hyperglobulinemia."},{"startTime":838.54,"endTime":840.54,"body":"I'm not gonna sing that word."},{"startTime":840.54,"endTime":843.54,"body":"His USG was 1008."},{"startTime":843.54,"endTime":846.54,"body":"His chest are as we're unremarkable."},{"startTime":846.54,"endTime":849.54,"body":"We did do an abdominal ultrasound because at this point"},{"startTime":849.54,"endTime":851.54,"body":"we were kind of just looking for anything."},{"startTime":851.54,"endTime":853.54,"body":"And that was pretty unremarkable."},{"startTime":853.54,"endTime":855.54,"body":"We found an incidental splinic mass,"},{"startTime":855.54,"endTime":859.54,"body":"but that was not causing his symptoms that he presented for."},{"startTime":859.54,"endTime":863.54,"body":"And then he did have a temperature of 104.104.2,"},{"startTime":863.54,"endTime":866.54,"body":"which is extremely high, not normal."},{"startTime":866.54,"endTime":871.54,"body":"And so we were kind of going through the list of what could possibly be going on."},{"startTime":871.54,"endTime":876.54,"body":"And one of the first things that comes to mind is a tick-borne disease or virus."},{"startTime":876.54,"endTime":879.54,"body":"But the owners did not want to do that at that time."},{"startTime":879.54,"endTime":881.54,"body":"So we did not do that PCR."},{"startTime":881.54,"endTime":885.54,"body":"And then on exam he was very, very weak."},{"startTime":885.54,"endTime":887.54,"body":"Couldn't hold a self-up for very long."},{"startTime":887.54,"endTime":889.54,"body":"His eyes were also sunken in."},{"startTime":889.54,"endTime":892.54,"body":"So after discussing everything with the owner,"},{"startTime":892.54,"endTime":894.54,"body":"and like I said, they didn't want to do the tick-borne panel."},{"startTime":894.54,"endTime":898.54,"body":"We decided to just treat for a fever of unknown origin."},{"startTime":898.54,"endTime":901.54,"body":"So what that included was hospitalization on IV fluids."},{"startTime":901.54,"endTime":904.54,"body":"We did a IV antibiotic, which is unison,"},{"startTime":904.54,"endTime":906.54,"body":"and then we gave him serenia."},{"startTime":906.54,"endTime":909.54,"body":"We did multiple doses of each medication."},{"startTime":909.54,"endTime":911.54,"body":"And we kind of just continued to check his temp,"},{"startTime":911.54,"endTime":913.54,"body":"make sure it was going down."},{"startTime":913.54,"endTime":916.54,"body":"The first day he was here, I don't think it really moved much."},{"startTime":916.54,"endTime":919.54,"body":"I think it went actually up a little bit and then started to drop,"},{"startTime":919.54,"endTime":921.54,"body":"but it was never normal that day."},{"startTime":921.54,"endTime":925.54,"body":"And then the next day it did start to drop a little bit more"},{"startTime":925.54,"endTime":928.54,"body":"and kind of go into the normal range."},{"startTime":928.54,"endTime":931.54,"body":"But he was still, I think he normally runs high,"},{"startTime":931.54,"endTime":935.54,"body":"but I think when he left it was in like the 102.3 or 4 range,"},{"startTime":935.54,"endTime":938.54,"body":"which is technically normal, but it's high and normal."},{"startTime":938.54,"endTime":941.54,"body":"So like I said, after he was here on fluids, he started to improve."},{"startTime":941.54,"endTime":943.54,"body":"He kind of perked up a little bit."},{"startTime":943.54,"endTime":945.54,"body":"He started eating for us."},{"startTime":945.54,"endTime":949.54,"body":"And so therefore he was eating, so we felt comfortable sending him home on oral meds."},{"startTime":949.54,"endTime":952.54,"body":"And so the owner stick him home."},{"startTime":952.54,"endTime":954.54,"body":"Like I said, he got better at home progressively."},{"startTime":954.54,"endTime":958.54,"body":"He started eating, acting normal, playing with his toys, things like that."},{"startTime":958.54,"endTime":962.54,"body":"So I think he was here for almost a full two days."},{"startTime":962.54,"endTime":963.54,"body":"Sorry, yeah, he was here for two days."},{"startTime":963.54,"endTime":966.54,"body":"He went home on the second day towards the end of the day."},{"startTime":966.54,"endTime":971.54,"body":"So he went home on December 28th and he actually came back on January 1st for a splenectomy."},{"startTime":971.54,"endTime":974.54,"body":"Do that incidental splenic mass that we is 50/50,"},{"startTime":983.54,"endTime":985.54,"body":"but they still all have the risk of rupturing."},{"startTime":985.54,"endTime":989.54,"body":"So owners are very proactive, which I agree, because it was pretty big."},{"startTime":989.54,"endTime":990.54,"body":"Yeah."},{"startTime":990.54,"endTime":992.54,"body":"And we took it out when he felt other."},{"startTime":1008.54,"endTime":1014.54,"body":"And so we just kind of agreed to focus the finance and just commitment of treatment"},{"startTime":1014.54,"endTime":1018.54,"body":"or two treatment to get him feeling better as opposed to knowing the why."},{"startTime":1018.54,"endTime":1023.54,"body":"And because he was responding, that was also a good sign of what we were doing was working."},{"startTime":1023.54,"endTime":1028.54,"body":"So if it wasn't working, then yeah, we would go back to that discussion of diagnostics."},{"startTime":1028.54,"endTime":1030.54,"body":"But he's one of our frequent flyers."},{"startTime":1030.54,"endTime":1033.54,"body":"And when he came in that day, I actually went and picked him
