And I think we have so many misconceptions, right, about like the church of God. And there's so many debates on, you know, what is a church, and can I do a home church? And can I be this kind of church? And can I be that kind of church? And it always boggles my mind when people get into like these um arguments or debates about stuff like this. It's all right here. It's not uh truly a mystery when you really get into the word of God. Not to be mistaken with the mysteries of God, there's definitely those. So let's just get into the word this morning, and as always, there's a lot of word. Um, so first and foremost, a church in the Greek is um eclesia, or I'm I'm probably saying it wrong. In the Greek, that's what it is, eclesia.

Yeah, in Grego is eclesia.

And it means a group of people called out for a purpose. A specific purpose. And what I found interesting about this word is that it means called out. So I think that if we just just think about those words, it it really says a lot about the church, right? We ought not be a church that just stays inward and that does things inward, we are called outside of these four walls. So I think just in in those words, and I um I would like one day to just really get into the different uh governments and the different um institutes of this earth. And just to plant a seed, there's three we have government, family, and church. But I'm not gonna get into that, that's like a whole nother study that's a good idea. So we are a people called out, we are chosen people. We are the body of Christ. So we're gonna go to 1 Corinthians 12 27. And as we go there, how many of you guys brought your sword with you? And I don't want to make anybody feel bad, I just want you to switch it up a little bit and switch your mentality, but you should not come to church without your sword. Um, so 1 Corinthians 12 27. And I say this, I've said this before, and I get confused what I said where, because I get the privilege of teaching with youth as well. Um but I like to get talked back to, so when you get to your word, please say amen. You know, speak back to me. So the word of God says this. Now you are the body of Christ and members individually. And that's a really short one, but it's it's it's packed with so much, right? And the NLT version would say, All of you together are Christ's body, and each of you is a part of it. Yes, amen. And then the next word I want to uh read is Romans 12, 4 through 5. And it's right before, so it's not it shouldn't be hard to get there. 12 4 through 5. Romans 12, 4 through 5. Can I get an amen? Amen. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we being many are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Yeah, four and five. And then it goes on to speak of the different gifts that we each have and have received. But but I love this part that it says that we are one body in Christ. And individually, members of one another. And it's important when we read the word that we don't rush through the reading of the word of God. Because if there's one thing that I've learned as I grow closer and closer to God, he is super intentional about every single word that he speaks and says in his word. So we are members of the body of Christ, one in one another. So together. So as a church, we are to be are we are required to be an active body part. And we are to be a functioning, active, healthy body part of the body of Christ. And this is how we become a healthy church, a strong church. So there is not one body part that is not functioning the way it's supposed to. And where does it say this? And let's go to Ephesians 4, 15 through 16. Yep, Ephesians 4, 15 through 16. I'm gonna try to get through this as fast as possible. But I don't want to leave anything out because what the Lord deposits must be given. All right. So I'm gonna ask you to partner with me and together getting to the word quick enough so that we can get it out. So it says, but speaking the truth in love, that we may grow up in all things into him who is the head Christ, from whom the whole body joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the identifying of itself in love. I know that was a lot of words, but let's break it down quickly here. Christ is the head of this body. Right? We are the whole body. We are knit together. We are knit together. Yes, we are knit together. Could one of us be apart from the other and not be completely together? There's no way. Could my thumb not be a part of my body and work together with my body? I love the fact that God uses this to get us to understand how important the unity in the church is. And that we cannot function one without the other. We should not function without one without the other. And then it says that we are knit together by what every joint supplies. Each joint in our body supplies something when it is functioning correctly. So each one of us as a part of the body supplies something should supply something to the body of Christ whom is the head that is the church, and when we work together and we understand this, we become a powerful, strong, healthy church. So I think it's important to talk about these things. Because you see, at least for me, in right now in the church as a whole, you see so much division in like so many things. And we need to understand that when we get to heaven, things are not gonna be broken. It's not like we're gonna check in and we're oh, I'm I'm from Momentum. Oh, Momentum Church is over there.

No, absolutely not.

Yeah, no, no, we're not going to a hotel, we're going to a kingdom. And so we are one body as a whole. So there should be no division. We should all work for and toward each other. So that we can be a powerful church. And when we walk in unity, when we walk as one, as the word tells us, then we can truly help each other here. And then we are called out to go out there. And in in the youth, um Jonah Jonah are teaching right now, um, sorry, our series right now is uh a healthy church, right? Yes. And so I love that because together with this teaching, it's it's so imperative that we are a healthy church. And and those of you that know me, you know that I have a great imagination. And I don't mean great in as in a boastful way, I mean great as in big. But I just I thank God for that, because he's given me this like imagination that it's wild. And I was I was thinking about us as the body of Christ. And I thought, could you imagine like your body going all over the place? Like you're trying to go somewhere, there's a purpose for where you're trying to go. Like you're trying like me, I'm trying to get up because I have to start doing school with my girls. And then my hand says, Well, I'm not gonna wake up today. And then my foot says, I'm just gonna go this way. My left foot says, No, I'm going that way. And then my organs are like causing me all kinds of trouble. Like bathroom trouble, if you know what I'm saying. And then you're like, wait a minute, what is going on? This is chaos. And that is exactly if we are not careful, we can become chaos in the body of Christ. That is why I believe that the Lord wants us to be so knit together as a church. So that as his body we could be healthy and functioning. And I want to go to First Peter four ten. That was a good analogy. It worked for me, telling you right now. He said, Lord, I will work with your people. Kidoki, so first four ten, uh, first Peter four ten. As each one of you has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Go ahead.

I you should see my Bible studies at home sometimes are crazy. I have about three Bibles, four Bibles just open up all over the place.

So the NLT version of this would say as God has given each one of you a gift, from his great variety of gifts, his great variety of spiritual gifts, keep them to yourselves.

Be selfish with your gifts. Show them off when you can. That's not what it says, right? It says, use them well to serve one another. Use them well.

Great emphasis on well to serve one another.

What does serving using them well look like?

We have to walk in the spirit constantly, always constantly so that when we go to administer and use our gifts, none of it comes from this flesh.

It all has to come from the Father. We use them well towards each other. We don't use them to attack, we don't use them to hurt anybody, we also don't use them to make somebody feel better, or to just be like, oh, everything is good. No, we use them well in wisdom.

And full knowledge and completo conocimiento.

So these gifts that we have been imparted as a church. And if you're somebody that says, Well, I don't even know if I have a gift, I don't think I have a gift. You have a gift. Because it doesn't say some of you will receive some, it doesn't say that. We will all be imparted with a gift. It's not gonna look the same. Some of you are called to be prayer warriors. People that go hard in your prayer room. Some of you are called to just love on people.

A simple hug. A smile.

We are all called the problem here sometimes is that we think, well, I don't get called up there, or I don't get to do this or get to do that. We have to be a people that gets so close to God that we know exactly what he wants. That we know the gift that he has imparted in us because we've been so deep in his presence. That we walk in in full knowledge of who he is in our lives. That we become a true, uh truly become a kingdom church. And that we understand why it's so important to be one in Christ as the body. Not for our glory, not for nuestra glory, not for our own good, but because we hold the keys of the kingdom. And I was talking to my family about this last night. Do you know what it means to hold the keys to the kingdom of God? And I want to give you this analogy. How many of you guys are parents in this room or grandparents in this room? Oh, Jordan's a dad. What? He raised his hand, guys.

So even if you're not a parent in this room or a grandparent in this room, you can totally relate to this.

Can you imagine you go, hey, son, uh, daughter, or you know, friend or whoever it is, if you're not a parent, like I said. You walk them to this beautiful house on the beach. And you go, this is yours. Here. You give them the keys to the house. And you're like, wait, what? It's all paid for. You're sure everything is paid for? You don't have to worry about absolutely nothing that provides for that house. The bills are paid, the food is always gonna be full, uh the pantries are gonna be full, the fridge is always gonna be full. That house is yours. But I have one requisite one requirement. You have to I want you to invite a lot of people to enjoy of what there is in there. You have to take them in there and enjoy all of it with them. And then you leave and you come back after about, I don't know, a month, a week, it doesn't matter. And you see them standing outside. You're like, uh with all his friends and stuff, and you're like, what are you doing? Well, um, just standing, but why? I gave you the keys to the house. Why aren't you enjoying it? How frustrated would you be to see that your son, your daughter, your friend is outside living with how do you say migajas in English? I don't even know how to say that. That's such a good word in Spanish. The crumbs. You're living with crumbs outside of the house when you can have a house that is full of everything you could possibly ever need. That is what it's like for God when we hold the keys and we hold them in our pocket. And we are not fully living in the power and the authority that He has given us. So let me I want to read Ephesians 1 19 through 23. And we're almost done here. I also pray that you will read you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe in him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honoring at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else. He is over everything, everything, not only in this world, but in the world to come, who has put all things under his authority, the authority of Christ, and has made him, Christ, the head of over all things for the benefit of who? Of us, the church. Say, of me. We are the church. He did it all for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body. It is it's made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself. Church, we have been given the keys of the kingdom. We have to learn to understand exactly what that means. And do you know the only way that we can truly understand that is walking in close proximity with God. We have to walk closely with God. Reading our word. We should not care at all about anything that the world has to say or anybody for that fact that doesn't understand. Our goal should be to look more like him. So that we can open the door to the people that are lost. They were not just out preaching the gospel. You know what they were doing? They were out destroying kingdoms. They were out destroying the thought patterns of people. We should be kingdom builders. So that we can destroy dark kingdoms. So that we can bring down all the rulers of this age. That is truly what and who we are. That is what a kingdom church is. Without saying this.
