like I play, I I'm supposedly supposed To play a dot, some people play a line in the flange or on the top or a double line, or like there's so many things to it. It's a science. So just don't take everybody's word for it that you're supposed to do it. Go go out there and seek the answers.

Matt:

Miss Payman got me an electric putter returner for Christmas. It slaps. I want to get I want to get one that pops the ball back to me from the cup. I'm very straight back and straight through. I've been using face balance putters just from what Odyssey and other recommends, but would like a fitting. Yes, 100%. Because and if you don't follow the sweet spot, uh John Sherman and oh my god, I'm drawing a total blank. I'm I'm so sorry, Adam. Adam Young. Uh they have they're they're nerds, absolute nerds. Adam teaches here in Vegas, and John is uh a really talented amateur golfer and an author. He's uh uh McKenzie Hughes's mental coach, and they talk so I mean they nerd out. Julian and I, when we're driving long distance to do fittings, we'll just listen to their episodes because it's just like non-stop nerd golf nerd. Uh and this one talked a lot about you know, straight back, straight through, arc, but it's it's so much dependent on so many other factors. So, like I said, don't get stuck in a trap or believe, hey, you know, you have a uh straight back, straight through, so you need this. That that really doesn't matter because you can you can do so many things with the putter face, it doesn't really matter what the head is, it's what you do with it is what matters. What is this? Fox?

Joe:

No, he's he you skipped his comment.

Matt:

So he said, what was it?

Joe:

He said, I suck, but trying to figure out some new clubs, mine are old, driving with R7.

Matt:

That is old.

Joe:

It is old, but it's still a it's still a good one. Yep, and it depends on, and I was telling him, go try and hunt deals, find things to try out, or go get fit, or you know, the only way to go through it is through the fire. So you gotta spend money to try things, or do you have to spend money to get fit? Yeah, those are your two ways.

Dan:

Yeah, I would say don't go try not to go overboard because, like you said, if you suck, you know, your words, not mine. If you suck and you just you know kind of getting in the groove of things, just get you like a cheaper, you know, decent set, you know, and as you get better, upgrade your set. Then you you know, as you start to groove your swing and get your feels, you know, you can try out different sets and see what benefits you better.

Joe:

Yeah, you know, before we get into the giveaway, super deep into the technology and like if you understand the game and how the club interacts with the ball and your swing on the turf or whatever you're playing, and you're if you understand the numbers, if you geek out on it, you can find your way to a decently fitted set for you, but you have to geek out right Shannon.

Matt:

There is a hack for fixing a slice. It's called go see somebody that knows what the hell they're talking about and listen to them. Do what they say and listen. It's not easy.

Joe:

Oh man, oh man. That's all right.

Matt:

Before we get into the giveaway, uh, I want to give shout out Steven Jackson. He's uh my tattoo artist. Uh he is a local uh here in town relic body artist. Does any Dan, do you have a tattoo?

Dan:

I do, but not from him.

Matt:

I know, but you have a tattoo.

Dan:

Yeah, he does. It's the independent logo.

Matt:

Oh, the independent logo, that's right. Jeremy, you're ink free, right? Yeah, my body's a temple.

Joe:

And Joe, you don't have my my body is a moment.

SPEAKER_00:

A moment.

Matt:

I I'm I got ink all over the place. So uh moment. Uh Steven Jackson owns Relic Body Art.

Joe:

Joe:

SPEAKER_02:

SPEAKER_02:

SPEAKER_00:

Joe:

Matt:

I'll give you a sleeve of the new Callaway balls when I get one. So okay.

Joe:

There you go. Boyd, you're ineligible. Boyd, you're ineligible.

Matt:

He sent me a message earlier today saying I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna tune in just so I win and not win.

SPEAKER_06:

Yeah, yeah. Six time winner, one time receiver. Deal roll again.

Dan:

SPEAKER_06:

Joe:

Big Mill say something in the chat.

Matt:

That was an 806. That was two minutes ago. He could be gone.

Joe:

Thought he never wins, obviously. Yeah.

Matt:

Yeah, I thought he never wins.

Joe:

Give Big Mill a second. He was he just 806. That was three minutes ago. There he is. All right. Thank you. So am I just picking something? Yeah, or you can add you can give him some options.

Matt:

Give him the choice.

Dan:

Winner's choice.

Matt:

Yeah, do your do your winner's choice thing a joint.

Joe:

Big Mill. What are we looking for? What are we looking for? Let's go. Let's go.

Dan:

Big Mill, do you like oversize, mid-size pistols? What are you looking for?

Joe:

Let's go. Yeah. If you have an option, now's the time, Big Mill. Or else I'm just gonna pull two things. We're gonna go Garson Golf Tow. Brang new, bring neui. Good towel. Great towel.

Matt:

I've been using it since I got mine. It's nice.

Joe:

Okay, that's there.

Matt:

Also, I think I might have no carabiner joint on it either.

Joe:

No carabiner joint on there. We're some real golfers over here.

Matt:

Also, oversized, he said.

Joe:

Shout out Tradition Golf. Go follow my man, Tradition Golf. I I guess I was saying some stuff about real golfers the other day. And uh tradition was like, I thought you were attacking me. I was like, no, bro, I love real golfers. And we can talk about that later. But here you go. Max Tour.

Matt:

Boom. Oversized. Perfect.

Joe:

Oversized, the big boy.

Matt:

Oh, he said I'll take the towel.

Joe:

You want the towel or you want the oversized? You want the towel, Big Mill? Matt, aka Dad. The new Callaway balls have speed tech built in. Elaborate. Big Mill, you want the towel? Confirm with me, or you want this grip? Maxore.

SPEAKER_02:

Hang on a second. Uh Shannon. One sec. Tal right now, since he hasn't responded.

Joe:

We're also giving, we're doing, we're doing Garson stuff every single week. So come back. All you gotta do is comment.

Matt:

Every other week. Every other week.

Joe:

Every other week?

Matt:

Every other week.

Joe:

Okay. Every other week. Yeah, that works perfect. Coming your way, the towel. Appreciate you, big milk. Follow that dude on whatnot and YouTube. And YouTube.

Matt:

So Shannon, I have I have not taken my class on the new balls yet because I don't have it available yet. But from what I've heard, it has it has something to do with the materials that they're using in the paint. I know that's part of the new cover. I don't know if that speed tech has anything to do with the core, but I believe it's the mantle layer that that what this has done. It's uh allowed what's the term? How how I don't want to mess it up. Uh it's it's allowing they said like if you take a coil and you compress it, the harder you compress it, the bigger it bounces. They they found a way to compress the cover and get more speed out of it without affecting the performance and feel of the ball.

SPEAKER_06:

So basically, it's the cover is made out of flubber.

Matt:

It's it's flubber, 100%.

SPEAKER_06:

Robin Williams, Robin Williams.

Joe:

Rest in peace.

Matt:

Yep. You guys do you remember the movie uh with Jack Black where he invented the spray that makes dog poop disappear? Yeah, that was a good movie.

Dan:

Wasn't it like uh evapoo raid or something like that? Yeah, evaporate. Where did the poo go? Where did the poo go?

SPEAKER_02:

That's what made me think about that. That's funny.

Matt:

Uh okay. So that's it. I think that's it for this week. We covered everything. We got everything on it, except for the website, but you know, see it for yourself. Go check it out. I'm happy.
