Johnny Spoiler:

You've stumbled into a podcast. Maybe you were looking for a podcast about I don't know anything else. No, just kidding, it's so negative. It'd be like a podcast how to rebuild that carburetor, podcast about why he won't return your phone calls. Welcome to.

Jordan Savage:

Weld, Weld, Weld yeah. I was just fine.

Johnny Spoiler:

I saw my first welding unit we're going to sponsor JB Wright, trucks and Tires, oh man, anyway. No, it's a binge watchers podcast. Usually, I'm telling you who I am. I'm Johnny. I spoil things. I only spoil the movies I love. That's what it's been, okay, and I'm joined, as always, by Jordan Savage, the Savage Scream Queen herself.

Johnny Spoiler:

I guess we're making fun of podcasting. I don't know. We're in that kind of mood. It's filled with people. We're in that kind of mood. It's filled with movie months. We'll be talking about movies that make you feel good or make other people feel good, because you could be like step back from that ledge, my friend.

Johnny Spoiler:

Which is a song I won't sing the lyrics because I'm not paying for the lyrics. I don't know, nobody would ever charge me for the lyrics. Can you imagine if you were on so many people's radar that they're like hey, johnny and Jordan just used the lyrics to that song? Anyone with a cease and desist, send them the tab. One day We'll be on everybody's hit list. We'll be on it. Yeah, this is completely random opening, sorry, we'll write better jokes next week. Okay, where are we at? Um home video headlines. What's new in movies and television? Netflix is considering expanding the Fear Street franchise with a standalone film, potentially featuring new characters and storylines. I'm, I'm, I almost use. I will set Jordan's tagline. What do you all will say when you're located? What do you mean? I don't know. I'm here for it.

Jordan Savage:

I'm here for it. You are here for it. You almost said it and we liked it, so yeah, Fear Street, the 94 story was amazing.

Johnny Spoiler:

That's what I know. It's say I'm gonna have to trust myself. I mean I wrote it down earlier in a red pen, Can't take it back now. Um.

Johnny Spoiler:

Ghostbusters frozen empire Um, one of the stars is Kumal and Jari the comedian, and he says the upcoming sequel plays out like a long episode of the animated series the real Ghostbusters, which is kind of cool. I think we were talking about that on our recent Halloween episode. Um, the series was good, it was scary, had a bunch of crazy ghosts, unique ghosts Uh, I did watch the trailer. Basically, it's exactly what it says. Uh, New York freeze is over and they got to take on a big frozen baddie. Uh, I mean, they're just franchising the heck out of it. They're just franchising the heck out of everything now. So that's what it is. We're just probably going to get like a Ghostbusters sequel every every year. Now you know what I mean.

Jordan Savage:

Like isn't it one of your favorite franchises Like, especially for that time of year, for Halloween time? So I'm here for it.

Johnny Spoiler:

Oh dang, see how it takes the thunder away, like if somebody had said it a while ago literally two minutes ago, yeah, so sometimes we zip out those spoilers or somebody else does a spoiler.

Johnny Spoiler:

I'm like, wow, spoiler my spoiler. I'm going to spoil nothing. Actually I don't know if anybody's actually paying attention. I say I'm only going to spoil the things that I'm really into. So half the time I don't say anything, which means I must not be really that into the movie. But that's like, uh, inside baseball you got to really be paying attention. Um, a live action Legend of Zelda movies officially in development from Nintendo. What do you think?

Jordan Savage:

I mean, I think that was like before my time, but it's so iconic that she kind of shrugged.

Johnny Spoiler:

Ladies and gentlemen, if you're just like listening.

Jordan Savage:

Hey there, I'm like right on the cusp of it being For me, but the wrong one. My brother would love, you know.

Johnny Spoiler:

so I think it will be cool, you know you didn't play any of the link games, so please, yeah. I didn't. Later on they let Zelda be the boss, kind of like she had her own missions. Wasn't a damsel in distress? Right the princess up in the tower to sit there?

Jordan Savage:

I love it when the damsel becomes the main character.

Johnny Spoiler:

So Speaking of which damsel is coming out from Netflix. This is not a plug. We didn't. That's a movie with the girl from. She's like the psychic in that. What's that stranger thing? Oh, strangers things.

Jordan Savage:

Um Millie Bobby.

Johnny Spoiler:

Bobby Monroe whatever, whatever whatever Is their name. And she's actually in a movie called damsel where, like, she gets stuck in a Dragons cave but hey, nobody's coming to save her. In fact they Uh Wait, this is I guess it's the concept of just spoiler alert a trailer, right? Yeah, they stuck her in the mountain on purpose, sacrifice her to the dragon.

Johnny Spoiler:

She's got to figure her own way out and then she's, like, inserted a headline. We weren't planning on talking about one ever. I'm sorry, um, but that looks good. This is kind of silly. Paramount's going to develop another remake of the longest yard. What is the long chart, folks? This is what it is. It's a prison football movie. So Bert Reynolds was in the original one and then they remade it with Adam Sandler and they brought back Bert Reynolds character Like, oh, he's still in jail, he'll come and help coach the new team that's in jail. And basically it's like the prisoners play the guards. That was a cool concept. Like prisoners on this side of the huddle, guards on this side. Let's have a game.

Jordan Savage:

I watched. I watched Adam Sandler, one like a bunch.

Johnny Spoiler:

Yeah, which has like a dramatic death right, like is it Chris Rock's character? It's like blown up halfway through the movie or something like that.

Jordan Savage:

I can't remember. I just remember that Hail Mary, you know gameplay where they're just tossing it up and you know whatever.

Johnny Spoiler:

But I will say the original is a little bit more serious. Right Like the 70s edge Adam Sandler remake. Forget it. But the what the written? The Adam Sandler remake, though, does go out of its way to make sure that you know why he's in prison, like they spend like a half hour where he's like joy riding right. Add a control football player in the beginning of the movie or something through downtown or whatever it. Whatever's going on.

Jordan Savage:

Gives us some backstory.

Johnny Spoiler:

Yeah, so the sag after strike is over. Deadpool is back in production for Deadpool three. I just got started here. I don't know, maybe they're shooting this week or something, I don't know. Yeah. I feel like do you know how? You know how, like, if people talk about something so much, you just get tired of it or you don't like, you're no longer as jazzed about it.

Jordan Savage:

Yeah.

Johnny Spoiler:

Like I'm sure I'll watch Deadpool three when it comes out. Yeah, totally.

Jordan Savage:

Yeah.

Johnny Spoiler:

I want the Deadpool Wolverine storyline. I want the cameo. You know, I want Jack been running around with my Ryan Reynolds that's his name, right, yeah, yeah, trying to confuse him with the other Ryan who's just hanging out with Barbies. Double Ryan's Dang it. Okay, we'll be back in like 40 seconds with tonight's movie, which is called Yesterday.

Jordan Savage:

Yeah crack a whole box of wine, or pour something cold on ice, because it's the binge watches podcast.

Johnny Spoiler:

Yesterday is about a struggling musician who realizes the only person on earth who can remember the Beatles after he wakes up in kind of like an alternate reality and the Beatles they never existed. And then he gets kind of famous for singing their songs, which creates kind of like a moral dilemma. It's directed by Danny Boyle, it's got Hamish Patel, it's got Lily James, ed Sheeran and Kate McKinnon. I guess it's safe to say the cast is like peppered with both music people and entertainment people. I think that's kind of like what helped ground it in reality.

Johnny Spoiler:

Right, because it's we haven't really touched on a lot of movies that are magical realism, like basically like yeah, there's a fantasy element or like something's messing with time and space, but it's set in like our backyard or like in the mean, like everything that we know Starbucks and McDonald's, you know Apple Watches it's like happening in our neck of the woods but it's whatever right. So there's kind of like an impossible choice in the movie that gets kind of set up. So the main character, jack, he's super talented in his own way, and then he has his best friend who's like his talent manager, ellie right.

Johnny Spoiler:

And then in the alternate reality, or we'll call it Beetleverse, right, ooh, the Beetleverse. Essentially he becomes a super famous singer, but it's like he's the most glorified world famous cover band singer Because he's the only one that knows how to cover the Beatles like nobody's. Like, oh, cool song, jack. But he doesn't have Ellie's love to support. In that universe he starts to lose First of all. First he loses the support and then the love. It's like a scene where she's like how did I get put in that column? How you know, they're doing the classic like. Here's the thing, it's the classic friend column, love column, right, right, the metaphors. But she just doesn't know a way that makes it good again, even though we've seen it before. You know, you believe her in that instance, right? Anyway, I'm getting so far ahead of where we're supposed to be. Hey, jordan, do you have any savage stats about tonight's movie?

Jordan Savage:

Got some savage stats for you. So Hamesh Patel did all of his own singing and playing in the movie, which is incredible.

Johnny Spoiler:

Yeah, it's pretty cool.

Jordan Savage:

It is pretty rad. Screenwriter Richard Curtis asked for Paul McCartney's approval of the title of the film. Sir Paul gave his blessing, but also suggested they called it scrambled eggs instead. This was a lighthearted reference to the fact that, before coming up with the lyrics for yesterday, mccartney had the temporary lyrics of scrambled eggs as a placeholder for the song.

Johnny Spoiler:

So right, you're gonna make like a movie and you're gonna call it like scrambled eggs. That's pretty good One on. It's gonna be like an album and people are gonna like playing on the music player Scrambled eggs.

Jordan Savage:

Scrambled eggs. I don't know if I can hold it longer than that that was pretty good, though the Beatles had zero input creatively outside of approving of their music being used in the film. Director Danny Boyle stated that in interviews that the film was blessed by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, as well as the states of John Lennon and George Harrison.

Johnny Spoiler:

I tried to find some of these interviews. All I could really find was Ed Sheeran in like a two minute clip saying oh yeah, how much Patel, that guy can sing. Thanks, ed Sheeran. Ed Sheeran is like the most vanilla. You know what I'm saying.

Jordan Savage:

He even gives you vanilla, like in this movie, like, even just like.

Johnny Spoiler:

Saturated. It's like dripping with vanilla. That's even possible. But to say dripping would be to make it sound better than it is.

Jordan Savage:

No, it's perfect, not dripping, like dripping in gold or steed, it's like dripping as in. You're going to get a little bit of it throughout the whole entire movie and, yeah, honestly though it works, it ties it all in together. One early concept was that the color purple was among the things that did not exist. So, like in the movie, coca-cola doesn't exist in the movie.

Johnny Spoiler:

Harry Potter doesn't exist.

Jordan Savage:

Rough, rough stuff, guys.

Johnny Spoiler:

We don't get to read about our wizard while drinking our Coca-Cola. What kind of world are we falling into?

Jordan Savage:

Yeah, seriously. And so, going back to the color purple, with the casual reference to the band Deep purple now being called Deep Orange, this idea was abandoned because it was pretty much too much work for them to enforce the extras to not be wearing purple, which makes sense. There's a lot of scenes in some pretty heavily populated areas.

Johnny Spoiler:

That's really tough. You're going to eliminate an entire color from the spectrum.

Jordan Savage:

Also, I feel like color is one of those subjective things where it's like somebody could be like is that purple? Is that sort of purple? I feel like that's a hard rule to try to lay down.

Johnny Spoiler:

And then you got to follow it through, right, because then, like Prince's song wouldn't be purple rain, right? What kind of rain would it be? What color would it be? There's also a movie about, like the American South, called the color purple. So there would be no color purple.

Jordan Savage:

Right.

Johnny Spoiler:

If we go by these facts and stats and suggestions, then, like everything that was purple would be orange. You're right so it would be the color orange, orange rain, which that sounds like. Now sounds like a Like a phantom commercial or something, or a chemical weapon or something.

Jordan Savage:

It does sound like a chemical. I was trying to go a little bit more cheerful for that one, okay.

Johnny Spoiler:

I know it's hard. We're talking about movies that are supposed to make you feel good, but we want to get dark.

Jordan Savage:

You're right. They would be redlining some pretty like historical pieces of music and movies If we had to follow that rule. So when Jack first performs yesterday, his friends claimed that it's not as good as Coldplay. Ed Sheeran's role was originally meant for Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, who could not do it due to scheduling conflicts. So then it was offered to Sheeran, but the joke was left in the script.

Johnny Spoiler:

So they make so many references to Coldplay in the movie.

Jordan Savage:

I only remember the one.

Johnny Spoiler:

There's a cat that I just gotta be at least three, I thought I heard it like at least three times. Anyway, we'll be right back with favorite bits from yesterday. After these messages. Jordan Savage:

I was going to say subtle weight. She's out. There S subtle weight to tell me to step up my game.

Johnny Spoiler:

Well, you kind of paused, Like you think actually like. I don't know. 50 episodes, 100 episodes? How many episodes have you been on?

Jordan Savage:

Well, can you imagine over so many? Yeah, that's like 104 episodes minimum. So that's.

Johnny Spoiler:

I think at this point you might want to call yourself some kind of movie person, some kind of movie professional.

Jordan Savage:

I am a movie person.

Johnny Spoiler:

Notice she said movie person, not movie professional.

Jordan Savage:

I am a movie professional. There we go, professional now.

Johnny Spoiler:

What are your professional favorite bits from yesterday?

Jordan Savage:

I mean, the whole movie is chock full of them. I did reference the whole Harry Potter moment. Of course Jack has dealt with his moral conflict. You're kind of coming off the whole scene he is trying to make his. I don't want to spoil it. I feel like I'm trying really hard to not like directly. I will Okay, no.

Johnny Spoiler:

I'm going to say he goes to a huge concert, has a nervous breakdown and says I'm going to lose the girl if I don't tell the girl in front of millions of people how I feel about the girl, now or never. And he's like, yeah, guess what?

Jordan Savage:

The Beatles are people I stole the song and I took their stuff.

Johnny Spoiler:

I'm in love with you. I mean everybody's like oh, do we slow clap? Now Is there music. Because I just I bought this ticket. It's non-refundable.

Jordan Savage:

I'm at the gym, I'm at the concert, I'm at the Even between your bit that you just described. In the bit I'm going for, there's even small bits within the bits that are just so funny.

Johnny Spoiler:

Did you find it at all disturbing the fact that they can't get back to the actual world they came from, where the Beatles are Real? No, because. I never.

Jordan Savage:

What's the problem I just didn't really think.

Johnny Spoiler:

I didn't think about that element until this rewatch where I go oh wait, a minute, you know what? They never actually get back to square one. Usually in these movies they get rewind the little magic spell or the accident and they go back to their normal world and get on with their lives, Right.

Jordan Savage:

Like the clock dings midnight and time reverses, or whatever. They click their heels, who knows, and it goes back to the way that the world is.

Johnny Spoiler:

And no, that didn't bother me. You were extremely famous. You have a scandal now going with the rest of your life in this world without the Beatles.

Jordan Savage:

But I kind of like that about this movie is that it's very much unlike all the others that kind of have this sort of like you know, rewriting your mistakes or going I don't know a parallel universe or something. Oh, it has.

Johnny Spoiler:

Even though it has magic, it's also got consequences. It sure does I. I could argue, harry Potter has consequences.

Jordan Savage:

Yeah, but Harry Potter doesn't exist in this room. I'm sorry. Okay, yeah, so, but even if there's Every dude, there's little bits, even in between the bits, like Kate McKinnon's character. She's obviously this like super power, hungry, you know movie producer, and, just like what you said, he finally confesses to everybody in the crowds of people are chasing him and Ellie, so Jack and Ellie are running through the stadium and Kate McKinnon's character gets like pushed up on you know the glass and she's like trying to shout through the door to essentially get to them and what's.

Johnny Spoiler:

Yeah, she's like a music agent out for blood or whatever. Yeah.

Jordan Savage:

What's his sidekick's name? I forget, because I loved his character.

Johnny Spoiler:

Darn. I didn't write down any of the friend's names, but yeah, so they have a friend who's like a music roti.

Jordan Savage:

Rocky.

Johnny Spoiler:

Rocky. There you go. Yeah, because he's making jokes with Ed Sheeran on the airplane.

Jordan Savage:

Yeah, that was a good thing. So at some point, guys.

Johnny Spoiler:

Jack gets invited to sing with Ed Sheeran because Ed Sheeran hears one of his Beatles songs on the radio, goes to his house. He's gonna have a beer with them. I wrote that down, ed Sharon beer, like it was one of my bits. Here's Jordan is right, though the way I would say. It is like Almost every scene and every actor brings bits to the movie, like everything is just about good, you know. So, yes, it's too much goodness.

Jordan Savage:

It's like one-liners that just like make you laugh so hard. When it's like Jack is or is it Jack or Rocky? I think Jack's like yelling at Kate McKinnon's character, that she's embarrassing herself like I don't know why. I just thought the delivery was so funny. Her face is pressed up against the glass. She wants to get Jack to like take it back, I don't know so she can make tons of money off of him.

Jordan Savage:

The whole Harry Potter thing is so funny too, because he wakes up the next day and he's just got this like air of relief like you you could even just see it in his character Like this weights been lifted off his shoulders and he's just saying I feel like Harry Potter when he defeats Voldemort, that we can just go back to the way that things were before. And I laughed so hard because I like know that part in the movies and in the books, like you know where it's over, you know it's like this huge thing that you're building up and it's done. And Then, of course, she's like Harry, who I was just like laughing so hard.

Johnny Spoiler:

So there's a recall, like Google searching because at the beginning he's like Google searching to see any kind of beetle. It doesn't come up. Coca-cola doesn't come up. What else is on this list? Cigarettes don't come up. Cigarettes aren't a thing. Yeah. And then they slap us with the Harry Potter right there at the end. But I feel like that's like that's. There's more than one Harry Potter reference as well, I think.

Johnny Spoiler:

I can't call yeah, but there's a moment where he's trying to sing the song, let it be to his parents in the neighbor and they just like. They're just like Trying to pacify his interest in music, right? So they're not really paying attention. They keep interrupting, right with the.

Jordan Savage:

Song of phone.

Johnny Spoiler:

He's like yeah, I know, like almost like no, I know like they're talking about him, yeah, yeah, like the wife of the right. He's like he's playing music again. I thought he was done. Yeah, he's gonna give it up never.

Jordan Savage:

Oh, yeah, I know, I know, I know you can just imagine that whole conversation that you're not hearing. It just made me laugh so hard.

Johnny Spoiler:

How about the sing-off where Ed Sheeran's like we're gonna take ten minutes? Whoever writes the best song is the better singer, and of course he walks out of the park.

Jordan Savage:

Right, yes, the whole, like once Ed Sheeran gets into the kitchen and they're like trying to have a cider together In the kitchen and there's no cider left. To the very end, I mean so.

Johnny Spoiler:

I don't know, he kind of gets on my nerves. I don't want to give him too much credit, but in that scene where they have this song off, he actually does look downtrodden, like he's actually really upset that the other guy might be potentially a better singer, songwriter. Yeah, I'm like could Eric Sheeran really be that good of an actor to play that kind of pain in a movie where he's playing Ed Sheeran? You know what I mean. Like right, and I'm sitting here going. I got like, but what does it say about my character? I'm like I don't want to give people credit for a modding in movies. I'm like I don't want to give you any credit for acting Ed. You know like, but In this one it works.

Johnny Spoiler:

I don't know if it's because he's playing himself or that happened to him in real life and he drew on some kind of real pain for this Fake moment to infuse it with something. Yeah, we mentioned the concert confession. What else is going on? Oh, how about in this reality? John Lennon never becomes a singer, so he's like retired for incantation the countryside talking about the love affair of his life or whatever, and Gives gives Jack some motivation to Make the concert confession. Really, I mean, that's a major thing, right in the third act. I've seen this movie now four times. I never really thought about the, as we said, like the, the magic spell being reversed. I call it magic smoke, was it? It's like a, actually more like a meteorological weather phenomenon or something.

Jordan Savage:

Wide amnesia, yeah.

Johnny Spoiler:

Someone turned on the headroom collider and they're like the particles exploded or something and change the face of the planet. Who knows like I Mean? But that's the one. Well, actually, no, we find out there. It's not the one element, just the Beatles. Like it's almost like things that people were associated with, like joy or obsessions, like we're erased or something, or like just so classic, you know.

Jordan Savage:

Like Coca-Cola is classic, like it's the best of its kind, you know. But then you have like cigarettes. I don't know how that comes in. Maybe it's just like.

Johnny Spoiler:

Well, doesn't Jack get stressed out or something and he wants to crack open a smoke?

Jordan Savage:

Yeah, well, he brings it up, but like cigarettes aren't like the best of its kind, you know, because it's just cigarettes, you know.

Johnny Spoiler:

but I could read my notes.

Johnny Spoiler:

What else is here? Let's see. Oh, I had just written. Oh wait, what did I write? We talked about let it be, which is which. Actually. I really like that song. It was really funny, like so part of the fun of this movie is when he's trying to sit remember the lyrics of the Beatles song but then he goes out into the community and he's like playing at bars, playing at parties, and Nobody is recognizing them About how the classic and great songs that they are right. There's like a moment in the movie where people are just like whatever dude like.

Johnny Spoiler:

Right you know, I mean.

Jordan Savage:

Well, and I like the part of the movie too where he like doesn't exactly remember all of the lyrics. You know, yeah to the internet to actually remember, to look them up.

Johnny Spoiler:

You know we're one point he's at the dentist right and he's getting like his tooth. He has to well, cuz I, and it's well. It's not an insignificant detail, but part of the accident is a Bus. It's him. Is that what happens? He flies off the bus on the bicycle and loses his front tooth gets replaced. But then he remembers a song while he's sitting there at the dentist. And yeah, it was a cool story device, right, there's things that trigger in his memory about the Beatles songs.

Jordan Savage:

Um, I, I mean the other thing too. We have been brought up too is like so he remembers the Beatles, but there's two other human beings, oh, yeah, that's right.

Johnny Spoiler:

The the event didn't didn't wipe away everybody. Yeah, there's a Russian guy, right, and there's a English lady who helps him remember strawberry fair or something like that and they come into his life like the, and he thinks he's gonna be criticized or crucified and they're just like no, thank you. These are like the best songs. We need them. They make people feel better and I'm not gonna talk about I mean, I'm not gonna sit here. This is like we're gonna have like a diatribe about like how famous the Beatles are, like our favorite deal. I mean, we could probably discuss our favorite Beatles songs, but I just want to bring up there is a documentary called get back that Peter Jackson made, which is actually it's pretty good because when they were working on album, they have all this like footage behind the scenes and they put it all together finally like a documentary series and it's really really good. So I actually give them more credit having seen that documentary.

Johnny Spoiler:

And also, yeah, we may have brought it up once before where I said like I didn't realize like what, like, like they. What's funny is like as much as they make Ed Sheeran jokes, they also made a tunnel. Like Ringo star jokes, right, like he's always the beetle that gets picked on or whatever, right, if you watch that documentary, like you give him a lot more credit. Like you know, he's kind of like sitting there and I deal with everybody's emotions and that in like egos, he's kind of taking it all in. He's kind of laid back and like Was more instrumental than you think and it's pretty interesting. You know when are we at? Are you gonna rate?

Jordan Savage:

Yes, I mean it's kind of a given, of course, that I would like I would go tell my mom immediately like this is why I love this month so much, because the movies that like just bring you pure joy, like that's something I want to share with my mom.

Johnny Spoiler:

So like it's hard to play poker face where you're just like I don't know if I you just binge now, binge later, binge never. I mean, I really think just this, this movie made me want to. You know, stick to forking me, I'm done. Never, never want you to get, you know. Like no, obviously, obviously. Yeah, I guess you can figure that out right. Like oh, it's a feel-good movie month, so obviously they must like the movies. So have we ever, have we ever dissed a feel-gooder that's a good question Well, how to look it up?

Johnny Spoiler:

luck yeah look at the what to go to the catalog folks and see if we ever disagreed about some of the Feel-gooders is it, might, it might be possible, because I mean I still give Jordan a hard time about Casper floating to the top of the stock and stuff or something else still Watch Casper every year. Yeah, I mean obviously there's no debate, there's no conflict. Usually during the ratings segment we have a nice little banter, but we're both like yeah.

Jordan Savage:

I didn't even give you a second to like say what?

Johnny Spoiler:

no, I didn't even get to like build the dramatic pause in the arcs of the rating system. You're just like I Like I had still unwound it from my tongue. I was like I'm still gonna have to get in summer Fan service. What are the fans up to do? Let's see. What do we got? What do we got? What do we got? Um, yeah, we're just thinking about dirty toy packages from Adam and Eve. Like we got some giveaways. We got some giveaways coming to you.

Jordan Savage:

Oh, Makes me laugh Dang.

Johnny Spoiler:

Use your own imagination, folks. What's in your, what's in your gift bag? It's honest way to you. It's in the mail Jordan's looking for. Read back on your feel-gooders. She's looking for some some videos. Send me a video and I Should have probably figured out what the we do like giveaways every month, but I didn't really put a package together. During anime month it was like some animes. We had a horror movie bundle. We did some Funko pops. What else have we done? Voodoo gift card, which are like movie things. Download a movie For feel-good movie month. I don't know. You want to pie. We'll send you a pie Like what's annual damn pie it's like the best kind of giveaway yeah.

Johnny Spoiler:

What flavor it is. I don't know it's gonna be like it'll be the dealer's choice, but we'll send you a pie. Yeah, I think they. We had the technology to ship pies.

Jordan Savage:

But it has to be out there. Yeah, it has to be.

Johnny Spoiler:

Where are we at? Oh, staff picks. If you watched anything else besides yesterday, is there anything you want to tell the audience about? Sometimes I ask before the show because I don't know. I have to try to remember to write things down for myself too. Yeah.

Jordan Savage:

This is always where I'm trying to like jog my memory.

Johnny Spoiler:

Yeah you know, it's not weird because we know everybody's watching things all week long and then you get here and you're just like what the hell did I watch? Well, because everybody's just trying to grind their week away, right? So mostly their content is just like in one ear out the other.

Jordan Savage:

Feel like I watched something good too, but not happy related.

Johnny Spoiler:

Let that rattle around in your head and I'll tell you mine, and then maybe it'll come up, or not, hey, tell me so pain hustlers is a Movie on Netflix with Emily Blunt and Chris Evans. Captain America. He's the sales manager at a pharmaceutical company. That's kind of like a Smaller rival to like oxycodon or something during like the you know the pain, killer days, mm-hmm, the big craze, whatever.

Johnny Spoiler:

Emily Blunt's like a woman that needs a job. She's like Kind of like going through a divorce, got a daughter to support, loses a job and then like but it's very like super Adaptable and like improvisational. With like if opportunities are there, she knows how to act on them real quickly. So she's like boom, I'm your salesperson. Boom, I got a doctor to agree to sell this prescription. Boom, I got five more doctors. Boom, we got the convention. Boom, we're like selling that. You know what I mean. Like he's like happens very quickly.

Johnny Spoiler:

But then it comes around to like Guilt and responsibility and like it basically is like starts to unravel because it's all about the conflict of like selling those drugs you can be people hooked on them and make more money and all this stuff. Is it as good as the Hulu show that had Michael Keaton in it, about the same kind of conflict but a different drug? Probably not, but I just love, I just love. I love being in the sales game. Man, you know, I love these movies about like industrious people with their little ties on or like Closing deals, chasing deals, I guess I don't know, is that addictive? It might be addictive, maybe what you taste that apple.

Jordan Savage:

Yeah, you gotta get another bite Cut on the tail of that. It's like a horror Drama thriller on Netflix about a very similar concept, but way spooky, like spooky vibes. If you watched or liked the horror, the haunting of Hill House and the haunting of Bly Manards people who created those it's called the fall of the house of usher, and so it's essentially this man and a sister they essentially like rise up in the corporate world by essentially climbing the ranks of their own company and they have essentially it's a, it's a painkiller, like a fictional painkiller, that they they kind of like leverage their backstory into climbing the ranks in this company and Essentially he's got like six kids and they're all.

Johnny Spoiler:

That egg roll and pole. Egg roll and pole adaptation. It might be yeah, I did it yeah it's super, I liked it.

Jordan Savage:

It was super good, super entertaining. I like that. You know, every episode is dedicated to one of the, the siblings of the, the children, and it was good.

Johnny Spoiler:

I watched yeah, the house of usher is one of his classic like stories or whatever. And and I mean they consider him like what? One of the classic fathers of twistiness, right, you know what's that? What's that one with the Raven, or whatever it is right.

Johnny Spoiler:

Yes and then there's one about like a heart that's buried under a floorboard that keeps beating, and so that's what gives away the fact that the guy murdered the other guy and it has a. It has a simple name, like the twice beat heart or something like that, but I know it's pretty good too. Anyway, yeah, it's funny that there's no arguments about the movie like Just steam it up a little bit for next week. We could be like no, hate it, feel good. Movie months will continue. We'll keep teasing Jordan about being in a warmer climate where she can ride bicycles. Yeah, the big freeze over here.

Jordan Savage:

I got a Sunday on this weekend, so I did a hike. I even got some sunshine on my face, in my chest, so Talk about one percent or over here.

Johnny Spoiler:

That would be like a one percent of that has access to nature.

Jordan Savage:

To nature right now in. November.

Johnny Spoiler:

Uh-huh, it's like one of those entitlement problems Standing in the sunlight the opportunity to stand in the sunlight, you're not gonna take it. I earned this so Earned your special treat. I earned my special although Gordon often shares pictures of her cats online, and I've seen pictures of her cats online and I want to talk to her about being responsible cat mom and like what's in there food, what?

Jordan Savage:

is in there food. Bella, she was a thick girl and she liked being that way. But may she rest in peace.

Johnny Spoiler:

Yeah, sorry, your cat passed away way, way to end his show about feel good movies. Okay, in my defense, ladies and gentlemen, gentlemen of the jury, I didn't know, the cat was dead. Your finger steroids Like it's, it's, it's um. What's a popular pet brand? Feisty, no, feasty. What's a cat? Yeah, you know.

Jordan Savage:

Beast.

Johnny Spoiler:

That's what it's called fancy feast for a fancy beast. Yeah, something about being a beast fancy beast.

Jordan Savage:

That's what she was. She would have.
