Hello everyone. This is Pastor Dean Thompson with a word of hope healing at Genesaret Matthew chapter fourteen verses thirty four through thirty six. And when they were gone over they came into the land of Genesaret, and when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased, and besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment, and as many as touched were made perfectly whole. When they reached Kenesareth, people immediately recognized Jesus. They sent all around sent around to all that region and brought to him all who were sick. The word sent around there, apostolo, suggests urgent, purposeful action. The sick people begged that they might only touch the fringe of his garment, and as many as touched it were made well. The fringe refers to the tassels Jewish men wore on their garments as reminders of God's commandments. Their faith was simple but powerful. They believed that even touching Jesus' clothing would bring healing. The word made well, diazodzo, means to save thoroughly or heal completely. How desperately do you seek Jesus when you have needs? Do you believe that even a simple touch from him can transform your situation? What is preventing you from getting close enough to touch Jesus? Oh Lord, please give us desperate faith that seeks you above all else. Help us to believe that even the smallest contact with you can bring complete healing. Please draw us close enough to touch you. Amen. God bless you, brothers and sisters.
