Generation Gap
Generation Gap with Sam and Paul is a music podcast with a bit of a different take: just about twenty years in age separates your hosts, yet they have come together to share their experiences with music. Each episode will highlight two albums; sometimes they each choose a favorite, other times they revisit albums that may need a second…or third chance. The unscripted dialogue is less about musicology and more about the shared experiences and feelings that come from each episode’s featured albums. At the end of each episode, stay tuned for “on repeat” where we share what we can’t stop listening to that week. Generation Gap is a low-key podcast that hopes to make it into your rotation on a weekly basis! Feel free to email us at thegenerationgapmusicpodcast@gmail.com

Generation Gap Episode 5: Spoon/The War on Drugs
On this episode of Generation Gap your hosts Paul and Sam choose some very cool albums; A Deeper Understanding by The War on Drugs and They Want My Soul by Spoon. Your hosts also discuss many interesting things relating to these records, such as the beautiful and interesting sonics of The War on Drugs, and just how Spoon may be the coolest band in existence.
***A few things we'd like to clarify:
-We apologize for referring to this multiple times as our third episode. We know this is technically Generation Gap episode #5, but it was the third episode we recorded.
-Since recording this episode Spoon has announced a new record. It's called Lucifer on the Sofa and it will be released in February 2022.
-The War on Drugs also released a new album and it's pretty solid.
