About Dr. Keiva Bland
Dr. Keiva Bland is a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon from Detroit, Michigan who practices general surgery with an emphasis on breast diseases.  She attended Howard University in Washington DC for both undergraduate studies and medical school.  She graduated from the College of Medicine in 2000 and went on to do her general surgery residency at Wayne State University in Detroit.  Upon completion of her residency in 2006, she completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.  She returned to Detroit to Wayne State University in 2008 as faculty and is practicing in the Detroit Medical Center and Karmanos Cancer Institute.  She has book chapters, scholarly articles, and invited lectures to her credit.  She is involved in outreach speaking locally for community programs, mentoring, and mission work in the Dominican Republic.  She is a member of the Psi Delta Omega Chapter of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
