PD would love to hear from you

Regret has a way of turning yesterday into a prison, but we refuse to let old choices keep calling the shots. We open with Ephesians 3:19 and anchor everything in the perfect love of Jesus, because the goal is not perfection, it’s trust. From there we get painfully honest about how life is “a vapor” and why wasting time on wishful thinking keeps us stuck and spiritually tired.

We unpack 2 Corinthians 5:17 like a blueprint for real change, including the overlooked force of one small word: behold. For us, behold means taking our attention off what already passed away and putting it on the new decisions God is offering right now. We also talk about what it means to stick with Yahweh long enough to see the “finished you,” pulling from Philippians 1:6 and moving into practical spiritual habits: prayer, Bible study, gratitude first thing, and letting God’s word be the first voice in your heart.

Then we name the daily fight. John 10:10 isn’t weekend warfare, it’s everyday pressure, which is why we need encouragement, community, and sharpening (Proverbs 27:17, Hebrews 10:25). The hope is resurrection power that does not quit: Romans 8:11 promises the same Spirit who raised Jesus lives in us, giving life back to what the enemy tried to kill. Thank you for joining me this week on Solid As They Come Podcast, where we journey into the presence of God, break strongholds, and discover and experience the love of Yahweh. Ephesians 3:19 in the New Living Translation says, May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to fully understand. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. The goal is not to be perfect, but to trust in, to believe in the perfect love of Jesus, the realest love you will ever experience. Spirit of the living God fall afresh on us. Let's put in some work. Let's put it in. Real talk with a real purpose for real people. Lord bless us with a word of life that will bless us in this life and help prepare us for our real life. When you believe in the finished work of the cross, when you believe in the resurrection of Jesus, you are qualified to live real life after this life. In the word of God, in the book of James, chapter 4, verse 14, in the NLT, it says, How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog. It's here a little while, then it's gone. In the King James, it says, Life is like a vapor. In other words, this life that we live in this flesh on this earth, it isn't that long and it's unpredictable. That's why I always encourage people to live life while you're living it. To live life and not regret. That's why you got to stop looking amongst the dead for something living. God put that same word back in my spirit this week. It's time for somebody to get up. It's time for you to get resurrected. It's time for you to stop living in regret. Watch this. Regret will have you thinking that your life is more complex than it is. I understand you got some painful emotions that you're dealing with. I had them too. I understand that you're dealing with some sorrow. I did too. I understand that you got some disappointment in your life. 50 of us did too. I understand that you made some bad decisions in your life. Half of the planet did too. Can I preach this morning? I don't know who this for, but you got to stop wishing on a star. You can't undo your past. You wasted too much time wishing you would have made better decisions. You wasting too much time wishing you would have gone the other way. You wasting too much time wishing you would have never got with him or her. Can I drop something heavy in your spirit? Regret is the enemy of progress. As long as you're living in regret, you can't move forward. Yahweh sent me by this morning to help you crucify that regret. It's time to redeem yourself from your mistakes and turn to a new beginning. I hear 2 Corinthians 5 17 in my spirit, New King James Version. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is or they are a new creation. All things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Preach PD, can I teach this morning? Let me bounce that word behold out for you. Because I think some people be missing that when they read it in the scripture. That word behold in the Greek I do or ID means, watch this, to see, to look, to call attention to an important fact. Or uh, watch this new scene. In the text it says, old things have passed away. Behold. Here it is. When you behold, you withdraw your attention, you take your attention off the old things because they passed away. And this is how you become a new creation. You behold. You start to put all your attention on the new choices, on the new decisions, on the new commitments, on the new opportunities that God will give you. That word behold in the text, a small word with a big impact. You withdraw all your attention from the old things, and you place all your attention on the new things. You become a new creation. You stop living by regret. You stop tripping on the bad choices that you made, and you start living in the newness of life that comes by being in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5 17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Let me put this in the atmosphere. You've got to stick with God. You've got to stick with Yahweh long enough to see the finish you. Oh my God, preach PD. You got to stick with Yahweh long enough to see the finish you. You can't keep giving up in the middle of the process. Philippians chapter 1, verse 6 in the NLT says this. And I am certain that God, who begun the good work in you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Did you hear what the word of God just said? Paul said, I am certain that God, who begun the good work within you, has God, is there any good work begun in you? If it is, you got to stick around long enough to see the finish you. Watch this. And if God started it, he will continue his work until it, watch this, is finally finished. On the day when Christ Jesus returns, all things have passed away. Watch this. Behold, all things have become new. Here go a word for somebody. You can't come to God with a I'm just passing through attitude. Real relationships aren't built off a motive like that. It's gonna take some trust, some faith, some sacrifice, and some patience for you to see the finish you in Christ. So whoever that word is for, stick around long enough to see the finished work that God will do with your life. In the word of God, it says, if God has begun the work, you better believe that he'll finish it. But once again, it requires your participation. Let me say this participating in a relationship with God has to involve something. Watch this, it has to involve some intimacy, there has to be daily prayer, there has to be Bible study, and there has to be some developing of spiritual habits. Spiritual habits. When you first wake up in the morning, before you do anything, give thanks to the source of life. Spiritual habits, after you give thanks to the source of life, before your day gets started, let God's word be the first voice that you let into your heart. Let God's word speak to your heart before the issues of life start speaking. Spiritual habits, always be willing to be a witness for the kingdom of God. Spiritual habits, y'all know what time it is. It's time to put some Bible on this. Turn to Colossians chapter 3, verses 1 through 3 in the NLT. And it says, Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God's right hand. Think about the things of heaven. Oh my God, here go to heaven talk. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your watch this real life is hidden with Christ in God. Did you hear what the word of God just said? Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, developing spiritual habits. Come on, somebody, back that word up. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth, developing spiritual habits. For you died to this life, and your real life. Oh my god, Priest PD, did you hear what the word of God just said? Your real life is hidden with Christ in God. Watch this. The word of God says that our real life is hidden with Christ in God. But one day, your real life won't be hidden anymore. It will be, watch this, time to live it. Here go a question. When it's time to live it, will you be ready to live it? Last week we talked about the resurrection of Jesus. But not just Jesus. We talked about us getting resurrected. Because we have to be careful, because every opportunity that the devil gets on a daily, he will try to kill something in you. Oh my God, Priest PD, did you hear what the Spirit just gave me? Every day the enemy gets a chance. He will kill something in you if you don't have the armor of God on. We know what John 10 10 says. Do you know what it says? It says the thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. But after close and careful observation, you know what I found out? I found out that this is an everyday purpose for the thief. The devil's purpose ain't every other week. The devil's purpose is not once a month. The devil's purpose is not just on the weekends. The devil's purpose is every day. Every day he wants to kill, steal, and destroy something. That's why every day we need to start our day off with our spiritual habits. That's why every day we need to pray. That's why every day we need to read God's word. That's why every day we need to build our trust. That's why every day we need to build our faith. That's why every day we need to be around believers that believe like we believe. And you can believe this. I'm about to put some Bible on this. Proverbs 27 and 17 in the NLT says, as iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. You dropping my spirit what God has been giving you, and I'll dropping your spirit what God been giving me. And together we're gonna sharpen each other. Let me put some more Bible on this. Hebrews 10 25 in the NLT. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another. Did you hear what the word of God just said? But encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Who returned? Jesus. We preach the resurrection of Jesus once a year. But for us, we have to preach the resurrection of us every day. Because every day, some of us become victim to the devil, victim to the thief. And if we're not careful, he will kill, steal, and destroy something in us every day. If y'all don't mind, let's keep it a hundred. Somebody fell victim to him last week. He stole your joy. He stole your peace. And that brought chaos to your life. And that shifted your focus from God. And now you ain't read your word, you ain't prayed to God for a whole week. And now your spiritual battery drained and you feel abandoned and defeated. But in Jesus' name, be resurrected. One of the first things Jesus did after God raised him from the dead was prove himself. Come on, somebody. In Acts chapter 1, verse 3, the apostle Paul said this during the 40 days after Jesus suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles time to time. Watch this, actually alive. And he talked to them about the kingdom of God. He didn't talk to them about gossip. He didn't talk to them about how he was mad, that the Jewish leaders put him to death. He didn't talk to them about that. He talked to them about the kingdom of God. Death couldn't stop Jesus from preaching that heaven talk. The first thing he showed the devil and his haters is that all things are possible to those who believe in God's way. This is a word for somebody. Get up, do like Jesus did. Show them your faith got power. Show them your trust got power. Show them your obedience to God got power. Man, I feel like preaching when you've been lifted by resurrection power. JLJ, just like Jesus. You can go down wounded. But when God raises you, it's gonna come with healing. Can somebody say new life? When you've been lifted by resurrection power, you can go down in disappointment. But JLJ, when God raises you, it comes with new satisfaction, it comes with new fulfillment, it comes with new joy. Can somebody say new life? Because when you've been resurrected, what got you there don't matter no more. All that matters is that God lifted you. All that matters is that you've experienced the love of God. All that matters is now you got to fulfill your God-given purpose. Whenever God resurrects something, it has God-given purpose attached to it. The resurrection of Jesus had purpose attached to it, and that purpose was to reconcile us, get us back in a right relationship with God the Father. And I believe that our resurrections are to do the same thing, but just on a smaller level. I believe we get resurrected so we can go get our brother, so we can go get our sister, so we can go get our cousin, so we can go get the boys from the hood, so we can go get the girls from the hood, so we can get Lil Ray Ray, so we can get all the gangsters, so we can get all the prostitutes, so we can get all the drug dealers. I believe that our resurrection is to show the glory of God here on earth and what it looks like. When it's the love of God that lifts you, when it's that love that loves in spite of, you better watch out because that's when drug dealers get resurrected, that's when thieves get resurrected, that's when atheists get resurrected, that's when drunkards get resurrected, that's when church members get resurrected. You can go down one way, but when you've been lifted with resurrection power, you get up God's way. Can I get an amen from somebody? We're talking about that resurrection power. We was talking about living in regret. We talking about falling down and staying down. Watch this. The thief, the enemy, can't kill your peace. He can't kill your joy, he can't kill your love, he can't kill that of a person with the spirit of resurrection living in them and it stayed dead. Oh my God, Priest P. D, did you hear what I just said? The thief, the enemy, can't steal the peace. He can't steal the joy, he can't steal the love of a person with the spirit of resurrection living in them and it stayed dead. Because every time he tried, the spirit of resurrection will give you the power to lift it back up. He can only kill it for a moment. Then it's gonna get back up. It's been a minute. Y'all know what time it is? Let's put some Bible on this. Romans chapter 8, verse 11 in the NLT says this the Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same spirit living within you. That same spirit that raised Christ from the dead will be activated in you. When you place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior, when you operate through repentance, when you operate through faith, when you operate through trusting in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, that same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will live in you. Let's read that one more time before we get up out of here. Romans chapter 8, verse 11 in the NLT. The Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. Do you believe it? Do you understand that? And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, do you believe it? Do you understand that? He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same spirit living within you. Do you believe it? Do you understand that? Praise God for the ones who believe it and for the ones who understand it. Spirit of the living God fall afresh on us. Don't forget, develop your spiritual habits every day before you get out to bed. Give God the glory. Give God the praise. Before you let the things of this world into your heart and into your spirit, put the word of God into your heart and into your spirit. And remember, stick with Yahweh long enough to see the finished work he will do with your life. Come on, somebody. I pray the word of God was a blessing to you. This is the message Yahweh sent me with today. God bless you. Until next week, friends and family. Remember, keep it solid.

I came to praise you with a smile. Smile would come. I try to sing a joyful noise, but my voice was overcome. The words I used to offer felt like strangers on my tongue. For the hallelujah was the only one. I wanted to be honest, but honesty fell out to learn the praise can fall apart, still be holy ground. I used to think praise needed a certain kind of strength A victory declared before the battle turned at length But now I know that offering is simply showing up with all my questions and my grief and filling up the cup So I'll stop trying to manufacture What I think I'm supposed to feel For you already know my heart And what I bring is real This is tears of a broken heart Hallelujah A praise I didn't plan Lord I'm bringing what I have Not what I understand If all I have is weeping And let a weeping be my song Tears of a broken hallelujah Is where I belong Some say praises for the mountaintop But I found you in the valley low Where the only sound I have to give is a whisper through the sorrow So I let the tears fall freely I let my heart break through For what I thought disqualified me's the offering I give to you This is tears of a broken hallelujah praise I didn't plan Lord I'm bringing what I have not what I understand If all I have is a weeping Then let a weeping be my song Tears of a broken hallelujah where I belong
