Bloom Where You're Planted
The Bloom Where You're Planted Podcast sponsored by Never Too Late Cafe is part of the Never Too Late Cafe online community and marketing platform developed to encourage creative endeavors that may have been put on the back burner for sometimes decades. Developing one’s art or becoming an entrepreneur after so many years during a stage of life often referred to as “the next chapter” or the “second act” can be a scary path to go alone. At Never Too Late Cafe we hope to provide the tools and a supportive environment to share the challenges and the joys of your journey. If you are someone that has ever said, “Someday I’ll finish that collection of short stories that’s gathering dust up on the shelf,” or “Someday I’ll start that business I’ve always dreamed about,” join us to share your story.
Bloom Where You're Planted
Episode 110 - Amanda Lewis
Originally from Schultz Creek, Kentucky, Amanda is no stranger to the world of art. She has been a lifelong poet, writer as well as visual artist.
Currently, Amanda is the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer for an arts and culture nonprofit in Portsmouth, Ohio called Trillium project. Creating paid opportunities for local artists and public art projects, they also make sure to engage individuals from different populations, different age groups, and different cultural backgrounds. Teaming up with Shawnee State University, they also organize a regional artist exhibition every year.
In addition to being a busy administrator for the organization, she states that being a social connector in the community is her favorite thing to do.
