PD would love to hear from you
Split loyalty feels normal until you see what it produces: confusion, instability, and relationships that keep turning messy. We open with worship and a direct prayer for unity, fresh power, and freedom, then we go after the strongholds that quietly sabotage purpose, including jealousy, laziness, selfishness, and demonic oppression. The heartbeat is simple but demanding: the goal is not to be perfect, it’s to trust the perfect love of Jesus and let that love reshape how we choose.
From James 1:6-8 (NLT), we break down the warning about divided loyalty and why it leaves a person unsettled like a wave, unstable in everything. That instability shows up everywhere: marriage, family, community, church, business, and especially your relationship with God. We talk about loyalty as a foundational ingredient, because without loyalty you cannot build trust, and without trust you cannot build a healthy team, home, or spiritual life.
Then we draw a bright line between two systems. The world’s way sells cravings, image, and pride, but it’s temporary and works against you, leading to hurt and division. God’s way is a love that works for your good, restores what was stolen, and satisfies what your soul has been chasing. If you’re ready for a new chapter, this is your moment to make up your mind. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs stability, and leave a review with your biggest takeaway.
Welcome And Purposeful Worship
SPEAKER_03Thank you for joining me this week on Solid As They Come Podcast, where we journey into the presence of God, break strongholds, and discover and experience the love of Yahweh. Ephesians 3.19 in the New Living Translation says, May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to fully understand. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. The goal is not to be perfect, but to trust in, to believe in the perfect love of Jesus, the realest love you will ever experience. Spirit of the living God fall afresh on us. Let's put in some work now unto Him who is able. SATC and Life in Christ, church family and friends, good morning. May the Spirit of the Living God fall afresh on us. Remember to keep each other lifted up in prayer. And I pray that there will be unity in our families and communities held together by real love. Father God, please accept this
Rebuking Strongholds In Prayer
SPEAKER_03worship that we release this morning into the atmosphere, wrapped in truth and in faith. Lord, help us to walk by your spirit and not by sight. Help me rebuke things in life that come against us. We rebuke selfishness. We rebuke the spirit of jealousy. We rebuke the spirit of laziness. We rebuke the weapon of demonic oppression in Jesus' name. And I rebuke divided loyalty and I pray stability in the heart and mind and life of everyone under the sound of my voice. A made-up mind for the right purpose will produce godly results.
A Made Up Mind For Change
SPEAKER_03Who's ready for the next chapter of your life? Make your mind up. I pray every time I gather with you that I'm not bringing twenty to thirty minutes of wasted time. I pray that the Spirit of God will use me to be a vessel, to preach a word that will help lift someone above the oppression of life that is coming against them. And that the word of God would be the strength to say yes to God's way and no to your fears, that it would be the strength to close the door on a chapter of your life that is over, and to open the door of opportunity that Jehovah God has for you. Can you prepare your hearts to receive the word of God this morning? We are still adding the right ingredients until we get it right. Through much meditation and prayer this week, God has given me another ingredient to add.
Adding The Ingredient Of Loyalty
SPEAKER_03In this week, we are adding the ingredient of loyalty. Oh my god, preach PD, I'm about to. Who's ready for the next chapter of your life? If you are, God sent me by this morning to tell you to make up your mind. Because when you add the ingredient of loyalty, it has to be added with a made-up mind. So with that being said, and in the name above all names, it's time to break the influence of the source of the strongholds that hold us back. You know who it is. You know what it is, you know what the source of the influence that's keeping you from living your best life, that's keeping you from being in the presence of God, that's keeping you from going God's way. It's time to deal with it. And you do that with a made-up mind and accept the fact that the present reality is not working anymore, and a new direction is needed. God, we pray for new direction, and we know we can get it
James 1 And Divided Loyalty
SPEAKER_03from your word. Join in with me as we read the word of God. We are coming out of James chapter 1 this morning. We will start at the sixth verse. Like always, we are coming out of the new living translation. And in the word of God it says this, but when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty, oh my God, is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Verse 7. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. That's a position that a child of God doesn't want to be in. When you go to the Father and He doesn't answer your prayer, such people should not accept to receive anything from the Lord. What kind of people? The people that have divided loyalty. Remember, we're adding the ingredients of loyalty today. Verse 8. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. Oh my God. Let's unpack this today. Let's deal with this. In the word of God, it says that a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Then in verse 8, it says, A person with divided loyalty is unstable in everything that they do. Loyalty. At times, it cannot be easy, but we have to understand that it's necessary. It is the foundation that one stands on when they make up their mind to go and to live a certain way. There are two systems in this world and in this life to be loyal to.
Why Disloyalty Creates A Mess
SPEAKER_03Why? Because undivided loyalty is called confusion. And remember, confusion brings on uncertainty. And uncertainty leads to a mess. No loyalty in a marriage. Man, that's a messy marriage. No loyalty in a family, that's a messy family. No loyalty in a community, that's a messy community. No loyalty in a church family. That's a messy church home. No loyalty in a business. That's a messy business. No loyalty in your relationship with God. Watch this. That's a messy relationship. And remember, in the word of God, James 1, verse 7, it says, Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. I know this word might be a little rough on your ears, but it should be bread, it should be manner from heaven to your spirit. God sent me by this morning to ask you to make up your mind. Real talk with a real purpose for real people. Take it from someone who has lived a messy life. That when all the mess is removed, when all the confusion is removed, you can see what's real. James wrote this book of James to the 12 tribes of Israel. Why? Because they were scattered abroad, they had division in their life, they had displaced loyalty in their life. So James wrote this letter to help them get back under the umbrella of God's grace. And that's what God has sent me by this morning to do. Help someone. I don't know who I'm preaching to, but God said it's time to get back under the umbrella of God's grace and mercy. And how you do that is you make up your mind. Your loyalty cannot be divided between God and the world because that's a messy situation. Let's go back to the text. Let's unpack this a little bit more. And verse 8 says, their loyalty is divided between God and the world. In other words, you have God's way and you have the world's way. There's two systems at work here. Watch this. The world's way is a system that works against you. It looks good, it feels good, but it's a system in the end that will work against you. It brings on division and it always leads to a mess. Don't turn me down. Turn me up right now. Watch this. The
The World’s System And Its Traps
SPEAKER_03world's way is a system that works against you. Turn to 1 John 2.16 in NLT. Let's break it down a little bit. And in the word of God, it says this for the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we seek, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but from this world. Oh my God, preach PD, I am preaching. This world only offers a craving. This world only offers temporary. This world only offers things that feel good right now. Come on, somebody. John said, don't put your loyalty in that. Why? Because it won't last. Don't put your loyalty in something that don't last. The world's way always ends up in hurt. The world's way is temporary. The world's way is a system working against you. And this system is ran by the devil, is ran by Satan. I just want you to see with your own eyes who the plug is of this world. The time for judging this world has come when Satan, the ruler of this world, will be cast out. The world's way is a system working against you, ran by the devil. The world's way creates an atmosphere that produces fake love, fake thoughts, fake behavior, and fake language that goes against the ways and the love of God, the gangster image, being proud to be in a game, thinking it's cool to be disrespectful, the lack of value of another person's life, glorifying murder. Don't that sound familiar? Remember this loyalty is connected to purpose. So when you choose the world's way with the lifestyle to match, you're connected to the devil's purpose. Remember his purpose in John 10:10? That the thief's purpose. The devil's purpose, the ruler of this world's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. Don't that sound familiar? It sounds like what we hear on the news every day. The demonic influence in this world is at a high level. That's why the gospel of Jesus Christ needs to be preached and lived at a high level. God sent me by this morning to have you search your heart and to see who your loyalty is in. The world's way always ends up in hurt. Watch this. It looks good for the moment, it feels good for the moment. It's temporary. Anything that the devil has to offer is an illusion. And this system is designed to reel you in. And then watch this kill, steal, and destroy. When your loyalty is with the world's system, it will always produce division. There will be division in families. There will be division in communities. There will be hurt in families. There will be hurt in communities. When your loyalty is operating in the wrong system, you will always get hurt in the end. Because the world's way is a system working against you. It's an illusion. That's why I'm asking you today to make up your mind. Where is your loyalty? Don't use the system of the world. Come on, somebody. Let me bring it down like this. The world's way, the system of this world is designed to do one thing, and that's to keep you from seeing God's way. To keep you from experiencing God's way. To keep you from the presence of God. Alright, let's spin the block and bring it back to the text. James 1 and 8. And it says, their loyalty is divided between
God’s Way Restores And Satisfies
SPEAKER_03God and the world. Enough about the world's way. Now let's talk about God's way. What is God's way? God's way. Watch this. Don't miss this. God's way is a love working for your good. Oh my God. Preach PD, I am preaching. When your loyalty is connected to the love that works together for your good, it will work in you, around you, and for you. It's a cleanser that will restore everything that the system of the devil, the system of Satan, stole from you and give you a fresh wind to begin a new chapter in life. Psalms 107 and 9 in the NLT, when you go in God's way, when your loyalty is in the Lord, for he satisfies the thirsty, and he fills the hungry with good things. Oh my God, did you hear what the word of God just says? He fills the hungry with good things. So good things come to your life when you go God's way. It's been 22 years, and I haven't seen the inside of a jail cell. It's been 22 years, and I have not been addicted to any type of drugs. It's been 22 years, and God has filled my heart with love. No more shootouts, no more bad drug deals, no more having to fight to prove myself. He satisfies the thirsty. My soul was thirsty. I was thirsting for the streets. I was thirsting for uh what the world had to offer, but he satisfied my thirst and he filled my hunger with good things since I put my loyalty in God. Now I'm hungry for peace. Now I'm hungry to see lives change. Now I'm hungry to see families reunited. Now I'm hungry to see addictions getting broken. Now I'm hungry to see the sick getting healed. Now I'm hungry to see losses turn into lessons. Now I'm hungry to see poverty start to fade away and wealth start to be built. That's what I'm hungry for. I'm hungry to see God's way. I'm hungry to see our young black men wake up and stop falling for the trap of this world and being a victim to the system that's working against them. I'm hungry for seeing our community being known for spreading love and spreading unity instead of being known for spreading bullets and committing murder. But that's what we get when we put our loyalty in the world, in the system of the world. Y'all have been preaching too long. I'm gonna have to pick back up on this, but go back to the text. James 1.8 says this their loyalty is divided between God and the world. Remember, two systems at work the world system, and that's a system that works against you, and that's a system that has our neighborhoods and our communities and our families tore up, messed up. That's that system. And then you have God's way, that's the system that's gonna bring healing, that's the system that's gonna restore, that's the system that's gonna open the eyes of our young people, that's the system that's gonna bring love back to the families and the communities that we
Loyalty Builds Trust And Community
SPEAKER_03live in. That's the system where our loyalty should be in. Remember, we added the right ingredient today, and that ingredient is loyalty because without loyalty, you have no trust. Without trust, you have no team efforts. Without team efforts, you basically can't have a functioning community, you can't have a functioning marriage, you can't have a functioning church home, you can't have a functioning relationship with God without loyalty, it leads to a mess. Let me drop this last thought on you. Why put loyalty in a system, in a group, in a person that will never be loyal to you? If your loyalty is divided between the world's way or God's way, it's time for you to make a choice. Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on us. We'll pick back up on this next week. But until then, remember keep it solid.
SPEAKER_01I know where I'm headed. I'm just passing for the king.
