This month, Two Dozy Broads discuss our Karmic Bucket Lists. So what's on yours?
The month of April has come and almost gone. Another Mercury retrograde bites the dust, except here. Boy, except here. Except here. This is the fortress of retrogrades. But we're still here. Yep.
SPEAKER_01Against after some manner or another.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, against all odds. The Don is wishing car cruising season was a couple of weeks closer. I wish it was too. Sandy does too. Gary is wishing we would all go outside and leave him alone. That'll never happen. No. And Blaze is sitting regally on the couch looking as beautiful as ever. And we are Linda Strochane of the Mercury Academy. And Sandy from Gemological Esoterica.
SPEAKER_01And we are two dozy bras. This month's theme is so what's on your bucket list for the next lifetime? Uh-huh. I don't know if anyone else, other than the two of us, talk about this. But when something seems overwhelming, just plain, undoable, you and I will sometimes say to each, ah, we'll just save it for the next lifetime. Exactly. And I have known people over the years that have done that. I had a very good customer who was in the old shop, and she had some horrible things happen to her, and said to me one day, I have decided to forego all of my bad karma for this lifetime and put it in the next lifetime.
SPEAKER_00She's a brave woman.
SPEAKER_01You know, and the thing about that is I looked at her, but you don't argue with people like that. I mean, she'd already made up her mind, she'd already done whatever ritual in her mind she had already done to the city.
SPEAKER_00Who knows what she actually agreed to.
SPEAKER_01What she had actually agreed to. Exactly. But when you sit there and it's like, if you you have X amount of crap that happens in this lifetime. Yes. And if you get really tired of it and you say, oh no, let's take this bundle and move, and of course, bundle in our house is a good word. Yes, it is. Yeah, look up the gory deck in case anybody wants to know about it.
SPEAKER_00Edward Gory deck.
SPEAKER_01Yep, in case anybody wants to know about the bundle. Yes. So anyway, and you want to move it into your next lifetime. That means that instead of X amount like like one egg and then the next egg and then the next egg, and you have this whole batch of eggs. Yes. She is taking an egg and she's putting it into the next, so then she has double the amount. Yes. But we don't know that it's double. It could end up multiplying with whatever was there.
SPEAKER_00You have no idea. And there's all of the small print that we never read, and we are it is closed from our eyes generally anyway, because it's the next life. And it all is predicated on what we learned this time around. Yes. And that was part of why we had that problem with that question. Yes. Is I don't know how I don't know if I'll be elevated anymore or I'll devolve into something else by the end of life. I don't know where I'll be. No. No.
SPEAKER_01No. And so it you know, it it's just one of those things that that one always seemed we always we kid about it, but she did it for real. For real. For real.
SPEAKER_00But it's worth thinking about.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes. So we're gonna kind of it it's gonna be a rambling thing today, and it's gonna be kind of about this, but kind of about other things. You're gonna have to forgive us, but this is today is a ramble month.
SPEAKER_00Well, there is a center. It's just that we don't know where the center of the donut is. Yes. Well, we I have I have a couple of strange stories that have no center, but they have a beginning, a middle, and an end. That's pretty good. Sort of an end. Sort of an end, okay. They're dear friends of my parents. Okay. And she Who are both gone now. They're both gone now. They are both wherever they are. And she was, God love her, a very mercenary individual. And my mother babysat her.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Your mother was. Yes, they were what about 10 years apart, 12 years apart, yes.
SPEAKER_00So we're talking the 30s. When well, our in in our world, when we grew up, everybody knew everybody. Yes, because we are all east siders. We are all east siders. And if you look up east side of St. Paul, you you there there is this thing that goes on. And it goes on no matter uh which group is living there. It's a thing in this space. Uh and this is years ago when I was just starting into this, and she one day asked me about reincarnation. She did? She did. She brought it up. Wow. She started asking me very pointed questions about reincarnation. And her husband, this would have been in the late 70s, uh, sat back with his cigarette, took a puff, and he said, You know why she wants to know about reincarnation. And I said, Why? Because this woman was not interested in the esoteric in any way, shape, or form. No, I know. It was the devil's tool. Anyway, he said, because she wants to bury everything she has this life and be able to come back in the next life and dig it up. That's why she wants to know about reincarnation.
SPEAKER_01And that's psychic pin number with her. Oh, God, yeah. Oh, funny. I and uh it had to have been something though, because my mother, she never came out and said it, but it was always very obvious that she wanted to leave what she had to herself in the next lifetime, too. Oh it must have been it, maybe it was an east side thing. Who knows? But anyway.
SPEAKER_00And uh, I don't remember the story that we talked about uh before for for my second part of this. No, well we we'll get around to that. We'll get around to it eventually. We'll get around to that. But uh I will say, bringing up my uh my mother's mother, my my grandmother, is uh as she got older, she became in her own little way obsessed with things Chinese. Okay, imperial Chinese. Ah, okay. And my one uncle and aunt were able to uh give her two glorious uh uh lithos, okay, beautiful colored lithos of uh a Mandarin and his wife. Okay. And she'd sit, and look at those, she loved those, and she'd say to me, you know, I had to have been Chinese in a past life. And I said, Were were you uh the Mandarin's lady or the Empress Empress? She said, I have no idea, but I know I was Chinese. Okay. And how do you grow up quote unquote normal when you get all of this as you're a child? Right. So all of that sort of thing was around like air, even though nobody admitted to it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that uh like I say, then the other one I I would like to talk about, this one kind of breaks me up. Is this would have been around the same period of time when you started to get into the esoteric. Yeah. And I started getting into Buddhism. Yeah. And we still hung out for a while. You have to remember, dear listeners, that there was probably at least 20 years in between where you and I didn't really talk to each other. No. We might see each other at a family thing, but not very often.
SPEAKER_00Generally it was a funeral.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, a funeral we'd say hey and we'd move on. That's it. And um, it took Aunt Uni Brow to get us back together again. When she was laying there in the the the hospital bed.
SPEAKER_00When she was laying in the hospital bed, not dying. Not dying. No, everybody thought she was, and so everybody gathered around, and it's virtually like like an old comic book where suddenly she sits up and says, Never mind.
SPEAKER_01Hedda, one of the people that I worked with, um, her father was an old farmer and he was in his upper 80s, and there was a passel of kids. And for whatever reason, the nurses had called and said, Your dad's dying. And so the whole family came there, and this nurse said, Now you need to let him know that it's okay to go. And he was laying there comatose in bed. Okay, and they all gathered around the bed. Yeah. And one of them, not her, but one of them said, Dad, we just want to let you know it's okay to go. Within three seconds, he had set bolt upright, and he called them names, which we we keep this podcast, try and keep it clean. And he went and he said, I'm not ready to go yet. And he lived for a couple more months. He must have scared them witlessly. She came, she came home or came back to work that that next Monday, and she said, and you know, I was always the one they always figured was was Miss S. Hysteric, and she comes up to me and she goes, Do you know what just happened? And I just laughed because, you know, because the thing is, is that that new thing of you need to tell the person it's okay to go.
SPEAKER_00You didn't, you don't think they're gonna have the last word. No, many last words.
SPEAKER_01They're gonna argue with you. But the thing is, is that that saying that to somebody, I don't think I ever said that to either one of my parents because they knew when they were gonna go. They didn't need permission to go. I don't think your parents needed permission to go either.
SPEAKER_00No, I I remember we had they had told us after uh my father was taken off of his pacemaker to have uh a moment and say things, and we all stood there in tears.
SPEAKER_01We did that with my when you were there with my mom too.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and and we were we were all saying how much we loved him and and virtually goodbye. Right, right. And we're standing there, and we're standing there, and one minute turns into ten, ten turns into twenty. Finally, my brother and I look at each other and went shrug. And eventually uh they all left. And when one of ours goes, the dead gather around around the bed, yep. And they had all been around the bed, and they started to leave.
SPEAKER_01That happened with my mom too, remember? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I was I was alone in the room at that point. I would have said it regardless, but anyway, I was alone in the room. And I looked at all and going away and I said, haven't you forgotten someone? And they all turned and went, just smiled and off they went. And it he uh he he he did pass the next week, but uh he again he he woke up in his own way and said some really interesting things, some of which actually have happened. He must have they must have moved the the little uh the little dial so that it was we're gonna say some things that sound really goofy, but in some way they're going to make sense. And uh that does that does happen, but that's a great story. That is just that is like the best story. That is a family story that you just would love in a family.
SPEAKER_01And my mother now, that last couple of days, she went and she was in a coma, but she was saying goodbye to everybody and this and that. Uh-huh. And I went in that one morning and I knew she was she was going. And uh, I didn't have to say anything to her. And everybody showed up in the room, all the ghostly people. Yeah. Everybody but my father. And it wasn't until my father showed up that we knew that she could go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So basically it was kind of like, well, come on, we're going. Kind of like they were going going to fishing.
SPEAKER_01Fishing, it was fishing because he was wearing his fishing hat. So lucky her, she got to go fishing as her first act in the afterlife. Is he what is the afterlife? Well, crappies are biting. Yeah. And I know the spot. And I know the spot. Well, anyway, we'll skip this one. There are actually some some stones to assist in past life recall. Not so much in future, but in past life recall. One of them is called petrified wood, which is very common. It's where Agate and Kalcedony replaces wood, truly replaces wood. And you get these beautiful pieces of wood that look like wood but they're stone. Wow. But if you do, if you clean and seal yourself and do meditation and this and that, you may sometimes be able to get back a few lifetimes.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01And petrified wood, I've never found is good for like massive amounts of lifetimes. Okay. Then, but petrified wood is one really good one. Okay. And also because it's the uh the way it is, it does offer a certain amount of protection and grounding. Like not a ton. Not a ton. I mean, if you end up in World War II, we're not talking about that. But if it just turns out you had a normal life and you were eating a, you know, fish from the crappie, the crappie, and you got bones stuck in your magic crappie. Yeah, and you died, you know, big deal. Uh then the other one. I'm at that point, believe me. I will tell you about a conversation I had with one of my best friends last night, and you will understand why that is funny. Oh, okay. Um, I will not mention her name on air. No. Uh, the other one is called Biggs Picture Jasper, and Biggs is for past life regression. And blue Biggs, if you can find it anymore, okay, will get you back as far as you want to go.
SPEAKER_00Even farther.
SPEAKER_01Even further than you want to go. Now, that one does not offer a whole crap load of protection or anything else. But if you want to go back, you can go back.
SPEAKER_00The other So you're you're basically climbing K2 in your shorts.
SPEAKER_01Pretty much. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Pretty much with no shoes. No shoes.
SPEAKER_01And uh the other one, if you're really interested, is called inhydros, which is water encased in quartz crystal. Oh, that's and that one will get you back, but that will also offer you a little bit of protection because it is rather protective.
SPEAKER_00Now, being that it's a water basin, that would be more your emotions when you're in a in a life. The the the pictures, the uh what clothes do I wear, you know, all of that stuff.
SPEAKER_01Well, the bigs is gonna get you back. What what did you do in your past lifetime? How did you feel like that? The petrif yeah, the petrified wood is gonna be more like seeing the earth the way it was, seeing the cities the way it they were, and that type of thing. But the bigs is gonna be, oh my god, what did I do?
SPEAKER_00What did I do?
SPEAKER_01What did I do?
SPEAKER_00So seemed like a good thing at the time. So you have a few things, I believe. Well, I do, and the main thing is un the things you mentioned with stones and things like that, that's wonderful. But I must say, if you don't know what you're doing, don't go too far.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00And don't try do anything with herbs or smudges or scents or incense or anything like that, because you do that and you can end up in a boggy hole that it's really hard to get out of. And you will probably need help on this side to get it cleaned up.
SPEAKER_01And hopefully you can find some.
SPEAKER_00And hopefully, you know somebody who's willing to uh basically kick your ass a little, but uh help you out. And so you you do this with great caution. I I will tell as I did before, uh our youngest great-niece who is wise beyond her years, uh, she was about seven, and we were talking about past lives. She brought something up on it. And I said, you know, a lot of grown-ups now, adults, are really interested in in past lives and finding out. And she said, Why in the world is that? And I said, Well, they want to know, was I Cleopatra or something like that? And she looked at me. She she's got a really good death death race there. And she looked at me and she said, Why are they focused on the past? And she long skinny arms and she reached one forward, put putting up, and she said, Why are they thinking about the past when they should be focused on she raised her arm up? The future. And I said, I really don't know. But it's nice. It's nice on a wet, rainy Sunday afternoon, but you're not going to get any information that is more important to what you're doing now than what you can already access. It's maybe more fun because you're dressed differently. But I speak from personal experience with clients who thought they were someone really something and turned out to be a uh a Polish washerwoman.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00And uh Bring out your dad. Um very uh very not happy in that. But uh well, we hope we have you thinking about past, present, future, all of the above.
SPEAKER_01All of the above, no, none of the above.
SPEAKER_00And as as you figured it out, Aunt Uni Brought us back together. There we go. Yep, through through strange means known but to her. That's right. Whether you believe so it's her fault. Yep, there we go. Whether you believe in the afterlife or not, whether you believe in reincarnation or not, this topic most certainly can get you thinking. Yes, it can. So, for another month, I am Sandy from Gemological Esoterica. And I am Linda Stro Shane of the Mercury Academy, and we remain two dozy broads. Goodbye.
