The Power Of God’s Love

If you’ve been stuck thinking God’s love is something you have to earn, this message is going to challenge that lie fast. Then we get practical about spiritual growth and emotional health: love creates trust, and trust makes you comfortable enough to confide. We connect 1 Peter 5:6-7 with the invitation to give God every worry and care, and Ephesians 4:15 with the call to speak truth in love, because truth and love are meant to work together. We also talk about the “second chance” many of us are living, how God’s love breaks the rules of human expectation, and why that mercy is not permission to stay the same.

Ephesians 3.19 in the New Living Translation says, May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to fully understand. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Peace With God Through Faith

Agape Love That Won’t Reject You

you hear me? I said He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love, not our love, not human love, but agape love that love that loves in spite of God. It's a love so strong that it won't turn you away. It's a love so strong that you don't gotta try to clean yourself up before you come. Man, I've been doing this podcast now for four years, and not one week has gone by that I haven't told you how much God loves you. Every week I always mention how much God loves you. Last week we talked about what type of heart do you have for God? Let me drop something heavy in your spirit. If the love of God is not in it, it's a watered-down gospel. If the love of God is not in it, it's a watered-down relationship. If the love of God is not in it, it's not of God, God's love is not weak, God's love cannot be taken advantage of when you're truly infected. When you truly understand the love of God, it compels you to want to know Him more. Can I get a witness that good love will cause your eyes to open and to see maybe what you didn't see before? That good love will open up your heart to lead you from sin, not to get comfortable in sin. Good love, good God's love will carry you when you start to get weary, and it will cover you when all hell starts breaking loose. Real love, good love, God love, watch this, will stop you, and it will keep you from going in reverse, making the same mistake over and over again.

New Life That Stops The Cycle

Second Corinthians 5 17. This means that anyone who belongs to Christ, anyone who belongs to this real love, anyone who has this real love has become a new person, the old life is gone. I can't keep making the same mistakes, I can't keep going back to the lie, I can't keep believing in the lie. The old life is gone, and a new life has begun. Whatever the power of God's love is, there's gonna be some peace. Whatever the power of God's love is, it's gonna produce some joy. Whatever the power of God's love is, you're gonna see some lives being changed. Come on, somebody. Whatever the power of God's love is, you're gonna see some minds being reshaped. It's gonna be some hearts being healed when the power of God's love is in the atmosphere. Like you know, PD, I'm a poster child for life in Christ. I've experienced the love of God, I've experienced the grace of God, I've experienced the mercy of God, I've experienced the deliverance of God's love. There's nothing weak about it, there's nothing phony about it. Once you've experienced the love of God, you can't live without it. My spirit happy. Every time I think about how the love of God lifted me, my soul starts crying out. Hallelujah. I can still hear my mother say he might not come when you want him, but he's always on time. That real love, that good love, that God love will show up when life gets to life and when what you had control of starts to control you, when sin isn't fun anymore, and it starts to hurt too much, when every dream you had has turned into a nightmare, when it's too much going on in your life that you're ready to throw in the town, when you've been let down so much that you start believing the lie and give up on yourself. But in the name of Jesus, we cast down all those thoughts, and I speak life over you this morning and I pray that you will experience the love of God because when that God love is in the atmosphere, it'll have you seen clearly. See, you can see what your life needs and who your life needs, when your atmosphere is saturated with God's love, when your atmosphere is saturated with God's love, you can see who your friends and who your enemies are. When your atmosphere is saturated with God's love, you can see family and you can see spectators. When your atmosphere is saturated with God's love, you can see who's with you and who's against you. When your atmosphere is saturated with God's love, you can see that you need God. This was gonna be my intro, but I'm about 12 minutes in now, so I might as well roll with it. Love Creates Trust To Confide

God. When the love of God is embraced, it opens up new possibilities. When the love of God is embraced, it makes you see clearly, and when the love of God is embraced, the love of God, watch this, will bring the truth out. The love of God will reveal the truth to your spirit and lead you in the right direction. Somebody said, PD, how can it do that? When it's real love, when it's God love, it produces, watch this, trust. Oh my God, preach PD. When it's real love, when it's God love, it produces trust. And if you trust something, or if you trust someone, you feel what? You feel comfortable confiding in them. Oh my god, did you hear what I just said? When you trust something, or you trust someone, you feel comfortable confiding in them. Okay, let's put some Bible on it. We can put some Bible on it in a minute. Turn to first Peter 5, 6 and 7 in the NLT. And it says this so humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, under the mighty power of God. What power? The power of God's love. Humble yourself, and at the right time, he will lift you up in honor. Oh my God. Verse 7 says, Give all your worries and cares to God. Come on, somebody, you feel comfortable confiding in God? Do you feel comfortable telling God your business? Give all your worries and cares to God. Watch this. For he cares about you. The love of God will bring the truth out because the love of God produces trust. And when you trust someone, you confide in them. It has to be some trust there for you to tell somebody your worries. Am I right? It has to be some trust there if you feel comfortable revealing your cares to somebody. Am I right? The power of the love of God will create an atmosphere that produces trust. And that trust will make you comfortable enough to bring your worries and your cares. Come on, somebody. Let's put some more Bible on this.

Speaking Truth In Love

Ephesians chapter 4, verse 15. And it starts off with instead. Oh my God. Instead of what? Instead of condemning somebody, instead of gossiping, instead of being an atmosphere that nobody can trust you. Oh my God. Instead, we will speak the what? The truth in love, growing in every way, more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. And if you grow more and more like Christ, that means you're operating in the power of God's love. Watch this. Ephesians 4 15 says, Instead, we speak the truth in love. When love is present, trust is present, and when it's an atmosphere of trust present, you can get the truth from the source that's displaying the love. The idea that God's love will bring the truth out, suggest that divine love is the foundation and the catalyst. Watch this for revealing the truth. And if the truth is revealed, then that should lead to some freedom and some growth. Watch this. The Bible teaches that truth and love are inseparable. Did you hear what the spirit just gave me? The Bible teaches that the truth and love are inseparable. And when people experience God's love, it empowers them to embrace and speak the truth in a way that builds up faith, in a way that builds up hope, in a way that builds up real love rather than condemn somebody, rather than speak condemnation to somebody, rather than kill somebody's spirit. Ephesians 4 15. Instead, we speak the truth in love.

When God’s Love Breaks The Rules

I thank God for his love because the love of God breaks the rules. The love of God is not subject to human opinion, it is not subject to the ways of this world or religious people and their rules. The love of God breaks the rules. The love of God makes the rules. And I'm glad about it. That's how I got saved. That's how I got sanctified. That's how I got full of the Holy Ghost. That's how I walk in the truth. Because of God's love broke all the rules in my life. That's how I got a second chance. The love of God broke the rules this world put on me. And it also broke the rules that I put on myself. All of them hood rules I used to live by. The love of God broke them off my life. When you chew up a whole lot of cocaine and still live, that's God's love. Breaking the rules when you sleep around and don't get diseases. That's God's love breaking the rules. When you don't trust in God, but he still gives you grace. That's God's love. Breaking the rules. The love of God has broke the rules for a lot of us. Because some of us should have been dead. Some of us should have had AIDS, should have had siblings. But God's love broke the rules. The power of God's love. Let no harm come to us. You know why? Because God has a purpose on our life. And He didn't show us this love so that we can continue in sin. He showed us this love so we can live our second chance. When God's love breaks the rules of this world, it's called a miracle. God doesn't have to break his word to break the rules of this world. Good love, God love goes deeper than just stopping negative behavior. It reshapes our entire life. When the love of God is received by faith and trust, it compels you to want to know Him more. God's love breaks the rules of our limited human understanding. Those of us who should have suffered bad consequences from our destructive choices. But instead, we found protection and purpose. When God's love breaks the rules of this world, it is called a miracle, not because God violates his character, but because his love transcends our expectations. If God gave you a second chance, don't waste it. I said all that to say that God loves you. Ephesians 3 19. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully, then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and the power that comes from God. I pray that you experience the power of God's love in your life.

How To Receive Salvation And Power

Okay, the big question, PD, how do I get this power? Turn to Romans chapter 10, verses 9 and 10. And in the word of God, it says this if you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart, what type of heart do you have for God? And believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. You will receive the power of God's love. Verse 10 for it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God. And it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. What do you need to do? You need to accept what Jesus Christ did on the cross for you. Believe that God raised him from the dead. And when it's time, openly declare your faith. Don't be ashamed of the gospel. Then get in your Bible and let the word of God and the Spirit of God lead you to the power of God's love.

Roots In Love And Final Prayer

As I'm about to make my exit, I want to put some Bible on it. Ephesians chapter 3, start at verse 17. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand as all God's people should, how wise, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully, then you will be made complete with all fullness of life and the power that comes from God. The power of God's love will help you see life clearly. The power of God's love will bring an atmosphere of peace. The power of God's love will produce an atmosphere of truth, which in return gives you a foundation for you to trust in. Everyone needs someone they can trust. Sometimes you just need to unload some stuff, and you need to know where you unload it at is where it's gonna stay at. With no condemnation, with no judgment. If you don't already have someone in your life like that, I pray that God brings someone in your life like that. Someone that you can trust completely.
