Hello everyone. This is Pastor Dean Thompson with a word of hope healing and feeding the four thousand. Matthew chapter fifteen verses twenty nine through thirty nine. And Jesus departed from thence and came unto the Sea of Galilee, and went up into a mountain, and sat down there. And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet, and he healed them. Insomuch that the multitude wondered when they saw when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see. And they glorified the God of Israel. Then Jesus called his disciples unto him and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat, and I will not send them away fasting lest they faint in the way. And his disciples say unto him, When should we have so much bread in the wilderness as to feed to fill such a great, such greater multitude? And Jesus said unto him, unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven and a few little fishes. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves and the fishes and gave thanks and broke them, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat and were filled. And they took up of the broken meat that was left, seven baskets full. And they that eat, that they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children. And he sent away the multitude and took ship and came into the coasts of Magdala. So Jesus went up on a mountain, and great multitudes brought their sick to him the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and the others. He healed them all, causing the crowd to glorify the God of Israel. Jesus was actually in Gentile territory here. After three days, Jesus called his disciples, I have compassion on the crowd because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. His compassion was deep and genuine. With seven loaves and a few small fish, Jesus fed four thousand men, plus women and children. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left over. Again, God's provision exceeded the need. And if we notice in the story, in the first, in the healing of the in the feeding of the five thousand, that took place in Jewish territory. And after everybody ate, there were 12 baskets full remaining. Meaning God has God is able to feed all of Israel. 12 baskets representing 12 tribes. But here in Gentile territory, Jesus fed 7,000 people. Let me check, let me make sure. In Gentile territory, he fed 4,000. But they had seven loaves and seven baskets full or left. And and in Gentile territory, when when when when when Israel entered Canaan, they had to conquer seven great nations. So in this miracle, Christ is say showing that He has bread enough to feed not just Israel, but bread enough to feed the whole world. Say amen now. With seven loaves and a few small fish, Jesus fed four thousand men, plus women and children. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces left over. Again, God's provision exceeded need.
