Hey guys, this is Kelly with Gia's Italian Kitchen. I am freaking out this week. So I am going to interview the New York Times best-selling author, adriana Trajani, next week. Yes, it's true, be on the lookout on this podcast and all my social medias. At the beginning of July, when I can release the interview, I will post the link to my socials in the notes here, but generally they're Gia's Italian Kitchen dot, whatever Gia's G-I-A-S, so you can watch on social or listen to my podcast. It's going to be launched. I'll do like a short and a long. This is just insane. I'm freaking out.
Speaker 1:So, um, her publicist reached out to me and asked me if I wanted to do an interview and I was like oh my, omg, yes. So let me tell you a little bit about her. If you have not heard of her, hopefully you have. So she is, like I said, new York Times bestselling author of 20 books, fiction and nonfiction. She's been published in 38 countries around the world and she wrote some of the books the Shoemaker's Wife, the Big Stone Gap, the Valentine, which was actually made into a Lifetime movie, lucia. Lucia is probably one of the ones that you've heard, to name a few. So her newest novel that comes out July 8th. It will hit shelves of 2025.'s called the view from lake como. Like, how cool is that? I love that title. So, uh, publishers weekly is calling this the best book of summer 2025.
Speaker 1:Um, it's a story about um. Her name is jess, is the character um capodamonte barata, I think, is I think is how the names are said. She is recently divorced and lives out east and her family business, her uncle Louie, is in the stone business and their home back in Italy is in Carrera, which is in the Tuscany region. It's like northwest of Florence, and this is where she learns to rebuild her life and a house that goes with it. So that is the quick and dirty of the book the View from Lake Como. Adriana Trajani and I am going to talk to her next week, so be on the lookout. I'm going to post stuff every day to social and I will keep posting to the podcast as well, so you can get little nuggets of updates, but super, super excited. This is just an amazing opportunity. So if you could do me a huge favor, so if you could do me a huge favor, share this podcast with anyone and everyone to spread the word and we'll talk to you soon. Let's get cooking.
