PD would love to hear from you
Resurrection Day isn’t just something we celebrate, it’s something we’re meant to live. If you’ve been carrying dead joy, dead peace, dead love, or a dead sense of direction, we’re praying this message wakes it up. I talk straight about the question that exposes everything: can you trust God when it doesn’t look good, when the news is bad, and when you feel like you’re down to your last?
I share my own story of fear, instability, a criminal record, addiction, and the painful truth that even when you’re ready to leave the old life, the old life might not be ready to leave you. We go to Romans 6 and Romans 7 to name the real fight, the enemy within, and we get practical about how freedom starts when you stop agreeing with wicked thoughts and start putting prayer and God’s Word on them. The goal isn’t perfection. The goal is trust in the perfect love of Jesus.
From Luke 24, the empty tomb becomes a direct challenge: “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive?” We connect the resurrection to grace, atonement, justification, and eternal life, then go deeper into Hebrews 10 on why the blood of Jesus matters and how it gives you personal access to God without a middleman. We close with Romans 8:11 and a call to active participation because God will do it, but we must respond.
Subscribe, share this with someone who needs new life, and leave a review that tells me where you’re trusting God for resurrection right now.
I never wanna stray, and do I wanna stay? Now nobody's praying.

SPEAKER_02Thank you for joining me this week on Solid As They Come Podcast, where we journey into the presence of God, break strongholds, and discover and experience the love of Yahweh. Ephesians 3.19 in the New Living Translation says, May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to fully understand. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. The goal is not to be perfect, but to trust in, to believe in the perfect love of Jesus, the realest love you will ever experience. Spirit of the living God fall afresh on us. Let's put in some work. Let's put it in. Praise God. Resurrection day. I pray that something will be said to resurrect anything that the enemy has killed in your life. Some people are walking around with dead spirits. They are walking around with dead love, dead joy, dead peace, dead understanding. But I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus that not only will we preach about Jesus being resurrected today, but that you will experience resurrection in your life? Can you trust God when it don't look good? Can you trust God when it seems like all hope is gone? Can you trust God when it's not sunny? Can you trust God when you're down to your last? Can you trust God when the news just got bad? Can you trust God? And trust me, I know how I feel. It could get a little scary, it could get a little rocky, but I've been there, and that's when I learned that he's Jehovah Jireh. And in the Hebrew, Jehovah Jireh means my provider. Back then I didn't know him that well, but I got past my fear and I said I'ma trust him. I'm gonna see what my mama was talking about. I'ma see what Pastor Boyd was preaching about. I'ma see if all that stuff I had learned in Zion Unity was real. I set my fear to the side and I trust him because I didn't have two nickels to rub together. Had a criminal record, couldn't really get no job. I was living with my baby mama, never knew when she was gonna put me out. I had two kids to help raise, and I couldn't provide. Come on, somebody, fresh off a drug addiction. Just woke up from a coma after three days. Oh, good God almighty. I was still dealing with the residue of my past life, still dealing with the hurt of my past life, still dealing with some pains from my past life, still dealing with some letdowns from my past life and on my journey to learning how to trust Yahweh. Watch this. I found out something real quick. Even though I was ready to give up my past life, watch this. My past life wasn't ready to give up me. Oh God, preach PD, did you hear what I just said? Even though I was ready to give up my past life, my past life didn't want to let go of me, but you got to kill it, you got to turn it to the preacher for a moment and preach Romans chapter 6, verse 4, NLT at the funeral of the old Jew. For we died and we were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead, oh my God, did you hear what the word of God just said? Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father. Oh my God, Priest P. D. Now we also may live new lives. It's at that moment when you get done preaching the eulogy for the old you that you got to make up your mind because new life, it don't just happen overnight, but by faith, your new life will start to take. Watch this shape. If you stay connected with the source of new life, he will resurrect you. Somebody say that. He will resurrect me day by day. Yahweh will help you build your new life. And I know that's a word for somebody. And God sent me by this morning to tell you, hold on. Because it's in situations like this that you'll understand who he is. It's in the low times, it's in those moments that you learn how to build faith, that you learn how to build trust. Watch this. How you know you have faith if you never have to use it. How you know you can trust God if you never get put in a situation to trust him? How you know that he's a deliverer if you never need to be delivered. It's in times like that that builds you and builds your relationship with Yahweh. Man, I feel like preaching this morning on Resurrection Sunday. Let me drop something heavy in your spirit. The giants in your way will fall. Watch this. When you, not if you, but when you know that Yahweh God is bigger than any of this life's giants. Can I preach this morning? Hear me when I say this. It's not the outside giant that gets us. Watch this. It's the inside problem. It's the inside giant that beats us up, that holds us down. Once David beat his inside giant, which was fear, he could be used by God. Watch this, to defeat the outside giant, Goliath, for everyone to see. Once you defeat the inside giant, watch this. God will help you beat the outside giant so everyone can see. We get true victory. We get true freedom when we kill. Watch this, the enemy within. I'm gonna say that one more time. And I'm gonna say it like somebody who didn't live this. Watch this. We get true freedom. We get true victory when we kill the enemy within. I got rid of fear and I learned to trust God. And God gave me the power, watch this, to kill that cocaine demon from my past that didn't want to let me go. God gave me the power to kill that lustful demon that had me late night creeping, sleeping around. God gave me the power to kill the demons and the giants in my life that kept trying to get me back to be the old me. You get true freedom when you kill the enemy within. Y'all know I ain't gonna leave you hanging. This is how you do it. You stop agreeing with him. Oh my god, Priest P. D. Let me say it again. You kill the enemy within by stop agreeing with it. When those wicked thoughts enter your mind, you got to put the word of God on those thoughts. You got to put prayer on those thoughts, you got to put God on those thoughts. Y'all know what time it is? It's time to put some Bible on this. Turn to Romans chapter 7 in the NLT. Man, we're gonna start at verse 21. Check this out. This is Paul talking, the apostle Paul. He said, I have discovered this principle of life that when I want to do what is right, I invertedly do what is wrong. I love God's law with all my heart. There is another power. Did you hear what he just said? But there is another power where within me that is at war with what? With my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death. 25. Thank God. Watch this, don't miss this. The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is? In my mind, I really want to obey God's law, but because of my sinful nature, I am still a slave to sin. Oh my God, what a word! Did you hear what the word of God just said? The word of God just told us if you want true victory, you must defeat the enemy within. Verse 23, Paul said, But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. And then he goes on to say that this power makes me a slave to sin that is still within me. Watch this. If you agree with it, but thank God for the word of God, for the power of God, for the spirit of God. Go down to verse 25. It says, Thank God. The answer is, oh my God, boy, I feel like preaching. Did you hear what the word of God just said? The answer is in Christ Jesus our Lord. What a mighty God we serve. The answer is in Christ Jesus our Lord. I'm gonna say it again. The answer is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Where have you been looking for your answers at? You can't be the giant like fear. You can't be the giant like addiction. You can't be the giant like unbelief with an outside source. The answer is Christ Jesus our Lord. In St. John chapter 14, verse 6 in the NLT, this is what Jesus told them. Jesus told them, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If Jesus is not a good enough answer for you, and you say you're rolling with Yahweh, you say you are Christian, you say you believe in God, you say you got faith, if Jesus is not a good enough answer for you, then maybe, just maybe, that's why things are not going your way. I've been rocking with Jesus for 23 years. I've been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ for 23 years. My first two years, they were rocky, still making up my mind. God was still shaping my life. I was still looking other places, still trying to get it right. But for the last 21 years, you know what? Jesus has been the answer to every situation, every problem, every sin, everything that I got myself in. Jesus has been the answer for me to get out. Y'all know I got to put some Bible on this. Turn to Hebrews chapter 4, verse 2. And in the NLT it says, For this good news that God has prepared this rest. Oh my God, Priest PD, what rest? The rest from worry, the rest from depression, the rest from anxiety, the rest from trying to be perfect. For the good news that God has prepared this rest has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them, man, come on, somebody, it did them no good because they didn't share the faith of those who listened to God. Did you hear what the word of God just said? It was preached to them, it was taught to them just like it was taught to us, but it did them no good. Watch this. Why? Because they didn't listen to God. You can't have faith in God and not listen to his word. You can't have faith in God and not believe in his word. If you want God results, watch this. You got to listen to God. Can I teach for a moment? Y'all know I got to put some Bible on this. Turn to Jeremiah chapter 3, verse 15. And this time join me in the King James Version. And in the King James Version it says, And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which will feed you with knowledge and understanding. Knowledge and understanding of what? Knowledge and understanding of the scriptures. Knowledge and understanding of his word. Knowledge and understanding of how the Spirit of God flows. Knowledge and understanding of how to be in a relationship with Yahweh. Yahweh said, I will give you pastors according to my heart. God will always have some real preachers and teachers that can be found. And I pray that when you tune in, that you can hear that I'm flowing from the heart of God. 23 years ago, my Lord and Savior resurrected me. I could have been gone sleeping in my grave, overdosed. But grace and mercy lifted me. The love of God lifted me. So on this resurrection Sunday, I pray that God continue to give us a word that will resurrect and bring new life to somebody that needs it. When putting faith in Jesus, when putting trust in Jesus, putting faith in God's word, doing what God's word says becomes a good enough answer. Watch problems start getting solved in your life. Join me today as we go to the book of Luke, chapter 24 in the NLT. The book of Luke, chapter 24 in the NLT. And in the word of God, it says this. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn't find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes. The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? Oh my God, did you hear what the word of God just said? Then the men asked, Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn't here. He has risen from the dead. Remember what he told you back in Galilee? That the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would raise again on the third day. The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is a picture of God's grace and love in motion. Resurrection Sunday gave and gives all who believe in Jesus victory over sin and death. Not just physical death, but that spiritual death, the type of death that will separate you from the love of God forever, from the presence of God forever. That's death. That action of sacrifice that happened nearly 2,000 years ago is still flowing, is still working in 2026. The reason why he did it hasn't changed. Watch this. Now it's up to us to understand what that means for us. Do you understand all of what Jesus did for you? Is the life and resurrection of Jesus provides us the atonement for our sins. Victory over death, it gives us justification, and justification is grace. And justification is you are righteous through faith in Jesus Christ. Justification. Just as you never done it, the blood of Jesus will cover you if you believe. And the promise of eternal life. Do you understand that? And watch this. What the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ did, it gave us an opportunity to be in a relationship with Yahweh. What Jesus did, do you really understand it? What Jesus did for us demonstrates and shows us a love with no limits. Oh my God, Priest P. D. It shows us a love with no limits. There's no restriction to God's love, no boundaries to God's love, no constraints on actions that this love gives. Do you understand that? It's your job to understand all that Jesus did and does for you. Let's put some Bible on this. 2 Corinthians 5, 21 in the NLT. You've got to understand this. For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be an offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. Did you hear what the word of God just said? We are made right with God through Christ. We are made right with God because of what Jesus did. We can't be made right with God through self-effort. Let me say this. If it's from you without being connected to Jesus, God doesn't accept it. God will not accept your good deeds if it doesn't have blood on it. Preach PD, I'm gonna say it again. God does not accept your good deeds if it doesn't have blood on it. The blood of Jesus, real love on it, real faith on it. Our good deeds, the nice stuff we do for people, places, and things doesn't make us right with God. You're not saved by works, you don't get on Yahweh's good side by works, you don't go to heaven from the work that you put in without being connected to Jesus. Do you understand that? God only accepts what we do through faith in Jesus. If the source, if the reason of what you do is not to glorify God, is for self-satisfaction. Let's put some Bible on that. Colossians chapter 3, verse 17 in the NLT. And in the word of God it says, and whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. Oh my god, did you hear what the word of God just said? And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. Do you understand that? Let me put some more Bible on it. What all Jesus did for us. Turn to Hebrews chapter 10, verses 19 through 22 in the NLT. And in the word of God it says, And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's most holy place because of the blood of Jesus. Remember, it got to have blood on it. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the most holy place. And since we have a great high priest who rules over God's house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts, fully trusting him. For our guilty conscience has been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Oh my God, did you hear what the word of God just said? You got to put some blood on it. When Jesus died, the Bible said the curtain in the sanctuary of the temple was torn in two. And if you want to put some Bible on that, go to Matthew chapter 27, verse 51 in the NLT. But the curtain or the veil served as a barrier, a separation between the holy place from the most holy place. It symbolized the separation between a holy God and a sinful humanity. The high priest went behind the veil on the Day of Atonement, Yon Kippoh, to offer blood sacrifice for his sins and the sins of the people. This would happen once a year. He didn't go behind the curtain without a sacrifice. Do you understand that? Go back to the text. What Jesus did for us in Hebrews 10, 19, and 22, the life, the death, the burial, the resurrection of Jesus Christ made it so we can go to God for ourselves. He made our relationship with Yahweh personal. He took the human middleman out the picture. And with faith, by his death, Jesus, the Bible says, open a new and life-giving way through the curtain, the separation into the most holy place, which is what the presence of God is. But the resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts, fully trusting in Him, Jesus. Do you understand that? In other words, no more need for a human middleman to go to God for us. We can go to God for ourselves. Do you understand that? When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, what He did on the cross works for you. The more that you get into God's word, you get blood on you. The more that you pray to God, you get blood on you. The more that you put trust in Jesus, you get blood on you. The more that you will witness for the gospel of Jesus Christ, you get blood on you. And when you go to God, God sees the blood on you, and He knows that you've been with His Son. He knows you're a living sacrifice. And that's when the Father will start to move on your behalf. Let me drop something heavy in your spirit. God will do it for you. He will. But active participation is required. Do you understand that? And this is how you participate. You got to respond to God. When it's time for you to trust God, you got to trust Him. When it's time for you to live by faith, you got to live by faith. When it's time for you to obey God's word, you need to obey it. When it's time for you to get up and repent of whatever wrong that you did, then you just need to do that. You need to own up to it and repent. Praise God for the ones who understand that. If I can, I want you to go back to the original text with me in Luke chapter 24. I just want to hit on one more thing before I get out of here. And in Luke chapter 24, it was this phrase that really touched my spirit. And it is in verse 5, where the angel said, Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn't here, he is risen from the dead. Watch this. Remember what he told you back in Galilee. This deals with the point I want to make before we go. The disciples and the women have been with Jesus for three years. They heard him preach and teach about many things. And one was how he came to die and to be crucified and then raised from the dead three days later. They heard it, but watch this. They didn't understand it. Because they still came looking for a dead Jesus at the tomb. That's why they brought spices. That's why they came to anoint a dead body. That's why they did it. Watch this, because they didn't understand. And that's why the angel said, Remember what he told you back in Galilee? Can I say this? Don't miss out on the full benefits, the full blessings, the full deliverance, the full healing, the full God life that God has for you because you don't understand all of what Jesus did for you. If you don't understand something, watch this. You can't receive everything it has to offer. We don't have time to be looking among the dead for something or someone who is living. Who am I preaching to? Yahweh sent me by to see if you're still looking for the answers you need in dead places. Oh my god, Priest PD, did you hear what I just said? Are you still looking for answers that you need in dead places? Among the dead, you cannot expect, watch this, to find joy in misery. You can't expect to find truth in lies. You can't expect to find life in death. You can't expect to find real love in a cold heart. You can't get living attributes from a dead place. Y'all know we got to put some Bible on it before we get out of here. I'm gonna end it with this Romans chapter 8, verse 11 in the NLT. And in the word of God, it says this the Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. Do you understand that? And just as God raised Christ from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living in you. Do you understand that? This word is for all, but especially for the people who need to get up and live for God. You've been laying watch this among the dead too long. God said it's time to be resurrected. Happy Resurrection Day. I pray that the word of God was a blessing. Until next week, friends and family, remember, keep it solid.
SPEAKER_01Well my trouble sounds. And I didn't have to despair. Oh, you told me. Would you be right there? Is she making my problem? How do you speak? I didn't have to win the more.
