According to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. In today's episode, Denise talks with Amy Stubanas, who is living with CF. Together with her husband Wade, Amy is raising a 9-year-old daughter and working hard on the process to adopt another child to complete their family. Amy shares what it's like to have CF and tells us about the life-changing medication that increased her lung functioning by over 25% in 2019.
In addition to checking out the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation website, Amy says "you gotta" check out The Frey Life -- a YouTube Channel produced by another family living and parenting with CF. While you are at it -- please visit Amy & Wade's adoption Facebook page: Stubanas Adoption Journey.
