Healing with nature?

Yep, that's a thing.

Recently, we learned trees could actually replace red light therapy.

So I figured we'd dive a little deeper into the nature thing.

We're going to explore some unconventional nature based practices

that offer a refreshing break from traditional medicine.

Trust me, it's about to get a whole lot greener here.

First let's talk about forest bathing,

and no swimsuits are required.

You've heard of forest bathing, right?

Well, I hadn't, but that's okay.

It's not talking about taking a dip en naturel.

The Japanese call it "Shinrin-yoku"

just immersing yourself in the vibe of the forest.

I kind of get that.

No soap water needed, just soak up the fresh air and let nature work its magic.

Meditating with Mother Nature.

Speaking of good vibes, have you tried meditating outdoors?

I've done this one.

Plop yourself down on a cozy log and breathe in that pine or fir scented goodness.

It's like nature's chill pill

without any harsh side effects at all.

Why stress over prescriptions when you can just chill, right?

Plants have all the good remedies.

Herbal teas, essential oils, good old fashioned plant knowledge.

Nature has been dishing out remedies long before pharmaceuticals existed.

And get this, the flowers can't send you an outrageous bill.

Score!

Try this, get your hands dirty.

You ever do that when you were a kid?

Ecotherapy is the love child of you and nature.

Get your hands dirty by gardening, tree hugging, or whatever connects you with the great outdoors.

It's like soul tender for finding your earthly match.

And then mix it up.

Here's the real deal.

Why choose between traditional alternative therapies when you can mix it up?

Acupressure in a rainforest?

Sign me up.

Your therapist prescribing waterfall gazing.

Hey, I'm game.

The bottom line is this.

Healing comes in many forms and nature just happens to have some quirky, but effective ones up her sleeve.

So next time you're feeling a little off,

grab your hiking boots

and get ready to flirt with mother nature herself.

Whether you're barefoot in the grass

or serenading the sunset,

she's got your back.

Until we talk next time, move well, stay healthy, be happy,

and head outdoors for that amazing healing.
