So number one, the number one story is Piff has pulled their funding from Live, which everybody knows about that by now.

What they're there's I don't know, uh Golf Dirt was posting something that they reached out to an investment firm or a um financial firm, capital firms, yeah, to try and secure funding. We'll see what happens with that. Uh Yasir stepped down as a live chairman, which you know that that more dominoes, more dominoes are falling. So I think it's done. Finally said, Yeah, we're we're done. We're out, we're out and then all of a sudden, John Rahm today it's announced that has reached a deal with the DP World Tour. They are setting all his penalties aside and his fines and letting him come back and play. So he is now going to be eligible to play in the Ryder Cup next year. Uh, so that'll be interesting. See if uh, you know, the Patrick Reed. I I don't know. I mean, the PGA tour kind of threw an olive branch out to those guys that were in those qualifications, and uh he said no. So we'll see how the PGA tour reacts to that. Uh the field, speaking of the PGA championship, the field is set for that, which I was just Joe and I were just scrolling Instagram waiting for you guys to hop on. Do you think that because we we talk about this all the time that the bubble's gonna burst, that this golf bubble hasn't yet? Holy cow, it hasn't yet. I mean, we're on like year three of like this is gonna pop any minute now. But do you think with how fast things change with software and and internet and apps and everything, do you think there's gonna be something that challenges YouTube or are they too big to fail right now? YouTube too too big to fail right now, like as because like you know, everybody's saying Bryson, you know, YouTube is a lot of money, you know, uh Teals has you know there's a lot of money in YouTube golf. Is there is it you know at one some point gonna go and start seeing a decline where you know it's it's not as cool as it was two years ago?

I don't think so. I think I think YouTube is the media nowadays for the most part. I mean, like I mean YouTube is not going anywhere. There's YouTube TV. Like if I want to learn anything, I watch YouTube to learn it, you know.

Like I and I think they evolve too. You know, yeah, like it's not they're not staying the same, and then someone catches up to them. They're literally like improving like every year, they you know, with the re the live and now that live auction stuff you're seeing on there, yeah. Yeah it's just they're just adding features, so it's just making it more and more user experience friendly.

So is can we is it safe to say that because of YouTube golf that and because of YouTube that golf is still growing at this crazy pace? Yeah, oh yeah, for sure.

Yeah, for sure. The the thing with like social media golfers and YouTube golfers and stuff like that is I I feel like that bubble won't burst for a while because a lot of people can relate to those guys, you know, like regard regardless of the good goods, you know, they got a huge, huge following with with kids and they're big with the juniors and stuff, and that's that's a great thing. That's that's you know, good goods not my favorite, but for what they do for the juniors and and kind of provide that, you know, role model of golf out there on YouTube, that's a great thing. But a lot of people love watching like Bob Dow Sports and love seeing those two clowns over there fuck off the golf course all over the place and cuss and curse and just goof off, you know, because that's kind of relatable. Yeah, relatable that's what a Saturdays with the boys is like, you know what I mean? So and not only that, but with with the good golfers too, like your like your donkeys and your Luquans and all that stuff, like you get you get to actually see a glimpse of what their like behind the scenes is, you know, they're a little bit more personable and people can relate to them a little bit more than you see the guys on tour, you know. You don't see you don't see like like Rory and Scott, you know, those guys making YouTube channels, you know. Like I think that's another reason why Bryson got so big is because he put himself out there and people could relate and try to understand and see what the guys like a little bit more. And like I said, I just think people it just resonates with people more. And so that's kind of why I think YouTube's gonna just kind of stay on top for a minute.

I mean, the first thing I do when I hear about a new golf course or something is oh, you know, old Barnaby app, of course. Yeah, yeah, after Grassy. I mean, and yeah, I mean, go to Grassy Golf, but see who's played it, see the reactions. But like if you hear, I mean, you know, there's a lot of documentaries out there, you know what I mean? There's bird documentaries, lots of documentaries from the other day about architecture in China, you know what I mean? So that's that's where you go. That you know, see who's played it, see what they think. I mean, and you visit you can visualize it too, and you get a bunch of drone shots, which actually don't tell you what you see. Shout out, Matt Wang and Yacht. Uh, but but I mean, that's where it's storytelling from a perspective of people that have been there. So, I mean, our channel's not doing that.

But I mean, if if you go back 10 years, if you wanted to have video content, you know, you had to have a videographer come out there because you didn't have you know an elite computer that you hold in your hand that you have with you everywhere that could record sick video like you do now. You know, it was a lot more challenging to create that content. Um you know, it was much more of a production where now, yes, don't get me wrong, there are a lot of channels out there that have some sick production, and it's incredible to watch. But for the most part, a lot of the YouTube golf stuff that's out there, it's guys on their phones creating content, you know. And some of them do a fucking bang up job, and it's enjoyable as hell to watch. Yeah, that it's it's a lot easier to do now. You don't have to have a degree in film to produce content on YouTube, you know. My kids can just start a channel, you know. Yeah, it's crazy.

Yeah, it's wild. And I I mean speaking into this comment right here, like I found somebody on Instagram the other day that uh takes digital like things, right? Like digital movies, never been on VHS tape, and he creates he records it to VHS tapes and creates his own cover and everything. Sick. But anyway, yeah, it is it is it is uh it's accessible to everybody, and everybody can do a YouTube channel. And if you're relatable and you're likable and you do a good job, like you can you can be in that position now. So it's like giving power to the people, which is kind of wild, right? And all it takes is grind, like just like they do every week on tour, they grind to win. I mean YouTube is wild, man.

She's she's been a uh Instagram golfer for a long time, and and she's just been grinding. Her and her husband or fiance, they own uh a business for training aids, and uh they played in the grass league. They got invited to play in the grass league, or they got drafted into the grass league and and played pretty well. Um, we can talk about the grass league too. That's another event. Yeah, uh, it was on ESPN. Um, but her her uh fiance, he got he played in a state tournament in California, and he went down all the expenses for the week that they were there, and he finished ninth, and he left with like$200 after everything. He's like the grind is not for money, it's it's to try and get somewhere, you know. You you gotta have sponsors to get it, otherwise it's just too damn tough.

When I was this was this was 20 years ago, plus years ago when I was doing that, when I had a sponsor, and dude, no joke, I was going through eight to ten eight to ten to twelve thousand dollars a month just traveling, uh fees, uh air uh hotels, food like it is not cheap if you're grinding to get on tour or to make a tour. Yeah, and so I just I just stepped up and just hit my six iron and just pured it. And I'm like, three swings right there where I did not give a shit. And I hit the played the best. So I told him, I said, I said, I need to figure out that. I need to goes that's the difference between playing golf swing and playing golf.

It was like 20 yards short. I'm like, I told Joe, there's a lot of fucking wind up there because I hit that really well, and then after that, it just nothing worked. Nothing worked.
