Plus, we announce the winner of the Travis Matthew shoe giveaway!

Intro, Ghost Energy Drinks & Garsen Grips
MattWhat is up, everybody? Welcome to the Chasing Daylight Podcast. Uh, Dad's back. Welcome back, Dad. Thank you so much. Welcome back, Dad. Thank you so much.
JoeUh I miss you know, I wanted to reach out to you, ask how to fix the dishwasher problem because you're dad, and you probably would have known, but you know, I figured it out. Shout out to YouTube.
MattGood job. Good job. Yeah, my my kid was out here in our office. She had to measure some things, and she's like, I need your help. There's stuff in the way. And I'm like, what do you mean there's stuff in the way? You don't have to move me. Or just go around it, figure out a different like pretend it's a final at school. Well, what are you gonna do? So uh I was gonna save this for later, but I'm dying of thirst right now. This is this is uh you know, liquid death. We we love you, but they don't want nothing to do with us.
JoeSo uh ghost is a local company, and yeah, they're well they moved to Chicago, I think, right? But they they're born they're born out of the soil of the desert.
MattSo this is the the energy drinks have 200 milligrams of caffeine, and I do like a couple cups of coffee in the morning, but I don't want four at once. Um, so uh I'm gonna this is the hydration drink. Uh shout out ghost.
JoeUm, see honestly, their protein powder is has been one of my favorites.
MattDude, that is grape drink. That is Welch's grape juice right there.
JoeWow, grape drink. Wow, that's good. Uh their cereal milk protein powder. I love it. I used to drink it for dessert.
MattNow, the cereal, I will say, and you gave me fair warning. I know, yeah, yeah. I told you. It wasn't good. It wasn't good. But hey, so uh a couple things.
DanUh there's Echo sponsorship.
MattYeah, they're gonna sponsor you. Looking for high energy drinks, uh not uh cereal. So their energy drinks are killing it, too. Yeah, they really are Jeremy loves them. So no Jeremy tonight. If if you're on the show watching, you don't see Jay. He's he's got some stuff going on, so he will not be here this evening.
JoeUm, but I haven't tried that one, Kyle. I gotta try that. I did see that the other day though.
MattYeah, I had the peanut butter one, wasn't that good. So uh a couple things real quick. Uh shout out Garson, of course. Garson, you can save yourself 15 by using our code daylight15 at checkout. Please check out the website. Uh, they've got some great grips for your putting needs. And in route, in the mail, on a truck as we speak, maybe a plane by now. We have our CDP grips coming. They should be here tomorrow or Wednesday. One a day, one of the next couple days. So once once they get here, I'll get some photo shots. They took some product shots already that they're gonna send me. I'll get them on the website, and we'll have those for everybody. They're gonna retail for $40, but but I am in the process of setting up a new discount code for the YouTube members. We now have a level two.
SPEAKER_00Uh level one is called R.
MattLevel two is called Birdie. If you sign up for a level two membership, it gets everything that you have in level one. Plus, you're gonna predictable.
JoeI know, I'm kidding. I'm jump messing with you. What are you gonna do?
MattI was like, hmm, shit, next up, uh, so uh stay tuned for that. And uh, if you have not subscribed to the channel, um well, you're not probably not watching, or you're not you can't comment. I I fixed that.
JoeLike and subscribe and comment and do all those things, you know. Yeah, it's very it's very free to follow and subscribe.
MattAnd then if you want to help us, very easy. If you want to help us and support the show, uh, you can do those uh YouTube memberships. We really appreciate that. Love all the members that we have so far. We're grateful for you guys. Thank you so much. And then this evening, we always have Garson. We like to give away Garson grips and other things. Joe's got his uh whatnot stuff. He's got some hitting greens uh putting discs that are really popular right now. They're flying off the garage shelves.
JoeThere, there she is. You got I need to get you guys one of these because it does.
MattYeah, it looks sick. Be cool hanging on the bag. Uh, level one membership, you got to look on the website, it tells you everything. So it's it's there. Um, I can break, I'll break it down on a page on the website if you want to. So you know it's nothing crazy. You just get access to the private shows that we do live and uh any uh member only content that we put out that will only be available to members as the member base grows. I mean, we love you guys, but we don't want to spend time creating some content and some videos for two or three or four people. So we're we want to get that number up, then we'll start doing some some more things, and that funding that you are helping us grow will help us provide that content. So it kind of works, you know, in miracles.
JoeIt's a special system, guys. Just be part of the ecosystem. Appreciate you just just join the ecosystem.
MattUh,
Travis Matthew Nuage Detour Shoe Giveaway
Matttonight, though, we have a special giveaway.
JoeSpecial give me tonight, special giveaway tonight.
MattShout out beds, shout out beds, all in the yeah. Travis Matthew dropped a new shoe. It's uh called the New Age Detour. It's a little bit different material than the other uh New Age. Um it looks comfortable as shit. You got the beige, the olive, and the black. I wear the regular ones that I absolutely love. Now, this is this can be you are a dad, so you know that makes sense. These can be worn for golf, but they're not a golf shoe per se. They do not have traction on the bottom, it's more of a walking everyday shoe.
JoeUm, so all you gotta do is abandoned trails shoe, honestly.
MattIt's like a band.
JoeI can see that. I would wear that at Bandon Trails for sure.
MattYeah, so uh how we do giveaways here, everybody should know by now. It's really easy. All you have to do is engage with us, comment on the show. Uh, we collect the comments, and sometime during the show, we uh draw a name from all the people that left comments. If you're here to claim the prize, it's yours. Um, with this one, we'll need you know what colorway you want, what shoe size you want, and we'll need uh email and mailing address, of course. So if you uh cannot provide that information, let us know so we don't pick you. Yeah, shut up, some good stuff there. Yeah, yeah, still. Uh in the in the new, we have some news. We're
Matt’s Personal Best at Rams Hill in Palm Springs
MattI I prefaced this episode with uh is Vegas Golf Doomed, and we're gonna get to that. But there's there's all kinds of shit going on since I was gone last week. Um was down in Palm Springs, played some golf, had a personal best back there hanging on the wall. New PB. At Rams Hill, had a had an absolute blast. The audio of me coming in last week was shit, so I apologize for that. Um, but Rams Hill is everything that everybody says it is. It's a special place. I had a blast. I would go back in a second.
JoeRight now they have a it's like I'm saying in the house. PB for Matt last week at Rams.
MattUh so he said our uh they said it's $95 unlimited golf right now, uh during the summer. Hold on, 95 unlimited for the day, for the yeah, all you can play for 95 bucks, which I didn't know that because I would have played again, but we had stuff going on. Trace with the two dollar, thank you so much, Trace. T Dog. Love you, brother. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It was weird seeing him out at Aliante without Dan. Uh um, so yeah, Palm Springs. Anybody's got any comments about Palm Springs? Want to let me know what their thoughts are on the place. Um, but it's going on sources. Yeah, what's going on in Palm Springs has kind of spurred my interest about what's going on with the water here in Vegas. Then there were some news articles that came out, and uh, like I said, we'll get into that. Um, so that was me and Palm Springs.
DanUm dancing this over the other day, and I decided shout out beds, shout out
LIV Golf Sued by Premier Golf League
Danhey beds.
MattLook, beds, we're we're we're we're showing the shoes, we're showing the shoes.
JoeAlso, if you guys need anything built out of wood, beds builds, beds builds, beds builds, beds builds.
MattUm, but live is being sued because a what's it called? Premier Golf League said that stole their idea, stole their idea, so they're suing them.
JoeHold on, who did what hold on?
MattWho did who sued? The there's a company or there was a league being established called the Premier Golf League or World Golf League. Yeah, okay. So it's right here.
DanESPN was reporting that Live Golf uh and uh the Saudi PIF as well as other individuals and entities are being sued by lawyers representing World Golf Group and Premier Golf League for breach of confidence. Okay, means conspiracy. They're seeking damages between 210 to 630 million dollars, claiming they stole their concept of what is now live golf. Interesting, interesting, interesting even crazier.
JoeI put in paperwork, I talked to a lawyer today, and I I filed everything. I did trademark cleany boys, so and I also trademarked bring nui brang nui brang spoke b-r-a-y-n-g N E W e Y bring nui and cleany boys trademarked. You're gonna talk to me first, okay. Um that's all I'm saying.
MattWell, Lib is dead, anyways. Who cares? I care because I think it's funny. I think it's funny, and well, I wonder why they wait. If Lib has been around, this concept's been going on since 2022. Uh, why did they wait for years? Just another nail in the coffin, right?
JoeJust yeah, yeah, another piss on it while we while it's dead. Fuck it. Yeah, definitely gone after this year. No chance in hell that they're coming back.
MattI it's I'd be stunned. It's so good.
JoeAlso, with the Phil stuff. I mean, like, you know, oh the guy that went over and got all the hate, just getting hate on the exit, too. He was hated on the entrance, he's getting hated on the exit.
MattYeah, it's not good for Phil. I don't foresee Phil Mickelson on a golf course publicly anytime soon.
JoeDid you see that thing with Alan Shipnock where uh Phil's bridges membership was transferred to Xander Shoffle? Yeah, yeah.
MattThat article was good. All right, so that's some news that's going on, and then uh golf channels um conglomerate, uh Verseant Media bought full swing, which that's kind
Golf Channel Acquires Full Swing
Mattof a big deal because I mean I look at golf channel, does a lot with track man and easy quad and full swing, and yeah, you know, they this this brought to you by Rolex, this track man brought to you by Rolex, you know. They so it'll be interesting to see what their game plan is with that as far as production. I mean, what else are you gonna use it for, right? You're a you're a network, maybe they can improve it. You're buying that right for data purposes, right?
JoeSo you they you said they bought full swing.
MattYeah, they acquired full swing for lots of money. Yeah, for example. Yeah, they're gonna use it.
JoeYeah, they're gonna use it. They're not gonna use top tracer anymore. There's not gonna be any try. I mean, that's they're using it for data and to put that system on you know, on the screen. Yep, they probably make money off of it. Yeah, just like a hydration rate for the world cup, you know.
MattThe John
John Deere Classic & Jordan Spieth Highlights
MattDeere Classic took place this past week. Uh, Chris Goderup uh won. Got another win that's third this year, right?
DanI think that was the final round 63 or something like that. Yeah, come out of nowhere and just lit him up.
MattYep, so congrats to him for that. Uh good to see Max Homo play well again.
JoeI didn't watch a ton of that, but I loved it. One of the trends for the week was the Jordan Speith getting up and down from Dunkin' Donuts and everywhere. I didn't watch any of the John Deere, but that was really good because you don't even have to watch the tournament to understand what that means. Because that fool, I did see one video where he just split the trees and he hit it to like three feet. John Deere, insane.
DanJordan has a he has a knack for getting out of some serious trouble. He does.
JoeHe he likes it, he likes likes the challenge of it.
DanHe's the crappy boy.
JoeYeah, he's just yeah, crappy boy, crappy boy, and then that ball that the ball that was buried, and then he pulled it out, and then he had to bury it again, and then he got it out. You see, I saw that video. Yeah, that's an up and down leg.
DanUp and down you remember that shot he hit at the uh I think it was the rider cup. When was that? Was our president's cup at Whistle? When it straight up in the air, straight up dropped like six shot. Yeah, whistle. That was ridiculous in the Ryder Cup.
JoeThe shot tracer on that, it was hilarious with like a roll and just ran backwards.
DanYeah, fell backwards, almost went in the water and shit.
JoeOh, that was an awesome shot, dude. I I remember that. That was a good one.
MattHow how about the golf cart falling in the lake off the cliffs? Oh, yeah, seriously.
DanI wish there was a camera, a still camera there. I want to see that footage. I would go bad.
JoeI would think that they have a camera that is on the 19th hole, like looking for hole in ones. I would think that there's got to be something out there, but I don't even know how you do that.
MattI mean, that's even if you slam the pedal and try to do it, it doesn't look like it's possible.
JoeThis sounds like a new segment being created right here. Is it real?
MattYeah, did it happen?
JoeDoes it does it real?
MattDoes it there's so many people that have cameras and phones, and you know, it's everywhere. Yeah, um, the big channel, Nyla.
JoeHigh, yeah. Who's taping? We're taping, we're we're streaming, we're taping. Okay, Nyla, don't do it again. Who's taping? Shout out Nyla. She said hello guys, or ease, and who's taping? I don't know. You're taping.
MattAll right, and so the last thing which I thought is gonna take up the most time, so I saved it for last before we get into doom and gloom of Vegas Golf.
The YouTube Golfs; Your Golf Tour (YGT) Debate
MattUh YGT. YGT, it's it's the popular thing that's right.
JoeYeah, it's a great vacation spot. Waikiki. Love that place.
MattUh a little crowded, but you know. I'm kidding. Uh, yeah, so the YGT is it a tour league? They got tour cards.
JoeYeah, dude, those cracking cards look sick, though.
MattThey were they were pretty nice. He does he does amazing work, so I'm yeah, he does collection his stuff.
JoeSo I still wish I bought one of those crayon divot tools that he made. Yeah, they're good. So sick.
MattUm him in middle is quit.
JoeQuiet. I'm assuming that means quiet. Dan is quiet. Yeah, you must be new here, Nyla. I'm a good listener.
MattHim in middle. New name for Dan. Him in middle.
JoeHim in middle.
DanHim. H I M, baby. I'm him. Him in middle.
JoePronoun boys. Pronoun boys. Him. He is him.
MattSo I don't know. I I comment, I sent Mike a message because he made a post about how brilliant and amazing and wonderful. Oh dang. So I sent him a message. I'm like, dude, come on. I mean, this is a fucking snooze fest. You know, I I just want to watch golf, and like the first hour and 40 minutes is just people talking, and it's I mean, I I know they have a following, I know people like them, and I know people want to hear them. I get it. I'm not one of those people. I want to watch golf.
JoeYeah, this is where Matt is incapable of seeing the other side of the story.
MattI it's it's not that I'm incapable, I just don't care.
JoeYeah, that's yeah, you don't care about the other, you don't care about the other side for sure.
MattI want to watch golf. I want to watch golf.
JoeYeah, yeah, it's your way or the highway, you know, and you're you're living in the fast lane.
MattYeah, you can't see four million people that have watched it that completely disagree with me. So exactly, that's what I'm saying. And and that's that's great. That's beautiful. I'm giving it a shot. I'm giving it a shot. I'm I'm trying. It's taken me three days to get through four hours of I'm not even yeah, yeah, you gotta skip through all that. Oh my god, yeah.
DanWe were you gotta go to the last half hour.
MattWell, I went I went on my phone to because I was watching on TV. So I was like, I'm gonna sit up on the couch, I'll watch it, and like fell asleep three times because it's just like fucking people talking. Oh my god. Yeah, it's golf is great to fall asleep too. Oh my lord. And so today I'm like, I'm gonna watch it on my phone, and it was like tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, okay, golf shop, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, okay, golf shop, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap. So it was that made it a little bit better, but my god, I mean, it's like that person when you play golf with that never shuts up, and like you're like, okay, yeah, he's nice guy. He plays, plays quick, cool, cool. Guy never shuts up. That's what I felt like I was watching. Just like, just shut up and hit the shot, Jesus Christ.
JoeWell, here's the thing is like a lot of like just like growing the game. This is where these are the people, a lot of them, not all of them. These are these are the people that help uh the players, the golf courses fill their t-sheets, and these are who they grew up watching. They did not grow up watching Tiger, they did not grow up, you know. This is these these are their pros, you know, that's why it's got so many views. And yes, it is pretty, it's pretty boring for sure. And uh, you know, I mean, I I got back into the game because of Eric Anders Lang, you know. I didn't see Eric Anders Lang out there, he's a storyteller, though, and a lot of these guys are not storytellers. I I would I would say like Roger Steele is so fantastic with words, and every time he is in one of those scenes, like I'm watching. I want to see every scene Roger Steele is because in because he has a way with words. Um, but yes, it was very fucking boring, and I okay.
MattYou said in in our text thread that you thought that I thought one of the highlights for me is Roger Steele not knowing that a ball in shorter grass will spin more than a ball in taller grass. Yeah, well, that's great. That was mind-boggling to me that Roger Steele didn't know that.
JoeYeah, but that's what's really cool about this stuff, right? Is is we get to see the behind the scenes stuff is better than or a lot of most of the behind most of it's just trash filler. Oh they don't have to record every fucking thing, you know. But like I like understanding like their how their mindset is about pairing with who and all this, you know, like how do we how do we navigate this situation? You know what I mean? That's what I really like about it. I mean, it one of the biggest things though, watching it, I want to go back to Persell Farms. I don't think I appreciate it as much as I did when I was there.
DanYeah, it looked really good, it looked really sick. It looked like those greens were on fire fast too.
MattUm rolling out forever. So, yeah, uh, those of you that have finished it, um, people saying right here, the excuse me, the finale was epic. I'm not done with it yet, so save the spoilers, please. I haven't finished.
JoeOh, so you want to watch it? You want to watch that?
MattI'm gonna watch it, yeah. I've been so many people have told me that it gets it gets a lot better. Yeah, the golf was fantastic.
DanAll right, some good scores. That's that's I started episode three.
JoeI skimmed through episode two and I saw that whole blocky thing.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
DanYeah, that was a non issue. I don't know what the hell they were trying to do.
JoeYeah, that was yeah, he you haven't made it through two, though, right, Matt.
MattI have not finished it. I'm like thirty minutes thing.
JoeUh yeah, that whole blocky thing. I don't even I Just rigged. It's fucked. It doesn't even make any sense. It's like it's a nothing bird. It was just clickbait. That's all it was.
MattThat's all it is. It's blocky and YouTube and clickbait. No, it's so what did he what did Grant come out and apologize for?
JoeSo what happens, Matt? You're not gonna care.
MattI saw what happened. I saw what happened.
JoeSo here I think Grant just just apologized. The credits, and then it's and then it's like blocky in a closet. Fuck this. I came here to play nine holes. Whatever. Yeah.
DanWell, they didn't say fuck this, but he did drop a lot of F bombs. Yeah.
unknownYeah.
JoeAnd spoiler alert. Yeah.
DanYeah, he just he was just pissed because you know he his team got eliminated and he was gone after nine holes. That's what he said. He goes, I came here for nine holes.
MattDan just wrote it.
DanFucking nine holes. Yeah, it's you're yeah, you won't you won't miss nothing.
JoeYou're not gonna miss anything, guys. It's not it's not a big deal. You're not gonna miss anything. Because the real thing happens in episode three, like Dan said, that's where that's where the magic is. What quote, quote Dan Hodges, that's where the magic is, episode three.
MattOh, is that what that is what he said, huh?
JoeHe quote, yeah, he did he quoted that the magic is in episode three.
MattDid I say magic? I'm gonna look right now because I don't know.
JoeI'm gonna look too because I did not say it.
MattThat's not my vocab.
DanMagic really isn't a word I use.
MattUh there was a lot of great golf play.
DanThat's about as that's about as uh that's about the most apologize for shining a bad light on block. Yeah, there you go, Tyler. I that's probably what yeah, it's probably what it is. Yeah, that's probably what it was. Uh okay. Shout out, Tommy. Thanks for tuning in every week, brother.
MattI'm not a big deal. Mike said that it's way it was way better than the internet invitational. Internet invitational, which no chance, no chance in the channel. I haven't seen that yet. I don't think it was better.
JoeNo, no chance in hell.
MattIt was definitely and and I and I I get it's they're trying to do something different, but I think for me personally, what I enjoy about the PGA tour is there's a lot of players, and there's there's there can be a lot going on. You have a player on fire here, you have a player on fire there, you got different things, you got players making the cut. I think the same 16 people over and over and over again forever many. How many times are they doing this?
JoeNo, I think that's fine. I I think that there's four times four or five four stops, four turns stops, and then they come to the last one.
MattI just think you can get a little redundant with the same four. It's just like uh TGL, you know. Oh, hey, look, Keegan Bradley is hitting a ball into a screen again on the same.
JoeI think the thing is is like the thing is there's like like with the PJ Tour, there's cuts, and it's like, oh, this happened over here, this happened over here, and it keeps you excited and engaged because you're not watching a group play an entire hole out, and then you switch to another group playing that same hole. You're they're cutting across the golf course to different golf holes where magic is happening. Dan, there's magic's happening, but it's like we watch this group play one all the way through, then they go to two, and then we see their t-shots, and then they cut to the next group playing one again. Yeah, all right. Well, what's going on? Uh approach on two, all right. Uh, and then we cut to the green on one, and then there's and then the next group's playing three, you know what I mean? It's like we've already seen this shit, you know, and it you're taking you're putting too much time into the group, and you need to tell the story of how they got there. I don't know. I maybe I'm crazy, but it just seems repetitive, and it's a lot of information. I don't need you.
MattBut you just described YGT. That's exactly what they did. They're yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Are you talking about PJ Tour?
JoeYeah, I was talking about YG8 YGT. No, no, PJ Tour cuts around the golf course. You can be on 18, then four, and then five, because you know, everybody's got different T times, but now you're you're watching a team play one, and then they play. You know, like I said, like we already saw that hole. Take the best of what happened in every area and tell the story of the round.
MattYeah, it doesn't have to be that's where no.
DanI think I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that there's only you know, there was only eight players in the last, you know, the last episode. So that's why these you know they get so much longer. If it was bigger field, you know, if they actually had a full field like there was in the PJ, yeah, but you'd be forced to cut, you wouldn't have to show and well that's true, but they also don't show every hole when the field's that big. I think now that it's a little bit smaller and there's only eight guys, and well, the last episode is it's five on five, so they're gonna show everything, you know what I mean? So no, yeah, it's just one of those things.
JoeWhat are the other I know and and internet invitational figured out the editing to make it super interesting, and maybe it's because they didn't have great golf golfers on there. Like everyone on the YGT is a really good golfer, you know. You don't have you know what I mean, so maybe they want to show every shot, but like the internet invitational had me locked in. Y GT. I'm like, uh, we can skip 20 minutes, okay? See what's happening. We could skip 10 minutes.
MattI was I did more of this than this. That was yeah, yeah.
DanI did a lot of skipping too. I ain't got time to sit around and watch YouTube call for five fucking hours.
JoeWell, we're also a different we're also a different audience, too. This is true.
MattSo I don't know. I would love to see the numbers on the fast forward rate. That would be amazing. Data point.
DanDid you guys happen to notice the date of the check? Oh, actually, Matt, you didn't watch it yet. But uh Joe, did you watch the last episode? Yeah, I haven't seen three yet. No, oh anyway. Anyway, the date of the date of the check they gave the winner, the winning team, was marked May 19th. Yeah, yeah. So they've got they've got to have already two to three tournaments probably done by now.
MattYou would think it's it's not even golf season in Chicago yet. So yeah, that was yeah.
DanI wonder if that if that win event, if they're gonna do that like a live YouTube event, or we need to get media recorded too media for the win.
JoeDude, the YGT is not even gonna try to describe following. I would I would 100% go. I would love to go. Let's go. Yeah, I would assume that's gonna be a one day or like where everybody, you know, Tyler wants to go with it's gonna be like cumulative score, you know what I mean? Let's try and get media pass. We got media passes Shriners, Shadow Creek, they're all back there. We can get media passes.
MattAll right, we'll still try 100. Well, find out when it is. I know it's at the wind. Where else are they November?
JoeI think. I think it's November.
MattThey haven't said um, they haven't said it's gotta be week. Somebody has to say something. Tyler on probably.
JoeI didn't, I didn't even know they were playing Purcell. I like I didn't either. That's when I turned on and honestly on TV trying to catch up, and Katie was like, That's Alabama. I was like, Yeah, we were there when we went to Georgia, and like we played that course.
MattIf this wasn't filmed at Persell, they're going to Casa de Campo next.
DanOh, so they got uh many times on sim at Five Iron, Teeth of the Dog, and then they're gonna play Cut Along, which is in Virginia, and then the last event at in at Win.
JoeOh, so there's three and then a final. Yeah, yeah. Let me see if they say what's it. But yeah, I I feel like uh me watching most of it is carried by having played Purcell, like you were saying, Matt. Yeah, and because I forgot a lot of those holes, dude.
MattI was like the ninth hole. I'm like, I'm sitting there going, Why don't I remember the water on the right? What is going on? Yeah, and they get the tenth, and I'm like, okay, I remember the tenth.
JoeYeah, I remember I remember the tenth for sure. Yeah, but yeah, I was getting lost out there.
MattWhat's the swing hole that Bob was swinging on the swing? And that's set after the par it's like a couple holes after the par three, right? Is it six or seven?
DanI don't know.
JoeI saw it on the video. I I can't remember, but I think I think I locked in with the tire swing, yeah. Yeah, I think it was seven. No, maybe it's six. It was six. I think it's the hole after the par three.
DanIt was after the par three.
JoeYeah, no, it was not after the drop par three.
DanYeah, that's five.
JoeThat's five.
DanI think you're right, Matt. I think it was seven. I think it's six or seven.
MattI think it's seven. I know it's closer to the clubhouse as you're coming back. Or is that way?
JoeYeah, great problem. Also, that par three drop is literally as crazy as it looks. FY, yeah, it's it does up there. It's insane. Remember the dart Bob threw though?
MattOh, yeah.
JoeHe threw Dart Left.
MattWe had that back left pin, didn't we?
JoeWe did have the back left left.
MattYeah.
JoeNasty, nasty pin. Yeah, yes, it was. So wild one.
MattYeah, I'm I'm gonna finish it. I'm gonna watch it. I'm I I like the golf. I can't stand the fucking yappy, yappy, yappy, yappy 24-7. It's like, dude, if if you were playing golf with me, I would fucking lose my shit with how much talking. And I know their talk is like with the first time I played with Rocky when he actually recorded. I'm like, damn, Rocky thinks out loud. He thinks out loud, but that's how you do that's what you gotta do on YouTube. That's what you gotta do. Yep, and uh, but oh my lord, that would drive me absolutely insane. I just think I think I look, I'm fine with it.
JoeI get it. YouTube golf, it's the future, right? It's the future of golf, but it's the magic. I just think it, I think in the internet invitational was so much better, and the internet invitational for this year, they're bringing way more players. Yeah, so maybe maybe it's not even gonna be as good as the first, but I think the editing is lacking, you know. I chance taylor, yeah. Chance tailor, yes. He's the he is he's the fucking chaz. What chaz was to the internet invitational? Chance Taylor is the Chaz of the YGT. It's sick. That dude is sick.
MattI'm like, I was like, is he he's talking with a New Zealand accent? He's talking with a southern accent.
JoeWhat the it I know he's from Virginia, uh and that fool can shape that's uh that's a hillbilly accent. He's Virginia. I looked into it because that's my vibe right there for sure.
MattIs he wearing trailer park gear?
JoeIs that the it's trailer park golf club? Yeah, or something like that.
MattYeah, there's some they got some funny shirts.
JoeYeah, he's he's a stick and he can shape that ball. And dude, that good for him.
DanHis swing his swing is pretty money, it really is. Yeah, yeah.
JoeWell, he can shape that boy, really. Yeah, he can't the little stinger on uh 18. Yeah, that was sick. Sorry, specifically.
MattAnybody else wants to talk about YGT? By all means, bring it up.
JoeWe're also not done watching everything, but no, no, yeah.
MattWe got more.
JoeWe're here, we're staying informed, we're staying informed.
MattTrying to be, you know, biases, I guess you could say. I don't know. But I I I couldn't believe Mike. I tried to get him on.
JoeYeah, that's kind of that's kind of surprising.
MattYeah, I was like, bro.
JoeShall I be GC, but that's a little surprising. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
MattAll right. So uh when I was in Palm Springs, uh, I as Joe says, you can aerial map it and look at how many golf courses are there. It's insane. And then you get down down south in the valley where Madison Club is in tradition, and in that uh La Cuenta area, and it's just like man, Madison Club has some of the biggest houses I've seen on a golf course stacked one after another after another after another. There's so much money down there, it's insane. But one thing that I saw driving around, and this is um let's go. Hey, welcome, welcome, welcome. One thing being a desert rat and being around Vegas and the water restrictions we have in here, when I see water being wasted, it kind of like red flag, you know,
Is Vegas Golf Doomed? Water Restrictions & Course Closures
Mattlike oh shit, that person's fucked, you know, because they're wasting so much water, and it's like rampant there. I could not believe how many water leaks and hoses just running, and it's it's wild, you know. And and I was chatting with our my friend Anthony, who I played with him and his pops, and and they were saying that, you know, yeah, it's that we get all our water from the Colorado. I'm like, you fucking thieves.
JoeThere's a lot of shit happening with that whole agreement right now.
MattYeah, oh, there's there's a lot going on.
JoeYeah, and gonna decide the fate of our children's children, you know what I mean.
MattWhat a lot of people fail to understand is when Hoover Dam was built, Vegas was a bump on the map, it was a little dot, and the dam wasn't built. What were you laughing at?
JoeHome the dude, homie. He just got here from whatnot, and we're talking about water rights and oh I know, right?
MattSo we'll get to the golf. Hang on now.
JoeHe's next, just got here from whatnot. What's up, y'all? Let's see what this is about. The dam was built in 1930. Water rights, whatever it was, water rights, you know, the Colorado River passes. But the dam wasn't California.
MattIt wasn't built for us, it was built for California. Ah, fuck it. Whatever.
JoeGo ahead, no, but yeah, I get it. I get it. It's you know, but there's we're not even the we're not even the one that controls it. No, but Lake Powell is beyond us. Lake Powell's before us, too. There we go. We want him over. Let's go for the love of the game. We chill him. Let's go. I just wanted to make sure we just got a new a new homie up in the chat.
MattSo we do talk golf. Go ahead. Yeah, this all comes back to Vegas golf.
JoeThere's 385 episodes before this where there's a shit ton of golf. But go ahead, sorry.
MattThat was it wasn't it wasn't built for us, it was built for California. Um, it was to help, you know, supply power to California and help with the water flow down down south, and that's been going on for 60 years, 80 years now, I think.
JoeUm tell by all those dates they'd be growing out there in that palm desert.
MattDude, unbelievable the size of those date farms. Unbelievable. Um but yeah, so the they they don't have water restrictions down there. They don't. They shut up damn, shut up damns. Uh and and we do, and our water restrictions are killing so advanced that countries in the Middle East send their reps to learn from us on how to conserve water. We are miles ahead of the curve. Yeah, miles ahead of the curve. Um, and we're grateful that we the city is where it is right now because of that. Because had the SNGA, or not the SNGA, the Southern Nevada Water Authority and Las Vegas Valley Water District not done that, we'd be in some serious trouble right now.
JoeWe'd have like two golf courses. Yeah, the cost of that though is our golf courses are going away because I don't there's what I don't think I don't think it's I don't think desert well, you're gonna get into DP, but I don't think it's because of the water.
MattWell, no, it that's not because of the water, but the land is so valuable out here that it's the the the expense of the water and the restrictions of the water and the fines from the water are making people go, Well, fuck, let's get rid of this land, make some money on it, and we're out. You know, that's what happened at Royal Lynx.
JoeThey you know it's no, they wanted to build homes. No, the it's all about homes because people need to the land, it's the land value, though. That there's so land value, it's not the water that's the problem.
MattBut the I'm saying if if the water wasn't such an issue with a lot of these places, no, right? I I don't think DP would close.
JoeI don't think I all the houses that are and things that are gonna be bathrooms and everything that's gonna be built on that land is gonna use water.
MattI know, but people are gonna drink water. That's at the cost of those people there, not the people who manage the gulf.
JoeOh, it's money, it's money.
MattYes, it's money value.
JoeIt's not water, it's money. That's what I'm trying to get at.
MattIt's not water, it's money. I disagree. I think it has a lot to do with the water. The water is has become it's gold, it's fucking gold right now. And what they're charging people to actually maintain water, you know what you have a golf course, you have one entity, you have the golf course that has to pay the water bill, or you can sell the land for a shit ton of money and put that responsibility on the 200 people that are gonna move in on that land. That's a no-brainer. That's a no-brainer.
JoeThis is true, Kyle. More water, better cork. Not always, though. Not always, but yes, and there's ways to mitigate that. And have you have you guys seen uh what is it called? Turf DAR, where they can they can go through and look with the radar and see where the wet and dry spots are, so they're not watering overly wet areas. Like water is not cheap, but uh, did you? I saw that mock-up, what they're gonna build over there. There's like fountains and shit, you know, like oh yeah, but that's water is gonna be used either way.
MattI understand that, but you're looking at, like I said, one entity footing that bill versus a selling to a developer that's gonna sell to the homeowners, that's gonna sell to the properties, that's gonna pass that water usage along.
JoeSo it's a pyramid scheme, is what you're saying.
MattNo, it's just why why should we waste our money?
JoeGolf course one, and then 40 40 tenants, that's 40 people paying the water, not one entity. Yeah, to me. So they can raise the raise the prices because there's more people paying increments and they make more money.
MattYeah, you know, if if golf courses started uh putting water usage fees on green fees out here to cover some of the bills. Oh, I mean, that's what they're doing.
JoeWe need to have darden on soon, too. They just replaced an entire lake at Angel Park.
MattYeah, that and I was talking with uh Favs about that. Some good stuff on that.
JoeYeah, good stuff. We should just do a podcast where it's Darden and Favs. We we're not even there, they just talk, they just talk, yeah.
MattThere's another thing going on in Coyote Springs right now, you know, that there's this is getting crazy, and you know, I I'm starting to read more about it to finding out a lot about it. I thought a lot of it was shady Harry Reid and his stupid kids and their political ambitions and doing shady shit under the table, which I'm sure that was probably some of it. Um, but they had no way to provide the water data that they did. They they speculated that there was this much water in the ground, there's a whole nother fucking lake under the ground, and we got plenty of water. And uh yeah, code Cody's fine. They got they got wealth, yeah.
JoeThey'll be all right. Don't worry about it, deal.
MattYeah, um, they're not going anywhere. But as far as another course coming out, there was what we want. That that's gonna be so up in the air for so long.
JoeI thought it was all cleared. Yeah, not all cleared anything.
DanThere's there's something going on out there because they've got a whole new patch of grass right by the clubhouse. When you leave the clubhouse, it's like a almost a football field big. I don't know exactly what they're doing. I don't know if it's gonna be like a maintenance patch or whatever. Marijuana fields. There's yeah, it could be. Um, all these roads are getting cleared out now, like maintenance roads and stuff.
Mattlike that like it's like they're trying to let's go dude clear out a lot of stuff for either either just easier access to the course to maintain it or access to the other side where they're gonna start building the other course we we don't know we will find out in a f in time I feel like I mean the lawsuit that's going on is crazy um I thought it was all settled no it's not it's there was supposed to be a Walmart out there and a bunch of homes and yeah 10 000 homes and four golf courses it was supposed that was before covet yeah it was supposed to be the PG oh this was back in 2014 yeah long long long long time ago yeah 10,000 homes four golf courses a PGA tour training facility it was supposed to be in the new palm springs and uh they went whoa uh there's no fucking water yeah yeah there's plenty of water no there's not so but it's it's this water thing that's going on in town right now is is crazy seeing all these fucking tinfoil hat guys on Instagram to like you better get out of the you better get out of that desert somebody posted one of the Vegas Instagram accounts that talks about Vegas posted a video of the Haas facility you know 2.5 million square feet it's gonna bring all these jobs but there you know the there are a lot of tech jobs and a lot of industry jobs that you know a lot of people here are trained for so no this is what she was she was just saying this and she's like so hey data data centers you're talking about yeah no no no they're not a data center this is a this is a manufacturing it's in foil i don't even want to get into data centers um but she was saying that hey go to their website check the certifications go get certified there's gonna be jobs there's gonna be a shit ton of jobs don't want our locals missing out on these jobs and then bringing people in from out of state to work them to find out what certifications you need go get it handled and you know have enough and I thought that was a great post every comment where's the fucking water coming from where's the water there's no water why are they building a place like this no water and I'm like dude like every every comment about building everything right now is all where's the water where's the water honestly my least favorite bill I've said it before on the podcast is the water reclamation bill every every quarter every year but I hate that I hate that bill but they're doing good work over there they really are doing good work over there they they thankfully they thought about this a long time ago and we'll be fine I have I'm not worried at all but yeah I am worried about golf courses closing if they close another golf course we're screwed yeah absolutely silverstone badlands black mountain royal inks like we gotta play golf did you see uh as long as Pi stays open we're good yeah pie it's gonna be fine pie it's gonna be the only one left at one point yeah but I did see hey shout out Mount Gotteric thank you guys thank Matt so much for your service to the to the city the valley of Las Vegas he's back in Portugal found a new home hey he traded them for us and then he traded back which is fine homecoming but uh I did see like a little uh instagram clip of some dude talking about um the DP closing and uh he did a great job and you know there was a there was a story of a guy where he used to it they used to call uh between six and seven I think is what he said it used to call it crawdad like stream or something did you guys see this or no came across my feed but uh dude is like older now he grew up out here and they used to go like try and pick crawdads out of like a little stream between six and seven and um at desert pines and he's like it's sad to see it go there was like a sandy beach I don't recall this but I don't recall that either that's the thing that really sucks is like the stories and memories I know you guys hate desert pines these guys hate desert pines they used to play in the desert there before it would become a golf course well there you go that's a story that's a memory unlock it but it was a desert it wasn't no stream with a beach or anything like that that's now you well it's on Washington no I think it was just like a little corner a little corner probably it was probably run off water I hear the I hear the crawdads are pretty nice in the stream on 17 at national yeah get a cold crawfish boil going yeah you get a crawfish and uh shopping cart that while you're down there to put them in but that's the thing
The $2,000 LAB Golf Uncrustable Putter
Mattyou're losing with the courses closing is like there's a lot of memories like we'll I'll forever remember when we were trying to hoard Malbon basketballs out of that place.
JoeYou know what I mean? Yeah that's that's it's it's you're losing uh a piece of uh your soul or memories that's what's sad I'm trying to get out there this week it sucks that another golf course is closing I'm not gonna lose sleep over desert pines closing though just just yeah see then the it's these guys it's guys like these right here where where is he at if I'll be quite honest I uh I haven't lost sleep over any of the golf courses closing except for Royal Lynx and um Preminks well I I didn't think about Prem but uh Silverstone but silverstone's Prem is a long ass time prim is sad I wish I could have played Silverstone yeah Silverstone was good silverstone was good and Black Mountain closed before I got to play it I always saw it up there and didn't like golf now and shout out golf that was old daylight daylight 15 golf now oh got paint remember shout out golf ball i still have mine in the garage put that on eBay i don't have it i don't have any three thousand dollars now sold all them shits oh how three four of them joints how about the two thousand dollar lab uncrustable collab insane who's buying it who's buying dollars who the head cover is dope but the put the rest of the putter is garbage two thousand dollars hey what's up two thousand dollars i was like maybe i'll buy it but and i mean you can you can get a circle tee for that price yeah and have an iconic piece of history or you can have a purple uncrustable lab yeah yeah yeah no thanks i hey go get your nut i'm sure there's a plenty of people that sold that out do you think there there's a you think it's sold out is it sold out we need if it hasn't sold out somebody'll somebody'll get it there's also if you're new new to this podcast you need to go listen to the lab episode when we had sam on pre-buyout pre-buyout and listen to that episode one of the greatest episodes we've done i think but go listen to Sam Han love uncrustables i could live on yeah but i are they sold out there's dude if they're sold out let me see lamb go off i don't think there's there's no way they sold out nobody's spending 2k on that unless you're an absolute theme it wouldn't surprise me if they do sell out there's a lot of posting their their pay 2k there's a lot of people that are just dumb enough they'll they'll put that shit like they'll charge it on credit cards or business accounts and they'll get them yeah yeah yeah yeah the new Taylor made golf baseball golf balls they knocked that out the park that was yeah the baseball golf balls are sick sick yeah oh no let's see oh they got them all still oh the vision one dot one eye is sold out the honest one and the df3 is not sold out see the newer models sold out for quick right away sure the other ones are sold out that now go look on now go look on eBay and see how many vision lab uncrustable putters are listed for four thousand dollars you're gonna have one thousand dollar putter covers too how much are they charge up for the putter covers yo on the website to this 100 bucks 100 bucks there were a hundred bucks I bet you those would be at least five hundred bucks on some of the oh absolutely at least it's fucking crazy no thanks no that is I'd rather rock that is why people people got it there's there's some people out there that I'd rather make my head cover for my lab yeah I need a fairway head cover Joe maybe we'll do that next yeah get you get you a whole set get you some fairways get you a hybrid I was talking to Peter limb and he was like you need to create like a hybrid and a fairway for all characters.
DanYes you do that way everybody can identify but we'll see I was picking Peter's uh brain out at Buller Bowler Creek but I got some plans I got some plans we'll see what happens yeah I posted this video on TikTok of uh Jeremy's uh massive oh come on that's too bad it's too bright uh you still can't see it yeah I still can't see it anyway uh how the hell did Jeremy outdrive you by 84 yards uh he hit a bomb and I didn't hit one very good but yeah yeah it was an absolute it was an absolute bomb yeah as soon as he hit it I was just like that is so far past me it's not even it's not even you guys talk I gotta go put a sheet up uh uh oh so yeah so they want to watch the they want to watch the projector and also I changed the flag right here to the Purcell farms nobody caught it per cell farms because your head blocks it I have i have I put the dynamite one up yeah I got the well I got the sticker here I got my Purcell flag here though yeah my Purcell flag is right there do I have one yeah I do bam such a sick logo too oh such a sick logo I got mine on the wall it's behind me right there's great if yeah if you guys haven't been to Purcell it's in Alabama you need to go it's ridiculous Adrian said took Calloway to make a circus animal driver oh dude two thousand two thousand dollars I know that's nuts unbelievable maybe I go we we'll take one of the CDP grips we'll each sign it and then we'll put it on eBay for a thousand dollars let's do that yeah hey you never know never know you never know some like fuck that thing's fire let me grab that you never know I can't believe that when I did it uh what uh who was it that uh oh it was a precision pro where he taped the uh he was a precision pro to frame million dollars for a million dollars that's that's so awesome we need to do that bro yeah a hundred percent we'll do that just to see what happens my god so what did you think of classic club i want to play that golf course in good shape it's a little rough yeah it's a little and I mean it's they were closing the next day they it was the last day they're open it was windy as hell yeah um but uh yeah I I want
Playing Classic Club in Palm Springs
Danto play I like the greens are small um there's a lot of character a lot of water a lot of character and uh there there was a lot of fun holes that that 18th hole I mean I'm trying to think of a place here where the 18th hole has uh you know a 200 yard all water carry to a backright pin um I would say I would it's not all water carry but I would say maybe 18 at Coyote Springs might be the closest just off top but yeah kind of just because it has how it has a little slight dog leg it's just it's it's such a good such a good closing hole you know because it's it's downhill it's long you don't have to go for it you can go left you know and and be safe but I was like I'm this first time I'm gonna play this might never never play it again let's see what happens yeah and uh yeah it was it's a it's a good I just I would definitely go back in like October November and play it when it's it's in really really good shape yeah but I'm the tour played it in March or February right that's when that the Bob Hope was it was early in the year right yeah I think it's like old school yeah so I'm I still want to go find some footage see if I can find some footage of that because it's the course has a lot of character I liked it.
MattYeah Foster and I played that um quite a few years ago we went to Palm Springs for a golf weekend and uh yeah that was one of the courses we played we it was it was really nice and I mean it was a it was a great deal it was 90 90 bucks yeah they gave you a thing about it out there a ghost golf towel that was logoed with classic club on it which is a a great little waffle towel and it's smaller so I like it because I can you know like take a towel to the green with me um and then a $25 food credit.
DanSo I mean it was uh the logo the logo is kind of weak. Oh is there it's you know when you just a classic club with a little flag in between it and uh yeah you gotta you gotta do something better.
JoeThe thing about Palm Springs it's it's the same thing as like Scottsdale Phoenix area it's like um when it's hot tea times are way cheaper. Same thing with Vegas too but oh absolutely I mean like I I when uh my my but it wasn't hot that's what was crazy you found a good day but it's it's the awesome it was like 72 when I got up in the morning and by the time I got done it was you know lower 90s it was it was gorgeous well they got the same like peak season for us you know it and like just like Scottsdale I mean I was there in December and TBC Scottsdale was 650 bucks and then I went back in June and it was 120 you know so Palm Springs gets so expensive super expensive and I got to play with it's like I'm saying uh we played Asina I think it was called Jack Nicholas it felt like chimera but and that was like 140 150 and it was like you know not one of the premiere spots but yeah dude in off season that place is so expensive yeah so you you you walked away with a bunch of deals out there oh yeah I was very happy with some weather too yeah it was I mean classic club was windy but that was that was it um it kept the bugs away but the other uh Rams Hill the bugs weren't bad they were not great but they weren't bad but then the last day it was calm and it was hot and god the bugs were everywhere are you are are you aware of Porcupine Creek out there? Oh yeah that that private so yeah it's like super super super exclusive but they have a staying play I know I but you're shelling out a lot of money it's over a grand for one night so it's there you go there you have it I want to play the I want to play Ladera who was I was talking to Jared Ladera yeah Ladera is the uh is that the private the lemon one the lemon farm one way down south yeah he he was like I can we can get out there but it's gonna be a G. Upcoming Guests: Xchange Golf & Harry Arnett
Matttalk about. All right, I'll tell you about a couple of things we got upcoming Thursday. I'm interviewing the guys from Exchange Golf. If you remember the uh putter shafts that you can swap the grips on. Um they're kind of blowing up right now. So we're gonna have those gentlemen on to talk about that. And then next week, I'm interviewing Harry Arnett, who is one of the co-founders of Municipal. And I'm really looking forward to that one. I bet you are. I'm sure you are for a couple reasons. One, I'm a big fan of the municipal brand, big muni guy, big big advocate for mutiny golf.
JoeHe's a big pal for municipal.
MattQuite a bit of municipal gear in my closet. Um, but Harry used to be the marketing director for Callaway. And back when I was writing reviews for Three Guys Golf, he was our contact. So I used to reach out to him uh and get clubs to to review for three guys. So um gonna be a great conversation. I can't wait to hear about how uh he's got into running a clothing brand. So uh that'll be a good one. So I can get my driver to explain that to me.
JoeYeah, even what's his name? The dude that does good boy originals, wasn't he part of that? He was part of Callaway, you know, Good Boy Originals. He's part of municipal too. He was he worked at Callaway, so he's he killed some people, but one of the guys from uh uh Dude Perfect, Chad.
MattHe's he's a Callaway guy. He was Callaway for a while, too.
DanReally?
JoeSmall world guys, small world guys.
DanCallaway just producing all kinds of talent.
JoeTelling you, telling you. Shout out, shout out Taylor Man quicker, quicker on the shipping, quicker on the shipping.
MattQuicker on the shipping. Yeah, Dan, I don't know what's going on with your driver. I'll I'll send side message, see if at least find out if there's their heads are on back order or or what.
DanWhat shaft did you order with it? Just the stock one because the one I wanted wasn't wasn't available. So when I ordered it, it says ships in one to two weeks, and we are oh we are past week three now. So all right. I've been patient. I'm on it. And I've been patient. But I'm driverless.
JoeI got a Nike in the garage if you need it. I feel naked without a driver.
DanDude, I'll be honest with you. I played Coyote Springs and I hit that new uh triple diamond five wood quantum. Dude, the DI? Yeah, I had 270 hill into what is that? Six five, the par five with the split fairway? Six or no, that's five, five, five. I put it in the back bunker and then and then on eighteen, um, I had 104 yards in. I mean, I know it's downhill, but yeah, still still five less. That fucking five wood goes. It's a rocket. Yeah, and I got the link, uh, I got the link um white in there, 8 TX in that thing.
MattI I hit uh the TI five wood 25 yards further than my uh regular Quantamax five wood.
DanI will say the titanium does feel really good when I hit it at revere, it felt really, really, really nice. But it might be too hot if I'm hitting this one that far. But I'm I'm actually contemplating putting a seven wood in the bag, Maddie. Ooh, comment to get all that too. I might I might get the triple diamond seven wood and then just take out the four take out the three iron. Well, I have a three-iron out now, but take out the uh W21 and just rock with the seven wood.
MattI struggle I struggle because I the I'm playing the A150s and I got the the A wedge in the set. And uh I don't know if you guys, if anybody that's watching remembers, the the grooves on the set wedge are the same as the irons, they're not wedge grooves. Uh even though it's a wedge, it has iron grooves, not wedge grooves. Um, so it doesn't spin as much. It still spins, but not as much, and it it carries a little bit further. But I I cannot hit that a wedge to save my life. Um, but I I have the new Opus SP 52. I'm hitting that further than that A wedge. Shake the A wedge. Yeah. So I when we played uh Paiute on 4th of July, uh, I put that I have a Nike 48 degree old Carl Patterson uh 48 degree. That it was a 49, and I bent it to 48, and uh played great with it. Played great with it. So um I found a uh used but in great shape 48 degree Hope is SP.
DanNice. Oh yeah.
MattThat's in route.
JoeI did see this comment from um Drive Only, X Drive Only.
DanOh, the East Coast golf.
JoeYeah, it's a East Coast golf. I'm down for it. I've played East Coast golf. Oh yeah, Joe's East Coast Golf.
MattYeah, that's Joe saying that, not the podcast. That's Joe.
JoeYeah, that's me. But I've also played Bitterman, which man, we it's a fun spot. But Matt's got some special ship potentially coming up on the east coast.
MattYes, there may be a wingfoot round.
JoeHoly moly, wingfoot boys, yeah. Wingy boys, wingy, wingy boys, wingy boys.
MattThat that is a logo I would proudly wear right there. Yeah, I wish I could. I want to wear it. Look at my Beth Page themed t-shirt. Hey.
DanOh have you played it?com.
MattIt's not a Beth Page t-shirt, it's a Beth Page themed. Inspired, you gotta stay inspired. Joe's gotta inspired it. Joe's got you there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, special, yeah. I'm hope it happens. Hope it happens.
JoeNo, that would be sick. I know Red Drop has played it. Red Drop has played it.
MattHe's played everywhere, except for the BGN.
JoeYeah. Well, Apple's played Sandhills, Bally Neal. I mean, yeah, Bally Neal was well, his dad's a member at Austin Country Club. So really yeah. Del Math Story.
MattAll right. Well, let's uh let's wrap this up. Um get out of here. Um I don't think we need to do an after show tonight. I like doing them with Jeremy since he's not here. We won't uh we'll see tonight, by the way. He just said he has some stuff going on, so I figure it's either work-related or kid crisis or car related, most likely. You never know. Let me check his Instagram. We did have a blast over to South's on the fourth.
JoeUh I wish I could have made it. I wish I could have made it fourth, dude. Like I I when I was walking into work on July 4th, I I walked past somebody and they said, Hey, July 4th, let's go. I was like, Yeah, another one at uh you know this place, basically. I'm not quoting, but she's like, Maybe next year. So I don't know. I I would love to just barbecue and we were sitting there on the patio, and I'm like, after the fireworks, I was like, Well done, Joe.
MattWell done.
JoeYeah, it's good. It was a good show. I mean, I didn't let him, but yeah, music.
MattWe hey, everybody at the party thinks you had something to do with it.
JoeSo that's pretty cool. That's pretty cool.
MattBrooklyn says to me afterwards, she goes, What does Joe do?
JoeFireworks, design fireworks.
MattAll right, Joe, wrap it up and let's get the heck out of here.
