Ep. 119: An Easter Triple Homicide
Show Notes

Imagine it’s 1937 and you’re a famous pin-up model who has just been murdered… how does the world respond? Naturally the media latches onto the story like a starved leech jonsing for its next meal.

Veronica “Ronnie” Gedeon was well known for her career as a pin-up model where she often posed for crime magazines. When she was murdered, along with her mother, Mary, and a roommate, Frank Byrnes, the media took to calling her things like a “hard-drinking minx”. When police locked in on a prime suspect for these murders, the media harbored him until they could get a good story out of him before being released to authorities. The ‘30s were a wild time.

Tune in to find out what happened during this old-timey Easter triple homicide and try not to get your mind blown at how grotesque the media was.
