PD would love to hear from you

Death is one word that can hijack a whole week, but I’m not letting fear have the microphone. I start with the kind of “heaven talk” that builds courage, because the gospel doesn’t just promise comfort, it promises victory. With Ephesians 3:19 as the foundation, I point back to the real target of the Christian life: trusting the perfect love of Jesus and learning how to live from that love, not performing for it.

Then we go straight to what the finished work of the cross does to death. I walk through 1 Corinthians 15 and the truth that death loses its sting for believers, and I connect it to Jesus’ authority in Matthew 28 and the unbreakable security of Romans 8. If you’ve been anxious about what comes next, this will help you name that fear and replace it with resurrection hope, eternal life confidence, and the steady truth that nothing can separate us from the love of God.

From there, the message shifts into a heart check: Psalm 51:10. “Create in me a clean heart… renew a loyal spirit within me” becomes more than a memory verse, it becomes a mirror. I unpack loyalty as a deep connection, expose how divided loyalty creates instability (James 1:8), and tie it to the real warnings of 2 Timothy 3 about the days we’re living in right now. Press play, share this with someone who needs strength, and if it helped you, subscribe and leave a review. What’s one area where you’re choosing loyalty to God this week?

Welcome Prayer And Perfect Love

Thank you for joining me this week on Solid As They Come Podcast, where we journey into the presence of God, break strongholds, and discover and experience the love of Yahweh. Ephesians 3.19 in the New Living Translation says, may you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to fully understand. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. The goal is not to be perfect, but to trust in, to believe in the perfect love of Jesus, the realest love you will ever experience. Spirit of the living God fall afresh on us. Let's put in some work. Let's put it in. Thank God for another opportunity to be a voice for the kingdom. Pray that your week been blessed. I pray that grace would abound on you, and the love of Jesus you will experience. I pray comfort for those who are in the need of comfort. Let not your heart be troubled. Trust in God. John 14, 1. Can I ask that we continue to pray for one another and lift each other up? You never know who's going through hard times. It's always good to know that somebody real and solid got your back. Last week we were talking that heaven talk. Some people scared to talk that heaven talk because they feel like they gotta connect it with death. But if you go back to last week, I only mentioned death one time. And I gave it no power because death has no power. We talking that heaven talk because that's where we're going. And if you're scared to talk heaven talk, then maybe you're not going. Let me say that again in a different way. If you're a child of God, death has no power. Every now and again, I like to preach about heaven. Why PD? Because it's the best part of being a Christian, the expectation of being in the presence of Yahweh forever. Remember this the finished work of the cross is not finished until we are in the presence of God forever. And I love to preach it, YPD, because to me, that's the best motivation that could be preached. Watch this. Knowing that what you've been having faith in, what you've been believing in, is now in front of you. Watch this. Don't get scared about what I'm about to say next, because I'm about to mention the word death. Let me show you what the finished work of the cross did to death. The finished work of the cross took the sting out of death for a Christian. Now, death is going to be what produces the proof that what you had faith in exists. Oh my god, did you hear what the Spirit just gave me? Preach PD. God turned death for a Christian into a free Uber ride into his presence. Y'all know I ain't gonna leave y'all hanging. Let's put some Bible on this. 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verses 55 through 57. And in the word of God, it says this, O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? For sin is the sting that results in death. And the law gives power to sin. But thank God, He gives us victory over sin and death. Oh my God, did you hear what the word of God just said? But thank God that He gives us watch this victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. When you are a believer of the finished work of the cross, death is not the end, but a transition to eternal life when Jesus is your Lord. In Matthew chapter 28, verses 18 through 20 is something we like to call the Great Commission. Watch what it says. Verse 18 says, Jesus came and told his disciples, I have been given all authority in heaven. Oh my God, priest P. D. I have been given all authority in where in heaven. Come on, somebody, church, where the heaven talk at. I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure this, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. In other words, Jesus is saying, I'll be with you even in death. And I believe that that's a promise that he's gonna keep. I'm like Paul in Romans chapter 8, verse 38. Paul said, I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death, oh my God, priest P. D. Neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, nor our fears for today or our worries about tomorrow. Not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below. Indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in our Lord Christ Jesus. Romans 8, 38 and 39. I like to call it heaven talk. One of the greatest benefits of the finished work of the cross is allowing us to be in the presence of God forever. And I believe it ought to be talked about every now and again. And you might as well get primed up anyway, because next week, all across the world, probably half the pulpits in America and in other places, we'll be talking about death. We'll be talking about the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. All glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who was ready to face his death. My job as the man of God is to make sure that we're ready when it's time for us to face our death and to be prepared to be with Jesus forever. I praise Yahweh for what Jesus did for us. And every now and again, I just like to encourage people to don't forget that a part of your identity in Christ is to continuously prepare yourself to be where Jesus is. Saint John chapter 14, verse 3. Jesus said, When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. God bless you. I pray that the word that God has put in my spirit will be a blessing to you. Lord, make me a house of prayer. May the fire on my altar never burn out. Psalms 51 and 10. I hear David say, Create in me a clean heart, oh God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Preach PD. Did you hear what the word of God just said? Create in me a clean heart, oh God. I feel like preaching this morning. David said, Create in me. In other words, he was saying, make something new in me, God. Bring something to existence in me, oh God. Something that wasn't there before. God, give me something that I need to be who you called me to be. Created me a clean heart. And then the word create has another definition that I love. Check this out. It also means to cause or to give rise to a situation. Oh my God, did you hear what I just said? So, in other words, David said, created me or cause a situation in my heart, God, to change. Cause a situation in my heart to make me better. Cause a situation in my heart to make me be the man that I know I can be. Cause or make a situation in my life where I can be delivered from what's holding me back. When God creates in you a clean heart, He's creating new possibilities. When God creates in you a clean heart, He's creating new opportunities. When God creates in you a clean heart, don't miss this. You're operating off, you're operating off shaky trust. Say it, God, create in me a clean heart. Psalms 51 and 10. Let's park right here for a minute. Psalms 51 and 10 says, Create in me a clean heart, oh God. And then it says, Renew a loyal spirit within me. Oh my God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. I'm like David in a text. Lord, give me a two for one. Not only do I need you to create a clean heart within me, but I also need you to renew a loyal spirit within me to go with my clean heart because a loyal spirit produces a person that's faithful. It produces a person that's supportive. It produces a person that's steadfast, a clean heart, and a loyal spirit produces a person that we all need in our life. Is it just me? Or does loyalty seem to be coming extinct? I know why David said it, because you can't keep a clean heart without it. Let me give a little insight on King David, the writer of Psalms 51. He was going through some hard times when he wrote this. He had just let God and a lot of people down. He had just committed adultery with Bathsheba and arranged for her husband Uriah to be killed to cover up the affair. And the fact that he had got another man's wife pregnant. You talking about depression? Can you imagine how depressed he was carrying the weight of this secret in his heart? Uriah wasn't just some random person. He was his friend. They fought together, they broke bread together, they prayed together, they served God together. So when you read Psalms 51 again, it should hit different. Now that you know the background of why David wrote it, you should be able to see clearly now why David asked God to create in him a clean heart and renew a loyal spirit within him. Don't miss this. Where there's no loyalty, it's eventually gonna cause collateral damage. Preach PD, did you hear what I just said? That's straight from the spirit. Where there's no loyalty, it's eventually gonna cause collateral damage. It's gonna cause some injury, it's gonna cause some conflict, just like in the text. What David did caused a lot of damage, it caused a lot of injury, it caused a lot of conflict. Can you imagine what was going on? David gave in to lust, therefore breaking his connection of loyalty with Uriah, and also breaking his connection of loyalty with God, because loyalty is deeper than just some feelings. Loyalty is an inner connection, it's a connection. And can I show you what happens when that connection is disrupted? When that connection is broken, turn to James chapter 1, verse 8 in the NLT, and it says this their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. Let me put some Holy Ghost seasoning on this good word that we just read and serve you a full course meal. Did you hear what the word of God just said? Their loyalty is divided between God and the world. And watch this. And they are unstable. Divided loyalty creates an unstable atmosphere. It creates an unstable foundation, therefore leading to unstable lives, unstable relationships, unstable marriages, unstable churches, unstable ministries, unstable everything. Don't let that go over your head. That word right there just sets somebody free because you know you've been walking in divided loyalty. You know your life has been unstable. Your spiritual equilibrium is unstable. Your spiritual equilibrium is off balance. Don't miss this. When something's equilibrium is off, that means that the object will not change its state of motion. Oh my god, preach PD, that means that you won't change your state of motion. Whatever way you're going, that's the way you're gonna keep going. So that means if you're living an unstable life, if you're living a divided life, that means you're going backwards. Go back to the text, Psalms 51 and 10. That's what happened to King David. King David started acting like a horny little next-door neighbor, trying to get somebody else's wife instead of being the king of Israel. His spiritual equilibrium got knocked off balance, and he started being loyal to his flesh. And y'all, that's when we sin the most, when we start being loyal to our flesh instead of being loyal to the spirit, because the spirit will always lead us to life, and your flesh will always lead you somewhere where you wish you never went. When King David had got his balance back, when his spirit had got back strong, he wished he had never done it, but it was too late. Just like some of us, we're doing stuff in our life that we wish we never done, and it's too late. But God sent me by this morning to say, get up, don't stay down, stop crying, don't give in to it, don't keep on sinning. Turn from it and turn to him. Do like David did in Psalms 51 and 10. Come to grips with yourself and say, Lord, create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a loyal spirit within me. I know this word for somebody because God got me freestyling. Don't miss this. This is a sign of divided loyalty. You giving God the credit in public, but in your heart, you got your trust and you got your faith in another way of getting it done. Oh, preach PD, you're giving God the credit in public. But deep down inside, you are looking for another way to get it done. Y'all know I don't use sugar in my preaching. God wants to deal with this atmosphere of unstable Christianity, this spiritual atmosphere of divided loyalty. Let me drop something heavy in your spirit. God sent me by with a word this morning. He wants us to be hungry, to be loyal to what will develop us, to what will heal us, what will strengthen us, and what will give us confidence, what will provide us with our God-given identity. That's what God wants us to be loyal to. Loyalty is a connection. Loyalty, watch this, provides. Oh my god, preach BD. Did you hear what I just said? Loyalty provides. You can see loyalty, you can experience loyalty in the spirit and in the physical. When you connect it to true loyalty, to real loyalty, loyalty don't show up empty-handed. Loyalty provides, loyalty gives. Let me drop something heavy in your spirit. You can put real life on loyalty, and loyalty will carry it for you. Oh my god, Priest PD. Let me say it again. You can put real life on loyalty, you can put your hurts on loyalty, you can put your pain on loyalty, you can put your confusion on loyalty, you can share your insecurities with loyalty and don't have to worry about it. Why? Because loyalty can carry real life when you're connected to a loyal person. That's a true blessing. Why, PD? Because that person is equipped to walk with you when life is good or when all hell is breaking loose. And that's why God demands it. Because that's what He gives. And loyalty, real loyalty, is never a one-way street. Loyalty should always be a two-way connection. Because if it's not a two-way connection and only a one-way connection, then maybe, just maybe, the other end is not loyal to you, but they're loyal to their need of you. Remember, loyalty provides. Loyalty will provide for the connection. If I'm connected to loyalty, I'm gonna give and I'm gonna receive. If you're connected to loyalty, you should be giving and receiving. Loyalty produces a well-balanced relationship. There's nothing unstable in the connection. God has me preaching on loyalty today to tie back into our main scripture of the sermon series Perfect Love, Real Warnings. And that's coming out of 2 Timothy chapter 3, verses 1 through 5 in the NLT. If you got your Bible, meet me there. 2 Timothy chapter 3, verses 1 through 5 in the NLT. Join in with me as we read this bread of life. And in the word of God, it says, You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving. They will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that. Y'all see how that ties in? We are talking about loyalty today. Y'all, we are in them days right now when people are acting like that right now. God is looking for his people to be loyal to his word, to be loyal to his spirit, to be loyal to what Jesus did on the cross for us. God is looking for us to be loyal to one another, to stand up in the midst of wickedness and be a light that shines in the darkness. You know what else I get out of this text? This is what I get out of this text. That there will come a day when all hell will break loose in your life. And you better have some people that's loyal to you around you, or you're not gonna make it. Go back to the text. Look what it says. Verse 3 says, They will be unloving and unforgiving. They will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. Watch this. They will betray their friends. We just seen where King David fell victim to this. He fell victim to his flesh. And he took another man's wife, got her pregnant, and then set up for that man to get killed. And if you want to read it for yourself, go to 2 Samuel chapter 11. King David stopped being loyal to God and he gave in to lust. That's a word for somebody. Be careful. And then it goes on to say in verse uh 2 Timothy 3 in verse 4 that they will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride and love pleasure rather than God. Come on, somebody. King gave it all over again. The pleasure that Sheba gave him. Come on, somebody. They will act religious, but will reject the power that could make them godly. They give God the credit in public. But in their spirit, they know they are not with God. And as I make my exit, I believe that the word that God has given us this morning is for us to check and see where our loyalty is. Is it in Him or is it in money, houses, clothes, men, women, the things of this world? Where is your loyalty? Where loyalty is not at, there will most likely be a breakdown. But where loyalty is, loyalty creates a stable atmosphere. Man. A marriage with loyalty in it, it'll last. A community with loyalty in it, it'll last. A church with loyalty in it, it will last. A friendship with loyalty in it, it will last. A relationship with loyalty in it will last. And that's why we should be loyal to God like He is to us. God bless you. I pray that the word was a blessing to your spirit today. If you haven't did it yet and you need to, Psalms 51 and 10. Pray that prayer. Create in me a clean heart of God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. We're gonna win together. Until next week, family and friends. Keep it solid.
