In this sermon, Pastor Teddy Lee from City on a Hill, unpacks Revelation 2:1–7, where Jesus is calling out the church in Ephesus—a church known for its sound doctrine, faithful service, and perseverance. Yet despite all of their commendable qualities, Jesus lovingly confronts them with one sobering concern: they had forsaken their first love.
This passage invites us to examine the condition of our own lives, repent where necessary, and return to the simple joy of loving Jesus above all else. Ultimately, this is a call not merely to right belief or faithful ministry, but to a relationship with Christ that remains our deepest affection and greatest delight.
