Episode 177: Cropsey- When an Urban Legend Became a Real-Life Nightmare

Here at EBC we're no stranger to creepy campfire tales. And we love a good urban legend. But for kids growing up in Staten Island in the 80s, the spooky lore was a little too specific. Fireside tales warned of a mysterious killer named 'Cropsey', who was said to live in the tunnels under the abandoned psychiatric facility nearby, and would sneak out at night to steal children. Kids were taught to stay out of the woods, and watch out for Cropsey hiding in the shadows.  It was a fun and thrilling tale, until children started disappearing. This week on EBC, we cover the truly twisted tale of Cropsey aka Andre Rand, the scariest serial killer you've never heard of. Hold your loved ones tight and stay inside folks!
