The Godolphin Flying Start course is a two year full-time management and leadership program for the Thoroughbred industry created by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum. Season 3 Episode 7
The seventh episode of season three features your hosts, Johnny Marsh (UK) and Harrison Everett (AUS), who are currently in the third month of their USA phase of the course. The first-year trainees have been busy with many farm visits, meetings, workshops and completing their University of Kentucky Nutrition module and Legal module at Stoll Keenon and Ogden. The guest for this episode is none other than New Orleans native Gary Palmisano, Vice President of Racing at Churchill Downs. Gary goes into great depth about his background, the success and running of Churchill and looks ahead to the future of racing. Finally, Johnny and Harrison check in with second-year trainee Sarah Kelly (IRE), who is completing the final phase of the programme back in Ireland.
