Yesterday we had a little discussion

about not beating yourself up,

about easing into things,

changes you want to make in your life.

Well, today I'm going to throw one more thought in.

Make sure it's a change you really want to do.

I'm going to equate this to what happens in our studios on a regular basis.

I see people and they're... they're obsessed

with losing weight.

They think they need to lose weight.

Do they?

I don't know. I don't know.

I truly believe that eating whole natural foods

and an eating plan that's going to make you trim

because it'll just happen naturally is a positive.

I think being overweight may be an indication of some underlying issues.

But what I want you to do is stop and ask yourself,

look in the mirror and go,

okay, I hate the way I look,

but do you?

And do you have any issues?

Is there anything that's making you want to lose the weight?

Are you pre diabetic?

Are you diabetic?

Do you have other issues?

Do you have lethargy? Lethargy?

Do you... are you tired all the time?

If you are, maybe you do need to lose that weight,

but if you're not,

maybe you're in a good spot for you right now

and maybe working on some other things,

that will eventually lead to the weight loss,

if you do them,

might be a better way to go.

So I want you, no matter what your goal is...

like me quitting coffee,

do I really need to quit coffee?

I don't know.

I can find you a thousand articles that say 10 cups of coffee a day is exactly what you need.

I can find you a thousand articles that say you're killing yourself.

If you drink all that coffee,

that's why I believe the best thing to do

is not really pay attention to these different studies.

They're all, they're all biased one way or the other.

Instead, pay attention to you,

to your body,

what you do,

how you feel,

how it makes you feel.

So I'm on a little adventure right now.

I'm cutting my coffee back first,

and I may even try eliminating it if...

if I continue to feel better not having the coffee,

I'm going to try eliminating it

and see how that makes me feel.

But it's a test.

I could go back to my 10 cups of coffee a day.

So I'm not doing it for any reason other than I want to be healthy.

I'm not quitting coffee because people look down their nose at me.

Uh, maybe some of you are really into your alcohol.

I think alcohol is a toxin personally,

but how about you?

How does it make you feel?

And if you're concerned that it's a toxin,

then I would recommend you quit it.

But evaluate, honestly evaluate.

Don't just blindly say, hey I'm going to make this change because I'm supposed to.

Uh uh, no.

You are in charge of your health

and I want you to listen to the innate wisdom of your body

that's going to tell you what you need to do.

And then once you decide you need to do it,

don't beat yourself up.

Like we said yesterday,

take it easy,

just go in easy.

And if you have a day... and

I can't drink only two cups of coffee a day, I drink three or four.

What the hell?

Who cares?

I'm working at making myself better every day.

I want you to work at making yourself better

every single day.

And I guarantee if you take this new attitude,

this new approach,

And you're not doing things just because I'm supposed to do it.

Yeah, things will change for the positive.

I want that for you.

I want that for everybody.

I want everybody to feel great in their body,

to move well,

stay healthy

and be happy.

Hey, look forward to talking tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'm going to tell you why vegan is a good way to go.

And it really is. I'm not, that's not a setup.

There are certain people that vegan is exactly what they need.

I'm going to tell you all about that tomorrow.

So, uh, Tune in.

Talk to you then.
