There are many stupid things in plastic surgery - on this show, we discuss the removal of submandibular salivary glands.  Those are the lumps in the sides of the neck that break up the beautiful contour of a youthful neck. Those lumps make up about 2/3 of your saliva - and when they are removed, you might have dry mouth symptoms, or your might have more tooth decay, or you might require lemony squirts in your mouth the rest of your life just so you can speak and swallow properly.  So, why on earth would you want to remove those glands?  For the purpose of maybe looking a little better?  Oh come on now.....
