In this episode, Two Dozy Broads discuss sachets & stones for hospital stays.
We also go through our yearly podcasting stats. And there is a secret word prize!
Well, two thousand twenty-four is finally drawing to a close. Thank God. And what a year, what a year it's been on every level. The Don is looking forward to a few holiday cookies. Which are sitting here. Yeah. Gary is looking forward to making a few cookies and little bread. And Blaze looks great in her holiday ribbons. I am Linda Stro Shane of the Mercury Academy.
SPEAKER_00And I am Sandy from Gemological Esoterica. And we are two Dozy Bras. Well, this month we are having a secret word prize. I thought we'd end the year on a weird note. The secret word is Moonrise. Moonrise. M-O-O-N-R-I-S-E. All one word. Remember, spelling counts. Be the second person to text Moonrise to 651-246-2022, and you will receive a Sunstone Worry Stone. Text carefully. Oh, please do. Yes. We don't know how many of you have spent time in the hospital in the last year, but you and I both have.
SPEAKER_01We sure have.
SPEAKER_00Nothing major for either of us, just inconvenience. That's one way to put it. Yeah, no kidding. And it has come to both of our attention that one should never go into a hospital intuitively unprotected.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, don't go in with your knickers unprotected.
SPEAKER_00That's right. At least if at all possible. You know, emergency situations are excluded. Oh, yeah. Hospitals seem to bring out the worst in some people and the odd in others, or both. The energy in them is horrendous. Sickness and death, and some very, very bad smells.
SPEAKER_01Very bad.
SPEAKER_00Why would we want to be around such things? But as usual, we have a couple of suggestions that might mitigate some of the off energies.
SPEAKER_01If you can actually bring some of these in. Other than that, you just surround yourself with an egg of light and hope for the best. Anyway, I have a couple of herbs. You can put all of these together in a nice little uh sachet if you want. We have, excuse me, first of all, bay leaf. It is uh fire, and the sun, it is solar fire, which means it deals with the total package of self, the total person. This is good for healing, purification, strength, and it removes curses. So if somebody somebody cursed you into the hospital, then you're you're going to be able to do it.
SPEAKER_00But you might have problems elsewhere.
SPEAKER_01You might, but just wait, waggle the bay leaf around. Anyway, you can also put in the sachet a little burdock, just a pinch. You don't have to have a huge amount. Bay leaf, you can use one, you could use up to three, but one works, you don't have to do too much. Burdock is water, it is ruled by Venus, so it deals not only with uh economic matters, it deals with emotional, emotional uh bonding, love, this sort of thing. And it also deals with money. Money, money, money. Well, so does Bailey, even if you use it, right? Uh yeah. Protection, healing. Uh it's good at getting rid of negativity and evil. So you see, there's a theme going on here.
SPEAKER_00Isn't there?
SPEAKER_01There is a theme going on. Now the last one we add is a little bit of barley grain. Don't cook the barley first, you'll end up with a really soggy little set of shape. Just take a couple little little kernels of little grains, maybe three, if you can count them out. Otherwise, just again, a little pinch. This is fire, but it is Martian fire. So it deals with will activity, controlling your anger, controlling your your rage. And this keeps away ego evil and negativity. And you can uh put them in a little baggie or put them in a little sachet, affirm it to your health and healing and protection in every healthful living way.
SPEAKER_00And uh you know what George Carlin used to say. He said you take a bay leaf and you put it under each arm if you don't have deodorant, but you smell you smell like soup.
SPEAKER_01There you go. And you could you could actually probably make soup with some of these.
SPEAKER_00Not after you've used it for what you're using it for. No, don't use any of that for food after that.
SPEAKER_01No, well no, you wouldn't. You would it it would not be good. No, it would not. It would be bad. No. But you uh you affirm it and you carry it. You put it you can put it in uh in your luggage. You don't have to carry it around with you. And even if you're not going to the hospital, you can have it around.
SPEAKER_00There you go.
SPEAKER_01Because it's this winter with all of the little germs running around.
SPEAKER_00Oh, there we go.
SPEAKER_01It's nice to have something. So put it in, put it in your purse, put it in your car, put it somewhere. Put it somewhere, put it somewhere, and uh and it will be helpful.
SPEAKER_00There we go. Well, and I have a couple of stones. Good. The first one is banded agate, and it can be any variety, it can be Lake Superior, it can be Botswana, whatever it is. Bandit agate is protective.
SPEAKER_01Good.
SPEAKER_00And most people have encountered a banded agate in their life, which they've picked up on the beach or whatever it is. Consider that's your agate.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00And take and charge it up, throw it in your pocket, throw it in your purse. It is protection, especially physical protection.
SPEAKER_01What a good idea.
SPEAKER_00So that is a really, really good one. Bandit agate. And again, everybody seems to have picked up an agate. Remember, we were kids, God, we'd be picking up stuff all the time. Some of what we don't want to talk about. That could be another podcast. Probably will be. Probably will be at times. The next one is Sunstone. And Sunstone is to gently cut cords. Ah. You and I both have realized that when you spend time in the hospital, a lot of people like to cord you.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it is energetically cord center, octopus tentacles everywhere.
SPEAKER_00Everywhere. And sunstone, put it in your charge it up, put it in your pocket, purse, bra, whatever you want to do, and it will just continuously gently cut cords so that you can. Now I will grant that if somebody really gloms onto you, you're gonna have to do something afterwards. But that's where the sachet is for. But those are two really, really good stones to take to the hospital with you. And neither one of them, neither one is expensive, and they are both relatively small. And again, you could even put those in your sachet, little sachet bed. Yeah, you could put them. And that you those you don't have to throw away afterwards. You may keep those.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's good. So now we would like to commend all of the hospital staff we have encountered this year. They have been so helpful and polite, even with two old dozies like us. Oh, yes. And we're a challenge. We're very nice, but we're we're dozy. We're dozy, yes. Everyone was professional, and all the procedures were done with great expertise and competence, and they all worked out well. Yes, they did. We were very blessed. Several of the staff learned we had a podcast and politely inquired about it. Uh, we're not exactly sure what they really thought, but that is the moot point in this. We commend every person we met. You have very difficult and often thankless jobs, and we're very glad you are here. Bravo and thank you. Yes, thank you very much.
SPEAKER_00Well, as this is the end of the year, yes, it is. Our podcasting place sends us statistics every year. We have ratings. We have ratings. And uh so as we have done the last two or three years, we would like to uh talk about some of the ratings. And the first thing we would like to talk about is the most popular cities in the world that listen to us.
SPEAKER_01Well, first and not really a surprise is Minneapolis, Minnesota. Yeah. Next, we have Frankfurt am Main in Hesse.
SPEAKER_00Now that that surprises us every single year. It does. Thank you, all you German, all you German people who are listening to us. We don't we don't even dunk. There you go.
SPEAKER_01Thanks a lot, yeah. Uh we also have Hudson, Wisconsin.
SPEAKER_00Well, we have we have many customers in Hudson, Wisconsin, then we also have St.
SPEAKER_01Paul, Minnesota. Uh obviously the the St. Paulites aren't as fascinated by us. No.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the numbers go way down after that.
SPEAKER_01They love us in Germany. They're not they're not too cool on us in St. Paul's.
SPEAKER_00No, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_01And then we also have Calgary, Alberta, and we're very grateful.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and there are some other ones, but this was these were the top five this year. Last year they gave us, they gave us a few other ones. Then we go into there are 15 different countries listening to us.
SPEAKER_01That's amazing.
SPEAKER_00Now, the top one, of course, with with well over over the top is the United States. Good. Germany is second, though. Thank you again, all you all you people from Germany. Text us, let us know what's going on. We'd love to, we'd love to say hey. Wait, what? Yes. The next one is Canada. The next one is Singapore. Singapore. And the United Kingdom. But we we we know your we know most of our uh Great Britain people. Thank you, Great Britain. Yes, we do. Thank you. And then there is also uh some other some of the other countries, but these were the top five. But if you are if you are listening from any other country, hey, hey, we're happy to have you.
SPEAKER_01We are we're we're very grateful.
SPEAKER_00And then the I think this is the last top, oh yes. Then our top episodes for being downloaded. Yes. Here was number one.
SPEAKER_01Smudges and astrology.
SPEAKER_00I don't even remember smudges and astrology.
SPEAKER_01Well, at our age, it's amazing. We remember to get together and do this. And number two no cure for the summertime blues. Is that what I mean?
SPEAKER_00No cure for the summer, yeah. And then the next one, number three, was curses and retrogrades.
SPEAKER_01Ah, we've lived through that all year.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_01Next we have the curse of the chicken purse.
SPEAKER_00I vaguely remember that one.
SPEAKER_01I remember the purse.
SPEAKER_00I remember the purse, yeah. I ran across the coin purse last night, so I remember the purse. And then the fifth one nothing, nothing, and more, nothing. People loved nothing.
SPEAKER_01They loved nothing. I was so happy to listen to this so yes. Talk about nothing.
SPEAKER_00So, yes, so that those were our statistics for the year. We just thought that we would share them.
SPEAKER_01Yes, we would.
SPEAKER_00Yes. So another year is wrapping up, even after the statistics have been given. Yes. Thank you to all of our listeners. You know who you are. We don't, but you know who you are. Without all of you, we'd we'd still be doing this, but for our own preferred satisfaction.
SPEAKER_01We we impress so many people who think we're just nuts when you you bring up our statistics. Yes. People people we're related to, yeah, who think we're just beyond crazy. But they don't listen to us. They don't listen, but they they look and they they are so amazed that suddenly it's like we're two other people. Yes. We're real, we're almost credible. I wouldn't give it, I wouldn't go that far. I'm being an optimist.
SPEAKER_00You are. Well, maybe for maybe for 20 25, we'll uh we'll worry about that. We'll think of we'll worry about that one next month.
SPEAKER_01So, from me, Sandy from Gemological Esoterica and Linda Strochane of the Mercury Academy. We remain two dosy broads. Happy New Year! Good.
