PD would love to hear from you

Hope is easy to talk about until you’re staring at a situation that looks finished. I’m opening up about what it means to keep believing when there’s no visible reason, drawing straight from Romans 4:18 and Abraham’s stubborn, faith-filled hope. If you’ve been tired, ashamed, stuck, or scared that you’ve gone too far, this is a reminder that God’s love does not give up and God’s kindness is meant to turn your life around.

I connect the message to real-world spiritual recovery and addiction recovery, including a personal story of being pulled back from the edge. Psalm 107:20 says God “sent out His word and healed them,” and I break down what that looks like when you put God’s Word on depression, stress, disappointment, and destructive habits. We talk about walking by faith, not by sight, and why healing is often a process instead of an instant switch.

Then I lay out a practical three-phase healing framework: admit you need help, accept the help and truth, and let the medicine work with time. “Dr. Jesus” brings rest, peace, and clarity, but you’ve got to stay in it long enough for your mind and heart to reset. We also talk about choosing the right support so you don’t stack hurt on top of hurt, and what it means to live healed instead of only quoting scripture.

If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with someone who needs hope, and leave a review so more people can find it. What’s one area of your life where you’re choosing to keep hoping?

Breaking Strongholds And Building On Rock

SPEAKER_02

the time again.

SPEAKER_00

What time?

SPEAKER_02

Town in 2 Corinthians 10 and 4, pour down some strongholds. And 1 John 4 18, cast out some fear.

SPEAKER_00

Then what?

SPEAKER_02

Matthew 7, 24 and 25. Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise. Like a person who builds a house on a solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the flood waters rise, and the winds beat against that house, we won't collapse because it's built on bedrock.

SPEAKER_00

Daddy, I know what time it is.

Victory Mindset And God’s Kindness

SPEAKER_02

Thank you for joining me on another episode of Solid As They Come podcast. Real talk with a real purpose for real people. Let's get into it.

SPEAKER_03

I'm too victorious to walk around with my head down. Family stay that the noint flow from the head down. And I'll be the first to admit. Never thought I'd make it this fall around that idea, but it's that new light game.

SPEAKER_02

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, and they overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone and a new life has begun. All of this is a gift from God who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. Romans chapter 2, verse 4. NLT, don't you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can't you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin? Not his wrath, but the word of God says, can't you see that his kindness? Can't you see that his goodness? Can't you see that he's wonderfully kind and tolerant and patient? Can't you see that him sending Jesus Christ to die for our sins, to live this life and overcome this life, to die on a cross, go into a grave and get resurrected, can't you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin? Not his wrath, not fine brimstone, but his kindness, his goodness. God loves you. And when you get cradled by the love of God, it'll turn your life around.

Prayer And The Scripture For Today

SPEAKER_02

Thank you for joining me this morning. Pray your week been blessed. Pray your day been blessed so far. SATC family. Let's get into it. Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on us. Let this time we spend together be consecrated. Let's grow together and get strong together in God's word. Speak to our hearts, Lord. Give us what we need to overcome. Give us what we need to move on. Give us what we need to be who you called us to be. Lord, give us what we need to get out of any situation, God, that's bringing us down and keeping us from living a life pleasing to you. I thank God for you this morning. I pray that God will move on your life and give you the strength to be blessed. There has been a scripture that's just been on my mind. I've been meditating on it all week as I've been praying to God what to bring to the podcast this week. And I've been meditating on Romans chapter 4, verse 18 in the NLT. And a certain part of it just caught me and just grabbed my soul and just got deep down and decided. Romans chapter 4, verse 18, and the NLT says this.

Abraham’s Hope And A Personal Rescue

SPEAKER_02

When it looks like loose light. When it looks like loose light. When you put from Jesus only. Oh when you put it from Jesus only. I've been walking with the Lord. Oh wow now. And I sit back in amazement of how he does it. He wretched down the Lord again. And I understand now. Like the songs say, it was love that lifted me. And when I started believing in it, love, and when I started trusting in it, love, man, it gave me hope. So just like Abraham, I was in a hopeless situation. Even when there was no reason to hope. The word of God says Abraham kept on hoping. I don't know who I'm preaching to, but I came to tell you this morning, maybe you was like me. See, I was wounded by the choices I made, by the lifestyle I was living. I came into this thing confused, y'all. I came in conflicted. I came in hurt. I came in defeated by the fake love this world has to offer. I was damaged good. But God, watch this. He looked beyond my faults and he saw me and my needs. Oh my God, preach PD, I am preaching. No matter what situation you're in, it's the love of God that will lift you. It's the love of God that will keep you. It's the love of God that will hold you. It's the love of God that will change you. Back to the text in Romans 4, 18. Let me tell you why Abraham didn't let the situation and what it looked like stop him from hoping. Let's keep on reading. Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping, believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, Oh, somebody just missed it. Go back. For God had said to him, Oh my God. Like I said, I don't know who I'm preaching to, but God has been speaking to your heart. I don't know who I'm preaching to. God been speaking to your life. Can I preach it like I want to? For God had said to him, watch this, let me help somebody. It starts off with God sending you a word. You got to understand it's not coincidence. When you're dealing with God, then you're dealing with God timing, and God knows the time when your heart is ready to receive Him. Come on, somebody. Psalms 1 107 and 20. He sent out His Word and healed them. Snatching them from the door of death. Oh my God, did you hear what the Word of God just said? Psalms 107 and 20. He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death. It starts off with God sending you a word. It's up to you to receive the word. It's up to you to believe the word. It's up to you to build faith in the word. And that faith will give you what you need and produce hope when there is none. 2 Corinthians 5 7. For we walk by faith, not by sight. A child of God doesn't need to see it. We trust God and we know it's going to work together for our good. And with that being said, let's double back on that word we just got and shine some light on it. Come on, somebody. Psalms 107 and 20. He sent out his word and healed them. Okay, let me make it make sense. In the verse above, verse 20 and verse 19, the people they were crying out to the Lord for help. And then in verse 20, it tells you what help the Lord sent them. It says, and he sent out his word and healed them. The Lord sent his word. They cried for help. They wanted help. They wanted change. And God sent his word to accomplish it. Look how strong the word of God is. It says, He sent out his word to heal them. Watch this. Snatching them from the door of death. Wait a minute. Am I the only one who was at the door of death? But before I got there, I cried out to the Lord. I didn't know when he was going to do it, how he was going to do it. But when I got into my trouble, when I chewed up all that cocaine, when I overdosed and laid in a coma for three days, and it looked like all hope was gone. But my God snatched me from the door of death and answered my cry for help. He sent grace and he sent mercy. He sent his love to lift me up. Watch what I did. I put the word of God on my issues. I put the word of God on my troubles. I put the word of God on my cold heart. I put the word of God on my addictions. I put the word of God on my stress. I put the word of God on my disappointments. I put the word of God on my depression. And just like in the text, he healed me. It didn't happen overnight, but I watched my life starting to change from the inside out. That's the spirit.

The Healing Process And Letting Time Work

SPEAKER_02

Just like in Psalms 107 and 2, he redeemed me, gave me new life, gave me forgiveness, put my relationship with him in peace, reconciled me to him. Romans 5, 1 and 4, NLT. Let's put it in the atmosphere and soak it in. But before we do that, I hear healing in my spirit. God sent his word. It's a word of healing. It's a process to healing. Don't miss this now. Lean in. Come here. Lean in. It's a process to healing. And in order to heal successfully, all three phases must occur in the proper sequence and time. Oh my God. Let's get to it. Phase one. You got to admit that you need help. And then after you admit that you need help, you admit that you need healing. You know what you need to do? One, you need to go see the doctor. Matthew 11, 28 NLT says this. Then Jesus said, Come to me, all of you who are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. You need to go see the doctor. Dr. Jesus. And then phase two, you need to accept the help and the truth. Put faith in the doctor and what the doctor is about to do. Okay, I hear you what the doctor is about to do. Turn to Isaiah 26:3 NLT. You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all who thoughts are fixed on you. Yo, what the doctor is about to do, the doctor is about to put you in peace. So you can experience a time of peace. So watch this. You can get your thoughts together and you can make some good decisions on the next moves that you are about to make in life. Okay. Phase one of the healing, we've seen where we come to the doctor, we come to Jesus, and he will give us rest. Then in phase two, we see where we admit that we need the help and we put our faith in the doctor, and he gives us his Holy Spirit, and it brings us peace. So we at peace. Phase two, we in peace. And then in phase three, here's where it gets real. Watch this. In phase three, you got to let the medicine work, you got to give it time. Let the word of God and the spirit of God be your new source of help. That's because the healing process is delicate, and not everyone is skilled in the healing department. I wouldn't recommend looking for help from another hurt person that's still hurt. That's hurt on top of hurt. Galatians chapter 6, verse 1, in the New King James says this, brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself, lest you also be tempted. All right, brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, the Bible is saying, you who are spiritual or you who are godly, walking in the spirit, not in feelings and not in emotions, but a person that has been to see Dr. Jesus has let the medicine work, has been healed by the love of God. The Bible is saying, lean on people like that while you're in recovery. Let the medicine work, and the medicine is the love of God through this whole process. God is gonna love on you and it will heal you. Come on, somebody.

Living Healed And Standing On God’s Word

SPEAKER_02

First Peter 5:10 NLT says this in his kindness, God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, so after you have been in some storms and some trials and some tribulations and had some late nights and had to fight a little bit after you have suffered a little while, watch this. He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and will place you on a firm foundation. Are you ready to roll then, baby? And you ready to get up and start living life again? Why? Because God came in and you allowed healing to take place. You didn't got in your right mind, you didn't got your heart right, you didn't got your mind right, you done got your spirit right. You understand now that walking with God is the thing to do, and now you're ready to roll. Yo remember this broken and hurt people can quote scriptures, but heal people don't just quote scriptures, baby. We live it, and when you get healed, woo! Isaiah 54 17, you don't just quote it, you live it. Isaiah 54, 17. But in that coming day, woo, that's the day that you got up, that's the day that God gave you the strength, that's the day that He set you on a solid foundation, that's the day you started standing on God business. But in that coming day, no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord. Oh my god, that's for healed people. That's the people who've been down and been hurt, turned it around, gave their life to Christ, put their trust in Jesus, and oh my god, you couldn't get them back down if you tried to because they understand the process. Oh, they lived in situations that looked hopeless, but don't forget, they went to see the doctor and Dr. Jesus. Wow, they were in recovery, amen. They started to build their faith, they started to build their trust. The medicine started working in a life, and you got to understand this. Uh remember Abraham, even though there was no reason to hope, Abraham kept on hoping that's healed. People, that's the people who are standing on God's business, that's the people who understand the power and the love of God. I had something else prepared for today, y'all. But God had me go another way. I done got all off script, but I trust God. And I heard healing in my spirit. And I pray that this word was a blessing to someone. I don't know who I'm preaching to, but God said speak about healing. 1 Corinthians 13 7 NLT. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance. The love of God heals, the love of God restores, the love of God gives strength, the love of God gives you the power to overcome. The love of God opens your eyes and your heart and your mind. The love of God never gives up. Let me drop something heavy in your spirit on my way out. Stop quitting so easy. Stop giving up on your change. Stop giving up on your better. Stop quitting so easy. Get to know God. Abraham. Even when he seen no reason to hope, he kept on hoping. Why? Because he knew it wasn't what it looked like because God was on his side. It makes a big difference when you are connected to hope. When you are connected to peace, to love, to joy, to power, to understand. It makes a big difference. And I pray that one day you will get to the point that even when it looks like all hope is gone, that you still keep on hoping because you know God. Man, I've been preaching

Final Charge And Keep It Solid

SPEAKER_02

too long. I gotta get out of here. Yo, I'll see y'all next week. Until then, remember, keep it solid.

SPEAKER_01

Man, what if I told you that? Everything ain't always good and at times I ain't got it. Would you lift me up in prayer or laugh at me in gossip? I'm just being honest. You ain't the only one with every day, stick it topic McDonald's.
