“When the angels went away from them into heaven..” —Luke 2:15a 

God will use anything to get our attention. 

What is God using to get your attention? 

24 “The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. 26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us.” —Acts 17:24-27 

“When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.” —Luke 2:15-16 

Investigate to try and discern what God is saying. 

How to Investigate:

• Find a list of Scriptures dealing with whatever the topic is.
• Read and pray through the Scriptures.
• Seek wisdom from spiritually mature people.
• Read and listen to books and messages to give you a different perspective.
• Respond to what God is asking of you.

17 “And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. 18 And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.” —Luke 2:17-20 

Be willing and ready to share how God is transforming you. 

“Preach the gospel at all times, if necessary, use words.” St. Francis of Assisi 

Ways to Share the Good News of Jesus:

• Bumper sticker 
• Act of kindness/love 
• Personal invite to Christmas Eve Service 
• Share your faith story 
• Share what God is currently doing in you 
• Share the saving message of Jesus. 

16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” —Romans 1:16-17
